I love their special fish tacos today. It has a flavor and I feel like it’s very authentic Mexican tacos. My husband tried the steak which was perfectly cooked. Thank you very much I will be there again!

The atmosphere was good. We got seated outside in the heat. We had to ask for the overhead fans to be turned on and water for our table. Food was of a good standard. My steak was slightly over the medium rare that I asked for. Bar service was prompt and friendly. Our food took a while, but only because they were very busy for Sunday lunch.

I went to Aspley Tavern with my wife and son on February 5th. I had the calamari and a veggie burger, my son had chicken wings followed by a mushroom garlic pasta fish, and my wife had garlic bread followed by a risotto. Mine was fine, but the calamari portion was really stingy. I’ve never seen so small a portion. My son’s was enjoyable and the wings were plentiful and tasty. My wife’s garlic bread was good, too, and filling. However, I had to put in a complaint to the young waitress about the risotto. Risotto is supposed to be rich in texture and taste. I’ve eaten many in my life and cooked as many as that. This was nothing of a sort and had the texture of a watery gruel. In Taiwan, where I spent 20 years, they have a really great gruel called congee, which can be thick and delicious done right. This was nothing and resembled something that was made from leftovers. It had no consistency and no taste. In a restaurant, that shouldn’t be happening. I’m sorry, but no. That’s not acceptable for over twenty bucks. My wife asked me not to complain in person, but I had to. I heard nothing of it after politely informing a young lady of my concerns. no follow up. Therefore no return customer. That was a deflating experience. We’d wanted to visit Aspley Tavern since I arrived in Australia six months ago. I don’t think we will go again.

A tavern in the burbs of Brisbane that offers excellent well cooked and presented food at reasonable prices. Good selection of tap beers and ciders. Very clean facilities, disability friendly. Pleasant atmosphere. Open Monday night! Great discovery!

The best Sunday roast. Quick service too.

The food was amazing! We booked a table of over 30 people the Tavern was understaffed however the service we received last night was nothing but 100% these young people were so helpful and did their jobs what seemed no effort they kept their cool amongst our big families craziness and I just want to commend them and say thank you so very much we felt welcomed and supported the food was just beautiful seriously you would have never thought they were understaffed as the customer service was on point! Keep up the great work! Thank you from the Minniecon family & friends!

Staff were very friendly but food was bit of a let down. Got a parmy and the french schnitzel. Tasted very cheap and lowkey seemed like they bought everything from the Coles frozen section. Mushroom sauce tasted like gravy with a couple of piddly bits of mushrooms in it, bit confusing, thought they gave us the wrong sauce. Also the bacon bits on both the garlic bread and schnitzel were burnt. Hollandaise sauce didn’t come on it to begin with and when it came back there was way too much, was a bit sickly. X

Staff are always friendly and food is good. Just added some photos from todays visit July 30 2022. Haven’t been for awhile but food is still good.

Had the pork sunday Roast. Where to start, cauliflower was cold, carrots where raw, stuffing balls where very dry and burnt, crackling was dry (probably the worst I've ever had) Roast potatoes were hard (teeth breaker). After reading the reviews I can understand now. Big changes needed

This was our second visit to the Aspley tavern for the Sunday roast. Unfortunately the second visit was not a great experience, no Yorkshire pudding, the meat was shredded and gravy mixed into it. I had the pork and the flavour wasn’t great. We won’t go back again.

Clean and tidy. Nice food and a choice of beers and wiskey not found at your usual pub.

Went here for some beers and some vodka shots, nice drinks and price is half decent. Service took a little while with bar staff being quite distracted and the seating for food is so close to the bar it is concerning and strange. The layout does not really make a lot of sense and I believe it is poorly designed although the place was clean and the staff were welcoming once they turned around and realised you were waiting to be served.

I have attended the venue on a daily basis. I have found the staff to be very cooperative. I have a specific requirement to utilise the tab. Staff are very conversant and up to date with the overall laws and conditions. Staff are responsive to changes and variations that are placed upon them. Management are certainly effective in monitoring the overall input of bets and reconciliations of transactions even under pressure. Quick efficient service and staff well trained for specific tab operations. Congratulations to all. Stephen Bunz

Service from one (black hair and tattooed)who works in the main bar was so ignorant to us newcomers yesterday at around 3pm 25/10/2023 she was serving no one and we were waiting for keno she went from behind the bar and started wiping down tables knowing we were waiting at the keno,phone rings and she was on there laughing and talking for around 3 minutes before we went and rounded up another person to do our keno .she was totally rude and I think she needed to be shown the door not good for service..we went and played pokies and in that area you had the best staff anyone could ask for but this ignorant one was rude and bad for service ,check your cctv and you will see for yourself

Had dinner with friends and family here tonight and was very disappointed. My crispy skin salmon was skinless. I wouldn’t have ordered it if I’d known, completely false advertising, but I was too hungry and in a hurry to send it back and wait for something else. Also the aioli was yuck - super smoky flavour- it didn’t even taste like aioli. And none of us liked the salad dressing. Chips were good and the venue was nice and clean. Staff were polite but i won’t be eating there again.

Love the food here! Quick and yummy. The Dianne sauce is the best I have ever had! Compliments to the chef 👨‍🍳

I've been once. The pub looks nice, but the food was horrible. I would not recommend it. My partner and i both didnt finish our dinner because it was just bad, and our daughter got a tuna mac that was revolting. This was April of 2021 though so maybe its gotten better by now. I would hope they have hired better cooks

Huge improvement in the food in recent weeks, Sunday roast was best we've had in a very long time. Will return very soon.

I’ve been here several times, its always a lovely experience. The staff are great! Environment is very clean & organised. The food never disappoints.

Love the new chef. You can tell that he really cares about what he’s serving up to patrons. My daughter and I had a delicious lunch and she’s a very picky eater.

Terrible access into a very small and cramped carpark. Very busy as several businesses share the same driveway and parking. Pub itself is very clean and tidy. Doest look too welcoming from the outside but is nice and modern inside. Small to medium size pokie room. Seperate dining and bar area. Just had a cold drink and a gamble. Close quarters gaming at this venue. Several of the machines even on lowest volume setting are way too loud.. ruins the atmosphere a loud as machine. Patrons are friendly as are the staff. Probably best off parking across the road at shopping centre and walking over if it's busy.. it's a terrible location with terrible busy 1 way roads around it. Otherwise it's ok when your in there

Chicken snitzel was great. Pepper sce was well seasoned. Chips were crispy Salas was fresh.

Great atmosphere kick back place that's chill and wins are pretty good better then most ;)

We stopped in the for lunch yesterday. We were pleasantly surprised that it was kids eat free, but was disappointed to find out that they no longer do the Sumday roast My partner ordered the chicken burger and I ordered the doorstep steak sandwich and we shared a bacon and cheese garlic bread. The garlic bread was great and was undoubtedly the best part of our meal. The chicken burger was ok. The doorstep steak sandwich was noway near the size of a doorstep. The beer was lovely and cold though.

Great trivia, Hit and miss food... The steaks are good one week not great the next, the chef is unable to consistently cook a steak to order, in my case medium rare ..

Amazing food, best pizzas and cheesy garlic bread. Outdoor kids play kitchen for entertaining toddlers.

Outstanding customer service and outstanding food quality. Love Monday to Friday specials. You can find monthly special on beers and wines as well. It has pokies to kill time while waiting for our mates. Love this place I will visit this place again.

Always enjoy coming in for lunch with my mum. The lovey tall happy Lady that served us drinks and food was a superstar. It Was the first time my mum has been asked it she was a senior and got a discount her meal. Not sure If she is management but she sure knew what she was doing. Looking forward to our next visit.

Fantastic environment. Lovely staff, greeted by one lovely lady (Didn’t quite see her name under her hair long blond hair but very bubbly) at the entry upon the restaurant seated us then notified us of chef specials available, then the same staff member took our food order followed by our drinks and serving our meal. Made our visit very pleasant. Well done to your fantastic staff member doing well for your venue.

Monday is our night. Our date night. 2 for 1 meal deals. Happy with the staff and compliments to the night chef.

Nothing special, the layout is so weird! Bar is literally in the middle of everyone eating, staff are polite tho ! Food isn’t anything amazing, although my partner said his steak was good. My salad was gross, respectfully.

Finally someone who makes a moist tasty lasagne. Enjoyed the very generous portion..tasty..moist. Side salad like all side salads. Did not have the garlic bread that came with it. Nice atmosphere..friendly staff. Would go back. Parking was good too. Spotlessly clean.

Super friendly staffs with great customer service, very clean, great place to chil, relax, play game, watch sport matches and listen to the live music on Fridays & Saturdays nights. So happy to have this Tavern in our neighbourhood, Well done guys

Great place for a meal. Lunch and Dinner Menu available. Keno, TAB and pokies if you wish to have a flutter. Reasonably priced and friendly helpful staff. All amenities and wheelchair accessible. Cater for all ages.

Always attend fortnightly with my daughters, a daddy daughter date. Always have a steak and it's always cooked to my liking, med, every time. Quick with the meals and a good menu choice. Monthly drink specials. Staff are very friendly.

We attended on a Sunday lunch on Father's Day. There were 2 of us. We did not have a booking however the staff were able to accommodate us. We had an entre - salt and pepper squid. It was very tasteful. Our mains arrived and were a little disappointing. The garlic prawns - too much liquid and in dire need of salt. The chicken parmigiana - was overcooked and a bit dry. Service staff were excellent though.

Food is okay. Staff are friendly an atmosphere is great..
