My bed was broken, so I was forced to move rooms on the first night. Then, I had to move rooms again on the second night, to an 8 bedroom dorm, when I paid for a 4 bedroom dorm. I was with my friend so we were forced to be in seperate rooms. They did refund me the difference between 4 & 8 bed dorms, but there was no apology and the staff were just unhelpful and disorganised in general. The bathrooms were dirty as well. Good location, everything else was not good. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

I’ve been to 5 other hostels in London and Hostel One Notting Hill is BY FAR the best one. Great rooms and facilities! At all times I saw cleaning staff hard at work. My favorite part of my stay was how easy the staff made meeting other travelers! I made so many friends. Every day the staff held events and games. All the guests were super friendly and I think everyone fed off the energy of this staff. The other hostels I’ve been to had great staff that made sure everyone was comfortable, though Hostel One was the first time I saw a staff that made sure everyone was comfortable and having a great time. They seem to only hire extremely fun people so they make party planning look easy. I could go on and on though I’ll just give a huge “thank you” to Vanessa, Marta, Laura, Max, Haide, Emily, Isabella, Andrea, Zak and the others who’s names I’m blanking on. Was an absolute joy meeting you all. Thank you for an incredible travel experience! One morning I was downstairs and Marta sat with me in the TV area and we watched Star Wars - I think part of her wanted to watch the show but I also think another part of her wanted me to have a TV buddy. That’s just one example, out of many, of how much heart these people have. If you want to stay in an amazing part of London and make a few friends along the way, I highly highly recommend staying here.

I had a wonderful stay at Hostel One in Notting Hill! I had never stayed at a Hostel before and I think this place may have ruined the rest of them for me, from what I have heard. The showers and bathrooms were so clean, the common space was very fun and cute, the beds were comfortable, and the staff was great. Special shoutout to Staff member Jake who immediately made me and my travel partner feel welcomed. Amazing that it was just his first few days working there! The one warning I will offer is this hostel is a party hostel, so there are lots of younger people and events every night from 8pm (starting with free dinner) until about midnight. This was 100% great for me, but may not be for everyone. Again, 5/5, 1 would 100% recommend Hostel1.

My favourite hostel in London. Close to the Central line so you can easily get to London Bridge, SOHO etc for sightseeing or transfer to Victoria/Paddington station to get to the airport. They offer different tours and outings everyday for free. Washrooms, showers and common areas are super clean, and had no problems during my entire stay. I was traveling alone but I was able to meet lots of other travellers in the great environment. The staff are amazing, and are super friendly. Shoutout to Marta, Andrea, Isabella, Dani, Jonathan, Adam and the rest of the staff for the great time in London. Would definitely stay again!

If you’re visiting London and looking for a hostel you have to stay at this one. I stayed for 5 days and had the upmost best experience here. The environment and the people were welcoming and friendly. No matter if you are traveling alone or in a group the hostel has activities every day for you to enjoy. If you stay at this Hostel you will get to experience what the real London is like. You can always count on Nick, Emily, and Nils to make your experience wonderful. I highly recommend this hostel and I plan on staying there again on my next trip to London! - Grace B

Everyone was awesome since we arrived, they let us leave our bags in the morning so we could go and get to know London. Once we were in the Hostel, the employees of the hostel included us with everyone and also invited us to tag along in their night out. Our last day, they allowed us to leave all the bags with them so we could go and get to know the city even more. The room was clean and tidy, it had natural light, and was right next to the showers. Totally recommend this hostel for your stay.

Great location and really friendly and helpful staff! Michael and Nilz made me feel at home and were extremely kind and caring when I felt unwell with a migraine. The hostel was clean with a nice common area to meet others and with free family dinners and daily activities ! Highly recommend!

Absolutely the best hostel in London. It feels like a family! The staff and volunteers are all lovely and welcoming. The common area is great for meeting new people and the free dinners are an unmatched perk. There are organized activities every day so you can go out partying or stay home and relax with others. The beds are comfy and rooms are quiet at night so no problems sleeping.

I've stayed in a lot of hostels around the world, but I travel alone and am always on the lookout for hostels that are both social and in a good location. This is hands down the BEST hostel I have stayed at for both. The staff that worked there were so much fun and they went above and beyond to make sure every single guest enjoyed their stay. Staff can change quickly due to it being mostly volunteers, but when I stayed it was Ellis, Bella, Olí, Meg, Givea, Thais, James, Andrea and Julia. Thank you guys so incredibly much for making my time in London so memorable. I always felt SO safe at this hostel and if I ever needed anything, staff was ready to help. The location couldn't be better. Nottinghill is such a fun neighborhood to explore with lots of cafes, markets, stores, pubs, and train stops within a 10 minute walk. Every day there were walking tours free to go on, and every night there were group dinners/snacks followed by drinking games and a night out. If you want to explore a bit more of the bar/club scene in London, this is the place to go! I already can't wait til I go back to London and stay here again. Truly a 10/10 hostel experience!

'Reception' basically on the doorstep. The building was never renovated and you can see paint flaking everywhere, old stairs, general old and bad look of the building inside. Owner must be horrible Scrooge and sorry for those young people working there in those conditions. Rooms are cramped, no space to turn around. No fans for the heatwave. Neighbors from the other buildings can see you taking a shower or doing whatever...you have to climb up the fourth floor to take shower and there are only 4showers for all floors (for maybe 80people??). WiFi barely works or at all.back garden full of rubbish and you will have 'amazing view' on neighbouring gardens full of garbage as well. Terrible and depressive place. Maybe are is fine, but hostel is disgusting.

Best hostel I have stayed at so far!! The staff are super friendly and helpful and really made my stay a great experience! The hostel run various activities throughout the day that are great for meeting people. Every night we play drinking games then all go out together. Definitely a great place if you are keen to meet people!!

I was so impressed with this hostel! I was traveling solo for a few days and loved how social it was. They plan day and night activities every day and offer free veggie dinner most nights. Most of the folks staying there were also traveling solo too so the environment was very welcoming. I had a private room which was spacious with a closet area and hangers. The public showers and bathrooms were always super clean too. I think they have an age limit too so it was all young people. This was the most social hostel I've ever stayed in. I had a great experience and will definitely be back!

As I was told by the team "it's a party hotel". That's cool but it should be advertised clearly as so. If you're the kind of person who likes party, you should definitely go there because there are parties and activities every day and every night. But, if you are not into this, it's not a good place to stay because it's really noisy. In addition, the common room and the kitchen are hogged by the revellers from 6pm till midnight... We were several peoples who wanted to chill together but weren't able to do so because we had nowhere to sit and relax... PS : The team is very nice !

Staying at this hostel was an absolute delight! The vibrant atmosphere, friendly staff, and spotless facilities made it a home away from home. The central location allowed for easy exploration, and the communal spaces fostered great connections with fellow travelers. From the cozy beds to the well-equipped kitchen, every detail was thoughtfully considered. A fantastic budget-friendly option for a memorable stay!"

Genuinely, the best hostel I have ever stayed in, in my life. Everyone here is incredibly trusting, friendly, kind, respectful, and all around welcoming. It felt so welcoming. It’s in such an amazing spot not too far from everything. I made some really good friends here. Can’t recommend it enough !!!

First time in a hostel and it was so easy and enjoyable. All the staff are so lovely and great to hang out with. Really enjoyed the planned aspects as well as freedom to do your own thing. Perfect for solo travelling with a great social atmosphere. Rooms and common areas were nice and clean. Would 100% recommend to people looking for a good time in a stunning location

Wonderfull hostel Probably on of the best I’ve ever stayed at. Lots of social activities both during the day and night. Also lots opportunities to meet people to part with since they arrange something every night Everything was very clean and tidy. The staff were super nice and helpful and made sure of great vibes all day around Location was great as well with lots of things to do in the area and easy to get to city center. Rooms were to the small side, but that didn’t really matter, since it didn’t feel too cramped Overall amazing stay I would definitely comeback

Absolutely loved this hostel. After staying at over 15+ hostels, this is one at the top of my list. Super social environment where it is easy to meet new people and plus the daily activities hosted by the hostel make it even easier to do things in London. Staff was very friendly and would recommend you out this on your list for a place to stay at. Love #OneFam

Stayed here for 3 days! And my experience was amazing! The staff is extremely kind and they are always around to help and just have a chat! The manager is really nice. The rooms were really clean. And it was just a really nice place to stay!

Best hostel in London! Very social, the people of the staff are all very kind! They also take you to tours of the city during the day and to pubs or clubs during the night! Thanks to the age restriction you can enjoy a very youthful atmosphere! Clean, free dinners, you can cook and they also make your laundry! Very cute decorations and design! Safe for women: I was feeling very uncomfortable in my room because of a weird male roommate, and the staff changed my room immediately after I explained them the situation. I also made some trouble with my booking at start, but they helped me very kindly! Met so many solo travelers, very nice people! Had so much fun, recommended!

Staff were super welcoming and made sure all the guests had a great time. Free dinners were a great way to bring everyone together and the drinking games made for a super social atmosphere. Met the most amazing people, definitely recommend! Perfect for a solo traveller.

The location of the hostel was amazing, the Notting hill area is beautiful and you can easily travel to the city. The rooms and common areas were kept tidy and clean the whole time. It is a very social hostel and you will easily make friends there! Also shoutout to Isaac for making everyone have fun during the activities in the evening and for Ryan and Lincoln for making our stay great

The location is great, 10 min walk from Nothing Hill Gate station! The only downside is that the rooms are quite small, especially the lockers. The shared showers are very clean, the activities organized by the hostel are great, and there are meals/outings every evening!

Stayed here two nights. Location is amazing. Notting Hill was so likeable, for me and my friend - maybe even more than downtown London. Super easy to make friends & group activities were fun! Would stay again. Cleanliness was decent, although windows are kept open and spiders were a reoccurring issue. Other than that - no complaints! Staff was young and cool too.

The cutest hostel experience you could have, the staff is amazing! They are friendly fun and very helpful. They offer free dinner, drinking games then a night out, the perfect package for bonding and getting to know other… Definitely recommended for solo travelers or whoever is in to gain friends and have fun. Location is very safe, and a lovely neighborhood. Cleanliness is great, they clean every day multiple times.

Great Experience in Notting Hill I had a fantastic time at the Onefam hostel in Notting Hill! The location couldn't be better – surrounded by charming streets and close to public transport. The staff is super friendly and helpful, providing useful tips for exploring the city. The dorms were clean and comfortable, though the rooms are a bit small. The kitchen area had a vibrant atmosphere, perfect for meeting fellow travelers. Delicious snacks cooked by the in-house chefs in the evening. My only minor gripe was the limited washrooms and size of the shower rooms. Overall, a wonderful stay that I'd highly recommend to others.

Great hostel for meeting travelers and partying every night! The staff was super cool and friendly, rooms and shared spaces were always clean and stocked with whatever you needed. Def want to stay at other Onefams around the world 🤘🏻

Although I only stayed two nights I had a great time. The atmosphere was so good, the staff made it even better. The free dinner was a nice plus that I didn't expect and gave everyone a good opportunity to get together and meet new people. The location is great, very beautiful and the tube is a short walk. Only con would be that the rooms are a little run down. Bunk beds are old and make a lot of noise when anyone moves. Noticed a few stains and rips in the bed sheets and the pillows were mad lumpy. The staff were cleaning regularly so I'd say this is a matter of age rather than cleanliness! Could do with a refresh but I still slept fine, not sure I'd stay to long as the rooms are super cramped and there's barely enough space for the beds let alone everyone's suitcases. The showers were nice and clean but the toilets were so tiny you could hardly move around opening the door, there wasn't really anywhere to get changed since everywhere is so tiny

Amazing hostel, great location, very clean place, showers are really good. The social aspect of the place is the biggest feature. Staff is excellent and everyone was so friendly, so far it was my best hostel experience. Shoutout to Michael and Nilz for welcoming me so well!

Really great friendly staff, GREAT price and location, free dinner with everyone in the evenings, organized outings during the day and at night, clean bathrooms and dorms, hot showers. Really have no complaints. I know where to go when I stay in London :)

Great hostel with very friendly staff, many activities during the day, free dinner, clean, well located and very good price. Beds are a bit noisy and not very comfortable though. If you are looking for a hostel to meet people and have lots of fun in London, that’s definitely a great option.

If you are a young traveller looking to experience London, there is no better place to stay! Perfect location in Notting Hill area, being central but not in a busy street. There is activities to attend every day, so if you are travelling alone; you are not gonna be lonely in this hostel! Amazing and friendly staff, super inclusive enviroment. Only good things to say about my stay!

  • 1/5 Georgie A. 1 year ago on Google
Worst place I have ever stayed. No complimentary ear buds in stock so Mrs sleep apnoea is the only person who's had any sleep, the bathrooms are disgusting and I haven't found any toilet paper during my visits, and there is absolutely 0 privacy anywhere to preserve dignity whilst dressing. Not even curtains around the beds. Will absolutely never book again, I'd rather sleep on a bench. Then I might actually get some sleep.

  • 5/5 Jasmin K. 1 year ago on Google
Loved my stay! The team is great and there were always things to do: days and nights out, drinking games and free dinner... Or just meeting new people. The beds were comfy and, at least for my preference, the mattress were well fitting. I didn't make use of the offer, but a sign on the door stated that extra pillows would be available from reception if needed. The location is great and has quick access to supermarkets and two tube stations (Circle, Centeal and District lines). This made it super easy to get from the hostel to the city and back - especially on weekends it's great to be on Central line because of the Night Tube! Yes, the reviews that state there is little privacy are true - but you know that before booking if you look at the pics. Can easily be done under the blanket. During my stay I found the bathrooms to be clean whenever I used them. Same goes for the cleanliness reviews - if you use facilities directly after another (maybe less considerate) guest it is absolutely not the Hostels fault - they can't check and clean everything after wach use. The only downside is the wifi having a mind of it's own, but a bit of a break from constant online availability is good anyways So, I'll definitely return! So far, this was the first Hostel where I really was able to connect with people beyond some smalltalk in the rooms. I loved all the activities I joined and had good sleep so everything was great!

This it's not a hostel, is the hostel! A very good option if you are traveling alone or in a small group and you want to get a very fun and social stay. Very clean beds and the staff incredible. They organize night outings and night community meals.

The staff is very welcoming & inclusive of all ethnicities & identities (including queer identities). Location is also really good. Located in a safe neighborhood which is well connected to all major tourist attractions of London city. All basic services are provided at hostel. Cook your own meals in the hostel kitchen. Free family dinners & post dinner hangouts were the best part during my stay. A very good budget friendly option.

  • 3/5 Tamiya 1 year ago on Google
The staff were friendly and helpful. This is a party hostel, they have a family dinner every night and then go out clubbing every night. I enjoyed the interactions with everyone in the hostel. My only dissatisfaction is with the rooms. The rooms are quite small and the facility doesn't have designated changing areas. They have very small toilets and mixed showers. But no area to change after the shower. The building is very old and needs to be renovated. I saw a lot of odd ant type bugs crawling around.

Had a great stay at Hostel One Notting Hill. The beds were comfy, the rooms and bathrooms clean. Check in 24/7, so great service even if you arrive in the middle of the night :). Best part of it all was spending time with the other travelers and the volunteers! Daily walking tours, family dinners, nights out - very grateful for this experience!

I never had been to a hostel and I was sceptical, I booked out of necessity for one night. But in the end I stayed 4 nights and would have stayed more without a problem. The staff was absolutely incredible and helpful, especially Laura and Isabella. I can assure anyone who is sceptical about hostels to at least try this one... The atmosphere is amazing, you meet cool people, you have cooking facilities, showers, bathrooms, comfortable beds and two sockets next to every single bed. You do need to bring you own lock for the locker, but you can always leave anything valuable in the luggage room. You can also rent a towel or bring your own. I mean for the price and location you can't go wrong, the only downside is sharing a room, but I slept like a baby so I can't complain.

I had a great stay for 3 nights at Hostel One. I loved the location right near the underground and bus stops. Staff were very friendly and I loved the social aspect to the hostel. The free tours, dinners and drinking games made it easy to meet new people.

Stayed here for 4 days, it was great. Me and my party had a great time here. The staff were friendly and helpful. It's a social/party hostel, so if you not looking for that, I would try somewhere else. The rooms are tight, the beds were sub par. You may encounter a spider or two. Pretty close to the tub and bus. Overall this is a great hostel to stay at. I definitely will be staying here again, on my next adventure. Full video on YouTube, Next Adventure Official

Best first hostel experience one could have. Won't even consider going to another hostel when I go back to London. Very welcoming, good mix of varied activities to participate in, socializing between guests and staff is natural and made it easy to get to know people from all around the world while exploring London. Sad to leave but left happy knowing I have their location in Prague to look forward to. Hard to say when I would be back but if anything in London made me want to come back it was Hostel One.

Went on a solo trip, never experienced such a social hostel. The. vibes. were. immaculate. It was so good that I extended my stay as many other people did. The staff was so friendly and cheerful, shout out to Larissa, Meg, Thais, Bella and Eduarda! The others were also really nice but I didn’t get a chance to talk much with. You get to know all the people in the hostel during the activities and you become friends with them. There’s even free dinners! I’ve never seen such clean common bathrooms in a hostel. The only flaw are the beds, some (not all of them luckily) frames are hollow and uneven so mine really hurt my back and I had to change beds with a better one, but that wasn’t an issue as there wasn’t much sleep going on with all the partying.

Amazing environment, great activities to get to know other solo travelers, kind staff always there to help. Very comfortable living spaces (kitchen, living room etc). Safe location even at night, and surrounded by grocery stores and shops. Always a good time!
