A great location situated right on the river with an upstairs terrace decorated nicely. The food looked like it had come from a Michelin star chef and tasted like it too! Our evening was made by the friendly staff who went out their way to accommodate us and invite us back. Shall definitely be returning!

The Dove has landed and it was a pleasant surprise! We left a nearby pub/ pizza joint a tiny bit earlier, honestly feeling a bit hangry. The 'rules' for their OMFG pizza wasn't communicated to us clearly so we spent about two hours waiting for God's mercy. We were not served any food though we've been buying pints and pints. Feeling disappointed because of that bad experience, it's really wonderful for us to find the Dove. We were seated right away for a beautiful Sunday roast. Was it earth shattering good? It wasn't, but it's delightful and enjoyable. The waitress was courteous and prompt with the service. The food was beautifully presented and delectable. It was a pleasurable experience and we'll definitely recommend the Dove to our friends.

Really nice pub in a great setting on the banks of The Thames. Good selection of drinks and snacks. Only negative is that the bar is Cashless

A beautiful pub brimming with history. When I walked in the door the fire was burning and the smell of braised beef cottage pie was in the air. I had planned to go for dinner else where but stopped by for a drink and to see the Britannia sheet music. The atmosphere was wonderful and the menu looked great. I had the lamb which was delicious.

A local legend, a "proper" pub, with a strong claim to being the best pub in Hammersmith! Staff lovely, views of the river dreamy, food and drink delicious and all with a palpable sense of history.

Amazing place by the water. Great food, drinks and atmosphere. I always recommend this place when I come to London in the Hammersmith area. really wished I took pics of the fish and chips. make sure to go during good weather so that you can sit outside to enjoy the river and fresh breeze whilst planes land on runway 27 in Heathrow from above

Great pub by the Thames and tiny little entrance opens up into Edwardian era pub with a wonderful roof top terrace with views over the Thames and Hammersmith Bridge. Would certainly recommend a visit. We had drinks and starters to sustain our walk along the river.

Dropped in last night for a drink and some food. It was busy! Definitely need to book. I've been here quite a few times over the past couple of decades. Really lovely outdoor seating area with great views of the river. Cosy and traditional is how I'd describe the interior of this historic pub. Well worth a visit.

🚇 Ravenscourt Park 🍺 £7.25 Asahi ❤️ One of London’s favourite pubs. . The Dove is located in a secluded pathway on Upper Mall by the banks of the river Thames. The nearest Tube is Ravenscourt Park which is under a ten minute walk. . This historical Grade II listed pub was established as a coffee house by around 1740 and as a pub by 1793. The name of The Dove has remained unchanged except for a period when it became inadvertently "The Doves", following an error made my the sign writer in 1860, a minor change that lasted 90 years. The Dove is in The Guinness Book of Records for having the smallest bar in the world, at just over 3 square metres. . This cosy @fullers pub is full of old world charm and has essentially five different areas. As you walk in, you are straight in to the low ceilinged main bar area which has the servery on the right. To the right of the servery is the famous small bar which unfortunately was closed when we visited. As you head up a few wooden steps you arrive in to a atmospheric dining area, beyond that is the vine-entangled conservatory which then leads to a small terrace with wonderful views of the Thames. This pub has a village pub feel with its oak beams, sturdy fireplaces, rustic furniture and brass fixtures and fittings. . The Dove has an excellent beer selection which included four cask ales. I had a pint of Asahi, my pint was excellent but expensive at over seven quid. The menu offers a good choice of elevated traditional pub dishes plus roasts on a Sunday, Fish & Chips cost £18.50. . The atmosphere was relaxed, calm and welcoming on this sunny Saturday afternoon. When we arrived, the pub was busy in the main bar and on the back terrace. The crowd was a mix of locals and day trippers enjoying the historic surroundings. The service was good, we were served straightaway and the staff were courteous. . @the_dove_hammersmith is a classic duck-your-head heritage pub experience. The history, the old world charm and the overall sense of enjoying being here made this a very enjoyable visit indeed. This is a must visit London Pub. . ℹ️ Info correct on visiting 17.06.23

We had a reservation for sunday afternoon. Ordered roast beef as it was sunday and there is a nice choice of roasts on sunday menu. It was disappointing, especially vegetables - obviously reheated a couple of times as it had a really hard skin. Cauliflower was tasteles. Meat was chewy and two pieces of meat were differently cooked, one was rare, the other medium rare. The only good thing was the Yorkshire pudding, but not enough to justify the full price of the meal. On top of that, the ceiling (AC?) was leaking just besides our table. Really bad experience.

Monday night is the way to go if you want an intimate and cosy feel in this classic place. Would be awesome if we could order using qr codes, else I can see long ques during busy times. Some starters were a hit and miss. Didn't do any meals. Will def be here again to get the classic nostalgic feeling.

On a cold grey late November Sunday afternoon, when the high tide of the Thames mixes with the greasy mizzle of the overcast sky, The Dove beckons like a lighthouse on the riverside, it’s gold lettering a bright flash against the drabness of the day. Inside, all warm and wooden, warped with a hundred years and more of intemperance, fire gently hissing with pleasure. The beer is standard Fullers, but brewed no more than a mile distant, so excellent still, but unless you’re here to eat there’s precious little place to sit. So back outside to the riverside terrace, to embrace the view and sit not too long before onwards. #24 #29

Traditional pub with a modern twist. Nice balcony out back. A bit cramped, but they can't change that. Good food. Definitely not wheelchair accessible and no baby change facilities.

First thing to know is that they are very dog friendly throughout the bar and eating areas, thank you The Dove, our two Chihuahua’s felt very much at home. Sunday lunch was excellent and the beef tender and pink, the fresh horseradish was superb too. Great service and very friendly staff. Highly recommend this riverside pub.

One of my favourite pubs in west London. Excellent food (especially Sunday roast), very friendly staff, historic and cozy bar room, and beautiful views from the terrace all year round. Book a table for food in advance, it's well worth it.

Enter The Dove from a narrow alleyway and a cosy, beamed-ceiling, dark wood-panelled delight awaits you. The pub holds the Guinness World Record for the smallest bar room - proudly displayed on a sign on the right as you enter. This room (or snug) is, however, just one serving space within a larger, split level building. The outside areas are also on two levels and offer amazing views of the Thames. Fullers ales dominate (the brewery is close-by) and the food menu is excellent. One of many lovely pubs along the river but my personal favourite.

Really cool, old pub. Apparently a British song was penned here sometime in the 1700's. Went here for dinner on 18/2/20 with some locals. Had the duck confit (£15 / $19.43) For me, it desperately needed more seasoning. As well, I was dying for water the whole time as we got a bottle of tap but it was never refilled despite there were four of us at the table. Another member of our party wasn't a fan of his peas with his fish and chips. I wish I had switched entrees with him. Felt a bit pricey for what we ordered.

The Dove! Lovely Pub on the river in Hammersmith very cosy rooms and dehors. But...we visited on the hottest day in England. Rooms didn't have any sort of ventilation and although staff was totally friendly they were not even remotely trained. Confusion reigned at the till and around tables. Just to give you an idea for my Gazpacho I had to ask for a Spoon. Beer was all spilled over the table! And the food was just not aligned to what standards are . Plus... a glass of wine costs.... only 50 pence more than a beer !???? What's this? A joke? Beer is generally cheaper than wine like.... Much Cheaper. Food was a NoNo. The schnitzel was the size of my palm and watery, for 16 pounds not really acceptable. Gazpacho was ok-ish but the colour was orange and not red :) The Burrata was NOT a Burrata and slightly acidic. They told us they could have replaced it with a salad with "Grated" mozzarella. We underlined that Grated Mozzarella doesn't Exist. So again, yes for a drink on the river NO for everything else. Cheers!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting The Dove in Hammersmith, and I was blown away by the experience. The pub is located right on the banks of the River Thames, and it has a beautiful riverside terrace that is perfect for a sunny day. I tried the brisket burger, which was cooked to perfection and served with a generous portion of fries. The burger was also very reasonably priced. The beer selection at The Dove is also top-notch. I would highly recommend this pub to anyone looking for a great dining experience in Hammersmith.

Hidden jem! Cosy pub with welcoming staff. Great view on the river Thames from the terrace. If you are interested in history, this is a place to go. This pub is famous for giving inspiration to "Rule Britannia" author James Thompson.

Love this place. Located by the river in Hammersmith, it is the perfect little drinking hole on a cold winters night. Grab a beer or wine from the front bar - the smallest in London possibly - and sit by the open fire and defrost! Alternatively - pop into the back and sit by yet another fire and grab a delicious pub meal - and make sure you leave room for dessert!

Even at the end of a tough Friday shift, and faced with a couple of hyperactive drunkards.. the staff yesterday were very accommodating, friendly, pulling-together and working hard. I threatened to leave a review somewhere and here it is. I’m told by OCD girl that the place was spotless throughout, and constantly.

Super traditional pub in a fantastic riverside location but on my last visit was served the most lifeless, rank pint of Pride I have ever consumed (just) A great shame considering it's proximity to the brewery. I might just have been unlucky on this visit ☹

Fabulous traditional English Boozer. Excellent food. Take a look on the Brewery website as we found a 20% discount. Who knows this may be a regular offer. Wonderful, atmospheric, historic london pub on the banks of the Thames, serving real ale and food by friendly and amenable staff. Make sure you book if you want a table. There is an outside terrace but it's very prone to the vagaries of our weather and winds off the Thames.

I wanted to give 5 stars. However the food I ordered was one of the worst food I ever had. It was chicken schnitzel. I am not sure whetehr any butter used with chicken as it was smelling and tasting terribly bad. I really felt bad as this food was the highest charged on the menu. Though the service was exceptionally good , the food puts me off and I was not able to eat at all

This is a really nice Riverside pub. I did a pub crawl of Riverside pubs in this area and I definitely think this was the best one. The outside area was a little small but its not on the public path so it is more private then the other pubs around. The staff are really nice and the pub is very beautiful.

Lovely pub right on the river Thames with fabulous views. Lovely beer and what looked like (I didn't have any food on this visit) very good food; also very historic. I do have one complaint, which is, if you are over 30 and not American and sit in the front bar, you will be totally ignored (I was quite happy to sit there for several quiet pints) so I left and took my money elsewhere. Kind Regards!

Busy but nice. Used to be the smallest pub in London, at least that's what they claim, but it's definitely grown bigger than most average pubs. That said, the service is nice and plenty of drink choices. Menu seems good and variable too. I like the vibe and it's right next to the (plotted) river.

My favourite pub in the area, steeped in history, as well as the distinction of having the UK’s smallest bar room. Nothing beats having a pint of Guinness by their fire in the winter. Except perhaps sitting out on the terrace overlooking the Thames on a beautiful summer day. I’ve never eaten here but have heard great things. Friendly bartenders, beautiful interior and great beers.

Lovely pub, much bigger inside than looks on outside. Website menu has a good allergy filter so you can check before you go, I’m gluten free and they catered well for that. Food was delicious if a bit expensive for what it was, especially the vegetarian dish. Staff were lovely and very dog friendly.

Location? 💯 Atmosphere? 💯 Food quality? Beyond 💯 A bit pricey but they are amazing. Beer selection? Very limited, like only 5 taps? They could add more. Outdoor facility? They don't really provide heating outdoors. They have two heaters outside but somehow they usually keep one or both off on a freezing day. It's a big minus during cold seasons. Ironically, I had my skin burnt on a sunny day coz they don't have shades. It's a lovely historic pub overall but there are defo things to improve.

Wonderful venue with a great range if local, Fuller's, beers on cask and keg. The fish and chips was delightful after the Fuller's brewery tour. The split level mezzanine was great to sit on in the early September sunshine, watching the busy Hammersmith bridge. The Dove takes some finding from the brewery, but if you head toward the river and remain brave (keep walking past the other pubs, that you come to first) the Dove awaits. Do it. You won't regret it.

We experienced Sunday roast here and each ordered something different. We ordered and butternut squash, pork and beef. The vegan roast was surprisingly very tasty and portion was generous. The beef and pork were also delicious. The atmosphere of the pub is very nice. The staff are super friendly. We would visit again and sit outside when the weather is nice as the patio over looks the Thames River.

Beautifully located, traditional cozy enterieur, we loved this pub. I was there for dinner with two work colleagues, it was raining heavily but we were lucky to still get a table without a reservation. We were served a tasty and crispy Fish&Chips by a friendly and attentive waiter, actually the entire service crew was great. I'll definitely come back the next time when I am in Hammersmith.
