A gem of a coffee shop and roaster. Very knowledgeable staff. Excellent options in terms of bright and darker selections. Pastries were tasty. Ambiance was mellow and quirky with a science edge. I would definitely come back. Glad they had several bags of whole beans to pick up as well.

Some of the best coffee I have ever tasted. It was brewed perfectly (they appear to be very into the chemistry of coffee, there were compicated looking temperature curves on whiteboards in the back) and many subtle flavors were present. Apparently they offer classes for baristas and sell a range of equipment. This is definitely the place to go for coffee in the city. I went home with a couple of packets of coffee.

These folks are literally coffee champions, among the best in Italy, having just won three first place titles, including best Barista, at the Sigep tasse show in Rimini. But above all, if you love coffee, this is a place worth seeking out for a great cup of coffee, their selection of roasts if you're looking for beans, and always to share a bit of their enthusiasm.

(Translated by Google) Receipt? Never seen. Cleaning? Poor. Seats? Nobody. It would look like a flea market from the order. The owner if you ask for the sugar starts with his self-praising scene about how many prizes he has won (always second place haha, on how much he knows about coffee etc ... and yet, given his psycho-physical state, the use of "sugar" for "It is obvious. Badly in front there is a nice bar. We will not be without coffee (Original) Scontrini? Mai visti. Pulizia? Scarsa. Posti a sedere? Nessuno. Little speciality roaster and coffee lab on near the city centre of lower Bergamo. This is a lab and not a coffee bar. So be prepared to find no sugar or water prolonged espresso (aka Americano) here. They take things serious here. 😉 Come here for your quick caffeine fix and to indulge in supreme coffee roasts and third wave brewing styles. Accompany your coffee with a yum piece of cake or stick up on your beans. Friendly and competent service, top barista and latte art skills. Small location, with limited seating.

Unbelievable! They just don't have sugar. And they do not bother telling in advance. I don't care what crazy anti sugar thing is going on in Italy, but I don't like to be forced to be part of it! I love my coffee, I only drink high quality capuccino (that's why I actually searched and found this place) and I always have it with the exact right amount of (preferably brown fine powdered) sugar, because for me the bitter sweet combination is what makes this beverage so addicting. So, either tell (with words, not hidden on some black board) in advance or get some high quality sugar. Everything else is just the rude and reflects a rather small understanding of coffee culture! At least I would have expected not to have to pay for the beverage I then of course did not drink

The best coffee I have had! Tried it at new city and the smaller shop at Citta Alta! Coffee server saw right through me for my sweeter choice and opted to use the Ethiopian beans which had notes of milk chocolate instead of dark! So so beautiful! Thank you for the amazing coffee experience.

So it is nice place and I can't say nothing bad for the coffee but barista was openly grumpy! I asked for double ristreto and his reaction was arrogant and teasing because they had a special recipe and it was only for double espresso. OK I understand that he is maybe some coffee god and he knows everything about preparing it but please! Women on the desk was pretty kind and nice!

This is a hidden gem of Bergamo when it comes to top quality coffee. It's definitely an expensive place at 5 euros for a flat white BUT it is one of the best coffees I've had in Europe. (Translated by Google) Pros: Rare varieties of coffee. Compliance with all the nuances of cooking. Barists are students of one of the best barists in Italy. (Actually this cafe belongs to this virtuoso). Cons: Nice but not comfortable. Wash your hands will not work - not provided, in fact, like going to the toilet. Nowhere to sit down (as if for those in a hurry to drink a rare coffee for show, forget and run away). Not suitable for those who love coffee with sugar (this is their principle position - no sugar. It is not even available). In general, the place is worth it in order to try something rare and real from the best. The taste of coffee from Nicaragua cannot be described, it can be tasted and probably only professional coffee lovers will appreciate it. But they don’t argue about tastes. If I go there I’ll take sugar with me, because the right combination of bitter and sweet is also possible and has the right to exist, no matter what orthodox coffee lovers say. It is probably right to try such coffee without sugar, for self-development, but perhaps not to drink. Children should be more democratic in this regard. After all, just express your position and you save the face and coffee lovers who want to come back to you.
