Leaving drinks for colleagues from work on the basement area. It was really nice location, at the back of Victoria Station. The Pub staff were very friendly and a great atmosphere in the place. Very well kept PH and a lovely place to meet friends for drinks. I did not have any food, so I can't comment on it. Plenty of seat outside also. Recommended for groups who wish to have a reserved area to have work drinks.

Fish & Chips was delicious as was the Toad in the Hole and Steak & Guiness Pie. Wait staff was friendly and attentive. Would definitely recommend.

Stumbled across this local spot close to my hotel, and was very happily surprised. Food was excellent & so was the service! Erica was great. So polite and accommodating. I went a few times. Tried their fish and chips, homemade chicken and mushroom pie and fish cakes. All were fantastic! Highly recommended

01/01/2023 One of my favorite meals on the trip. The spare rib pie was so good. I love UK pubs and this one checked all the marks. The staff was friendly and we had a brilliant time.

A fine Nicholson's pub close to Victoria Coach Station. The St George's Tavern offers a fine selection of both cask and keg beers for our enjoyment. A Nicholson's menu for those on solids....including Sunday Roasts for both Carnivores and Herbivores! The staff are lovely and service is great. A fine place to visit and enjoy.

Came here on a Thursday afternoon at about 1pm. The restaurant was not too busy but definitely had people in it. We ordered right away, and got our drinks immediately. You order at the bar. I have been to many nicholsons pubs and enjoy them, so I like to check out ones I haven't been to before. As I was ordering I asked the waitress if she wanted me to wait to finish my order because she was pouring drinks and I didn't want to distract her but she told me to go ahead. I ordered a chicken, avocado and bacon salad with fries, a brisket sandwich with fries, a diet coke and a beer. Right off the bat she gave me a regular coke but I'm not one to complain and I didn't care too much so I let it go. The food came shortly thereafter, and most of our order was incorrect. I got a sandwich with fries instead of my salad with fries that i ordered, and my grandma got a brisket sandwich with a side salad instead of the fries she ordered. We didn't complain because we were still happy with the food and it was delicious, and we aren't super picky. So I give it 3 stars instead of 4 because our order was so messed up but the food we got was still great and we will come back, so no real complaints from us. The service was friendly and quick, the vibe in the restaurant is as you'd expect in a pub and it was an overall pleasant experience. I'm sure the mistaken orders were just misheard and not a regular occurrence.

Enjoyed a really pleasant meal here on a weekday evening. Only a few minutes' walk from Victoria station. Arrived just before 6pm and didn't need a reservation. There's a separate dining area near the back of the tavern which has a lovely atmosphere. Service was excellent - there was only one server in the dining area but this was no problem as she (Erica) was very efficient and attentive. The pies are delicious - recommend the chicken and mushroom pie. My partner had the lamb shank Shepard's pie. The only downside was that the Shepard's pie filling was slightly runny and wasn't piping hot. Vegan and vegetarian options are available.

This pub has great atmosphere and plenty of seating. We were visiting London, and my cell service was a little spotty inside the pub (important because you need QR to place order). I had trouble connecting to the free wifi as well since my texts weren't coming through for the sign in verification. Staff were very nice, allowed us to order at the bar instead. Service was very fast and the food was amazing. I'd highly, highly recommend trying the garden platter as every single thing on it tasted amazing. My bestie got one of the salads and enjoyed it immensely. I had the beef rib/brisket pie which was phenomenal -- pastry was perfect and flaky, brisket was flavorful and melt in your mouth delicious; the side mashed potatoes were super good, and the veggies were great with the gravy. Portions were large. Bathrooms are available one floor up. Would highly recommend trying their gin and tonics!

We had a lovely evening here yesterday, with wonderful food, drinks and fantastic service. Our server was super kind, funny and really helpful with the menu and recommendations (I'm so sorry, I didn't get her name!!!). The pies and food was literally amazing and packed full of flavour. We especially loved the sweet potato and goat cheese pie and the chicken and mushroom pie. Definitely recommend a visit here for a proper English pub experience!

We arrived early for our booked table . There were five of us Received a very warm welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. The pie was lovely. Very filling. Would most certainly visit again. We sat in the downstairs area. The downstairs toilet was beautifully clean but the toilet seat needs fixing. It was like sitting on a roller coaster without a seat belt.and the best bit was because one of us signed up online we got 25percent discount.we went there sat 7th May 22.

Had meal with my friend yesterday he had fish cakes and apple pie he enjoyed it with his 3 largers. I had steak this was full of fat and grizzle the rest of the meal was fine. Not worth the money the brandies were great! In the past have had the fish and chips very nice. Went back to pub friend had the same meal still the same. Will not go back. Lots more pubs to eat in.

Erica was our server. She was very attentive, friendly, helpful, extraordinary personality. We came back 3 more evenings for a meal and a pint ( or two)) and had her for our server. The food was wonderful as well We will highly recommend it to anyone.

Such a strange experience. We came in and wanted to sit down so we went to the back, the lady serving the tables said I’ll be right over to take you order and proceeds to sit us down…15 minutes went past so we decided rather than waiting for her slow service we would just go ahead and order from the QR code in front of us on our table (pretty standard post covid days) she then came back 5 minutes after we ordered (so would’ve been a total of 20 min waiting if we hadn’t ordered) we then said we’d ordered from the QR code in front of us. She then (straight faced to the point we thought it was a sarcastic joke) said oh you can’t sit here if you ordered from the QR code and with a very confused explanation of her being a completely different company and that we would have to get up a move out to the bar sitting…zero explanation before we sat down that this was the case. She then proceeded to kick us out the exact same pub (after spending about £100+ just so far) and as there weren’t any tables available at the pub side we had to wait till someone had left… The bar staff then acted equally as confused when questioned they had no idea she was doing it. Manager didn’t even come out to explain what was going on and it was almost like this “we’re too scared to speak to our colleague and the manager won’t even come speak to us” vibe. So confounded that this was happening, and even worse that management wouldn’t come speak to us let alone anyone explaining why…even though it’s the same pub serving the same meals…

A very lovely Tavern. The food was delicious and no doubt freshly made. Our experience was made even better by our server, Erica. She was very friendly and chatty during the entire evening, which I appreciated. The only thing that could be improved could be the restrooms, which were a little dirty and slightly below par. However, I would reccomend eating here and will definetly visit this establishment again in the future.

Absolutely nice pub next to the Victoria Coach Station, nice, friendly and helpful staff. There are lots of kinds of pies or other English food on the menu and of course, good beers and ciders. We loved them very much.

A delightful experience . The food was generous and perfect. I had fish and chips and it was as I would expect from a high-quality English pub. The staff was lovely and gave us great suggestions in terms of drinks. The location is a big plus. A piece of advice for those coming from Victoria: don't follow the GPS and cut through platform 1. You'll thank me later 😉

My daughter & I came up to see a show and thought we would book into st. Georges Tavern for a meal, as last time we visited London we went to another one of Nicholson pubs and did not have a very good experience. although this was rectified in the end. But I would just like to stay we both had a lovely evening, food was great, atmosphere was good and our waitress (Erica) was really nice and helpful. We will definitely be coming back here

Well looked after, spacious with different areas for meal, chilling or just a quick drink. Staff helpful and knows what to recommend. Interior is cool too! If you just off Victoria Station and want to get into British pub, that’s the place to go! For those who enjoy low or alco free drinks, try big drop paradiso beer. Loved it! 0.5% Tomato soup was okay, the size of bowl was ridiculous. My coffee cup at home is bigger than that. Soup is always cost effective for any restaurant/pub/eatery, please start serve decent size bowl of soup, bread on the side was burnt. Lovely pub, but there is a place for improvement. And toilet sink tap in lady’s broken that leads to water waste big time. Three stars to draw attention to my observations only, the rest all good.

Nice pub, good selection of food and drinks, and I've had their awarded pie with meat cooked in Pale Ale, which was delicious. I've ordered at the bar as I found it easier, otherwise, you can order and pay by scanning the QR code on the menu. Tried this location out as it was close to my hotel and saw that it is crowded every time - for me, this is a sign that smth. good is happening inside :)

Myself and my friend had to cancel a restaurant that we'd booked so tried here on a whim. It wasn't that busy for a Saturday so got a table. The man behind the bar was shocked when I asked for a bottle of wine and asked if I'd like a glass with it. I think he thought it was just for me and not for the two of us to have with our meal. The lady who showed us to our table was polite, friendly and professional and very accommodating. The menu doesn't have very much in the way of veggie or vegan options. I asked if the calamari starter was big and enough for 2 to share and was told it was small. When we ordered 2 they arrived and were huge, we couldn't finish the dishes and had to leave room for our mains. Also the calamari was slightly overcooked. I had the fish pie which was ok with many prawns but I nearly swallowed a big bone that was in a piece of salmon. My friend had the steak and ale pie. We then finished our drinks in the bar. The rear restaurant area of the pub is nicely decorated and inviting. The restrooms are clean. The food is quite expensive for what it is.

Was looking for a cheerful pub near my hotel and lo and behold we have St. George’s Tavern. Friendly staff and the Lentil Cottage Pie with a Guinness hit the spot. Definitely worth a try.

Amazing visit, food and service... It has been 3 years since our last pre-covid visit to London, it was so great to stop in for a pint and a great meal downstairs in the cellar with amazing service by Erica. So nice to have our 1st fish & chips at the St George's Tavern. Great atmosphere, with outside tables and option to order from the bar or dine downstairs. Worth a visit. Thanks Erica.

Nice pub located just next to Victoria station, in a quieter street. Friendly staff and good drinks selection. They do bookings too, very useful for sports events (eg 6 nations) when pubs tend to be really busy!

I enjoyed a meal with a pie and a good beer. Vegetables are ok but could be better cooked.

I enjoyed the food and the drinks! The only thing holding me back is the fact I had to order from the bar, or wait for seating in the back. I understand that this is probably to alleviate the pressure on the servers, but it was hard to order from the bar when everyone was trying to do the same thing. The staff is very nice and they cared, so it was pleasant over all😊

Stopped by on a saturday night for dinner. Regrettably this clashed with end of england vs scotland rugby!! We did manage to find a 'quiet' table. Friendly and prompt service, good food, decent value for money. Handy location close to Victoria station.

We had a valery warm welcome, fantastic service and wonderful food. Erica was so pleasent and helpful and the manager gave us advice for traveling around London. There is a fabulous selection of ale on tap and I would highly recommend anyone to stop bye for their wonderful pies and the fish platter starter.

Loverly delicious Sunday roast. But beware you will need an empty stomach for the generous portion you receive. Only little niggle was the lighting was a bit to dim, especially when trying to red menus

Stepped in to this pub from the cold walking from Victoria Station. Great find. It was warm and inviting. We ordered at the bar, and drinks were brought to our table. Pleasant visit, great service. We will stop in again for dinner and drinks.
