Just spent 3 nights at this fantastic hotel. First of all, the location couldn’t be better. You can walk to every major attraction and all the shopping districts, theatre and restaurants. The service was absolutely top notch. Camille at front desk was warm and inviting and remembered us throughout our stay. Everyone we encountered at the hotel from the bellmen, front desk, housekeeping, bar and restaurant staff were all exceptional. The rooms were spacious and serviced in such a timely manner. Honestly, we’ve stayed at a lot of really great hotels but the service at the Sofitel truly stands out. We would absolutely recommend and return.

I'm just back from a beautiful stay here. The staff are excellent, courteous and knowledgeable (incredible staff on the concierge desk). They welcome you by name every time you walk through the lobby, and nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast is extensive, and judging by many guests, a 90 minute affair. We didn't dine in during the evening, but the cocktail bar St James is stylish (although I think the gene-sequencing cocktail tree could happily be recycled into a mug rack and no-one would miss it), filled with stylish people and music, and somewhere you can wile away many a late night hour. The rooms were outstanding: rarely have I slept on such a comfy bed away from home, and the turn down service was very sweet. The views and accommodation meant being in the room was a joy. The location is probably unparalleled. And they were nice to the marathon runners coming in from the rain. What more can I say. 😁

What a fantastic hotel! Felt welcomed straight away. The lobby smells amazing! We were shown around the facility’s of the hotel as it was our first stay here. Room was wonderful and very comfortable beds. Didn’t get chance to try the restaurant but the breakfast was lovely! The only thing that could be improved is the quality of the English tea in the room (personal preference maybe). Overall, 100% would recommend and return.

The location is great and I loved the restaurant. However, found that the room had some design flaw, the bath room didn't had a shower curtain so each time the entire floor of the bathroom became wet, a few times the cleaning lady woke us up at 8am because we forgot to set the do not disturb and even went in 2 second after knocking, and lastly and one of the light was flickering which I expected the cleaners to notice to note. Especially for the price I would not expect these things. Beside that staff is very friendly and had a good stay, however for quality price ratio I would rate it 3/5.

Die Einrichtung, egal ob Zimmer, Lobby, Restaurants,Bar einfach sehr geschmackvoll und wunderschön. Die Sauberkeit ist einfach TOP Niveau. Das allerbeste in diesem Hotel ist aber die authentische und professionelle Freundlichkeit der Mitarbeiter. Die Begrüßung war äußerst freundlich. Check in unkompliziert und einfach (wir haben zuvor online Check in genutzt was einwandfrei funktioniert). Das Personal war stets bemüht, hilfsbereit und sehr aufmerksam. So einen guten Service habe ich noch nirgendwo erlebt. Ich kann das Hotel herzlichst empfehlen für eine Reise nach London! Vielen Dank für die unvergessliche Momente.

What a lovely stay! The hotel has absolutely the best location with several tube stations within a few minutes walk; the rooms are nice and the food delicious; however, where this establishment really shines is service. Every single person I interacted with was showed politeness, professionalism and warmth. Exceptional hospitality that made me feel so welcome and at home. It was also lovely to see a face from home (Australia)… thanks Jasmine!

Easily one of the best, if not, the best hotel I have ever stayed at. All of the staff were extremely friendly and nothing was too much trouble. All the assistance you could possibly require was only a simple request. The room was very well appointed, all you could ask for and more was in place. Never heard any noise from another room or from outside. Bed was super comfortable and the room was a lovely temperature. Very much enjoyed the bath, and the espresso machine. Highly recommend and we will definitely be returning next year.

Had a wonderful day with colleagues at the hotel. Buffet breakfast was delicious. Then had use of the private jacuzzi and sauna. Fabulous facial (my colleagues had the massage and said it was also fantastic) then a lovely relax in the relaxation room before afternoon tea. There was so much food we took some home (with our other complimentary treat). Every single member of staff was friendly and accommodating. Would recommend without hesitation.

Elegant decor, excellent location, and very fine restaurant on site (Wild Honey). Two small complaints - my room faced into a light well, so it was dark and a bit depressing. I guess someone has to take these rooms! And in fairness, they let me check in early after an international flight, so I was grateful for that. As well, the tub/shower is a hot mess. Very French in design, but impossible not to soak the whole room if you take a shower.

Stayed at the Sofitel for 3 nights last week. Upon arrival we were told an early check-in would be a top priority and will hear back. We arrived at the hotel around 9am, check-in was at 3pm. I received a text message around 2:30pm telling me my room was ready... clearly not a priority as I was told. Disappointed in the size of the room with the two beds. Very small and the beds were put together, so we had to separate the two smalls beds each night. The breakfast was decent, however overpriced and one morning my credit card was double charged.

We loved our experience with this hotel. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Our breakfast was included in this package and it did not miss. We loved the morning restaurant crew. The hotel spa was excellent. The location of the hotel was very convenient walking to all the major sites and to finding food around us. We would love to come back and stay here again for our next trip to London.

From the warm welcome from everyone in the reception hall when we arrived to the helpful offer of an umbrella when we left our stay was perfect. The smiling receptionist checked us in efficiently and helped us with directions- our room was immaculate and well designed- the bags delivered swiftly and with helpful comments about the room lighting - the spa was calming - the doorman when we left each time was attentive. I can’t compliment this hotel enough and it’s the staff that make it so good. Thank you!

Amazing stay, with an amazing team!! The Sparkle for my girlfriend 20th birthday was perfect and very kind. We will never forget our first stay here, and hope that we can come back soon. I wish all the team a very good day!

Went in for a quick coffee, it was really substandard it wasn't as warm as it should have been, I got it as a takeaway so it being cold before leaving the building was a bit of an issue. They do have nice cups though. At double the price of any other local coffee place I will not be returning.

Great location, awesome friendly staff from check in to check out. The breakfast at St James was superb. Dinner at Wild Honey was spectacular. We would definitely stay there again on our next visit to London.

Beautiful hotel and EXCELLENT customer service! Loved the bedtime tea and slippers at the bedside. Everyone we encountered staff-wise was incredibly helpful and friendly. A+ service (better than the Ritz if you ask me)!

We have been stay here for 3 nights, which is great location for our family. Near Piccadilly station and Charing cross station which is convenient to reach any attraction at London City centre, etc, Westminster, London Bridge. Even you can walk to Lecester Square and Convent Garden. The front desk very welcoming us when we reach early morning, even offer us to have breakfast. Our concierge bring us to room and explain all the room details and hotel facilities to us. Thank you do much all of you, made my stay like home.

Perfectly located for a Christmas tome week end in London. Hotel was great as expected, but the very best was the friendliness and relaxed and nice service from all staff, which absolutely made it a great stay. Super breakfast, and nice areas. Room was also nice, even if we got a "view" into the back-yard. Absolutely recommended. Comes with a price, but quality on level with even more expensive hotels in central London.

Cannot express how enjoyable our stay was at Sofitel St. James. Very attentive and ready to help staff. Fabulous breakfast buffet and menu to order from. Great coffees. Rose tea room very nice. Bar nice. Beautiful Christmas decorations. Rooms well appointed with SMEG water pot and tea and surprise snack every night. Location, location, location! Great stay. Thank you.

Visited the spa here for a hot stone massage between Christmas and New Year. The facilities are lovely and my massage was lovely and relaxing. My partner had a “relaxing massage” but said he was pulled about a bit too much for their liking, so we had slightly different experiences.

Staff, cleanliness, design, quality of service on the highest hospitality level. Perfect location that is in walking distance to the bustling heart of London but quiet at the same time. St James Park for a morning run and access to the London public transport are right around the corner to make the most of your time. During Christmas period hot chocolate and mulled wine are served within the palatial lobby area to get into festive mood. The hotelbar is the best in London and the barkeepers have the ability to make every guest feel special at any time. A special thanks to Violeta, who has made our stay unforgettable with her inviting, super-professional and kind way of welcoming us to the hotel and making sure my partner experiences a wonderful birthday!

From the moment we arrived we received impeccable service. The entire staff was just amazing and we were so well cared for. It’s easy to find a hotel that is clean with helpful staff, but what sets the staff at the Sofitel St James above from others is their sincerity. They are sincere about everything they do. It did not seem as if they were just doing their job but that they truly wanted to be helpful and wanted to take good care of us. That is this biggest difference between the Sofitel and other establishments. It didn’t ever feel like we were a bothering or annoying anyone. It just felt good being there. We were incredibly sad when our stay came to an end. One thing that I will never forget is when we were checking out I told the staff member helping us how we don’t want to leave and he said “we don’t want you to leave either”. We thought that was so kind. Most establishments want to get you in and out as quickly as possible. But it felt like the Sofitel St James enjoyed having us just as much as we enjoyed being there. From the bottom of my heart I can not thank them enough for giving us such a wonderful experience.

Beautiful place to be. I had the chance to work for an event here and it was amazing how friendly everyone was while doing my work there. It is an amazing atmosphere and being able to have a sneak peek through kitchen on a busy morning made me feel as I was behind the scenes in a movie. Might sound silly but it is an amazing vibe. The hotel is clean and staff are extremely kind and helpful!

Brilliant communication during our stay. We were able to drop off our luggage as the room was ready well before we expected. The location was a 5 minute walk from the theatre and within 5 minutes of a variety of restaurants. The bedroom was spotless with plenty of teas and bottled water along with a coffee machine. The bed and sofa bed were extremely comfortable and the room had a great view with no noise disturbance even during the day. The extra customer service such as texts and a phone call to check that everything was okay was appreciated. The staff were all very friendly! The attention to detail such as closing the curtains and putting slippers and camomile teas out for our return made this hotel somewhere we'll return to.

Had a great stay here this weekend. The welcome from the reception staff at check in was excellent. The room was spotless and housekeeping did a great job. I have just had a massage with Marie and she was fantastic. Attentive to my needs and preferences, and very kind natured masseuse -Everything you could possibly want in a spa experience. I felt very well looked after. She was highly professional, warm- a breath of fresh air. She is an asset to the spa. Thank you Marie! Just had the best spa pedicure with Emma. Mine was a virgin experience gift and l was not disappointed. Emma was attentive, professional, took her time and provided an excellent service. The whole ambience from entry with the concierge, reception and champagne was super. Will definitely be back!

This hotel is just wonderful. Chef came to our table and welcomed us. Went through each dish and the waitress who looked after us was great. 100% coming back.

I went to sofetel Hotel and had a superb lunch with my friends and at £35 per person Monday to Thursday daytime 1 *mitchlin restaurant very highly recommended. Good staff please don't miss out.

From the moment we walked in to the moment we left the staff were attentive, professional and friendly. The room and facilities were fantastic, the prestige suite is something I would recommend to everyone to try atleast once. The level of service from room service champagne to reception staff answering my silly questions was flawless. Our dinner at wild honey was a beautiful addition to our stay. The bed is comfortable and inviting, the storage space is ample, the fixtures and fittings are sleek and provide a nice finish to the rooms. The design of the suite is stylish and tasteful, I could go on and on. 11/10

Exceptional, beautiful hotel. All the employees have been very welcoming and helpful. Front desk, bell service, concierge, bar - everyone appears to thoroughly love their roles and are looking to help you. Location is awesome. Rooms are stylish and chic with practical amenities (eg ‘fast’ USB charger ports on each side of the bed). So refreshing to stay in a hotel where everyone gets everything right. Will stay here the next time we’re in London for sure.

If I could give more than five stars I definitely would. We stayed here for our 10 year anniversary and what a pleasant surprise, our room was decorated with rose petals and a delicious dessert. The breakfast buffet was great, the almond croissant is to die for, beats the croissants I've had in Paris. The hospitality the staff showed was beyond measure. Would definitely stay here again next time we visit London.

Our stay was incredible. We stayed at Sofitel St. James for 3 nights and everything was so nice. Above and beyond anything we expected. We were celebrating our anniversary and they celebrated us so well - champagne, desserts, rose petals - the works! The staff was extremely kind throughout the entire property! Knowledgeable of the area & times of events, so helpful, & kind. The Rose Lounge, St. James Bar & Wild Honey Restaurant also had wonderful staff along with delicious meals. The property was centrally located to so many popular attractions. I would go back to London to stay here again. Thank you for making our 1st time to London extremely memorable.

Very nice hotel. Nothing much to complain everything was great. Amazing breakfast, you can order one course à la carte and you also have the buffet. Rooms are great and service excellent. Location is perfect.

Our room was always kept nice and clean. We looked forward to the extra snacks every day and the calming tea before bed. Because we visited in December, the hotel was warmly decorated for Christmas and there was warm hot chocolate available every night in the lobby. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful! The doorman (we forgot his name but he told us he lived close by Abbey Road) was very super nice and always had a big smile. Please thank him for us! Location was perfect and close to all the places we wanted to visit. We highly recommend this hotel!

This Hotel is the perfect balance of luxury, warmth, comfort, and incredible service. I stayed here with my partner as a day late Valentine's day stay and the Hotel made us feel welcomed and special. They left some lovely gifts for us on both occasions that we went out, making each return to the room exciting! I will absolutely be staying here again and I can't thank the staff enough.
