Would've shopped elsewhere if I knew what I was getting into. My fiance liked Tacori rings and Merry Richard's had competitive prices on diamonds and was a Tacori dealer. I ordered a ring and had multiple issues. Mainly (as you can see from attached photos), the diamond was mounted crooked. The ring was shipped to me and I immediately brought it into the store. The worker and their jeweler thought it was fine. Finally the owner saw it and agreed with me. We sent it back to tacori for repair of the crooked mount and misshapen prongs (not v-shaped). I specifically talked to Merry Richard's again stating that I wanted the orientation/crookedness corrected. They gave the ring back to my fiance crooked. We brought he ring back in for a second time and they had to send it for repair a second time. In all, I received a ring with a crooked diamond, incorrect prongs, and had to send the ring back multiple times which took several weeks each time. The store worker and jeweler flat out lied to me - stating they thought it was oriented correctly. In total, my fiance went well over a month without her ring as it had to be sent back multiple times, and I had to break the news to her that it would require repair soon after I gave it to her. I'd much rather have paid more elsewhere. After this review (Nearly a year later....), Merry Richards offered me a gift card. They deleted the photos in my review and I've re-uploaded them.

My wife's sister wanted a special watch in Korea that has a six month wait list. The dealer didn't even have a sample to show her. So I told her to forget about it. Instead, I came to Merry Richards which has a stellar reputation as a resourceful jeweler. Long story short, in about a week. Not only were they able to get me that specific watch, and showed me many others, they gave me a honest price which is a better deal than in Korea. Knowing my wife had to leave for Korea in the next day, they somehow managed to get a overnight delivery arriving before we needed to leave for the airport. Now, this is what you called amazing service!

Merry Richards is great. I always work with Scott when I go who is an absolute professional and goes out of his way to make sure I'm happy with my purchase. He helped design my wife's custom wedding band and even managed to source a very hard to find limited edition watch for me. Couldn't be more pleased with their service and store - 5 stars.

When shopping for a engagement ring decided to stop in Merry Richards Jewelers. That was the best decision that I ever made. Beautiful store, magnificent, helpful and experienced staff who are there to answer any and all questions but don't make you feel uncomfortable or rushed. After looking at several other jewelers I was very impressed at the stock on hand and their ability to procure whatever you are interested in. My sales representative was Margaret and she was absolutely marvelous .She was friendly and professional and I would highly recommend her.

Merry Richards Jewelers provided fantastic experience with my engagement and wedding ring shopping. I was referred to Merry Richards by a friend who is a long-time customer. I was a bit nervous about the purchase as I don't normally buy expensive jewelry but they provided amazing service and great pricing for high quality diamonds and custom rings. It was very nice to be able to see the sample rings/diamonds as we designed a custom ring; my fiancé had a vision in mind when we first arrived and changed it a bit after seeing things in person. Everything went smoothly and the custom ring looks incredible. Highly recommend!

They are completely customer-service driven, they will spend as much time with you as you need to feel comfortable about your purchase, they are terrific about repairs and battery changes and always happy to clean your rings. The staff is knowledgeable and never pushy, regardless of your budget. The show room is always filled with the most current designs, but they love to produce custom designs. Creating your personal vision(s). We have shopped here a lot, for close to 25 years. The experience is always fun and exciting and we always leave totally satisfied. And I’m very picky

I am so happy to have come across Merry Richards Jewelers in Oak Brook. I was in the market to purchase my wife's wedding ring and we were lucky to meet with Miss Laura Chin. I'm glad we did as we have found a jeweler for all the special occasions in our relationship. Laura is the most kind, grounded, understanding, and guiding jeweler we have ever encountered. She was able to procure a diamond for our needs, as well as get the designer setting that my wife had dreamed of. The result was timeless and everything my wife desired. Now that we are expecting our first child, I returned to Laura and she helped us create a unique ring as a special gift to my wife. Jewelry is one of the hardest things to purchase. Marilyn took great care of me. She impressed me very much with her knowledge of the watches I was looking at (and others that I wasn’t). As a watch fanatic myself, it’s nice to buy from someone who knows what they’re talking about. She gave me a very aggressive price right up front. The only complaint I have is that my wife now wants one to match. Things just got a little more expensive. I would definitely recommend Merry Richards, and especially Marilyn!

I cannot say enough good things about Merry Richards. 4 years ago I wanted a different setting for my ring and the suggested a Christopher design. At least once a week I get stopped by someone telling me how gorgeous my ring is. A few weeks ago I brought in an old tennis bracelet as well as my grandmother’s diamond. They transformed them into a beautiful ring which I will wear everyday as well as a fabulous necklace. They take so much pride in their work and it shows.

I cannot say enough great things about my experience with Merry Richard Jewelers! I live all the way in NYC and have been looking for an engagement watch that perfectly compliments the ring that I bought. I found THE one online but it was no longer being made and somehow, every single website that listed that they had it in stock, in fact did not. At my wits end, I decided to branch out to more locally-owned businesses across the country. After contacting about 15-20 (no, really) different businesses and coming up with no leads and no one able to order this watch, I had the pleasure and luck of calling this random business that I had never heard of. I was directed to Marilyn who said she knew someone that sourced Oris watches and that she would check and call me back. Less than an hour later, Marilyn rang my phone to let me know that she was able to get one and that it would be in my hands in less than a week. However, it came with a black band instead of the signature green that was listed. I was a bit disappointed, as I thought the green band complimented the piece beautifully but there was Marilyn, working her magic yet again. She placed an order for the watch with the black band and was also able to throw in an extra watch band (the green one) at no cost. Her customer service went above and beyond anything that I ever expected and have truly ever experienced. We just received the extra band in the mail and are now working to put it on the piece. Marilyn and Merry Richards Jewelers are nothing but the absolute best and I can't recommend them enough. Thank you so much for this wonderful and seamless experience!

I entered the business with the intent of purchasing an expensive watch. The proprietor and the assistant were rather arrogant. They treated me as if I were a pauper. Shame on them!
