101 Stay

Serviced apartment

😠 I stayed here for 4 months as a tenant. the rent was 870 per month. So, my comment is based on the tenant experience. The place was totally, ridiculously dodgy. 1. You cannot sleep on Friday and Saturday or sometimes Sunday because there is a night club in the 1st floor of this building. That mean... People often mention room, dirty, building, stay, hotel, told, baby, call, toilet, number,

Don't stay in this place. I don't know where to start... Unlike other travelers, I was luckily not at 101 Stay on a day where the club was open. On the other side, the room was drafty and cold, as well as that I could hear every subway that drove through the underground. The decor was acceptable at most, the shower hardly drained, the toiletseat was not attached properly. To top it all off, on my last night, the fire alarm in my room went off by accident at nearly 6 AM. Either spend a little more, or stay in a less convenient location.

Let's start by calling him to leave the suitcases before 1:00 p.m. because we were with a baby and he said no. Then you have no reception or way to pick up the keys because we called him 20 times and they don't pick up the phone and when they decided to pick it up they say You wait 2 minutes while they are going to give you the keys, after 15 minutes you call them again and they tell you that there is a problem with Booking.com that they have not confirmed the reservation and that you make another one at another hotel and they cut off the call Incredulous of this, you call him again because you are a month-old baby and he repeats, make a reservation on booking and this character had already charged for the room. Suddenly 2 girls come up and tell us that the manager usually leaves people on the street with the same story. Thanks to some friends who speak English better than us, the guy gives us a room. When we arrived it was not what we had booked and there was that dirty room with dirty sheets, thank goodness some friends left us some sheets so we could sleep.

If the carpet had been vacuumed, the water in the shower would drain, the mattress would have been unstained, the fire alarm at 0230 a.m. out of 6 nights wouldn't have gone off twice, the toilet seat, the TV and the heater would have worked when we had the loud one If I hadn't heard or even felt the club's music, then I would rate it better. The lack of reception, the expansive entrance and the unwiped stairwell weren't that bad for me.

No main reception just a side door you have to ring a number to get someone to come and let you in. Clearly not finished renovating, the work that is complete is to a poor cheap standard. Fire alarms went off in the middle of the night for no reason with no staff around we had to deal with this ourselves. Only positive was the location

The entrance was an absolute dive. Dirty, dark, cold and no lock on the door. Very unprofessional service, no reception. Had to call a number to be told that we needed to wait 30mins for someone to let us in. When someone finally did arrive we were told the room was in someone else's name. Lots of people coming and going. Incredible disappointment, nothing like advertised. Ended up in Premier Inn across the road.

DO NOT STAY! Avoid this hotel. Do not be fooled by the 'perfect looking photos' it is a good marketing plug and they clearly were from years back when the place first opened. This hotel is dirty, we had leftover food from previous guests left in the fridge, the place smelt, dirty bedding, dirt on the floor and bits of hair and other persons clothing tags etc. Wires lose hanging, practically everything was broken in the room, it took forever for someone to let us in. and please note if you do stay there is NO PARKING. I was told it was free and where to park in a bay then slapped with a £40 parking ticket when i woke up and owner claims hes never spoken to me before - though its on the advertisement. So apparently I never stayed though he has my money. This place should be shut down for all sorts of breaches!

One of the worst hotels I’ve ever been too, took me absolutely ages to find the place. The man on the phone had no idea what I was going on about. Once we did find it, it was round the back of a night club, the lady took us through a dark, scary fire exit up to the second floor. There was no check-in which I found odd - I could have been anyone, the lady did not even ask for my name or any details. The place was filthy, stairs were also unsafe. We finally entered our room which was just as bad, nothing like the photographs. The doors and windows were duck taped together, main door did not shut properly, toilet light broken and toilet seat. Mattress was dirty and grey, no duvet covers on either. Carpets were very dirty and stained with god knows what. We walked in and walked straight back out and booked somewhere else. PLEASE AVOID!!!

I have lived at 101 stay for a few months. The building is secured and ideally located near Archway station, on the Northern Line. All the shops you need are on the doorstep including Argos a few minutes walk away. I give a 5 star to 101 stay as it is good quality for the price you pay. I didn’t want to share a flat with someone else so it is the lowest rent I have found in London for a studio, and still very central. The studio is very cosy with wooden floor and the building just got a new front door which makes it secure. The landlord Carlos is very friendly, always helpful, and available if any queries. Anyone who needs a low budget place to stay in central London, it is the place to be.

I stayed here for 4 months as a tenant. the rent was 870 per month. So, my comment is based on the tenant experience. The place was totally, ridiculously dodgy. 1. You cannot sleep on Friday and Saturday or sometimes Sunday because there is a night club in the 1st floor of this building. That means you loose peaceful weekends: you will absolutely loose two nights out of one week. 2. Shower room sometimes smells sewage gas. 3. You have to pay electricity. This building doesn't have Gas facility. In the winter you have a very cold room with expensive electricity. 4. There are around 10 households in one building. You can see bunch of the letters in a corridor since there are no mail box to assign each mail to each room. 5. Because the building was also used as an AIRBNB room, you will hear the noise sometimes. 6. There are no rules to discard the baggage bin hence there are sometimes black bins in the corridor… (But this will be solved easily, I guess.) 7. The landlord provided a nearly broken desk and a window lock and subtracted the fee from the deposit. Nonsense. I strongly recommend you to take a picture all the things there and to ask them to use deposit secure scheme of the government. (This is mandatory for all the landlord. Legal matter) 8. Good things were they are relatively cheap. 9. Very close to the station 10. They have never used deposit-protection scheme. Aren't they illegal businesses?

Although staff were friendly and welcoming, we decided not to stay in the room. The entrance was cold and dirty, and we had to walk up stairs 2 levels (with a baby and pram) upon entering the room it was very damp and musky, the floors filthy too. No radiator but a heater which wouldn’t work. Decided to leave as didn’t feel comfortable staying in a cold damp room with a baby. No refund was available.

On arrival it felt a bit odd that we had to call a number on the wall to let us in, the guy who answered didnt know we had booked to stay. Entering the building, the stairs were so dirty and it looked like they had never been hoovered! The facilities in the kitchen were dirty also and broken, there was even a washing machine with a clock inside it aswell. We entered the room and it was soooo dirty, the floor was dirty and there was a stain on the bed. There were moldy old socks under units, roaches and god knows what else. In one of the drawers we found a hair dryer, baby oil and a few dvds. The baby oil was strange to come across? On the plus side the bathroom was fairly clean, but the hose for the shower needed to be fixed with a bobble to stay up so we could shower. We were told that the room would be given a 15 minute clean everyday, this didnt happen, nor did we get clean towels when we were told or toilet paper. One evening we had to phone to get toilet paper and they took so long to provide us with some that we left the room and had to go to a resturant to use there toilet. The noise up the stairs was unbareable too. There was children running around and it sounded like heavy objects were being thrown to the floor too. When we called to get it to stop, nothing was done about it. Near the end of our stay the secured enterence was also broken and looked like someone had broken the lock. I wouldnt stay here again! And i wouldnt recommend this place to anyone either. It was nothing like the photos and it wasnt safe or hygienic either. (I dont even think this place is worth a star but i was t able to write a review without giving at least 1)

If I could rate this hotel as a 0 I would. Arrived at 8:30 in the evening a d couldn't find the car park so decided to pop to the hotel and ask. You cannot access the building you have to call a number. The first number didn't work and when calling the second number a man answered. To say he was completely useless is a understatement. He wasnt even in the building to help me but told me if I went round the back of the building I should see a alley and the parking was near there. After walking around for a bit and not being used to London especially when it's dark, and had no idea where I was going i asked if someone else could come and assist me in locating the parking as I have a disabled husband and child with me. His reply was there is a lady in the building but she is unable to help. He just kept telling me it was there. From looking at the state of the hotel through the window and his poor customer service i told him to cancel my booking and I would find somewhere else. Don't be fooled by the room pictures. On a side note for the hotel when a hotel claims they have parking it should be easy to find and be part of the hotel. BOOK HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK
