Booked two nights stay at the hotel, unfortunately my household tested positive for covid. Explained the situation to the hotel they refuse to even give me a partial refund. So £90 I won’t see again! Never will use the hotel again and stay away as they just want your money

Was turned away even with a booking, but honestly, I was somewhat glad. It's without a doubt the worst "hotel" I've ever had the misfortune of being inside. It looks, smells and feels like a drug den through an through. If your choice is stay here, or sleep in your car... the car. Also good luck communicating with the "hostess" who speaks almost no English and seems generally displeased with both her and everyone else's existence. Please do not stay here for your sake!

Terrible business! Made a booking at 11:57pm and rang up asking if me and my mates could come after 1am as we wanted to get food first and he said it was fine. As we were in the taxi on the way there we got a call from the hotel telling me not to come and that the reception closed at 12! And they won’t refund me any money. Ended up stranded in London with nowhere to stay waiting for 8am train. AVOID AVOID AVOID

Not a great first impression - shown to an employee loo as too early for room- shower mat dirty. Didn't like the look of the kitchen so didn't have breakfast. Having said that room was cleanish and comfortable. En suite looked quite new.

Awful communication from the house keeper. Was told we could check in during the early hours of the morning after being stranded in the city and was phoned 30 mins later after the booking and payment was taken (£106) to say he was leaving to go home. No refund issued. Would not recommend.

Completely avoid this hotel. There are good reasons why this hotel consistently gets 1 star ratings. Arrived to the hotel, asked to check in. Hotel asked to take payment again, even though had proof that stated the room was already paid for via Agoda, Non-refundable. Then claimed I didn't pay (Find that hard to belive considering I was charged £52). Had to talk to the Manager through WhatsApp call as they couldn't be bothered to deal with issues in person. Refused to cancel my booking and issue a refund on the basis of "its not paid for", which was a complete lie, as a paid receipt was provided, as mentioned earlier. "Receptionist" could barely speak more English than a three year old. Good communication and language ability is essential for front of house. The hotel looks horribly outdated, poor hygiene/dirty, cobwebs, smell of tobacco linguring in the air, unloved hotel and clearly uncared for in general, in hopes to make short term profit. Avoid the hotel. The cheap price isn't worth it. Genuinely awful hotel. The other reviews are there for a reason. Don't "just give it a go". The pictures on booking websites are misleading, genuinely awful hotel. Please avoid.

The staff was really friendly a huge thank you to the man that helped me with my train ticket as my Samsung flip 4 phone was stolen in Oxford circus, thanks to this kind man I took the train ticket to Hull train company and they upgraded me to first class so I could get back to East Yorkshire where I live safely and quicker than planned. Thank you ever so much I appreciated your assistance, the price of a single room is very reasonable and the garden is nice where you can sit and chill out. The room was very clean with a lovely clean ensuite bathroom, tea and coffee facilities also a TV. I would of enjoyed my stay more if my phone wasn't stolen in Oxford circus part of London. I would come back to this place again in the future definitely. Thank you for a pleasant stay I apologise for leaving without saying goodbye but I wanted to get home as I didn't feel safe being in London without a mobile phone I was cut off from my family in Yorkshire after my phone was stolen I was distracted while the man stole my phone it ruined my short break away but I hope to return here in the future and next time my brand new phone won't be stolen in Oxford circus as I will be more aware next time.

Pictures of the rooms online aren't necessarily the rooms you'll stay in...... The room was functional but very dated / tired. Service was OK at best. Location is great, with car parking included.

Ruhig gelegen, trotzdem alles gut erreichbar, zumal es kein Frühstück gibt( bei " Gail's" sehr gut!) .

Wo fängt man an.

Stayed at the hotel for one night whilst attending the Harry Styles gig at Wembley Stadium. Wasn’t the cleanest but the sheets were clean and bed was reasonably comfortable. Would recommend for a one night stay but no more than that.

I am giving three stars because i don't want to spoil business. This enterprise is built for profit. Rooms need an upgrade and facelift. For the price, they can do better. Clean better too.

Tatty looking place with massive rooms for a family. It was ok for the night...we found it to be grubby and the shower base was dangerous as it was slippy and the water was either red hot or cold, as the control was useless. No breakfast either and I thought it was a B&B. Great for Wembley if all you need is a bed.

You could not pay me to stay here. I would rather sleep in the streets. Whatever you do, do not book this rank place.

DO NOT STAY HERE. Not even as a last resort or 'just somewhere to sleep. The building, including rooms, are FILTHY. Dust everywhere - floors, curtains, lampshade, dirty duvet cover, disgusting walls with writing and weird drip stains, thick limescale on kettle and taps, hair in sink and shower, extraction fan in bathroom looked like it's never been cleaned and the stairs handrails have a thick layer of dirt. Giving it a one star is too much.

I’ve been living in london for 24 years and I’m familiar with this type of old Victorian building It’s not the best of course But roof on top of the head for a cold and snowy days and night on December it’s worm and Cousy rooms with new shower and toilet I’ve been here for a week and will be another 3 week and recommend the hotel if u r not fussy Other wise pay double or more to get better place ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ For me

Please read the other reviews. This place is extremely filthy, noisy and smells of smoke. I had to stay here due to proximity for work on the day and literally felt itchy. The place needs an industrial clean, as the furniture is dusty and the shower is rusty. The floor is also disgusting, sticky and it’s very creeky everywhere. It was also very expensive when you take into account the conditions. Horrific.

I made a mistake booking this lodge without reading the reviews. I cancelled the booking and booked elsewhere. I was refused a refund which was a little annoying but I decided to loose £100 and pay elsewhere than risk staying.

I booked a room in this hotel just for ease of access during New Year's Eve for like £185 and I wouldn't recommend it again. Not only was the floor extremely noisy but the furnitures, dusty and the breakfast served was enough for a Pigeon!

A place of despair. Filthy and run down. Loud noise all night. No towels or toiletries provided.

Had to stay here for work. Bed bugs in the bed in the first room, also stank of cigarettes and damp, was then moved to a second room by the back garden. Better room, however I was kept awake by the alcoholic long stay tenant shouting racial slurs until 4am, when he fell asleep and continued to shout in his sleep. Complained to the manager both times, not a great deal done about it other than move to another bad room.

I would give zero stars if I could... I had booked a twin room for one night for myself and my disabled daughter due to a family wedding taking place in London. Upon booking and paying (months in advance) I emailed the hotel explaining that we would be arriving prior to check-in time and would it be ok to change our clothes and leave our suitcase somewhere as we were being collected by a taxi at 1.15pm to get to the wedding on time. They confirmed that this would be ok. When we arrived, the man (owner?) said we couldn't come in as the room wasn't ready. I reminded him of our email exchange and eventually he agreed to let us in. The room hadn't been cleaned yet which in itself was no major problem, but it absolutely stank of smoke (even though there were no smoking stickers on the door), the furniture was broken including the beds, it was filthy (and not from the previous occupants) and there was detritus under the beds and TV table which were covered in dust so had obviously been there a while. There was no bin, and no full length mirror. The man and the woman housekeeper spoke very little English. When I asked what time breakfast was, I was told they don't do food, but when I booked it clearly stated "Abbey Lodge Hotel - B&B" which I believe stands for "Bed and Breakfast". Fortunately, when I told one of my family members about all of this, they immediately offered for us to stay at theirs instead. When I arrived at around midnight to collect our belongings, I saw the man again and told him why we wouldn't be staying. He just shrugged his shoulders and said "ok " - he didn't care because I had already paid and it states "non-refundable". I chose this place because of financial restrictions, but stupidly didn't read any reviews before booking - lesson learned! Stay here at your peril....

Unfortunately booked this accommodation ahead of reading the reviews. Our room was beyond disgusting, no effort made to clean it prior to our arrival. We managed an hour in the room before changing to a different location. No free parking as advertised, sheets were dirty and ripped, shelving was hanging from the walls, mould around the corners of the room and dust all over the provided cups. Grim. This appears to be a common occurance and they don't seem bothered at all. Glad I didn't stick around for the night entertainment.

I was there last month. It was nightmare. The rats every where in my room. So when I speak with boss was rude with me. I left in the mid of night without any refund.

Room was a good size, bed linen and towels clean. But the rest of the room wasn't very clean. Cob Webs on the ceiling. Floor needed cleaning.

Ah, my recent lodge escapade was a true masterpiece of discomfort. Who needs a functional TV or a room with actual space when you can embrace the cozy challenge of standing in what feels like a sardine can? And let's not forget the strategic placement of the toilet door – because who doesn't love proximity to their headrest? The non-cooperating external door was just an avant-garde touch, inviting the refreshing breeze inside as a bonus feature. A thrilling feature, providing an open invitation to the great outdoors with every passing breeze. The delightful scent of something mysteriously perished in the room, the walls embracing the essence of a dedicated smoker's paradise – it was all like a neglected storage room, but with a twist! The bed sheets, untouched since purchase, a bold move, offered a vintage feel, and the dust on the floor added a charming layer of history. Opting for a £100 Uber ride back to Essex? Well, that was just the cherry on top of this regrettable choice for accommodation. Cheers to unforgettable discomfort!

This place is a sham and it’s absolutely disgusting. This isn’t worthy of 1 star even, let alone the 2.5 or whatever they claim. We booked 3 nights, for fear of being eaten alive by something in the sheets stayed awake all of night one and then ditched. Freaking toilet seat doesn’t even fit. Outrageously overpriced. We only wanted to stay in Ealing as we used to live there and these photos showed a good. Yeah… it probably was when those photos were taken at least 20 years ago. We found much nicer PROPER hotel accommodation in London city centre. The staff for all their broken English were friendly but it’s a hard pass. Don’t waste your time and for heavens sake save your money!
