Nice Spoons with an off-street outdoor space, which is quite rare for a London Wetherspoon. It's a small outdoor courtyard but we went on a sunny Saturday afternoon & there were multiple available tables, so it doesn't seem to get that busy. It also has a massive downstairs cellar bar, which they seem to open later in the day ready for the evening. So a really massive pub which you wouldn't necessarily get from the outside or on first entry. Reasonably priced food & drinks of course as you'd expect. Decent service too sonworth a visit for a some cheap drinks.

Response to the news articles stating this pub will be closing in the future... How many more pubs are Spoons intending to get rid of in London and elsewhere? Coverage is already patchy at best in some areas - with large parts of London now devoid of Wetherspoons entirely due to past closures. Angel will be entirely without one when The Angel also goes - utter madness. This is yet another stupid decision by the hierarchy. The same tiresome statement of 'commercial reasons' does not wash time after time. Start being a bit more honest with your customers. You have a unique place in the market that does work with the right leadership, for which I don't think Spoons currently has in some venues. New ideas should be sought before endlessly closing pubs and costing staff their jobs and depriving your loyal customers of yet another reasonably priced drinking establishment.

I was very impressed with this pub and restaurant. I was served very quickly and politely. No drama or rolling the eyes when I asked to try an ale. I enjoyed a Big Chief for £4.55 and was happy to donate my change our of a fiver. Definitely one to pop into for value for money food and drinks combined with friendly service. 5 stars.

Somewhere at some time They committed themselves to me And so, I was! Small, but I WAS! Tiny, in shape Lusting to live I hung in my pulsing cave. Soon they knew of me My mother —my father. I had no say in my being I lived on trust And love Tho' I couldn't think Each part of me was saying A silent 'Wait for me I will bring you love!' I was taken Blind, naked, defenseless By the hand of one Whose good name Was graven on a brass plate in Wimpole Street, and dropped on the sterile floor of a foot operated plastic waste bucket. There was no Queens Counsel To take my brief. The cot I might have warmed Stood in Harrod's shop window. When my passing was told My father smiled. No grief filled my empty space. My death was celebrated With tickets to see Danny la Rue Who was pretending to be a woman Like my mother was.

Just when I thought we found our go to pub, this gem pops up. It's right off a bus stop which is convenient. It's huge! Its history is amazing. It sits on the site of the farmer who hid King Charles II. You should really look into it. They have a bar at ground level and a cellar bar as well, which is huge in itself. There is plenty of seating. They have a beer garden in the back as well as tables outside the front of the pub. Staff is super friendly and attentive and on top of things. The food is really good. We had curry and the portions are quite satisfying. You have the option to get a larger portion, but it is not needed. Restrooms are downstairs. They are quite large and very clean. There is a handicapped restroom on the ground floor. Great pub! You can get lost in time just sitting, drinking and eating.

I had a delightful dining experience at the restaurant. The Eggs Benedict were perfectly cooked, the chips were crispy and flavorful, and the drinks complemented the meal beautifully. The staff was friendly, contributing to the overall pleasant atmosphere. I highly recommend this spot for a satisfying brunch or meal.

My daughter who is nine and myself were very early for the British museum so we came in here to see if myself and daughter could have breakfast. I was greeted my a staff member called priscilla and she was so welcoming and friendly, she also opened the disabled door so my daughter could use that loo and took her to it whilst in my vision. (Doorshut) whilst I was still eating. All staff are lovely and friendly and the breakfast was lovely. No photos as was eaten too quickly! But cannot recommend this place enough. It started off our day on a good note :)

Had a Chicken Tikka Masala for lunch which was decent. The gravy was smooth and flavourful, but the chicken pieces were cut small such that it didn't have a nice bite to it. The rice was fluffy and the crackers were superb. The main letdown was the plain naan which was tough, dry, and chewy. Overall, I had a typical wetherspoons experience - OK food, good beers, decent pricing

Best food among Wetherspoons! It is always served right after fried. Cocktails and beers are good as well considering the price. The staff are all very kind.

Service was great, the food was perfect and the beer choices were fantastic, just unfortunate the wife wanted to go early before I could have another beer.

What a lovely Wetherspoons with quaint oak tree decorations and a wonderful small outside area.Apparently, there's a secret bar downstairs that opens at midday, but we didn't get to see it.Cold beer and friendly staff I would highly recommend.

Nice pub in London 🇬🇧 Our university rented the floor downstairs to have an event, drinks are really not expensive for London in general and the beers, cocktails and wine we tried were very good, therefore good quality/price ratio. Although I must say at some point it was smelling a bit bad in the bar for the last 2 hours in which we stayed.

Well final evening in London after being surrounded by Chinese and Indian and Malaysian restaurants I wanted something I knew and I was told to go here and we'll it did not disappoint at all. A mixed grill with fries and a Coke heaven food for the final night . It is kind of a strange thing tho for me somone who hasn't been to their places before the whole downloading the app and ordering from ur table me a tech head easy but I could see how confused an elderly couple where who where travelling and walked in and sat down no idea how to get served. But the waitress explained but still u cud see how hard it was for them using smart phones so wud be nice to still be able to order normally.

It is a Wheterspoon pub, so the prices are quite cheap and affordable. This place is especially large and spacious, it has two floors. In addition, at the back of the local, there is a nice outdoor terrace. Toilers were clean. I highly recommend downloading the wheterspoon app so you can order food and drinks from the table and thus avoid the queue. If you order through the app, the food and drinks usually arrives sooner. 100% recommended 😊

We have frequented this Spoons on a number of occasions, most recently last week. Although pictures are from our visit in October 2023. Always very pleasant and clean. If you want to pop to another Spoons the Shakespeares Head is just around the corner..

First came here about twenty years ago. It hasn’t changed much but no real need to. Not one of Spoons’ more beautiful buildings but it is deceptively huge once you get inside. The Dow stairs cellar is equally unexpectedly large. There’s also an outside terrace section at the back. Service is good and I usually use the App. Food is Spoons food, so cheap but not overly cheerful. Atmosphere is usually good after work and tends to be busy. I’ve got warm memories of this pub so I’m fond of it. A good understated London pub.

One of the best wetherspoons I've ever been in. Feels really spacious, has an outside space at the rear (was raining so didn't use). It was also well decorated for Christmas and felt very warm and cosy. Wasn't rowdy during the time we visited on a Sturday afternoon in December. Service was really good, even the order to table service was really efficient. Will come back and would eecommend

A large Spoons in the heart of Holborn. Has some nice booth seats, a small courtyard and a cellar bar too. Been to this Spoons a few times now Food is the usual Spoons menu. We had the boneless chicken bites basket and a spicy meat feast pizza. My chicken was fine but, unfortunately, my husband's pizza was over cooked and very dry. But usually the food if fine.

Visited here several times during our stay in London. Nice spacious & clean pub, lots of seating, nice and bright around the bar area due to skylights There's a cellar bar, but we didn't visit that. Food was excellent, friendly staff... another excellent wetherspoons pub!

Visited today, and whilst it tasted nice, for nearly £10 for a bit of veg and noodles in a broth, this definitely felt like the famous scene from Oliver, "can I have some more please sir". Quite a rip off. Wetherspoons always was known for good value,, but alas, no more.

Great pub, great seats, staff and beers. I had a lovely point of something Christmassy - a spicy ale, I forget which. Immaculate toilets. A bit pricier than other 'spoons, but we're in town.

Went here for breakfast Sunday morning in the rain. Being on the edge of the West End, it wasn’t busy. Ordered via the app and the food came quickly. The food was good and the service quick and excellent. Huge place with another bar in the cellar. Lots of comfy seating with booths tight at the back. Very clean toilets etc.

When I was a local, I was eating there once a week. Food was good for the price level. Recently visited them again, the atmosphere is still the same (library cabins with books are unique). Food portions seem to be smaller but I guess this is a general economic issue of 2020s. In general great place.

I’ve eaten at many a Wetherspoons in my life, I frequently eat at the Knight’s Templar around the corner and love the brand. This particular pub however was as terrible. My pint looked more suited to insulating a house and I’ve eaten better food from a school cafeteria bin. I had the mixed grill, I still do not know which was the lamb and which was the beef, they both tasted and looked the same, like vulcanised rubber, they were both so tasteless and chewy I was tempted to ship them to Turkey. My meal was also missing some food but I think that was the highlight of it. I recommend you avoid this pub and eat at the McDonalds or gutter located just opposite.

This place is very central and a great location for meeting up with friends and family. We had breakfast here and thoroughly enjoyed it. We were a group of four and because it was early Sunday and it is quite a large establishment we were lucky able to have a choice where we sat. The interior is colourful and intersting. The choice of foods is very good and caters for anyone with allergies and food preferences. The staff were friendly and efficient from the moment we entered. The food came very quick and the portions were very good. I ordered the large breakfast but even so, I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of food when it arrived. We all ordered different meals and there were no complaints and everyone enjoyed themselves. We will definitely go back here when in the area again.

Lovely place. Staff were brilliant, attentive and very helpful as I was with a group of 20. I organised the group meeting and beforehand the manager was very accommodating and helpful. There is a toilet on ground level for anyone with disabilities which was a requirement. Its absolutely lovely in there and when some people got a little hot they went into the garden. Everybody loved the choice of venue and I recommend that you go.

Delicious, filling food, amazing atmosphere with no drama and ABSOLUTELY brilliant staff members always on hand to help. Another extra thanks for the staff for really making this experience special, you guys were fab! The prices are so cheap for the amazing quality you're getting. I 100% reccomend stopping by whenever you can! Thanks!

Very good pub and ideal location if you are travelling in Holborn. We went as a group of 12 to 14 of us and we were having a good time. It was a very big place inside so enough table and chair and also outdoor place for big events. Orders drink beers, cocktails, shot. Standard typical London price pub. Food menu is good but mostly the best is drinks.

This bar has a very bad attitude! Talking about guests! Not even a cup! He said it was us, and they were very unfriendly! Very discriminatory to us! Saying at the bar after we turn around that we still have dirty words! This is a bar we're never going back to!
