It is said that ...."We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.”....this holds true for the staff at The Blind Spot. You can't find better people that make you feel welcome than this fine group of professionals. They are all amazing. Stand outs include the fantastic and beautiful Annalise, the attentive and personable Daniel, the helpful and enthusiastic Esteban, the terrific and wonderful Roxanna & Clavision. The entire staff is a well oiled machine that truly cares about their clients as well as the experience they are responsible for delivering. One of the best groups that I have ever experienced. By the way the food, drinks and atmosphere are awesome as well. The next time I'm in town, I will definitely return!

A sophisticated, stylish lounge with solid cocktails some of the best bar snacks I've ever had. Yes, it's another one of those "secret" bars. (It's not a secret, really. The doorman asks you straight up if you're looking for Blind Spot.) If you're not sure, just go into the hotel and straight ahead in the alcove with all the bottles on the wall, there will be a really nice doorman. He's super nice, which is so refreshing in a city stuffed full of pretentious, control-freak security guards. The bar itself is dimly lit. The vibe is very refined and classy yet still casual and relaxed enough that it stays firmly in the unpretentious side of cocktail lounges. There's a mix of clientele from artists, to theatre goers, to finance bros and lawyers, to well-off young millennials. It's not a place for sportswear, raucous hen parties, or a filthy lad's night out. It has standards, especially as it is inside a 5-star luxury hotel. Music is from a live DJ, and when we visited, he was spinning some serious Tulum vibes, which I love. The vibe is A+. Prices are reasonable, considering the venue and location -- and the proper quality of the drinks. Very well-balanced, and enough punch that you can actually feel the booze after 1 or 2 (rare in London). The bar snacks were... a revelation? Not sure how else to put it. Maybe we were just starving but they were hands down the most delicious snacks we've ever had at any bar. There were a few weaker ones (the duck confit croquettes come to mind). But the okra is to die for! Chicken bites, frites, sprats... all good. Service was good, but a little spotty at times. But when they were attentive, they were super helpful finding us the best cocktail for our tastes and providing custom ones as well! It's definitely a bar to check out if you like legit good drinks and awesome snacks to go along with them. It was such a delightful experience that we strongly considered returning again the next night. We will be back when in town again.

Great cocktail bar with some very different cocktails. We really enjoyed our experience and the vibe of the venue overall. Even though we didn't have a reservation we were lucky they were so accommodating since we were staying in the hotel. The staff was very nice and attentive and the music was a great variety that was very enjoyable to listen to while chatting.

Very very good experience. Definitely a hole in the wall with nice music and dimmed lighting. Recommend family and friend gatherings after a tough day of work. Furthermore recommend this as a first date hot spot. Truly special cocktails! Namely Kyoto was fantastic and creative.

What a brilliant place to spend a evening! The drinks were overwhelmingly good and the ambiance was great. Our server took all the efforts and did not disappoint us at all. Although the food was little late but Ruchi managed things well! Hoping to spend such amazing evening here soon!

Excellent speakeasy bar in Soho - Convent Garden. Located inside St Martin's Hotel,. It's a short walk from Leicester Square station. Very modern design, nice and easy menu selection.

What a delightful place! Blind Spot is located in St Martin's Lane Hotel, via a "secret" entrance inside. Once you enter, it's got like an exclusive, speakeasy vibe. Stylish, chic...cosy and intimate. Away from the hustle bustle of the West End. Very professional service from start to finish and delicious Pisco Sours. Bonus - Martin Miller's Westbourne Gin, order a Clover Club with it! 🍸

Nice intimate place with lovely staff and inventive choice of cocktails and their names. Had a great time with my girlfriends but might be better for a date. Music on Tuesdays-pop rhythm and blues acts and 80s 90s R&B Reggaeton and House Music on Friday’s and Saturday’s.

Incredible vibe. Cleverson's team is very thoughtful and accomdating. Iulianna, our server, was top-notch- personable and fast, even on a busy Saturday.

Delectable menu full of fun and exciting cocktail choices! Mood lighting for those who don't need to be seen, but a seating plan that invites groups to be gazed upon. Quality service from the moment you arrive. Not a lot more you can ask for!

Great vibe and lovely staff! Cocktails are all around 15/16 which is standard for London and all food was very reasonably priced around £8 each for such great portions. Went on NYE, it was my friends birthday and they even bought a cake and sang happy birthday for her! Such a lovely place and super relaxed, will def return.

Booked for a group on a Friday night. They were clearly stretched for staff because it was difficult to make an order for cocktails: no one approached us to ask if we wanted to order drinks or food. We had to vie to get attention and even when we asked about food the waiting staff were fairly dismissive. We also asked for tap water, which was offered when we ordered booze, but it never arrived. Eventually one person who was very thirsty went to the bar to get water and our waiter told her to go back to her seat and wait; thankfully, the bartender did offer her some water from a jug. The cocktail menu is positively creative, featuring spirits from cities around the world. However, the end results did not really seem to do the concept justice. I ordered an off-piste Bloody Mary and can confidently say it was the worst example I'd experienced, including airline efforts. Our group had a restaurant reservation, meaning we had just under one and a half hours there in total. We struggled to get two rounds in because the service was so sloppy. Two stars? At least the reception staff were helpful and I want to be kind.

Very cool place, and they serve great drinks here. Big shout out to Cleverson who, without being asked, picked up that it was my partner's birthday and made a very special gesture for us. Fantastic attention. Thanks so much - it really made our evening! <3

One of the best places in London for me. It is a cozy place, very pleasant with exceptional service. In particular for the service from Joao Paulo and Cleverson. I recommend the penicillin drink, my favorite from now on.

This is a very good cocktail bar with amazing cocktails. Great service, everyone was very attentive. From the management (cleverson) to the waiter (Esteban) all very professional and friendly. Good place to go with friends or for a date. Cocktails taste very good. Definitely will come back again.

Great venue for music, however all of the drinks we got were terrible, none of them were enjoyable. Service is extremely slow, we had to chase people to take our drink order. It’s a real shame that despite an amazing ambience and DJ set music the drinks and service are awful.

Would give 6 stars if I could. The operator (sorry I forgot her name) deserves a special mention. We were running incredibly late and I had called in several times to explain the situation and she was very nice and understanding. Although they had to give my table away she had put in a word to the hostess of the bar to let her know we were still coming. Top notch customer service. As usual their drinks are delicious and creative. They might need a few more staff at the bar during peak times but overall we always have a good time here!

cute speakeasy in Covent lawn. right cocktails, notable food/small plates (mainly the fried brie with crimson wine discount). beneficial staff. a piece high-priced, however it's London, so... good sized whisky menu.

A little bit on the pricier side relative to where I normally am from, but in line with London pricing. It's a great bar, fantastic service and great options

I was so excited to try this out for my birthday but it was really kind of a buzzkill. The cocktails were good but the service was really flat and the place was mostly empty. You felt like you were in an empty hotel lobby with slow, bad music. Maybe it's really great when busy and with more engaged staff but I wasn't impressed. It's expensive for no ambiance/slow - low energy service.

What a deliciously intimate and inviting space. Hard to spot from the outside and not for the inexperienced or rowdy, Blind Spot is the perfect, well, blind spot for a quiet drink between up to 4 friends. That’s not a limit they impose, but you’d really detract from your experience by going above. Knowledgable and kind staff, with perfectly balanced drinks. Get the cosmo and lean back to the gentle DJ.

Great cocktail bar, I love their “London” - first time drinking gin out of a tea cup.. the music is a bit loud and if they could fix that then it’d be perfect.

  • 3/5 AF 2 years ago on Google
For how expensive this place is, you’d expect better service. The two gentlemen by the door are lovely and polite. The servers however need an attitude adjustment. Nice cocktails but I wouldn’t go again for that service.

Unexpected gem. Dropped by this charming bar for a quick drink and it turned out to be a calm oasis away from the bustle of the street! Cocktails were lovely (with a very decent non alcoholic selection too!) and great staff who looked after us well. Will definitely be back.

Nice speak easy and a nice spot to enjoy a great cocktail with a live DJ. It was nice catching up with my friends and the server was so fun to interact with. I recommend that you book ahead of time.

We had a great time in this bar. A wide variety of cocktails to choose. The service was very good. The waiter that served us (I think his name is Jonathan if I heard that right) was very helpful.

Our server, Iuliana, was outstanding. She was kind, helpful and very knowledgeable of the menu selection. As far as Speakeasy's go, it was very trendy and nice. It seemed more like a nice bar that was not easy to find. Great drink selection, music and ambiance were good. But, not the "forbidden" bar from prohibition that comes with a Speakeasy style. I would recommend it. Just don't expect the 1920's style speakeasy

Beautiful surroundings in which to have a drink with friends or impress that special someone. Mixed crowd, couldn't quite put my finger on a specific type. Great service, though a bit slow on the finger food. Speaking of food, the octopus tasted like it had been grilled over the hob cooker - . Couple that with a very small portion size, i.e. 3 slices equating to half a tentacle; and there's a dish I won't be ordering again. Also, not impressed the toilets on the hotel itself - st Martin's Lane Hotel, please take note. It needs regular cleaning, some hand cream and perhaps a small refurb? Overall, with so much on offer at this level I can't see myself returning any time soon.

Wonderful hidden gem. Drink selection is unique and wonderfully presented. Drinks are roughly £14 each, so not cheap, but so well thought out and presented and all the ones we tried were fantastic. They really know what they are doing, I will be returning.

We found a hidden gem here! Amazing bar inside the hotel with very tasty cocktails inspired in different places around the world. I thought it would be a busy place but it was quite calm. Service is outstanding and prices are decent. A big shout out to the DJ! I really loved the music, I believe it was very appropriate as matched perfectly with the atmosphere there. I totally recommend this place, specially if you want to surprise your date ;)

Nice cosy bar. Hidden. Great place to have a date or nice catch up. Pricey cocktails. I tried Indian themed cocktail. Not my favourite. My friend tried polish one. Good but not jumping with joy. Great service. Might return to try other cocktails - perhaps classic than the country theme. Love the atmosphere.
