One word review "Splendid" Long winded - a gorgeous pub on one of Kensington's back streets. Floral arrangements on the front of the pub, spectacular. Spacious but intimate inside, well worn but smart. The staff are lovely and the beer is cold. Plenty of cask ales for those that want. Solid food for those that do. A thoroughly lovely pub, do pay a visit when you are close, you won't be disappointed.

Superb pub in Kensington. Cracking place that serves a wide variety of drinks. We didn’t stop for food but was looked great. Was busy on a Saturday night so make sure to book. They had plenty of events on so obviously a favourite for the locals!

This became our favorite pub in London. We ended up eating here three times. First on Valentines Day, a later dinner in the week, and lastly a proper Sunday Roast. The atmosphere and service are fantastic, while the food is not just perfectly cooked, but perfectly seasoned. I had my first steak and ale pie and it was incredible. I had it again another night. The Sunday Roast was exquisite and filling. The lamb roast was cooked better than we've ever had it in the states. Their quality meats really shine here. We will miss this pub and it has set the bar high for us throughout the UK.

Had the Sunday roast lamb shoulder, was tender and bits of fats. Delicious! Yorkshire pudding was pretty good too, flaky on the pastry with a slight chew on the inside. Also had some craft beers on tap. Wait staff were also attentive and patient. Enjoyed my Sunday lunch and looking forward to visiting again.

I took my family to Scarsdale Tavern for Sunday roast and it was delicious. Service was friendly and good and pub had a nice atmosphere. We all ordered the beef roast and we’re very happy with it!

Nice pub tucked away on a quiet road. There’s a nice area outside the pub. Staff are friendly enough. The food was decent.

This is your neighborhood pub where you feel like part of the family even on your first visit. I like the service and the sophisticated menu they have. It’s like fancy dining without the complication. It’s dog friendly and has amazing outdoors area. The only missing thing here is gluten free on the tap!

Have been here multiple times. It’s a nice pub hidden away for the bustle of High Street Kensington. Tucked away near my favourite square. Surrounded by greenery. Very nice during the summer but equally in the winter. The staff are friendly. We sat out on the occasion and had a lovely fish and chips. Would highly recommend

Absolutely lovely place. Great atmosphere for both drinks and a bite. Great food as well. Loved the sweet potato curry, thoroughly enjoyed the Bakewell tart my friend had and was amazed by the apple pie. A couple of good beers as well. Proper place

Really good, proper pork scratchings in a really nice local pub with outdoor seating. The roast was nice but the pork loin was a little dry.

This place has normal food and good service but great atmosphere. The perfect music for drinking a pint as well as the friendly staff makes this place a hot spot for a night out with the mates so i definitely recommend this place for any pub lover.

My visit to The Scarsdale Tavern in London was undoubtedly one of the highlights of my trip. Tucked away in Edwardes Square, this pub is a hidden gem, offering an authentic London pub experience that often goes unnoticed by tourists. The ambiance at The Scarsdale Tavern is cozy and welcoming, a perfect reflection of traditional British hospitality. Charming flowers adorn the pub, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. It's an ideal spot to meet friends or make new acquaintances, all while soaking in the quintessential London vibe. The food here is exceptional, with the Sunday roast truly standing out. I opted for the lamb, which was cooked to perfection, tender and bursting with flavor. The fish and chips, another classic, did not disappoint either, offering a crispy, golden batter and succulent fish. And for those seeking a hearty meal, the steak pie is an absolute must-try. A special mention must be made of their Bloody Marys, which were some of the best I've ever had. They perfectly complemented the meals and added an extra zest to the dining experience. What sets The Scarsdale Tavern apart is its location in a residential area, providing a peaceful escape from the bustling city streets. It's a place where you can unwind, enjoy a good book, and fully immerse yourself in the local culture. The Scarsdale Tavern is an incredible destination for anyone seeking an authentic London pub experience. With its cozy atmosphere, delectable food, and picturesque setting, it's truly a must-visit spot. I wholeheartedly give it 5 out of 5 stars!

Lovely quaint pub. Small so book early. Food great except the fish choice. Sea bream was half the size of a Ryvita and as thin. Staff apologised but said it wasn’t in their control. Staff superb.

I loved this place after our first visit so we thought why not spending our Sunday lunch here again. But we were left disappointed. We were blown away by their fall out of bone lamb leg the first time so of course we are going to order again. Not only did the cut have changed, the taste has as well. It is dried but fatty - I did not enjoyed it. However their Yorkshire pudding is still very yummy We also ordered two pints as we sat down and the staff was so kind to offer us a taster. There might have been an misunderstanding on what we want - the staff wrote down the wrong one. when it’s delivered by the other staff, we politely said that it’s not what we wanted only for him to tell us “well that’s whats written on my paper.” Of course he had to go check with the staff that made the order and after we confirmed it, she has gotten the right one. On our first visit, the staff (we believe she’s might be an owner) noticed that she got us the wrong one before even delivering it to our table, she go ahead and offer us the wrong one for free. Big difference on both times. Mistakes happens but the attitude makes a big difference.

We went to the Scarsdale for Sunday roast. The food was well prepared, but I’ve got a few criticisms; £6 for 4 pieces of long stemmed broccoli! You are having a laugh, the meat was perfectly tender, but au suggest it’s “lamb” days were long gone. It was tasty mutton. Very much NOT lamb, there was not enough veggies served with the meat. More cabbage and carrots please.

Nice place, food is nice, service a bit poor; Food arrived at different times, one dish received only after we notified them, and we took our plates to the bar after we finished ourselves.

We’ve enjoyed a lot! Great pub, super-nice and friendly staff. At first we sat inside near the fireplace where it was cozy and warm. Later on we went to sit outside so we could smoke where it was equally pleasant. Didn’t have main course, just a snack… the meat and cheese board (not something extraordinary / decent however) and the triple fried potatoes which were crunchy and tasteful. I would visit again.

Such a wonderful little Pub. I’ve been going for years now and the dining seems to be more popular. And no wonder, the food is fantastic!

A masterclass in how to run a 19th century pub in the 21st century! Great choice of beers and wines. Staff friendly and hardworking. The food is amazing; we had fillet steak- medium rare (cooked to perfection), shoulder of lamb and fish and chips, ingredients are clearly well sourced. Atmosphere, background music, decor also finely crafted to make our visits to this wonderful pub happy and memorable. 🍻🍷

Very busy Sunday afternoon and lucky to be given a table inside. Had the roast beef lunch, which was very nice but the potatoes could have been cooked better and the portions were a bit small. I think I had 3 small ones.

We were so lucky to have come across the Scarsdale Tavern on a day out to the Design museum nearby. The premise is cozy and well decorated, the staff and music gave off very cheerful and welcoming vibes and the food absolutely exceeded our expectations! I had the cod, my friends had the lamp shoulders and pie and none of us could be happier with the food we were served. Highly recommend!

🚇 High Street Kensington 🍺 £7.00 Asahi ❤️ A stunning Fullers pub located on a leafy square in upmarket Kensington. . The Scarsdale Tavern is located on tranquil Edwardes Square, I took a very pleasant ten minute walk from High Street Kensington station to get here. . This traditional Victorian pub has a beautiful exterior and a cosy patio around the entrance. The darkened interior is very easy on the eye and is full of old world charm with some elegant touches. I visited over Halloween weekend and unfortunately the bar was covered in faux cobwebs but I could still see the gorgeous etched windows, paintings and the gorgeous decor. The pub is set out in an L shape with a dining area at the rear of the bar. . This Fullers pub has a familiar beer lineup with four cask options available. I had a pint of Asahi which was great and I really enjoyed it, price point is premium but this was to be expected in this part of town. The food menu is full of hearty elevated pub classics, fish & chips cost £17.65. . I arrived just before 1pm on a Saturday and the pub was busy throughout. The atmosphere here was convivial and relaxed with a clientele of well healed locals, a couple of eccentric characters and a few tourists. I felt very welcome here and the team were polite and courteous. . The @scarsdalew8 has been on my must visit list for some time now and it didn’t disappoint. The price point is premium but so is the offering. This pub is full of old world charm and character which makes for an excellent pub experience. . ℹ️ Information correct on visiting 29/10/22

What a great find! Excellent food and very good service. Really cosy place inside. Would like to come again in future. The sticky toffee pudding was one of the best I’ve ever had, hands down.

This was one of the best meals of my short visit to London. The Sunday Roast was phenomenal; we had the lamb and the beef. So tender and flavourful. The beer was cold too, what a great Sunday lunch. On top of that, they have wonderful staff - everyone from the bar to the kitchen and in between. We were treated like family, and we arrived without a reservation. Thank you for accommodating us! I'll be back if I'm ever back in London for sure.

I love this place, located in High Street Kensington, they have amazing food, the staff are nice and welcoming, food is superb, went there twice and had Fish and Chips and some chicken with zucchini pie, both were amazing!

Lovely building - proper classic English pub - with good selection of real ales and other drinks. Food is excellent quality and reasonably priced, too. Only catch is that when we went for dinner, the staff were all rather terse and unfriendly - one chap was particularly rude.

Lovely hidden spot in the busy fancy area of London. Starting with a very nice welcome from the lovely staff, we had a wonderful lunch there. Classic British cuisine with vegan options too if you prefer something more healthy. Nice sitting area both inside and outside.

This pub is something really special. Hidden off the High St buzz it feels like a green sanctuary. Excellent food and drinks, a carefully curated selection of wines and the staff is just amazing.

Very good food! Not just pub food either. The burger was good as well as the lamb shoulder. Our waitress was super nice and funny. I think her tiara was a nice touch. The garden flowers along the fence and building would make it a really nice place to enjoy on a nice afternoon or evening. Would definitely go back.
