Great pub in perfect location just 1 minute form Oxford Street station and The London Palladium. I visited Argyll Arms many times, and if I happen to be around in central London, I always come in for a couple of drinks and delicious food. The moment you enter the building you get introduced to cozy and welcoming atmosphere. They also have dining room upstairs if you prefer that. The selection of beer, ales and spirits is impressive, and it may take some time to decide. However, if you’re not sure what to get, the bar staff will navigate and narrow down the options just for you. In addition to that, the attitude of bar staff is splendid. Quick service, smiling and welcoming, teamwork. Sometimes it’s just appealing to see them work. If you’re not sure what to get in terms of food, my personal favorites are burgers, fish and chips, pies and steaks. If you want something to share, a perfect option would be Landlord’s platter or fish platter. A special thanks to people who run, manage and work at this place as it is always in perfect condition. Tables are wiped, bar area is organized and clean, toilets are looked after. So, if you’re not sure where to start in central London, this is the perfect place.

Beautiful building with loads of etched glass and woodwork. Great to watch the melee of Oxford Circus. Staff need a bit more training though.

A very nice pub. The draught line-up is decent, with about five rotating real ales to complement the standard macros. The decor is lovely with highly ornate, dark woodwork. There is an outdoor seating area to aid any overflow at the bar. There is a substantial menu but I did not eat anything during my visit. Will certainly return to see what is on tap.

Lovely old-timey pub in a great location on the corner of Oxford Street/ Regent Street. We were seated upstairs in their restaurant. The food was great, as were the drinks. We had a couple of issues - but this was mainly down to there only being one person upstairs when there were suppose to be two. The person who did serve us, etc was great.

A traditional pub with a nice atmosphere, nice staff and great food. Downstairs was busy in the bar however upstairs was much quieter in the area where food is served. A wide selection of food and drink with reasonable prices for central London and the quality of food.

We went to this place a couple of times. We did not have a reservation however we they found a table for us. The waitress who was a young lady at the bar was really kind and helpful and the food was good. The second time we were put at the bar and it was rather uncomfortable to eat the meal. And the staff who escorted us in did not bother to take our order, and even the lady with short hair who was at the bar was not so cheerful. They don't smile at all. It is sad as the food is good. Update: After 3 months we decided to give it another chance because the food was good. However, we didn't receive any service at all and the staff was completely dismissive of our presence and continued to chat amongst themselves. We walked out.

Good pub to be entertained by employees fighting behind the counter. Better than MMA show ! Loved it 💥🔥🔥 Let me know next time you do a show I’ll pay extra to watch the fight ! 😁

I've eaten here before and it was wonderful. This time not so good, In fairness, Julian Clary was on across the street and everyone came in to eat before the show - so hopefully this is a one off. Our pies were dry and veggies were overcooked, but last time here everything was delicious. The pub itself is lovely, on a very nice street. The staff were very friendly and attentive even though they were rushed off their feet. Will return on a slower night and hopefully it will have returned to it's usual quality.

A beautiful place to recover from an extensive stroll through the city. A really beautiful outdoor area that invites you to relax. As is now the case everywhere in London, self-service. The toilets were tidy and clean.

Happen to be passing and wanted a quick drink. What a lovely oldy worldly pub! Clean, cosy with so much character. We only had drinks but next time we're in London we'll be coming back for food. Toilets were immaculate (the devil is in the detail keep it up!)

The Argyll Arms is a traditional British pub located in the heart of Soho, London. It is a Grade II listed building that dates back to the 18th century. The pub has a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, with wooden floors, exposed brickwork, and a large fireplace. The staff are friendly and attentive, and the service is excellent. The Argyll Arms is a great place to go for a pint of real ale or a glass of wine. They have a wide selection of drinks on tap, including several guest ales. The food is also very good, with a menu of classic pub dishes such as fish and chips, burgers, and bangers and mash. The Argyll Arms is a popular spot for both locals and tourists. It is a great place to relax and enjoy a drink with friends or family. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a traditional British pub experience. Here are some additional details that you could include in your review: The pub is located in a great location, just a short walk from Oxford Street and Regent Street. It is a popular spot for live music, with bands playing most nights of the week. The pub has a large beer garden, which is perfect for enjoying a drink on a sunny day. They offer a variety of food deals, including a two-for-one burger offer on Mondays. Overall, The Argyll Arms is a great pub with a lot to offer. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a traditional British pub experience.

During our New Year’s trip to London, we decided to savor the true taste of fish and chips, and our search led us to this charming establishment. Fortunately, they had an available table, and we were delighted by the exceptional service and delectable cuisine. The portions were generous, making our experience even more satisfying!

The pub was really lovely. Food was delicious. Our server Chris was excellent. Attentive but not intrusive. Observant too as he noticed I took sugar in my coffee and put this in my second cup before he brought it to me. He served the entire dining room on his own and is a real credit to the venue. We will definitely come back. It was absolutely excellent.

This place is fantastic!!! We ate dinner there and had a fantastic traditional British meal! Our server Chris made it a great experience. He had great suggestions for the food and new the menu well! We ate the fish & chips, steak pies, and the wild boar pie. All were delicious. Highly recommend this place.

Have eaten at the Argyll Arms several times before and the service has always been very good. Unfortunately, this time was not good. We ordered our starter and main courses and just when we were expecting our starters to arrive, we were told that due to a mix up, our main courses were ready first. We declined the somewhat strange offer of having our starter afterwards and proceeded to eat our main course. In fairness, the staff were very apologetic and polite and I was happy to accept that we all make mistakes. I wasn't so happy to notice later however that we had been billed a service charge. I do feel the experience was was well below our expectations.

Arrived for food before theatre trip. Lovely venue, impressed table service was on offer. Chris, our waiter was brilliant. He had a real calmness about him, was there every time we wanted anything and served the whole room with ease and a gentle manner, even when it got busy. Really impressed, he really enhanced our visit. Food was good pub grub and drinks yum. Happily be back, thanks Chris 😊

My husband and I came to London on our honeymoon, and we stopped by The Argyll Arms for pies. My family hails from northern England and my mom mom used to make all sorts of British dishes. The crust on the pies were spectacular and honestly, the closest I could ever get to her pies. Our server Chris, suggested numerous pies to us. He was very sweet and kind throughout our entire service. If you’re looking for a great place to dine, definitely stop by here.

Lovely little pub with delicious food. Had the steak and ale pie and it was absolutely delicious.

I went here before going to the theatre. I had the lamb shank shepherd's pie for my main, and it was really nice. Lots of meat and veg in it, with a lovely, herby mash on top and nice gravy to pour over. I had the caramel torte for dessert, which was delicious. Food, decor and ambience I would give 5 stars, but the service could have been better. It was very slow, due to there only being one waitress most of the time dealing with several tables, as the place was quite busy. She seemed to only be getting occasional help from other waiting staff. The waitress was lovely though, and she was trying her best, even though she was clearly rushed off her feet. If they hadn't have been so short staffed, it would've been 5 stars.

Only ate the Nachos and worst we've ever had. 3 shared and all agreed. Cheese was yellow, tasteless slop. The salsa also tasteless with no spice and VERY sweet. Pub otherwise is very iconic and good for a pint.

I really loved the atmosphere of an typical old english Pub. The waitresses and waiters are very friendly and handsome, they serve very good beer and have very tasty Fish and Chips in their menu. Will definitely come back to eat and drink here.

A charming place, really beautiful, but the music is horrible (a bad radio wouldn't do better...) too loud... Which spoils the fun of the place...

What a fantastic meal I had at the Argyll Arms this afternoon! The food was amazing and so was the service. I was served by a lovely lady with a smile who I believe was the dining room manager today. She had everything under control and looked after us very well, nothing was too much trouble. An asset to your company when great customer service really does make a difference! All in all, great food and a great experience. Will definitely dine again.

After a very long morning of shopping and sightseeing it was time for lunch. We ended in this beautiful pub. Downstairs was beautiful but a bit noisy for so headed upstairs. Beautiful and quite, perfect. Our waiter ,Chris was exceptional. We had fish and chips and our youngest had the lambshanck shepherd pie. By the way Chris went our of his way to charged my youngest phone. Thank you.

A very attractive old pub dating to the first half of the 18th century. Just up from the London Palladium. Obviously you pay a premium for the area but well worth a visit.

Nice pub located on Oxford Circus...love the chandeliers inside. The place looks very posh. Fine meal as well. Love the staircase.

This is a nice pub with a fantastic interior and lots of old design to admire. It’s larger than you’d think from the outside with some big tables at the rear for groups. There’s a small number of tables on the pavement at the front too. The two bar areas inside have fast service and the staff are friendly. Prices aren’t unreasonable for the location and there’s a good atmosphere throughout. Certainly somewhere I’ll be returning!

I got dropped here whilst oh went shopping. As it was before 12 on a Sunday, couldn’t get a beer so opted for coffee. Quiet this time of morning!

My friend and I had a meal at Argyll Arms before going to the Panto at the Palladium. We had a table in the restaurant by the fireplace. The staff were extremely polite and the service was excellent. The food was well presented and tasted wonderful. I can recommend the salmon and dill fish cakes. It is a beautiful establishment and will definitely be going back.

Tiny little lady behind the bar was so sweet, great selection of whisky for this time of year. Saw someone eating a fish and chips, looked lush to be fair although I didn't have anything myself. Very old building, nice and traditional pub

It was very busy but your staff were doing a great job of managing the rush of people, we had to wait a few minutes for our pre booked table but your staff were very apologetic as they were waiting for existing customers to pay. Once we sat down the service was excellent apologies were made as one or two dishes had sold out. The food arrived quickly and was delicious, we have used this bar many times and have never been disappointed.
