Great Food/Drink and excellent value, what's not to like about Wetherspoons. I had the gourmet steak which was really delicious and tender, service was good and I always use the App to pay and get brought to my table.

Shocking service, food arrived an hour late We watched the bacon burger sit on the hot plate for 35 minutes. No apologies from one of the waitresses of how late the food was. Food was cold, steaks were both over cooked. The only hot thing on one of the plates was the salad. We love weather spoons usually, but this one is just shocking.

Had excellent drinks in this Wetherspoon pub. Rather dimly lit and dowdy looking interior. Had lunch there which more or less comes with a drink for a price you can’t beat. Everyone’s food was fine

I don't review often. The whole place felt grubby and the food was terrible. I had pasta Alfredo which I've had many times before in other whetherspoons and usually really enjoy but this tasted funny and was a weird texture. Not to mention the fact it was tiny!

Can't say I like their system. You place your order at the bar, so make sure you know your table number. However, they will bring the food to your table. If you order a hot drink, you'll get an empty mug and you will have to help yourself at the machine. We had their fish and chips. I had the small version but it was enough for me. The fish is quite good, very crispy and tender inside. Price is very reasonable, which probably explains why they were quite busy.

For those craving a vibrant and lively atmosphere, The Gate Clock is a perfect choice. With upbeat music, arcade games, and great service, it's an ideal spot to enjoy with friends. The two floors offer ample space, but privacy seekers might want to look elsewhere. Located in Cutty Sark, it's conveniently placed for a post-tour gathering. Consider checking out the Up the Creek Comedy Club nearby for an added dose of entertainment. Having frequented this bar multiple times, it consistently delivers a fun experience, making it a go-to destination for social outings with loved ones. Cheers to good times and lively vibes! 🎉🍻

This was one of the worst weatherspoons i have been too. I might have just been there on a bad/busy day, but the food was not up to scratch. The food was served with sauce that was litteraly still frozen, who serves frozen sauce? The reason it's not 1, is because the service was not bad and the staff were trying thier best. All orders came to us in good time and nothing was a miss. It is in a great location, but the inside just feels quite run down and old. I would visit again with the hopes of it being better next time

Really bad experience this time, I'm not sure I'll try again. We came in, nobody receive us at the door. A table was free but it was absolutely dirty. We had to ask the waitress to clean it. No pizzas were available even if they offered it outside. That, plus the bad mood of the employees made us go away.

I had a round of delicious fish and chips - a size to keep everyone full... perfect for me to taste before choosing beer... Well visited place and I understand why..... Fast and efficient runner who quickly got served and continuously cleared the table 4 start atmosphere, cause of a noisy/snarling kid (maybe they should go home)

This spoons, is a gem of South East London. Great place for students studying in Goldsmiths, Greenwich campus uni's and tourist in this particular part of historical London. This Spoons has generous space to dine on both upper and lower ground floors - wheelchair accessible, they have a lift for the upper floor (ask staff for access). On the weekends very busy! Arrive early to get a table for your party/guest. Or book a table if they offer that service. Great staff members and well managed. As all Spoons serves food* and families. *food times differ from location/pub check online.

Placed my order online and received the meal quite quickly. Reasonable priced breakfast and refillable coffees available. Decent place for breakfast and catch up session with my friend.

Location and food is great. Service is also very good and fast. Deco is a little aged but atmosphere is good. It's also very cheap, especially the small fish and chips. A decent size of fish for less than £4 and with a drink! Chicken tikka is also very tasty. Not too recommend the steak though, very dry.

Nice and spacious Weatherspoon pub. Spent an hour there waiting for an event in nearby comedy club. There is extra space on first floor with bar as well, toilets are big but bit dirty. Guinness was ok but poured really fast, fish and chips was ok as well, liked chunky chips, fish was kinda bland thou, wasn't much flaky. Still can't complain much. Very good prices. Would visit again but it's completely not my area.

I recently visited this bar and had a very nice experience food and drink very good. At affordable prices. I sat on the upper floor which has a separate bar. I would definitely return to the gate clock.

I have been using this watering hole for a good few years now, it's always busy, because round the corner is a major tourist attraction " The Cutty Sark ". Also the National Maritime Museum & the Royal Observatory are a short walk away, loads of history of Greenwich here.

Every time I order food there, it's very delicious and fresh. Big portions and quick service. They only take cash, which can be a bit problematic when customers are not having it on them.

We come here quite often since it's in Greenwich and there is plenty of things to do and see here. This place can get very busy and loud but of course, because it is responsibly priced. The food is what it is...basic... however, depending on what you get some can be great. I had the 11" margarita pizza and it was a pleasant surprise. The staff are friendly and helpful considering they are rushed off their feet. I would like to know though why the cod and chips has been off the menu for some time.

Ok. Instead of making an insta dedicated to spoons I'm leaving reviews. One of the only southern spoons that sells poached eggs of a breakfast. Did used to have salmon. I miss it. It's near the river, could have been nearer. long waits for service and always cold heat wise. It's on the lower end of spoons been to.

Can't argue with £2.70 to £3 a pint these days for good quality, well kept real ales like Abbots and Landlord. Good atmosphere, polite bar staff, outside seating area. Food too though I didn't try it but again looked like very reasonable prices and good portions.

Ordered food here, and it took quite a while to arrive. When asked where it was, it the member of staff returned with our food saying "not sure how long it's been there?"... it was dry, so for a while. It is spoons though, so there's an element of you get what you pay for. Toilets are convenient from the DLR at least.

Didn't clean our glasses up. Food was cold. Drinks ordered on the app sat on the bar for half an hour whilst we were looking at them waiting for someone to bring them over. Staff useless and unprofessional :)

  • 3/5 George H. 1 year ago on Google
Friendly staff, lots of room, service is good. The quality of drinks is very low and after drinking here you risk a chance of becoming ill due to their cheap alcohol. Definitely a place to go before a night out for a quick drink but would not spend the entire night here.

As Wetherspoons goes it was a typical layout though a bit dark with dirty tables. Staff were helpful and friendly. We had fish and chips, fish was great but chips were not great

Busy when we visited but service was very quick. Staff polite and very professional. Ideal place for meal/ drink if visiting Cutty Sark and Maritime Museum.

Atypical wetherspoons beer and food reasonable prices staff exceedingly busy and rushed off there's feet a little inexperienced but generally a good place to go, toilet upstairs can be a little awkward if you're not good on your legs or had a few

A reasonable example of a 'spoons. Had Greene King IPA which was very good, also had the nachos which arrived hot and had plenty of cheese, guacamole, salsa and sour cream. Toilets were clean and tidy. Not an exceptional building, but the stairs were interesting. May visit again.

Centrally located, easy access, nicely laid out 'Spoons, no sticky carpets! Usual fare, friendly staff. EXCELLENT full English breakfasts and refill coffee/tea at VERY reasonable prices.

Beautiful location in historic and picturesque Cutty Sark, my favourite Wetherspoons pub. Staff are friendly and attentive, make you feel welcome and comfortable. Lovely deals on drinks and food, can’t go wrong with a outing in Wetherspoon. Definitely be back again, when In town.

What a disgusting place with disgusting food and useless staff and managers!!!!!! Shame on you!!!! We came on Thursday 14th September me my wife and my two kids. A very rude black waitress forced me to accept a dish I did not ordered which is crazy! I ordered a Chicken Korma and she came with a red looking chicken with a super super super spicy sauce and she forced me to accept it was chicken korma! She made me look stupid carrying on in saying that this is the way they do it and if i am not happy with it to ask for a refund to the manager! My daughter found a piece of plastic inside her burger and the dish of my wife (chicken tikka masala) was meant to be two spicy stars but it was at least 7!!! (And trust me we do it spicy food!) i ordered another dish called katsu grilled chicken which was super dry and tasteless but most of all the steam coming out of that place it was so hot that i am sure thats the reason why it turned out super dry! The meat of the burgers that my kids got had a very weird taste it tasted really bad thats not chicken it was horrible!!! This means that in the kitchen they are not even capable of using a microwave!!!! You are disgusting and deserve to shut down! The most shocking thing is that no apologies or consideration was given to us we have been totally ignored and they took our feedback personally
