If I could give them a negative 10 I would. As a AA woman I try to use culturally connected care, but this is just unacceptable. DO NOT USE THIS PRACTICE! I booked an appointment with Nurse Florence for my annual check up back in March. She was very much out of touch with the questions I had and my needs. I had to press her to get labs done. When the labs where finally done and came back, they PROVED what I had been complaining about for years. She also gave me a Rx for a depression med. She said she refilled it for 5 months, however I have been trying to get it refilled for 60 days. I walked in today (after calling 3 times) to get a written Rx that I could take to my pharmacy. I waited patiently for an hour, she knew I was there - AND DID NOTHING!!!! Also, I was sent a bill for $51 and when I went to pay it at the window I actually only owed $34!!! Again do not use this practice - they should be ashamed for how they are treating the most vulnerable :-(

Just make an appointment is an ordeal. There is no way you can leave a message for your doctor's nurse. I believe the phone system they have set up needs to be revamped and be better. Declare ical and receptionists on the phone leave a lot to be desired. If you have a chance to go somewhere else for doctor. Do so, doctor Leatherman is fantastic the nurses are great. It's the rest of the staff That needs a lot of improvement improvement

If I could give negative a thousand I would. I’ve never been to this particular location, go to the Whitehall location. But after some recent ER visits I’m asked to do follow up visits and my pcp is never available at Whitehall so I do phone visits with doctors or nurses from this location, Capital Park. Brandy Lomo lied on me and said that I was looking for opiates and argumentative when she called over a hour and half late for my appointment. I still answered her questions and was in the dairy aisle at Kroger (with a companion) so I have proof that I wasn’t argumentative. I asked for that to be taken from my record and it’s like jumping through hoops and she later added even more to my records after I asked for her not to be a part of my care at all. Then after a ER visit I was given a Dr Robinson from Capital Park for phone visits. She was indeed argumentative and mentioned opiates just as Lomo did but I never asked for such. Not with Lomo or Robinson. Today I was scheduled for a phone visit with a Carrie Peoples a nurse who entered into my records that she called me and once I heard that the call was from Hear of Ohio, hung up. Total, complete LIES. I have phone records showing that I never received a call from Heart of Ohio nor any calls during that time frame. If you call to give a complaint they’ll give you a non working number (they did this twice in one day) or they’ll send you to a voicemail and wait you will for a return call. You’ll be sent a paper form to fill out and Maybe the records will be revised at their discretion. Mind you that I’ve NEVER MET ANY OF THESE PEOPLE BEFORE and with Carrie Peoples NEVER EVEN HEARD HER VOICE Because she never called me for the phone visit. What pleasure and joy these people get from tormenting patients. These are not the kind of people in charge of your medical care, your health and peace of mind is at risk. They’ve caused seizures because of the emotional trauma that they inflict and they enjoy it. Stay Away if you value yours and your loved ones lives.

I have been at this practice for over the last two years. It has been the worst experience of my life coming from being a nurse for 31 years and having insurance. I started going here when I lost my insurance due to mental health issues having to leave my job. I’ve had to call question everything literally. I had to diagnose myself in reference to pancreatic cancer. I had been Complaining of pain around my upper abdomen area for over 6 to 8 months they kept telling me that it was most likely due to my depression and anxiety. After another visit there I just took myself to the emergency room found out. I have pancreatic cancer and a spot on my kidney. Still having issues at the clinic visit the doctor last Thursday here it is Friday the next week. I still do not have refills and I have called every day this week. The doctor finally put it in and he put in my purple neuropathy medicine at the wrong dose. He’s the one that changed it, so what’s the girl to do and what would people do if they did not have any kind of medical background and no advocate, please help them. !!!!

I really wanted to give this place a 5 star at the beginning of my experience. I called and they were able to get me under 72 hrs. Which was very convenient. Went to my appointment and I was in and out. Now let's get to the irritating part. It's been over a week to get my prescription taken care of. If it was a life or death situation. It would be all bad. It has been a nightmare trying to get my prescription filled that my insurance is suppose to take care of. Ive called them multiple times only for them to tell me the doctor is with other patients... like I'm not a first priority nowthat I'mnot there. I've been to multiple places, wasting my time and gas trying to my medication. Still to this day don't have it. Yall have to get better at patients health

Please believe the other negative reviews about this place and stay far away! My experience with Dr Washington and HOFHC was so upsetting I can only hope at least one person sees this and heeds my warning. 1 hour plus long wait times for what ends up being a 2 minute appointment. Impossible to get the doctor to call you back because they want you to schedule another appointment and come in for ‘office visit’ so they can just bill your insurance again. Billing department sure works fine though. This place preys on poor people and immigrants who don’t know better. Last time I was in, Dr. Washington and his staff lied to me several times about sending RX to pharmacy. I waited over an hour, he saw me for 45 seconds and said he sent a script. Where is it!? I got sicker because I couldnt even get ahold of anyone to get it filled in time. I even physically went back in and left several messages to try to get ahold of him but I havent heard back in MONTHS. I had to go find a new doc and they had me fixed up in a couple days. Dr Washington never actually provided me any care but the bill still showed up... Do not trust this guy he is a bad doctor!

Unfortunately, the office staff here struggles with organization and customer service. They have scheduled me incorrectly on two different occasions. On one occasion I wasn’t supposed to be on schedule but unfortunately I was scheduled, only to find out am not supposed to be seen that day, so why am I on the schedule for, as if I have nothing better to do with my life other than being at their practice. Secondly I was scheduled for 12:45pm and I got there12:30 cuz I hate to be late, I’ve been sitting for hours to be seen but unfortunately that didn’t happen, when I got tired of waiting I went and ask if am still on schedule. Their response was yes but apparently you’re scheduled for 1:15pm, hello even if I was scheduled for 1:15pm it’s 1:45pm why am I still here all the people I came before them have been seen. At that moment I know it’s time for me to go cuz I have to pick my son from school. I asked to be rescheduled, and I forgot to mentioned that am pregnant. They didn’t care about my health and my child, they agreed and scheduled me 2 months from now. I’m literally done with this practice. You should change your ways because it’s not professional at all.

I really wish that I didn’t have to leave a star on this review. If you care about yourself then just find somewhere else to go. Dr. Washington provided the worsts care I’ve seen in my personal and professional career. But let’s start with setting my appointment… I thought that I was setting an appointment for east Columbus and later in found out that I had to drive nearly 30 minutes away because the Chantry location is closed. Whoever set the appointment spelled my name as Jermei, like Jeremy isn’t a regular everyday name. The receptionist was sweet but that’s about it. The MA who got me checked in told me that I was 3 inches taller than what I am so I should’ve known that the quality of care would be poor. I finally met Dr. Washington and he was rude. He walked in and asked “why are you here” as if he were annoyed and I was bothering him. Instead of assessing, he had some small rebuttal for each one of my concerns. He even looked me dead in my face and told me “I don’t know you and I don’t know anything about you, why don’t you go back to where you came from”. I’m the end I asked him for something as simple as a vitamin study. He told me know because most insurance doesn’t cover that and he would need and indication to order it. My thought is that he is used to serving the under insured and didn’t realize that I actually have a great insurance plan. Either way, he denied it. I still asked for labs to be drawn and he approved that and sent me down to the lab. The woman taking labs was rude, she acted as if she was bothered with her work and collected my blood without actually looking at an order, checking my identity or even seeing what kind of labs where being drawn. And she did it without care!!! It actually hurt. Long story short I was able to get in with another physician a few days later who looked into all of my needs and actually gave me the care that I needed. Again, if you give a damn about yourself then just don’t waste your time with Dr. Washington.

I'll start by saying that, so far, my experience with Dr. Elkhairi has been positive and lovely. This isn't a review on the actual medical care I've recieved at this time. However, getting this office on the phone is next to impossible. Hold times often count down from 18+ callers, and simply moving an appointment can take literal hours. I've had holds go over active phone hours when I began the call far earlier in the day, only for the emergency line tell me they couldn't help me, and to call the main office back the next day (wash, rinse, repeat.) Just now, I waited in line through 12 callers, and was then sent to voicemail (assuming it rolled over to lunch hours while I was waiting) Otherwise, there isn't a way to leave a message or schedule a callback. . On top of that, the text message appointment confirmation system doesn't seem to work. I submitted via that system that I needed to cancel, and still got repeated notifications of my appointment time and date. I'm now having to ghost an appointment I can't make after trying to give notice and reschedule it during three business days because they apparently don't have enough staff to keep up with the phones. Really hope I don't get billled for no-show to appointments I've spent 4+ hours on hold trying to move/now cancel because this system is broken and impossible to navigate. Who has that kind of time!? I'm glad Dr. Elkhairi responds quickly via the portal now that I'm established with her, but know that getting to that point took me a while. Reading other reviews, it looks like they have been having this issue for a long time, and the establishment likes to come into the comments to make excuses/promise better phone handling... Be wary. You deserve responsiveness with your healthcare.
