Ok, first of all I’m trying to figure out why there are so many bad reviews. Because in MY opinion this food is delicious. As you can see from the photo there is a great portion size, so you DO get plenty. (If you want more buy more). The smothered pork chops are SO tender and delicious. I inhaled them. The greens and mac and cheese were also wonderful. They greens were not under or over cooked and seasoned just right. The corn bread was fresh and just the right amount, and my banana pudding was to die for. The price was extremely reasonable for a small business. Thanks so much guys! Will definitely buy again.

This one of the best Uber eats deliveries I’ve ever had .I ordered 2 meals to try a variety.The portions were not large but adequate.I was full and satisfied but I usually eat portion controlled meals.The food was fresh tasty and convenient.Lightly seasoned no overly powerful flavors.I definitely recommend this place the food was flavorful and the prices were good .There was lots of care put into this meal .

Everything was great the staff nice and friendly. Nice and clean , came after church. The meatloaf Mac and cheese, yams awesome.... whiting, greens wonderful. Will be back next Sunday

At tge point of entry the one young lady seemed frustrated and just giving push back about everything. It is 120pm they opened at 12pm. This is my first time and 2 people in line she said they are out of fish before I could order. Then we had to sit at a table by the back door that is propped open and it is freezing..The cashier said we could not sit near the front, said we had to sit near tge back and the door wasn't gonna be shut because the floors sweat..Is the floors Important or the eat-in customer's...Just need to be a little more professional and stop eating as you are preparing people's food...Let your Glory shine!!!!

Worst food I ever received from a restaurant! The fish smelled like feces. After taking one bite I spit the fish out and threw it away after taking this picture. Made attempts to call and report the bad food they did not answer the phone (as if they knew the food was messed up!) Finally reach them and complained about food and they blew us of by never calling us back. so wasted 24.00 and the time it took to get the food. Hate to give a bad review to any small business but they had a chance to make it right and still dropped the ball! Totally disgusted! Update: This response from the owner is 10 times worst than being ignored. My original review was 100% the truth of what my husband and I experienced with the food. After placing the order a gentleman called back to advise you all were sold out of perch at lunch time. He was very polite so we ended up getting two catfish combos. My disgust with the food was so bad because I never had to just throw away an entire order of food due to the smell, like it was soaked in chitlin water. The texture of the fish seemed undercooked and it was pinkish but hard to capture in picture. It wasn’t easy to detect as the outside looked perfect so i thought maybe i should advise them they had some bad fish in the batch???The day it happened we called the main number and the number I received a call back on several times and no one answered when the restaurant should have been open for several more hours. I never spoke to this owner so I have no idea why this assumption would’ve been made that you know who I am. I never had an issue with wanting to purchase additional sides so you must be thinking of a different dissatisfied customer. I hope in the future you learn to take all complaints seriously as you definitely lost a customer and I will always remember the poor response along with the poor food. Additionally this is not the only forum to give reviews but it was the one I choose today. 614kitchen, Lashea’s, Lees seafood boil, hibachi express, Scotty’s cafe, etc are all local businesses that I have patronized through the years and have given honest positive reviews to.

Their food is good, but they charge too much, and I always get bad service, and the past two times I went there they messed up my order. And there is no reason why they should be charging $26.99 for a chitterling meal and they do not even give you that many chitterlings.

The food was delicious, definitely one of the highlights of visiting Colombus. This tasted home cooked and was the definition of comfort food. I recommend the smothered porkchops and the mac n cheese.

1st let’s start here: How are you a soul food restaurant and don’t know how to prepare a smothered pork chop. A smothered pork chop is supposed to be deep fried, smothered in HOMEMADE gravy and onions! Here’s what I got; an OLD, dry baked pork chop with canned gravy. My rice has no flavor and the greens was salty! I spent $14 on this mess! Id done better to doordash Crackel Barrel for my lunch!! This makes me mad…especially because I am super hungry! I will never order from this place again

If I could I would give this place a zero. The owner (an older man was very nasty) right along with the young lady taking the orders. The food was overcooked and the sides dry and nasty. The yams was too sweet and taste like the whole bottle of nutmeg was added in it. The macaroni was hard and tasted like dish water. The greens couldn’t eat them. The chicken was cooked old oil and the fish is cooked to order but came out room temperature.

This food is just so good, everything tasted awesome. The cornbread and collard greens are so serious, chicken is to die for. The lemon cake and banana pudding is delicious.Great place to eat, carry out or get delivered. Thanks for such great food!

They have some pretty amazing fried pork chops. Wasn't a big fan of the meatloaf or the cabbage but the yams are top notch! Looking forward to trying more of their fish items. The staff there is really friendly and fun to talk to! They have some really awesome banana pudding cake that I am beginning to need regularly! Great local soul food option!

Where do I begin? The food here was so good!!! I’m still thinking about it days later from going on Saturday. Everything tasted delicious but I have to say my favorites were the sweet potatoes, greens, and dessert. The banana pudding cake….there are absolutely no words ❤️. The staff was also very friendly! I will definitely be returning (:

I’m only writing this review because I have tried to call 3 times since 1:30 pm and I keep getting the voice mail. I ordered a 3 piece perch dinner and a 5 piece perch dinner after church at about 1 pm. When I got home to eat, all of the perch was overcooked. The sides were delicious, but I am extremely disappointed with the perch. If someone could respond to this review and let me know if anything can be done to make good on my loss. Got a chicken wing meal & it was average at best. The mac & cheese was pretty bland and the cornbread was dry. The sweet potatoes were the best part. They are actually really good. The sweet potato pie is not good at all.

riding thru we stopped today very glad we did from the call to r order the lady was very Pleasent. very pleased with r pick of home cooked soul food the smothered pork chops was very tasty the whole meal was flavorful and delicious. 2 hours away but we will be back. thanks again

Food here was delicious. Having actual dinnerware for dining in would be my only recommendation. It was a bit difficult eating my meal there with plasticware and a Styrofoam container. They're clearly focused on take out. Again, loved the food.

Some friends and I came in from out of town. We wanted to check out some local soul food restaurants. Needless to say we were very pleased with this restaurant. From the service to the food I have no complaints. I strongly recommend if your passing thru or your a local. If I could rate her higher I would. Had the smothered pork chops, collard greens, & sweet potato. My husband had baked sriracha chicken, cabbage & sweet potatoes. Ordered banana pudding. Was told it was "made from scratch." NOT! I'm very disappointed. The customer service with the initial worker was very nonchalant. I felt I was bothering her with my questions regarding the food.

I read the reviews , they were helpful and agree with them wholeheartedly: This place is a gem and will be new place on my list for real food!!! Friends and I enjoyed!!! The catfish and all the sides were delicious- very flavorful!!! The catfish portions were very generous!!! I will spread the word!!!

This was the first time I have been here and everything was excellent. I have read amazing reviews about this place so I decided I would try it to kill some time while my husband was at a doctor's appointment. The two ladies that were behind the counter were very helpful on selections. I ended up getting the smothered pork chops. AMAZING!! They were falling off the bone. I was actually going to get it to go but decided to eat in and I was actually able to eat the pork chops with plastic ware because they were so tender. If I lived closer I would probably be there every day. I would recommend this place to anyone. This is saying a lot from me I don't ever post reviews normally for restaurants. Also wanted to add that my husband after seeing he wasn't hungry ended up eating the rest of my dinner.

The smothered pork chop was amazingly delicious. The bad reviews don't match my experience at all. The people at the counter were very helpful in explaining how to order. The place was clean and tidy. I even liked the art hanging on the walls.

This was my Wife & I first time at this Blessed building. We ordered smothered pork chops 👌🏾!! Greens, Mac & Cheese, Whitening, Candy Yams 👌🏾!! & for dessert we had Banana pudding cake was amazing!!! We definitely recommend anyone to eat here at La Glory’s !!! The staff greeted & welcomed us in such a respectful and professional matter!!

My husband and I enjoy La Glory’s. Their greens and yams are my favorite! This afternoon their printer ran out of paper so they didn’t get our order before we arrived. No big deal, we understood. However, they were so generous in accommodating us. And as always, the food was delicious! Thank you for the impeccable service today!

The staff was great even though it was closing time they still took the time to cook my food to order. I was so impressed with the customer service that if there was something wrong I would have let it pass. We had perch, liver and onions, cabbage, greens and rice. Thank you to the 3 ladies who served my wife & myself this evening, keep doing what you are doing, it doesn't go unnoticed! We will return ....
