This is a hidden gem in the Thames River side. This old historic ferry had become a pub and restaurant since 1939. The place has an amazing view of the London Eye and Parliament House. If you are fancy with shooting nice photos, this is the place for it. The ambiance is very romantic and it is a great place for first dating.

Great place to enjoy London summertime by the Thames. The boat is opposite London Eye what makes it even more special. Drinks are reasonable priced and staff are friendly. The only negative were that we had a table and a area reserved until 5pm and at 1630 security asked us to move somewhere as the are were reserved for an event happening on the lower deck. I told the security we had our reservation until 5pm.....he did not like. But my friends had a great time and the weather was amazing.

After a full day of walking about London, we happened on Tattershall Castle and decided to stop in for a beverage. Being a Friday night, the place was bustling, but we managed to procure said beverages, find some seats and make some new friends in the process. What a lovely venue with fabulous views!

Visiting Tattershall Castle is a treat. The staff is very attentive and will do their best to cater to your needs, no matter how picky or unreasonable they are. They also offer great deals on drinks, which is always a plus. The environment is great and the decorations are beautiful. The food served in the restaurant was fantastic, with home-cooked flavor for those who are looking for a changeThe menu is reasonably priced and there is an ample selection to choose from. If you're in the mood for a lighter meal, try the homemade soup, which willl leave your taste buds singing. The staff is also very friendly and they make sure that every person who walks in is completely satisfied with their stay.

No reasonably priced parking options. Ended up about 0.8 miles away for £20. The boat itself was a decent place for a night out with different options. Pub, comedy, night club, etc. The food was good.

This is a great place to celebrate the New Years Eve in front of the London Eye. The food they served was good, you're given 6 chips for 6 glasses of champagne, they had a bar to buy other drinks and the party kept going til 3am on the lower level dance floor. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking to celebrate the New Years in London.

Cons: Don't eat here! Food (fish and chips) was tasteless. It is also served in a to-go box. Pros:I would only come back to have a drink in the boat with a beautiful view.

The best pub to drink whilst enjoying the most stunning postal card’s view of London! A great surprise and fair prices.

I enjoyed the Lamb Shank while sitting next to the window watching the activity on the Thames. The staff was very friendly. And a good value for the view as we saw the sun set and the lights come on!

I came here at 6pm on a Monday night. The ship looks like a really attractive venue to have lunch, dinner or drinks as it is right in front of the London eye and has plenty of views, and looks like a good spot. The top deck is beautiful but it was a little cold so we went below deck which is beautiful as well. The ship is very large for a restaurant and there are tons of tables, and a bar on every level. We sat by a window and it was a really nice view. We ended up only ordering drinks because we weren't super hungry, although I was very tempted because the menu looked great. We ordered two ciders which were very tasty! The waiter was very friendly and he checked on us several times, and when he saw me taking pictures he even gave me a little tour. The ship is beautiful and has a TON of history. I recommend reading up about the ship, but they also have plenty of photos and historical stuff hanging up on the walls too. I would definitely come back here and I recommend this restaurant to anyone, although I can not yet vouch for the quality of food, everything else is on point. Update- the bathroom was not clean, but that was the only downside I saw.

A hidden gem of London. Drinks on a boat at sunset is amazing. The location is great as it can't get more waterfront than this. Mulled Wine was the perfect drink too. Will definitely be visiting again and again as I think this is one of my new favourite spots

Food, drinks, and view were amazing, but our server Khaled made the experience one of the best my sister and I had while in London. His service was top-notch-perfect! Also, we are from the USA and he helped show us how to navigate the underground to find our way back to the flat. Life saver!

We went with some friends for NYE, and the evening was perfect from start to finish!! Service and canapés were outstanding!! I think the photos of the fireworks speak for themselves… definitely recommend!

The service here was very slow when we went, it took ages for our drinks to come, we actually got our fries first. The location is nice and the fries were what you would expect. If you get at all seasick i would not recommend as, with this bar being on the Thames it does move a little bit. It may have been an off day service wise, give it a try as it is a lovely place to sit when it is a sunny (and calm) day.

My favourite pub on the Thames. Yes it's expensive... But look where you are! It's reasonable considering that. The staff were excellent Massive shout out to Lucy who looked after my table of 34 guests for my birthday. Absolute legend. They called me 2 days later (thanks for letting the hangover subside) to collect feedback..... I LOVE feedback. Tattershall Castle can do no wrong. It means more to me than a Google review can express due to sentimental value. I'll be here again, and again, and again. And even though it was busy.... They still look after their punters. Thanks Tattershall!

Staff were friendly and well mannered and provided great service. The views are fantastic and a great place to relax and have a drink and take in the views!!

This place is more than just a bar to me, it's my favourite place to visit in London. This was one of the first bars I went to when I moved to London, I remember being blown away by the views over the Thames. Seeing Big Ben and the London Eye glowing in the moonlight. A friend showed the place to me after he attended a pirate party there a couple of years prior. I was new to London and it was a bit overwhelming at first, coming from a small town. The Tattershall Castle became a familiar place to visit and made me feel welcome. I had many a good night here and many a good after-work drink session. I had a first date here and now we are happily married. I had a joint 30th Birthday party here with my best friend. The last time I came here, it was with a close friend and I had the best fish and chips that I ever had, it was huge, filling and very tasty. I highly recommend it! I always recommend this place to people visiting London, although it's not really hidden, I do feel like it's a bit of a hidden gem!

I really like this place and usually take any visitors there for a drink. It has the best views of the London eye and big Ben, and you can experience it while having a drink.

The pub on the Thames. What a great experience after being on a river cruise. It was our friends 60th birthday so we were happy with the prices. Its a lovely venue opposite the London Eye in Westminster. Staff were very helpful. We highly recommend a visit.

It was…ok. For a tourist experience it was cool to be on the ship and look over the Thames and say you’ve been on the ship pub it’s worth it but for anything else, not so much. The bar lines are long, it’s crowded, if you sit on deck you’ll have to deal with cigar and cigarette smoke and someone is always hunting for you chair. I’m glad I went, great pictures, so if you haven’t gone, go. You’ll be able to say you’ve been there done that.

Khaled is an amazing server. The little details matter to us and when a window seat opened up, he came over and asked us if we’d like to move to it. That gesture made our dining experience even better. And the food was amazing. We’ll be back every time we visit London. Great date night.

There were issues with the booking. My friend had booked a table for his birthday but upon arrival we found that it unsuitable for the party. There were delays in serving the food which was basic quality. The waiters could hardly communicated. KeepSmiling 😊🌺

Great location for a function or party. I attended for a function. They had great vegan food and lots of options for drinks. Nice little change from going to a bar on land. Why not try a bar on water? Outdoor deck was superb with a really good DJ. Local train station is Embankment and is a 5 minute walk. Highly recommend.

The service was quick and friendly. The food was nice, typical pub food and not too pricey for London. The views of the London Eye, Thames and Parliament are amazing!

Fun place to have some beers and enjoy the river side on a boat pub. The food is not that good so I wouldn’t recommend any.

What better way to spend a sunny summer afternoon than messing about on the river?

  • 3/5 Thelma B. 2 years ago on Google
Was at Tattershall Castle for our first dance event since lockdown ended. Great afternoon/evening opposite the Wheel. Waving to tourists passing on the various boats going by. Saw food was available. Downstairs area available for afternoon tea and later for our event. Great day!

Spent a couple of hours in here on Saturday 31st July to kick start birthday celebrations. Staff were amazing in helping us change seats to outside when the sun was shining and quickly back inside when the downpour started. Staff were very friendly and attentive especially Anthony who went out of his way to help us. We only had drinks but will revisit soon to try the food. Thanks to the team there for a great time.

Only worth visiting if it is warm and sunny - as who doesn't want to sit on a boat deck on the Thames and enjoy the sunshine? Well, maybe my mum wouldn't want to. But most of us do. Drinks are fine, there was a Brewdog pale ale which sufficed for my craft desires - if you have no taste then you will definitely be happy. Downstairs is dingy - I had a roast dinner there a few years ago and it was dreadful.

Booked us a table for 20 at short notice on a hot afternoon, so five stars for that alone. One of the best places to have drinks in London if you want to be outside. Also has a fish & chip stand to help soak up the alcohol.

Lovely place to sit in the sunshine and enjoy a drink or two watching the world go by. The gentle rocking on the water can cause you to feel like you've had a few too many when you haven't, so not somewhere I'd recommend more than a couple of alcoholic drinks (that might just be me feeling it move more than others!), however you can happily enjoy a couple of hours here. Lovely friendly bar staff, door staff friendly too. Didn't eat but the food seemed to go down well, conveniently served in take away boxes. Very popular and you can see why.

Went to music event onTattershall Castle. Had to show negative covid lateral flow test . A great venue opposite London Eye ,great views . You can buy food on deck . Only thing we found that out round was always different price . Overall a great venue .

This is my favourite place just because I love the view of London Eye but I found the guy who was serving us a bit too annoying… There is really no need to come and ask if everything is fine every 5 mins. Let us enjoy in peace. I understand staff want to be polite and I appreciate but sometimes it is too much.

Always make a point to visit this place. Love the vibe and location. Look in the river and you may even see a seal. Just a grand place for a drink!

Visited several times before and the food and drinks are always good. I chose fish and chips with mushy peas, lovely batter onghe fish, not soggy at all. Lumi was our waiter and he was very attentive and polite. Very nice glass of Pinot Grigo served chilled. Good toilets.

Great pub/bar on the Thames. Went with a friend for NYE as a last min plan for something to do and had a great night. Friendly staff and security made sure the night went without a hitch. Great selection of drinks, various rooms available & a stunning view of the Thames/london Eye - something that sets it apart from other indoor clubs. Overall had a great time, will definitely be back. Thanks for a wonderful night Tattershall Team!

Walked in on Thursday evening and got a table instantly- which was such a pleasant surprise! There is no cover charge and prices were pretty standard to any other pub. The fact that you're on a ship opposite the London Eye was pretty amazing. Nice place to grab a few pints with your folks. Food was average but hey i didn't come here for the food :) I'd definitely get my visiting friends and family here for the experience.

Great location for a pub grab, I haven't been on this boat bar for ages but its definitely improved. Window tables to be booked ahead.

Nice place to spend a summer evening. Nice views of the London Eye and the Thames with some music and a great atmosphere. The food menu is not huge but big enough for when your out having a few drinks and relaxing. Would come back again on a nice evening.

Brilliant views of the London eye and big Ben too, basically a converted boat right on the river.. a bit pricey, even by London standards but you are paying for the view. Walking distance fro Leicester Square and other attractions so a good place to stop for a drink with a view.

We came in for the Tipsy Tea experience for apart of our honeymoon. Greeted by the Khaled who was a delight to have the whole service and made the experience wonderful. Checked on us multiple times and made us feel so welcomed. The food, drinks, and experience were amazing especially with the view. I hope to someday come back and do again next visit to London! Recommend to anyone looking to experience Afternoon Tea ☺️
