Metal bars are a rarity and this one is a gem. Went there for a free entry , 3 bands gig, good sound, 5 quid for Amstel, 6.7 for IPA. Good service, apart from occasional big ego small pp bouncer. He almost didnt let me back in when i saw my mate out, then he chucked out elderly dude what was bit annoying. Other than that it's a lovely joint and busy with locals, with an outside smokingg area, plenty of good food places around. Highly recommend for any metal fan. Long Live Camden ❤

Nice pub located in the heart of Camden. Wide range of drinks. Heavy rock feel. Toilets were revolting and disgusting.

This has to be one of the most unique Pubs in London, the building is Mock Tudor and it looks Sick, you can imagine DickTurpin could pull up in a horse at any moment. The inside is a feast for the eyes aged posters cover the ceiling and the walls are covered in memorabilia and just stuff, lots of stuff. The music 🎵 most times is heavy metal or Rock, this place located on the corner of Kentish Town road and Hawley crescent and is only about five minutes walk from Camden Town station. The bar is fully packed with enough variation the suit almost everyone and the interesting thing about the drinks range is that this pub is one of the only ones to sell monster energy. The atmosphere in this pub is definitely unique and will be a completely different experience to all the surrounding pubs in the area. On my visits I’ve always found the staff to be amazing and they fit the vibe of the place so the continuity continues even behind the bar. There is a stage for live performances but I must admit I’ve not seen a live show on any of my visits so I can’t comment on that. All I can say is it’s a must visit when you come to Camden.

Probably the best metal bar in London. Expect heavy music, live bands, late nights, and great people. The Dev is the beating heart of Camden.

Great rock pub with excellent prices for the area at £5.50 for an Amstel and £4.50 for a medium house red. Good heavy metal soundtrack.

Classic dark metal pub synonymous with Camden, decent beers on tap and normally some good music on the stereo, great for live bands and just a good rock vibe. Unfortunately in several experiences the guy behind the bar lets this place down, very blunt and generally unfriendly which can spoil what should be the perfect place for rock/metal enthusiasts

The"food" in my case was mostly alcohol, things to think about, and things to listen to. The bar staff I met were good natured and kind to me even though it was last call and it was my first time at the establishment. One person was bottle blonde and one was from Brazil I think. I asked for a beer and they were happy to oblige. It was like the feeling you get when someone picks you up after you fall in the mosh pit, without the mosh pit, or the falling, but with a similar soundtrack. I was also shocked to see tables cleaned at the end of the night and the bathrooms cleaned up. I'd definitely come again.

Typical pub with the differential of having music. The beer selection is varied, and they were well served. The live music was very good.

This is a proper metal pub in Camden-London. I saw several amazing bands that really banged my head! Awesome place for people into metal!

Very rude bartender (blonde girl with a lot of makeup). Asked her if they have Camden hells she said they don’t, asked her if they have any lagers she said they have plenty of lagers and once I know which one I want I should come back (and she just walked off). So I left - nice place visually but the staff seems not welcoming to new people and tries to keep it “locals only” so it gives some elitists vibes.

Went there for a pint, returned a lot of times after that. The place has some of the best beers and cider that I have tasted in the area, prices are really good. Music is excellent I would like more Black Metal and old school Death Metal though! Till the next time!

Returning to a metal bar after more than two years due to the lockdowns etc, it was a big relief to be back in this environment, and not just any bar, but London's Devonshire Arms, where they played a nice variety of heavy music, great place to socialize with people.

I was able to go to a local gig they put on the show was great, the bar members were really friendly and staff were welcoming excluding one guy who definitely overcharged me for two shots and two drinks it was over £30 was pretty sure this was a mistake as everything else was reasonably priced but I didn't question it. Other than that likely an error majority of other drinks and staff were lovely and quick service.

If you like your heavier music and drinking, look no further! This is one of the best rock /metal pubs I've ever been to. I've only just discovered this place but will 100% be coming back 🤘

Cool posters, but you will barely listen rock music. More like a metal bar with full of metalheads. Mostly old men are vibing so it was not my thing.

Who doesn't love a pint of Guinness with a pentagram on the head? Great tunes, great service, well priced drinks. A must for alternative genre tourists and visitors.

In the heart of Camden Town lies this sanctuary for metalheads—a realm where the symphony of thunderous metal reigns supreme. This metal pub pulsates with relentless rhythms, teeming with fellow metal enthusiasts.Almost every day, live bands unleash their sonic fury, and the gates open wide, welcoming all who seek refuge. Here, camaraderie thrives, and guardians ensure our safety—swiftly expelling any disturbance ,those who decry the sentinels likely court chaos, be it inebriated, too naive, or craving conflict before crossing the pubs threshold.

Great bar. Yes it's a rock bar, but don't let that put you off. The staff are brilliant and there's a great range of drinks on hand too. They do have live bands play in there throughout the year

Super nice bar located within the chaos of Camden. It's even better if you enjoy metal and similar music. But if you don't, it's still a great pub but no food. The people you meet here are always nice.

This place is great! Good music (if you like metal), cool environment, and seems to be a pretty chill local crowd. Also, the bartender poured my Guinness with a latte art pentagram, which is a metal bar first for me. 🤘

What A Night I had following a group around the country. the bar is nice and sounds good for bands. The price of ale in the capital is a rip-off in general. Nice aesthetic And Good Staff Behind the bar... All round Nice place to visit.

Classical trash metal bar. Music in accordance with the aesthetic of its regulars but in low volume. Variety of beers. Kind bartender. Good place.
