Nice pub for a beer and something to eat. Staff are friendly and they serve a wide selection of beers, wines and spirits as well as a selection of food

Very nice pub and great beers but unfortunately the food is horrible. No taste old cold fries. We waited more than one hour for the food. No recommendations for eating in this place .

we saw this pub almost every day b/c it was close to our airbnb and so glad we finally tried it on our last day in london! great ambience inside, and we were so happy that food was still served late on a saturday night-- and it was probably the best fish & chips we had! fish is fresh, hot, and crispy and generous portion.

I moved my review to 5/5 stars the 2nd time I was here. The Albert did an outstanding job after given feedback. Their burger was delicious, melty and juicy. The seafood risotto was creamy and pipping hot. Had a very enjoyable experience and would come back again! Thanks for making our trip so memorable <3 ---------------- I would not get their Sunday roast. Was super disappointed, this place was recommended by a friend so I was excited to come. The 28 day aged sirloin was dry and tough, seemed like it was in the warmer for hours. Yorkshire pudding was cold, sad and flat. Roast potatoes were luke warm and not crispy at all. Was hoping the gravy could help bring up the heat and flavours, but it was watery and bland. Cool atmosphere but I would not recommend the Sunday roast.

The Albert is a well-known pub in central London. It’s a great spot to watch a match with big TVs. Good selection of beers and a few ciders. I ordered the Steak and Ale pie with cabbage and mash and gravy which was great and quite British. When in London…The fish and chips also looked good. There are plenty of tables both up and downstairs.

Nice pub with lots of seating. A bit on the touristy side, but a lovely building with lots of character.

Nice atmosphere. The fish and chips were superb. The crust on the Steak and Ale Pie a little tough. It took half an hour to get the food but we were told up front. I’d go back in a heartbeat.

BEST BURGER THAT I HAVE EVER EATEN (the pub's signature one). Friendly and accommodating staffs. The food's waiting time is just a bit long — probably depends on the food that you would order. Overall, it is a great experience. I would definitely come back!

We have tried fish & chips and drunk London Pilsner and watched a premier league game. Best decision we have done for an evening in a typical British pub! We will come again🍻

A little treasure among all the new buildings. The atmosphere at the entrance and the bar reminded me of the "Peaky Blinders" set. Very good food, tap beers and ales, and even non-alcoholic Gin and Tonic.

Beautiful, authentic pub in the middle of modern architecture. Looks amazing! But. There is something should be fixed. 1. It seems like the toilets weren't cleaned for ages there... 2. Fish and chips supposed to be served with lemon. It wasn't. When we asked for lemon lady carelessly said, they don't have lemons, and has offered lime!! She brought only one small piece and we had two fish and chips.

It’s a cozy local pub with lots of history in it (there’s a sign outside of the building about it). Very friendly stuff & delicious food & beer that were served in no time.

We visited The Albert for lunch. Nice selection of beer on tap. They offer the usual London pub menu. I tried the fish cakes. It was OK. Friendly service. Remember to order at the bar.

Can't really judge the food as only had a snack. But the pub and atmosphere lovely. Beautiful old pub, so well decorated keeping the character of the old style and not ruining it's style. Nice and clean. I loved this pub would definitely go again. Good selection of drinks, too.

Great atmosphere and busy pub. Lovely old decor. Food quite disappointing for the price a burger and fries no side salad or onion rings We constantly got interrupted by the staff asking if our food was OK, I actually got fed up with it. Then a staff member reached across my face whilst eating to clear an empty glass, surely he could of waited for 5 minutes as I was almost finished.

Local pub, good atmosphere for a short relaxing time. Food is quite disappointing (quantity and price) and service quite slow. On a positive note, Large quantity of beers and good music

I can't really comment on the food as we only stopped in for a pint as we strolled around London on holiday. The bar staff were quite friendly and the atmosphere was top notch for this immaculately decorated Victorian era pub. The contrast of the exterior in the otherwise thoroughly modern section of town is what initially attracted us, and I'm glad I stopped in to enjoy a cask ale - highly recommend the house 'Albert' ale.

An oasis in the middle of a characterless Victoria Street offering. With Scotland Yard next door, it feels like Sherlock Homes is about to make a dramatic entrance - fancy dress and all. Full marks for ambience but dreary old food lets the place down - but hey, don't you miss real old bland pub grub from the good old days with a fine Abbot or IPA? I did. And thank you for that!

I enjoyed both the fish and chips and Meat pie and of course the ale! This was my first time with both dishes so I don't really have anything to compare it with so all I can say is that I enjoyed it, especially the meat pie! Plenty of seating and ambience was great. The bar is really nice as well, big as expected! Awesome old style building between modern ones. See my pics

We had three very poor turkey dinners ordered today (this was the best of the three). All cold and it felt there was no care put into the meal at all. Very disappointed, roast beef looked alot better.

A stunning building. Staff were polite and friendly. Food was fresh and hot. I don't live in London but if I did I would definitely go on a regular basis.

Nice pub in central London area with typically English style. You can order food from phone or at the bar. Had sirloin steak with fries and meat was a little tough, but tasty with the peppercorn sause. Wife tried roasted chicken with cauliflower & cheese sauce, potatoes, yorkshire pudding with gravy. Food was served hot and was tasty.

The Albert offers a delightful dining experience with their scrumptious shepherds pie and delectable seafood risotto. The shepherds pie, a comforting classic, features perfectly seasoned ground meat and tender vegetables topped with a golden crust that adds a satisfying crunch. Each bite is a harmony of flavors that leave you longing for more. Equally impressive is their seafood risotto, boasting a symphony of fresh seafood, creamy Arborio rice, and fragrant herbs. The combination of succulent shrimp, tender scallops, and perfectly cooked mussels creates a seafood lover's dream. The Albert's culinary mastery shines through in these dishes, making them absolute must-tries for any food enthusiast.

Decent pub, good drinks selection. Gets very busy on Saturdays or when there's a rugby game on, so best to book if you want a seat. A lot of the tables are high level ones with stools, but the larger group tables seemed to be normal tables.

Remembrance Sunday so pub packed and took a while to get used to the noisy but lovely atmosphere. Good service but food not up to standard. Manager lovely. Not my scene so will not go back. If you are a real pub person then probably fine but in London I think I will stick to restaurants.

Beautiful place and very good food experience. Drinks were good too and the staff was very nice and kind. I've got served by a lovely girl with curly hair who was very polite and helpful in choosing our food and beverage. Definitely coming back.

My parents and I enjoyed The Albert as our first meal in London. It was a beautiful sunlit and stylish pub. Very popular as there were reservations on almost every table. The fish and chips were absolutely delicious and we really enjoyed the British steak and ale pie. The sausage alone was different than what we’re used to but when you do a sausage, gravy and mash combo it was scrumptious! We were famished and it hit every spot for us!

The new owners are doing a great job. Incredibly friendly service (and on such a busy day - pageant jubilee), and felt like a valued customer. Great work guys - keep smiling

Th Albert was our quintessential pub stop on our trip to London. The pub was super cool, it definitely scratched the itch and didn’t disappoint. The drinks were good, the food was good, the staff were friendly, the ambiance was on point. I ordered the fish and chip (it was mediocre, but serviceable) and we also ordered the halloumi and chips (this was shockingly delicious). Definitely worth the stop if you’re looking for a pub to visit in London!

Well lets start with the customer service, the waiter came with our food an hour after we ordered and placed our food at the end of the table so we had to sort out everything ourselves. The food itself was bland and dry. The lasagne was so burnt it had no flavour and her salad was wilted it was inedible. The katsu burger was burnt, no coriander, spring onion or red chilli. No rosemary or salt on the rosemary salted fries. The mac and cheese was dramatically under seasoned and the chips were poorly portioned with the burger.

Very nice looking pub at a prime location. Poor service and pricey food for the quality you get. Good selection of beer, but unfriendly staff. If you don't have any other options, which I doubt, you can swing by.

Stumbled across this charming place when trying to see the Queens funeral procession.. Ducked inside to see on tv. You could hear a pin drop even though so many ppl were squeeze in.. Silent tears on many faces. Came back for dinner & it was soooo loud it was like what you see on tv. I think one of the gents or cadets? carrying the Queens casket was there & older men wearing the many medals on their chest during the procession were also inside dinning.. We had no idea we were in such a special place. Very fun jolly atmosphere by night.. So glad we happened to stumble across it, very special.

Amazing historical facade w/chalkboard sign outside advertising Best Fish & Chips in London -drew us in!!!! Great atmosphere with absolutely stunning decor. When we entered the restaurant/bar chalkboard signs on walls also advertised Fish & Chips. No notice on menu or sign that menu was not available in total or was a skeleton menu.Ordered fish and chips only to be told NOT available. Patrons there with burgers/chips so cooking up fish was not impossible??? It felt more like not warning to as it was few minutes after 9pm. Such a shame. Should just be a bar instead of restaurant offering something you no longer can provide??

Dropped in after seeing the local sights on the hop on hop off bus. It's a seat yourself style place that you can either order from the app or go up to the bar. Bar ordering was a bit long and took a few minutes to get it done. Ordered the Steak Sunday Roast with an extra side of chips (fries). The steak could have been better for the price (bit tough for my taste with a large portion being tendon), potatoes were cooked very strange and had hard bits in them, the cheesy cauliflower was great though.
