Wow! Totally unexpected hidden gem. The family restaurant was a wonderful surprise. Very professional, was not rushed, and the food was very, very good. I would bring friends here to impress them, without breaking the bank. Great food, in a plaza! The garlic bread came to the table steaming hot and was given an extra loaf after I finished the first off. My wife enjoyed the Manicotti, and I devoured the personal size Mexican pizza..(highly recommended). Did not have room for any of their awesome tiramisú.

When you hear Scardino’s Pizza is delicious, remember that they offer, serve, and delight diners with so much more. Their seafood pasta is one of the best I’ve ever had – plus they exchanged the linguine for my favorite angel hair (aka capellini). And my friend cleaned his plate, as you can see with the photo of his empty plate – he he he. The service could not have been better with Al – and I strongly suggest you ask for him. I believe he mainly works Thursday through Sunday, and he has a rich history in the Italian restaurant Business. He checked on our table several times – not where he was bugging us, but perfectly, as he cared about everything – our comfort sitting outside, our enjoying the wine, our having plenty of garlic bread – everything. And everything was wonderful! I can’t wait to return and will call ahead, in order to be blessed with Al’s incredible service again! Also, the portions are huge and I took 2/3 of mine home. With that, the prices are so low and better than competitive. If I could give them 11 stars, I would.

Catching up with my cousin who is six months pregnant, we decided to hit up a new spot and went to Scardino's Italian Restaurant in Torrance. When it comes to Italian food, I'm use to places like Buca or Olive Garden (I know, I know), so Scardino's was a pleasant surprise. It's almost like having a home cooked Italian meal, but you have to pay for it. I opted for an Italian beer and lobster ravioli. OMG, it's like taking a bite out of heaven. While your plate may look like you barely have anything on it, it's very filling.

Love this place. It's very cozy and service is awesome. The staff is very knowledgeable and passionate. The food is delicious rich ingredients. My go to is the carbonara and the pizza special.

I would NOT come back for the pizza. $20 including tax is way overpriced and the taste was not good. I've had better frozen pizza. I love cold pizza and by far ths is the worst when eaten cold. The crust and cheese dries up beyond normal limits and becomes very brittle. Never experienced this before. Disappointing based on the reviews.

The calamari is amazing. It's not fried, but in a wonderful tomato sauce that makes you want to lick the bowl! The bread is also wonderful, though the degree of toasting varied, some were a little charred, and others were perfect. I had the chicken marsala. Three chicken breasts smothered with a delightful sauce with mushrooms...it was very flavorful. The roasted rosemary potatoes left a bit to be desired in the way of seasoning. The veggies were cooked well and were very complementary to the dish. Here's the rub... as I was cutting into the last chicken breast, I saw that it was raw, and I don't mean a little. It was completely pink inside, with probably no more than a minute cooking on either side. I was appalled! Of course, the waitress saw it and was very apologetic and offered to get something else, which I declined. She notified the manager, who did NOT come to the table but sent a complementary dessert and comped the dish. I was a bit surprised when the manager didn't come to the table. Nice atmosphere, flavorful dishes, but WATCH OUT FOR RAW CHICKEN!!

A bit pricey, but all the dishes were super tasty. My favorite is the mushroom and spinach risotto (i added chicken to it) which has rich cream flavor.

This is one of the best places I've had pizzas at. Their Sicilian pizza was really good. We also had the baked spinach with mushrooms and cheese. Would definitely recommend!

At here again on this trip, as one of my friends suggested it. I had the chicken marsala. It came with 3 nice size pieces of chicken, mushrooms with the perfect amount of sauce. It was a little on the sweeter side, but very delicious. Mixed vegetables and potatoes were served as size, which was a nice accompaniment to the main dish. Make reservations as this place is very popular!!

Scardino’s is a very popular local Italian restaurant serving up classic dishes in a busy but well run environment. The staff is great and cares about your service while the food was just fine. I would recommend if you’re looking for some solid Italian in the Torrance/Redondo area.

The restaurant is very family oriented. Although it's a small place, it's very warm and comfortable. The food is delicious 😋! I had the mushroom and spinach risotto with chicken. It was tasty with enough to take home. The dish was especially good the second day. For dessert, they had a good selection. I opted for the chocolate cake...yum. It was rich, moist, and chocolaty. I would recommend to all my friends.

My husband and I went there a few weeks ago and loved it so much that we took our Aunt there the following evening. Atmosphere is wonderful, very Italian. Food was so delicious and the service was terrific. We went at 5:30 each evening and was able to get right in to their back dining room. Within 15 min the place was packed. Guess we chose a good time. I would highly recommend this place. Even the desserts were delicious. Next time we are back in California we will definitely eat at this place again. Thank you for your great hospitality.

There is so much good food here. A wide range of dishes with many seafood options. In addition to the standards, they offer gnocchi, ravioli, risotto, and some half and half dishes that allow you to sample more than one dish! I personally love the simpler, but oh so fresh, garlic bread; not soaked or overly seasoned to allow the dish flavors to come through. Variety of desserts also offered. A great dining experience!

I usually have dinner at this wonderful Italian restaurant. The Risotto Fileto di Manzo was a highlight, featuring a perfect fillet mignon paired with creamy risotto. The Linguine Pescatore, a seafood pasta, was equally impressive, showcasing a delightful blend of flavors. The servers were attentive, enhancing the overall dining experience, and the atmosphere added a touch of warmth to the evening. Highly recommended for those seeking a taste of authentic Italian cuisine in a delightful setting.

First time trying this quaint Torrance Italian Restaurant. The hostess was able to seat us fairly quickly without a reservation at 7:30 p.m. on a Thursday night. The menu for wine 🍷 had many options, but I was extremely happy with my choice of the Complicated California Pinot Noir!! If the wine menu wasn't enough, then came the garlic bread. The freshest, flavorful bread we couldn't stop eating. The food menu threw us for a loop. We normally pick the same things when we eat Italian but this time we studied the menu a good 20 minutes. We decided on the Insalata Caprese for our appetizer. The flavors popped with freshness. Next came our main dishes. I chose the Spinish Ravioli, and my boyfriend chose Fettuccine with sausages. We couldn't stop saying how delicious the meal was, as we took each bite! Now for our waiter, Al. He was attentive with just enough time to enjoy each course, and he really cared that we were satisfied. He spoke to us like we were family, so I thought he was the owner. I found out he was the manager who had been at the restaurant for a very long time. The bill was very reasonable for such a delicious bragable meal. Al, brought us more garlic bread for our leftovers. The dessert we decided to share, Terramasu, was unbelievable, but after two bites each, we decided to take it home too! We left with a very full and extremely satisfied feeling. We found our new favorite local restaurant!

Had very high hopes. It’s very basic American Italian as in not authentically Italian but that’s a sweet spot for many. I tried this place twice in the span of three days to be certain. On the first endevour we got basic pasta with meatballs and a seafood pasta. Both were pretty good. Second time was the eggplant parm which is hard to get too wrong and it was very tasty with the side of angel hair pasta and meat sauce. The clam pasta was unfortunately made with chopped clams and not from the shell. It tasted watered down and wasn’t the best. The penne arrabbiati was unfortunate. This dish is to be made with fresh peppers and tomatoes. Instead it was a marinara sauce with hot chilli flakes, they should review this dish in my opinion. I want this place to be greater than it is but isn’t all bad and about right for the price in the South Bay.

Chicken risotto, their specialty pizza, and a combination plate of shrimp ravioli and shrimp and chicken Alfredo made up our dinner. I have no regrets about any of that man's decisions. I'll see you all soon. I enjoyed it and should have had more wine that night.

The gnocchi with pesto was delicious! The interior was beautiful and the atmosphere was perfect for enjoying dinner with friends and family. Tiramisu was a little too sweet for me. But other than that I love everything.

Kids meal comes with generous pasta portions and drink. No longer includes ice cream (costs $2). Service is friendly and attentive. Love it here!

Cozy, small Italian restaurant with a flavorful chicken piccatta. The lemon sauce complimented the capers above the entree. The added side salad was a good size. House garlic bread was fair. The table mats, posters and music added to the comfortable atmosphere table.

This spot is my favorite for carbonara. It's really creamy and heavy for one person, so if you're ordering it, share it. Trust me! I did get the rigatoni last time and it was filling and delicious. Pasta was cooked perfectly and the broccoli was soft and tender. There was plenty of chicken and cream sauce.

Pretty solid place lovely staff here. Wife and I had their signature sweet wine which wasn't too bad but paid beautifully with our dinners. Our dinner consisted of chicken risotto, their signature pizza, and combination plate of Shrimp ravioli and shrimp and chicken Alfredo. Did not regret any of that mights choices. See you guys soon. I should've had more wine that night loved it.
