    Awful service. People on reception are rude and appear to be uncaring. Near impossible to get an appointment - I waited on hold for 1.5 hrs to be told to call back after the weekend and try for an appointment then. And when I did eventually get an appt, they said I could only have one with a senior nurse and not a GP as none available, and the nurse was very rude.

    I used to be with this surgery years ago and spent three years trying to get a routine appointment - gave up and moved. Unfortunately, I have moved back to the area and I am back at this surgery - clerical staff are amazing here in my opinion - I'd like to comment on the GPs however, I have not had the pleasure of meeting one ie I have been referred to the hospital after one blood test, despite there being a 4 month wait to the referral service for the "life threatening condition" I have had no further tests nor input from the GP - abandoned! If you are keen on not receiving any care this appears to be the place to be - look at how many 1 star reviews it receives! Desperately searching for an alternative GP practice however looking at Newark reviews it seems unlikely to happen... I think it's likely that I'll die before receiving any hope of a GP appointment here.

    Finally they have changed the way of appointments you can ring anytime to organise a opponent. I rang at 1pm and got a appointment for Wednesday of the same week. They also have a website to make appointments . My only gripe is that I cannot get my personal GP. But apart from that bravo Barnaby gate

    Absolutely ABYSMAL! I have been trying for over a week to get an appointment and I have yet to even actually get through to anyone. Waiting on the phone for hours is not possible when you have a job. My condition is deteriorating and I can't even speak to a receptionist! Shut it down, not fit for purpose.

    I have had quite a lot of bad experiences with the surgery in the past, but I always feel it is good to make sure the good is known. I have had an appointment today with Dr Barker and she was absolutely incredible. I was so nervous to go to the doctors and actually speak about the issue and situation as I had never spoken about something like this before. She made me feel so comfortable and couldn’t do enough to help. I am so grateful to her and hope she gets to see this. Thank you so much!

    2 days of being on hold for over 2 hours to be told no appointments are left and yo be told both times go to urgent care!!! How do they like to put the all the pressure on one doctor at urgent care newark when they have a full place if doctors at the surgery SHOCKING

    Never waver heard of a worse Gp surgery . You can’t get appointment even if you call by 8:30 am. When they call you back, they always say “sorry appointments are done” . Please can anyone recommend a better Gp. This Gp surgery should be named and shamed

    I know and have experienced speaking to a doctor is not what it used to be. However I must say the new ring back service, rather than holding for hours work well. First day there were no appointments but I did not ring first thing. Second day managed to get an appointment. Also loaded up NHS app as apparently can book on there, not sure if it will work as ID still being checked..

    Went to the surgery with tonsillitis, got told to pick my prescription up within the hour , 5 hours later no prescription, rang the surgery up only for them to say they had forgot, promised me again they would call me within the hour and have it sorted , no call , no prescription , absolutely shocking

    Call to get an appointment, they say call at 8.30am with hundreds of others. Can't make an appointment by popping in. Been waiting for over 4 months for a doctor to call me about a scan i was apparently book in for. Absolutely terrible service but i guess this treatment is the step to privatising the nhs for a better (paid) service. Also they only send you to buy a prescription opposed to finding other methods of treatment with faster healing. Not good at all.

    Had an ecg and annual health check yesterday received a text last night from a gp saying they would call me the next day received that call to explain results in full and a plan. Excellent service
