I
would
give
zero
stars
if
I
could...
I
had
booked
a
twin
room
for
one
night
for
myself
and
my
disabled
daughter
due
to
a
family
wedding
taking
place
in
London.
Upon
booking
and
paying
(months
in
advance)
I
emailed
the
hotel
explaining
that
we
would
be
arriving
prior
to
check-in
time
and
would
it
be
ok
to
change
our
clothes
and
leave
our
suitcase
somewhere
as
we
were
being
collected
by
a
taxi
at
1.15pm
to
get
to
the
wedding
on
time.
They
confirmed
that
this
would
be
ok.
When
we
arrived,
the
man
(owner?)
said
we
couldn't
come
in
as
the
room
wasn't
ready.
I
reminded
him
of
our
email
exchange
and
eventually
he
agreed
to
let
us
in.
The
room
hadn't
been
cleaned
yet
which
in
itself
was
no
major
problem,
but
it
absolutely
stank
of
smoke
(even
though
there
were
no
smoking
stickers
on
the
door),
the
furniture
was
broken
including
the
beds,
it
was
filthy
(and
not
from
the
previous
occupants)
and
there
was
detritus
under
the
beds
and
TV
table
which
were
covered
in
dust
so
had
obviously
been
there
a
while.
There
was
no
bin,
and
no
full
length
mirror.
The
man
and
the
woman
housekeeper
spoke
very
little
English.
When
I
asked
what
time
breakfast
was,
I
was
told
they
don't
do
food,
but
when
I
booked
it
clearly
stated
"Abbey
Lodge
Hotel
-
B&B"
which
I
believe
stands
for
"Bed
and
Breakfast".
Fortunately,
when
I
told
one
of
my
family
members
about
all
of
this,
they
immediately
offered
for
us
to
stay
at
theirs
instead.
When
I
arrived
at
around
midnight
to
collect
our
belongings,
I
saw
the
man
again
and
told
him
why
we
wouldn't
be
staying.
He
just
shrugged
his
shoulders
and
said
"ok
"
-
he
didn't
care
because
I
had
already
paid
and
it
states
"non-refundable".
I
chose
this
place
because
of
financial
restrictions,
but
stupidly
didn't
read
any
reviews
before
booking
-
lesson
learned!
Stay
here
at
your
peril....
