We had a quick pre show dinner and drinks. And then came back afterwards for drinks again. Pre show, the place was super packed. There was a 15 minute wait for drinks orders. The bar staff were completely overwhelmed. The queue was like during a football game halftime. Incidently there was the FA Cup final on TV. We had the burger, steak, crab salad and pizza. Overall the food is ok. A bit bland, to be honest. I put it down to the place and bar and kitchen just being super overwhelmed. But think it's not the firs time they face this, so can / should do better. Drinks took longer to come than food. And we got wrong order first, then the correct order. They they tried to charge us for the incorrect drinks as well. Was odd. The space overall is good, just need to sort out the service.

Lovely place for lunch. We didn't have a booking, but the place is so big it had a table available for us. The burger and bavette steak were really good quality, and so were the fries. Also I liked the fact they have a good choice of low alcohol beers.

Lastest Review After Revisiting Dial Arch (01/06/23) Upgraded: 3 to 5 stars We recently had the opportunity to revisit DA and had an entirely different experience compared to our previous visit. The previous time we went, it was incredibly busy, which unfortunately affected the quality of service and food. However, this time around, we were pleasantly surprised by the remarkable improvements in both aspects. The food was impeccable. The steak I ordered was now tender and expertly seasoned. But the chicken supreme dish and the lamb croquettes were really the highlight. Our server, Ollie, made the experience truly outstanding. He was attentive, I happened to have noticed he was glancing at our table every now and then, ensuring that all our needs were met, making us feel valued and well taken care of. Our recent experience highlighted the dedication of the staff in overcoming challenges. We look forward to returning in the future. ——- Updated Review (29/05/23) I recently had an opportunity to interact with Andre, the General Manager of Dial Arch. He reached out to me about my dining experience. I am thrilled to say that his response exceeded my expectations, and I am compelled to update my review accordingly. Andre explained the situation and showed genuine concern and was accommodating in addressing my feedback. It was evident that they were passionate about improving their food and operations to provide a better experience for their customers. While it didn’t change what I experienced when I visited the restaurant, I believe in acknowledging their efforts to investigate the issue and listen to customers. I am delighted to update my initial rating by an additional star. I look forward to visiting again soon and experiencing the positive changes firsthand. Updated Rating: 3 stars (from 2 stars) Best regards, Louis —————- Original Review: I recently visited this restaurant for a meal, and unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. I feel it is important to share my thoughts so that both the management and potential customers can be aware of the issues I encountered. First and foremost, the restaurant was super busy during my visit. While I understand that busy periods can be challenging, it seemed that the staff were overwhelmed and struggling to keep up. Regrettably, 2 of our orders were forgotten and delayed, which meant that everyone else at my table had already finished their meals by the time they arrived. This lack of attention and delay in service was quite frustrating. To make matters worse, the steak I ordered, while the doneness was correct, was disappointingly tough and chewy. It felt like I was attempting to consume a piece of rubber rather than a quality cut of meat. The lack of tenderness and flavor greatly detracted from my overall dining experience. Moreover, the restaurant seemed to be in disarray. The person who looked like the manager couldn't be bothered. Maybe due to being overworked and understaffed. It took us a while to get seated. The reservation system is useless. I honestly get better service in Nando’s than here. On a positive note, the staff members were friendly, despite their evident overwork. They were doing their best to handle the demanding workload, but it was clear that the restaurant was understaffed. I strongly suggest that the management reassess their staffing situation and training to ensure a better dining experience for their customers. Given the numerous shortcomings I experienced, I regret to say that I won't be returning to this restaurant for meals. However, if you're looking for a place to grab drinks, it might still be worth considering, as the atmosphere and beverages could potentially be more enjoyable than the dining experience. Overall, my visit to this restaurant was disappointing, largely due to the forgotten orders, delayed service, tough steak, and disorganized management. I hope this review serves as constructive feedback for the restaurant to make improvements in their operations and provide better experiences for their patrons.

Great place, easy to get to and reasonably priced and nice atmosphere. The whole menu is lovely. But what brings me back is their pie. I LOVE their pie. With buttery mash and beautiful flaky pastry not to mention the filling. 👌🏽👌🏽

Just ordered the “Whatever floats your goat” pizza and it was honestly one of the tastiest things I’ve had. They’re very generous with the portion and the customer service is pretty good. The chicken wings were alright. Sue was waiting on us and was extremely lovey. Overall a great experience and would definitely come here again. P.s: This place is pretty good for work, so get your laptop and enjoy the lovely ambience inside.

This venue is radically big. With a lot of seating space, both inside and outside l. It has a lot of character with its wooden/tiled flooring, angled full length mirrors and cosy seats. With plenty of plug sockets dotted around the place, you can easily charge up devices or work in your laptop. Situated opposite the New Elizaneth Lime on Woolwitch. Dial arch had a great choice of foods, and a wide range of alcoholic and soft drinks.

Apologies for the half eaten food… The food here is so good and the service is fantastic! I took my grandparents here and they absolutely loved it. I would definitely recommend anyone coming here with their friends/family. And if you have an animal to bring them as it’s a dog friendly place!!

Rather soulless large pub, with exceptionally dry chicken on an unremarkable roast. Service a bit slow, beer choice boring. Not for me, but a pleasant area to sit outside in the sunshine - and lots of tables both inside and out.

A great place to relax and unwind. Friendly staff and reasonable prices, I was pleasantly surprised. The seating is spacious and the pub itself is very airy and has a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. There is plenty of seating outside too. The toilets are A1, outstanding. Would highly recommend.

The Dial Arch benefits from being right next to the Elizabeth Line entrance in the more scenic area of Woolwich. The Dial Arch always does us proud. Good food, good beer and great service. We had a pizza (which was a tad over done) and deep fried brie wedges. With Apple crumble to finish which was spectacular, we would recommend. The drinks especially were a little on the pricey side however this easily is made up for by the premise which is beautiful and kept presentable with a homely, family orientated vibe. It also has extensive outdoor seating. The Dial Arch is well worth a visit If not to get a taste for the historic architecture but to while away a Sunday afternoon.

:( Sunday roast - £19-£21(?) We ordered pork belly roast x2 and rump of beef. All the meats were chewy and tough. Friend’s pork belly had a part that was almost rock solid and inedible. Roast potatoes were the worst. It looked and tasted like boiled potatoes but with a chewy tough skin. Friend didn’t eat his. I could only chew so much bland tough skin. Tbh I think the meat and roast potatoes definitely were not fresh. Definitely stale. Gravy and vegetables were the only good thing. Surprised how good the vegetables were. Wish there was more gravy to help with the potatoes. Service was slow. We received our menu and food fairly quickly altho we rather they spend a longer time on our food. They took a while to take our order; had to call them over. Had to get up and pay at the front of house, not sure if they take payments at the table as no one came even after I signalled. Considering the price of the food, I don’t think this was worth our money. Shame as we were excited to try this place since we moved to the area some months ago. May go again since we’re literally a few mins away but let’s see.

This was the perfect place to read and relax while my daughter and I awaited our entry time into The Burnt City, just down the block. The space is expansive. We were there late afernoon/early evening on a weekday, and it wasn't super busy, so we could take our pick of seating: indoors or outdoors, cozy nook or bright open area. We were looking for atmosphere and found it. *visited early August*

I reserved an area and hosted a surprise party - the staff were great, they allowed us to decorate and store the cake. Everyone was really friendly and the chap cleaning our section was very attentive. The food and drink were fantastic too.

Stayed at the PI over the road for a couple of days, Dial Arch is steps away. I want to move into this pub. Lovely lovely place. Bangers and mash is top notch (pic attached - big bangers and it’s a big plate, properly good), beer is good, bar staff are excellent (thanks Sue, you truly rock, give Paul a slap please 😀). Not cheap, but it’s london and the quality is here in spades.

Nice place. Beefburger was good, but a little bit expensive. Raspberry mojito was good. They have a lot of tables outside which is good.

A large place located inside the park in an old Beautiful building. There is cozy outdoor seating and plenty of seating inside, it is decorated very rustically and it is so cozy. They have a small range of ciders and a bit bigger range of beer but not that big and I think the prices were on the high end. The great thing is that dogs are allowed and you find water and I believe there was dog treats.

Had dinner here last night and the food was awesome. Definitely would recommend the chicken wings with blue cheese dip. Great atmosphere and ambience. The reason I give it a 4 star was because the toilets were disgusting, not kept clean or checked on regularly. I have been to cleaner public toilets.

Really good place to get some food before anything that's happening at Woolwich works. On the way from the station too so not a detour. There is a restaurant area and a bar depending on your mood. Best to book a table on Fridays and Saturdays as it can get a tad busy. Good range of beer, wine and awesome cocktail options. The food was really quick given as it was busy and the food was awesome too. The staff was very friendly as well.

Great atmosphere, decent selection of drinks, good food, and lots of seating indoors and out. Huge Sunday roasts!

Nice looking pub with a friendly atmosphere and staff. Food was a tad overpriced for what it was. Used the app to order (as suggested in house) not all draught beers we're listed. Toilets were a bit grubby.

I’ve been coming to Dial Arch for years, never got disappointed. Friendly staff and tasty food. Design of interior is amazing and atmosphere is nice too. Nice place to go on a date ;)

I moved to the area a month ago and I’ve already been here 4 times! Twice for food, and twice for drinks. I’ve ordered most things on the menu and every time I’m super satisfied with the portions, temperature and overall taste! I also met Sue this time around and she’s extremely lovely too. Looks like Dial Arch will be my regular weekend spot from here on out.
