Banned from Trisha's because the barman repeatedly touched me at Gerry's and I asked him to stop. When I asked him to stop, he said "how would you like to be banned from here? Would you like that?" So I told management. When I came to Trisha's for my birthday with nine of my friends, all expecting to pay for cover and loads of drinks, he came upstairs and said "all of you can get in except her," and pointed at me. Apparently now I am banned because this man clearly has authority and perhaps mommy issues. I used to love Trisha's but now you wouldn't catch me in Soho for anything. I feel extremely disrespected and wish I could get my membership fee back as I was only able to use it for two months. Hope he enjoyed my birthday cake I brought the staff; it was homemade by my best friends.

Trisha's is a members only basement bar. It has a great atmosphere and has been going for decades. It is small in size but big in personality.

Place is completely overrated and not worth the money. The sound quality of the band was rubbish, they make you pass through checks to get in, and charge you a bomb for poor service. To top it all off, the barman who was there was an absolute tool and made us feel a bit uncomfortable. Definitely need to improve on staff and at LEAST sound quality if they’re doing to call themselves a jazz bar.

Funky little bar that reminded me a lot of American dive bars. Expect that selection of drinks. The dj was fun and seemed to be having a great time - I really enjoyed watching her vibe to the music. It was quite loud (again, reminded me of an American dive bar haha) and the music when we went was 60s which isn't really my jam. But a unique little place, I enjoyed coming here!

Racial profiling at its worst. I’m a born Londoner and thought that sexism and racism was a thing of the past. How wrong I was as I watched a white couple rejecting the notion of paying £10 a head in cash. We (me and a friend) were next and spoken to with utter contempt. I explained that I had called the establishment and a kind Welsh lady called Sarah said “yes please come without worry of rejection, you just need to pay your entrance fee as we are still able to accommodate 65 people for walk in”. The man at the door said he is the authority when it comes to entry and the people that work at the place are either unqualified or “just bar staff” that know nothing. Luckily other much older Jazz venues like Ronnie Scott’s couldn’t care less about race and gender. What a disgraceful establishment you are.

Came down to London mid week to see a show and to experience the Jazz Bars. Unfortunately we weren't allowed in Trisha's because we couldn't supply our passport or driving licence. Being ladies over the age of 50 we didn't think we would need identification. I think if that is the policy you need to advertise the fact.

Started a bit slow initially as we got there really early, but as soon as the live music kicked off, the atmosphere was unbelievable. This is definitely a little gem I highly recommend visiting. Also, if you get there a bit early, you can snag yourself the best seats!

The sort of place you want to be a part of, Trisha's exists as an atmosphere, somehow unchanged against the rest of Soho.

Greeted by a really welcoming lady at the front desk, followed by a very rude barman who didn’t have the decency to use speech during our exchange. I would say the experience overall was spoiled by a few of the staff. Poor sound quality from the sound system in the venue which is a shame because what the band were playing would’ve been great to listen to. £10 entry is a bit steep for what was delivered and the beer choice was a bottle of Peroni for 6 quid or nothing

Tricia’s is my local cellar bar. Small, intimate and friendly; it retains its “faded” Soho feel. I enjoy it’s colourful character and interesting drinkers. It’s popular with small groups of women. There is some dancing and live music.

Fun jazz venue. The band we saw were very good. There's a £10 charge to get in (which must be paid in cash). After that you can pay for drinks in either cash or card. Trisha's is how Soho should be.

The best ever. Not much left of old soho but this is always amazing. Safe, friendly and welcoming. Been coming here for 20 years and can't love it more.

Amazing! Incredibly friendly staff and the DJ was really cool. It's so much fun. I'd go there any evening I'm in Central.

Nothing like having someone in the queue to the bathroom touch you inappropriately touch you, so you go into the stall with a friend to stay safe- only to have some intimidating security guard bang on the door. We were there for less than 5 minutes for 10 pounds each. The rules about bathrooms were no where to be seen and discriminate against women trying to protect themselves against men. There was no one to talk to refund us or any chance to ask for help. I use to love this bar- strongly do not recommend. I would appreciate if I was to be refunded the 20 pounds for literally 5 minutes of being unfairly discriminated against. This made my friend cry. Ruined an otherwise amazing evening.

Really cool little hidden bar. Has an authentic vibe that is very hard to define and even harder to find. The bar staff are great, really friendly.

Wow.. This place we found because my friend just remembered it out of no where.. There is no sign board no way to find it.. So you need to know where you are going.. In the basement.. Small jazz club in the heart of Soho.. One of the best jazz place ever.. You have to visit it..

The literal definition of a hidden gem, great music - wouldn't be out of place in the USA. Can get a little bit cramped because of its popularity but well worth going into for some drinks and good music

Lots of ups and downs in here but generally good time. Up until I found out the owners son (Danny) had given his girlfriend who worked there facial reconstructive surgery. The guy has always had a mouth and finding that out was disgusting.

Good luck finding this place. Our group got split up when we disappeared from the street. The way in is a door that looks like just a normal house on a normal street. When you manage to get inside and go down the stairs you will be welcomed into a party basement with a wide range of visitors. Get a drink, sing along with some Bin Jovi and make new friends.

Great staff, great music and open late! I've never had a bad time here. The full experience. It's a really great spot to take friends from out of town as well.

I come for the free pour spirits, and stay for the bangers. Trisha's forever.

I wouldn't say it's my favourite, but I wouldn't miss it either. It's an experience! It's definitely not a mainstream experience. It is a small place, there is a entrance fee and the drinks are a bot cheaper than the average Soho price. Some people that hang around the bar can also be seen in photos on the walls, which gives the place a surreal vibe. The bathrooms back onto an outside garden. Nothing about this place is typical.

70 Yeats old, this place is legendary! Tucked away, sometimes people who have been there before can't remember how to find it, but yet this is a place has a character and atmosphere you'll never forget. What it lacks in opulent decor, it makes up for in it's eclectic mix of patrons. This is a hidden gem, transporting you back to the Soho of yesteryear that needs to be experienced! You may or may not like it, but you do need to experience it!

If you can get in, you're in for a treat. Buzzing, unpretentious, the one thing you're not allowed to be here is BORING!

Had a great time , Sunday night when I was in London. I found this place by chance but absolutely loved it. Rock n roll tubes, vintage aesthetic , totally recommend it when DJ set in on!!

Over priced and living off the legacy of exclusivity that holds no weight other than to make the washed old folk feel a bit more important. Staff and patrons alike seem to think an angry drunk woman deserves to stay after putting hands on a man half her age in a dispute over a chair. Avoid at all costs.

Spent two weeks organising my girlfriends birthday party. Put down a £100 deposit to get 15 people in. I turned up with my girlfriend and was told we weren’t allowed in because they were at capacity despite having paid already. People who were in the guest list weren’t allowed in after I’d already paid a lot of money for the open bar. Danny the manager wouldn’t reply to phone calls and text messages. After having to wait for people to leave, and two people invited gave up their place to let her in- the birthday girl was finally allowed in. After an hour of being there, a regular at the bar started a fight with people from the party. The people on the guest list were kicked out instead of him. Bar staff were rude and tried overcharging several times. Council should shut this place down.

If you want a place that feels like home away from home, this is the gaff. Trishas - like the owner Trisha is unpretentious and feels like the only bit of old soho that the place has left. Florence and the bend are amazing, genuine old school jazz musicians who get the atmosphere going. Drinks are reasonable in price, and the staff are down to earth. Treat them well and they will treat you well. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not a chain. If you want sterile, perfect service then go over the road to Simmons. If you want down to earth, no thrills hospitality with an amazing atmosphere, spend the £20 and become a member. Welsh girl on the door is a lovely, charming girl who is the bubbly embodiment of soho itself.
