Bhimtal lake is the jewel of Kumaon region. It is a huge water body. Serene, surrounded by tall green trees, chirping birds and mountains. There is very very less traffic. Historical Bhimeshwar Mahadev temple is a must visit place near the lake. There are restaurants, small tea stalls, maggi points, etc to serve food all day. Boating points are at every corner of the lake, yes it's a large lake so boating is blissful. Aqua activities for couple and kids are also available. There is a gaming zone for kids at one end of lake. In the center of lake there is an aquarium cafe (entry is chargeable, no washroom at cafe), one can if interested in different fishes. Overall Bhimtal lake is a place where entire day could be spent a midst of charming nature, mountains and cool breeze.

Ok experience. Quite far from nainital. It looks only 20-25 kms but hills take a lot of time. The lake is quite big. And boating experience was also good. But same feel will come in naini lake. And per my experience, lakes were similar covering one of the lakes is totally fine. Charges were 300 for short round and 500 for big round. And only 3 people can sit in one boat.

👉Bhimtal offers beautiful views and the Bhimtal lake sure adds to the overall beauty of the place. 👉The lake water reflects shades of green & blue. 👉There are healthy yellow beaked ducks that inhabit these waters. 👉The walking path ends at a temple premise that can be visited at time of the year. 👉Multiple options for activities like boating, lake rolling, etc are available for people visiting. I personally feel that a man should come & sit on the shores of this lovely lake to think in a quiet & unbothered state (that's if the place is not overcrowded by the overly enthusiastic tourists that visit here haha!). I tried it & think you should too. Good day!

Bhimtal Lake is the biggest lake of Uttarakhand.... Beautiful lake with small island 🙂 Water games and boating are there and some shops but not much as compare to Nanital Lake due to space restrictions. Weather is also not much comfortable (warm) as this is in low latitude. Not much to do but yes if you are searching for calm and environment friendly then definitely this place is for you... Keep enjoying....

I would say,its the second most famous lake around Nainital and attracts a lot of tourists. You can enjoy different types of boat riding and few other adventure activities. The view is quite good and there are a lot of shops around the lake to enjoy meals. There are a few hotels around the lake which give lake view.

One of the beautiful lake of Uttrakhand. This is situated around 23 KM from Nainital. Bhimtal is a small town and a good tourist place and the Lake is main attraction of this town. Boating, hot air ballon and rolling ballon activities are available in the lake. A restaurant & cafe is located in mid of the lake and you have to take boat ride to reach this restaurant. The market around lake is also good and there are many hotels located around the lake. Overall this a must visit place if you plan you trip around Nainital area.

Good lake with fresh natural water. Cool air blows in summer. It is 120 feet deep and boating charges are 300 to floating restaurant. 1200 rs for full lake. 50 rs parking charges. Overall good experience. It is at an elevation of 1375 meters from sea level. But the sun rays are little harsh during mid june. But saattal is better than Bhimtal

This lake has a stunning view, with some hotels atop the hills. I'm sure they'll be very expensive, but I think it would be worth it, given how amazing it looks from down here. Accessibility to the lake is also quite comfortable, but during peak days it is a hassle to get there due to heavy traffic.

It is the largest lake of Kumaon region, largest lake of Nainital district, which is known as the "Lake district of India".The lake provides drinking water supply and supports aquaculture with variety of fish species. There is an island at the center of the lake which has been developed as a tourist attraction and has an aquarium.

Bhimtal Lake , we visited in May 2023. Only activity there is boating. You can have 3-4 variety of boats there . Other than boating, scenic view, cool air is there. Also many good stalls are available near the lake.

Bhimtaal lake is famour for paragliding Only two registered government clubs rest all are private but some private also has a great flying point Price for each is 2000 per person or as you get nabbed by your guides.

Peaceful place, you can get almost everything at a reasonable price. Beware from petrol pump wala they can steal your petrol | beware of police, if you are an outsider, mean you do not belong to Uttrakhand they may harass. Apart from these two, it's a really beautiful place to spend the rest of your life.

Very beautiful lake with great boating experience. Great view as well. Some maintenance and beautification could make it one of the best tourist attractions in Uttarakhand.

You can boating, zorbing, kayak etc at reasonable price but this lake isn’t well maintained and water has turned to almost black. What else you can do here is take photographs, videos and view the sunset phase… No oxygen setup, no algae setup etc to keep the lake water clean. So it’s very okayish…

👍👍 Bhimtal is awesome location with good mountain and lake views. Crowd also less as compared to the Nainital. Boating and other sports activities can be done here. There is another Lake called Naukuchia tal 5km from there, that also great location to visit and relax.
