Feel bad for my daughter today. She booked a spa day for mothers day today. We got up early to enjoy a 'spa' day today for Mother's Day at this place. Its not cheap, we were asked to pay extra for a towel and robe at the desk and told steam room light not working. The 'spa' is in the basement a rabbit warren of corridors with doors going off everywhere. Went in the sauna which was ok, empty bucket and ladle for pouring water on the stones. No probs, we went into the hall to the drinking fountain to fill the bucket o find drinking fountain not working... ok, we thought, lets try the steam room - not only was the light not working, the entire steam room not working either. Thought we would try the spa pool. Jeez, was like sitting in luke warm dirty bath water. No chlorine smell so I don't think it had any and as for the jets... a dog walking by you and passing wind would have had a stronger effect. Not happy and disturbed the pool had no chlorine (with covid about) we decided to leave. We had been their approx 35 minutes at this point... We went to the changing room to get a shower - only cold water! As it happens the woman from the desk walked in. I complained and she said - the steam room would be fixed at 'some point' today. I said we were not happy and she said she was sorry and would talk to us when changed at the desk. Went to the desk - no one at the desk... I feel like my daughter was totally ripped off. Every other place from here to Ashford is far better. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

The best thing about the spa was Tanya the therapist who is incredible. Her deep tissue massage is brilliant! However, 1/3 of the facilities were out of order and we were not informed. Secondly, we were called last minute on the day to change our massage times after ignoring emails requesting regarding booking times. I’d recommend coming for the massage (if you request Tanya) only.

Chlorine levels in jacuzzi sting eyes and burn the throat, unbearable No staff after 5pm so when the sauna times out you have to go up to the hotel reception in your spa wear Full body massage good but don’t bother with the raindrop, it sounds nice but the oil is cold and I had to ask the masseuse to stop dripping it on me as it felt horrible, there was no warm compress and the masseuse had no idea what I was talking about when I mentioned it. Just stick with a normal ‘drift away’ and you won’t be disappointed Head massage - lovely to have my hair played with for 30mins but an utterly half arsed head massage. I feel like it was an option because that’s what you put on treatment lists, rather than because anyone knows how to do it properly Very quiet (sun eve to wed) Great gym, lots of choice of equipment Reception staff lovely

Good points- Relation room was lovely and calming Showers were amazing Massage was great Blonde lady was lovely and helpful Sarah was so attentive and friendly Bad points- The jacuzzi was broken The steam room smelt and had a loud banging coming from pipes We were left wondering corridors not knowing what we were meant to do next as we were left to our own devices, bags includes. The worst? The small lady at the welcome desk down stairs was observed being incredably rude to both guests and staff. Customer service/ customer relations training is required immediately, if not a staff shake up as this woman alone gave such a low star review and will in time cost the business greatly I'm sure. She was awful!

Me and my partner came here for a half spa day. Massages were absolutely wonderful and we both felt very relaxed afterwards. The jacuzzi and sauna were also lovely, unfortunately the steam room wasn't open which was a bit of a shame. There also appeared to be a lack of staff as there were a lot of dirty towels laying around the spa area, also the staff available seemed a bit unapproachable and offhand when answering questions regarding where certain things were etc. But overall it was a positive experience and both me and my partner left feeling happy and revitalized.

A rare jewel in the coastlines of beautiful Dover Kent where it may not always be sunny but regardless the experience well covers that. Professional exceptional service from real professionals, you know that can be hard to find especially in these modern times that’s why thankfully they cater with the beautiful old with the new. The room was more than comfortable, sea-view balcony. Worth it. Aren’t you? :) we all deserve to be pampered in trying times of life so the spa was also a beautiful welcome with a huge array of amenities all with wheelchair accessibility so that you can feel better too :) coast of Kent it’s a Royal gem for a reason! Thank you to all the wonderful team for making my stay a wonderful calm and rejuvenating one. Yes there’s a bar football too. In fact their old school hospitality is never truly out of fashion. :) beautiful sights lots to see. I recommend The Castle, if you’re into that. The choice is always ours haha.

Had an amazing raindrop massage today, the lady that did it was friendly and professional. The massage itself was truly amazing and relaxing, just the right amount of pressure, will definitely return again soon, thank you so much. Only reason I gave 4 stars is that we wasn't offered robes to change into , although this maybe because the jacuzzi was out of action. We was made aware of this prior to our arrival and given complemetary vouchers to use the facilities another day which was a lovely gesture

5 stars for Bonnie the massage therapist, she is great at her job and I want to go back. The spa could use some work, steam room was noisy and there was not enough steam. There was dirty brown water sitting underneath were you rest the cup to fill with drinking water. My wife’s massage therapist was not good and cut the massage short. My rating would be lower but Bonnie is has brought it up.

My daughter purchased this experience, which comes with a glass of Prosecco each. We paid extra for massages. First there was a mix up at desk as to what we were supposed to be having, during my massage the fire alarm went off four times with no explanation given. My daughter was trying to find out if there was a fire, and was told everything is fine. I asked where our prosecco was, and never received it. Someone was always looking for it. When I complained at the desk, I was asked, do you want your presco now as I was leaving. As to the fire alarm going off 4 times, no explanation. Wasn't even sure they were going to refund my deposit for the locker, as reception staff seemed unsure of procedure. No I will not be returning, staff need more training.
