Nice pub not too far from Charing Cross station. It has a great selection of beers, spirits and wine. It also serves food and the staff were nice and friendly

Found the Theodore Bullfrog way too late on our trip to London during a busy day where no one else seemed to have space- so lucky we stumbled upon it! Ended up being my favorite pub of the week. The atmosphere was comfortable and bright, staff was kind and quick, and overall provided a great experience for lunch. Will definitely come back next time I’m in town!

I have a reunion here soon and as I was in London I decided to check it out. I liked it, conveniently close to Charing Cross Station and plenty of eateries nearby. I think it is perfect for our reunion.

This is an oasis in a busy part of London. Fantastic bar area, with nice light. The bar staff are fantastic, friendly and efficient. Good selection of beers and lagers with a very impressive wine list. Comfortable chairs, make this more like a lounge bar than a pub. Quiet and cozy highly recommended

Great pub with a lovely atmosphere. Service is always quick and with a smile. There is a good selection of beer and food and everything is reasonable priced considering it is located in the heart of London. Any issues, ask for Mike or another member of the team and they’ll look after you!

Amazing spot to watch the rugby game. Exceptional staff. Manager was super nice and helpful. Vadym was very helpful and had great sense of humour. Fast service, great quality of food. Hummus was a bit over seasoned however it was still enjoyable. It’s great to see vegan options on the menu though. The meals are very well presented and hummus had loads of lovely vegetables included. Very generous portions. Amazing location. Pimms has loads of fruit, I’ve never seen any other place that add such a variety of fruit - it’s great! To add, the manager is very kind and attentive. He is a great host and really cares about every customer - something you don’t see in other pubs. Exceptional pub. The only improvement could be air condition or door kept open to have some air flow when it’s busy.

We popped in for a couple of drinks on Saturday at about 6pm with our friends whom we'd not been out with since the start of covid. Went to the bar and was greeted by the barmaid who happily took my order for two pints of Neck Oil and a Grey Goose and coke, but then proceeded to tell us that they didn't have my best friends wife's favourite tipple (Captain Morgans rum) as "we're not that cheap, hun". I've just had a look through your other reviews and wonder if it's the same barmaid who's had similar comments before regarding lack of customer service skills. It was my first time visiting the pub and will most definitely be my last. There are too many pubs in the area to bother visiting the ones where staff are rude and downright insulting to the customers from the off. I'm not a rum drinker, so I'm not sure where it ranks on the world's most expensive rums, but I'm guessing at the lower end. However, for the barmaid to say you don't have someone's preferred drink as it's too cheap is quite rude, and I actually think my friends wife was embarrassed by the comment. Also, we sat upstairs, and there was a very unpleasant smell. I'm not sure if it was the toilets or kitchen/washing up area. I've also seen this mentioned in previous reviews, so it seems that problems aren't addressed. If you're looking for a nice pub for a drink, steer clear of this place. Would give zero stars if I could.

Well run little pub, good food, good beer, clean n tidy and well laid out. Just a little tucked away, but now I know it's there, yeah I'll be popping in from time to time, good customer service will bring me back.

Great pub, hidden and off the beaten track, but very central and close to Charing Cross. Good service, reasonably priced drinks for London, bar snacks on offer, managed to watch the UEFA Women’s final on Sunday which was fab. Happily recommend this pub.

Lovely place with equally lovely staff! We were referred here by two police officers when we asked for a good local (not touristy) spot and it wound up being one of our favorite stops. It's off the beaten path but still close to the action. Good atmosphere and drinks.

Had a Xmas meal there. It was nice. Big chunks of meat and all the trimmings. My starter was ok the toast that went with smoked salmon was way too thick and felt a bit stale. But overall good evening spent there

Great pub/bar to have different varieties of pints, especially at the end of the afternoon on weekdays, it is always crowded (inside and outside) since lots of people hang there after working hours, you can watch games on the TV, the service is at the bar, they also have good wines.

British pub in the heart of Central London. Fish & chips was delicious. We drank pints of good ale. A bit expensive though 🫰 but quality! Staff was helpful and polite. 99% British clients.

An absolute gem, and just a stone's throw away from the hustle and bustle. A warm welcome from the manager and a friendly atmosphere. The food was cooked to perfection and presentation was excellent. It arrived hot and very quickly.

If you are looking for a great neighborhood pub to stop in then Theodore Bullfrog is the place to go. The fish and chips are amazing. Crispy flakey batter with tarter sauce to die for.

Stopped in for a drink at lunchtime. A nice buzz about the pub and had a good pint of Young's beer. Less than £12 for 2 pints.

Finally we found a pub with delicious pub food, friendly staff, and great and fast service to make it to the theatre on time and still not feel like a tourist! Cheers to Theodore

One of the best Sunday roasts I've ever had in a while! You can get amazing beers on tap, bottle, and also they have a great selection of wines, gin and tonics, cocktails and of course, the staff are amazing! I was served by Barbara, who was super polite and friendly! I definitely recommend this place and for sure I will come back again!

Booked the private room for a meeting, we had everything we needed and the chicken BLT was delicious! Thanks to Mike the manager who made sure the day went smoothly

Don't want to say too much in case it gets too popular but given that only a minute from a very congested area, lovely to find such a nice, friendly and not too busy pub. Nice range of drinks too

Thank you so much - our group of nearly 20 had a wonderful time: service was attentive and super quick, the food was lovely, and a great selection of drinks. The staff couldn’t have been more charming. Highly recommended. It’s about 25 years since I last drank regularly in the Bullfrog: hoping it won’t be so long until my next visit.

Food was average at best. The mash potato was lumpy and reminiscent of school dinners! Whilst service was slow, a particular negative highlight (for lack of a better phrase) was seeing a homeless person eat my leftover food after I moved my plate to the empty table behind me. She then started to drink white wine straight out of the bottle whilst slumped in the corner - lovely ambience!

Good beer and service was fast considering the amount of people.in the bar after a display on Horseguards. Staff were busy but not too busy to have a chat and a bit of banter whilst still doing their job. Made a great end to a good evening.

A great and amazing atmosphere. The staff were brilliant with a great selection of beers and wines. We had the sharing platters, they were fabulous. The rugby was on the television and the place was packed. But we had a great afternoon.

Quiet corner pub the staff very friendly and helpful, bringing menus drinks to table. The food it typical pub grub but to be honest not very well cooked, mine and father in law's peas with our traditional fish and chips were still cold ( almost fridge cold) the fish whilst small in portion was reasonably cooked, the chips were clearly cooked many times resulting in a leather like texture rather than crispy. But its a pub not fine dining... Front of house very good though

🚇 Charing Cross 🍺 £5.70 Guinness ❤️ A super friendly central London pub, serving quality food and drinks. . The Theodore Bullfrog is tucked away in a backstreet just a short walk away from Charing Cross station. This pub is a pub of two very different halves. Downstairs the bar area is very bright and airy with a modern feel to it. Upstairs in The Villiers Room, it is a more relaxed seductive affair with floral sofas, it’s dimly lit and has a calming atmosphere. My Son & I sat ourselves upstairs in eager anticipation ahead of the Italy v England Six Nations match. We ordered a couple of pints of the Guinness and tried the Six Nations Sharer which consisted of four sliders and a large bowl of curly fries. The food was really tasty and just what we needed to fill us up in between our pints. The atmosphere started to build just before the rugby started and there was a knowledgeable and passionate crowd in to roar the boys on. The game finished Italy 0 - 33 England which to be fair was not unexpected but a win away from home is always a good result. The one thing that really made our afternoon was the amazing personable service by Sophie, she was so accommodating and made sure that we along with everyone else were well catered for. She was such a people person and the type of person you hope to meet to look after you when you visit a pub. . The @theodorebullfrog is solid @youngspubs Pub offering it’s punters a decent selection of food and drinks. Even though the pub is located just off The Strand and the numerous London landmarks close by, it retains a sense of calm and an oasis away from these tourist hot spots. The welcome and service here are first class and the surroundings are smart and comfortable. If you want somewhere to get away from it all in central London, The Theodore Bullfrog awaits. . 📊 Information correct on visiting 13/02/22

Super friendly and really helpful staff. A group of 24 friends hot together and they really looked after us. I've only ever drunk downstairs but the upstairs where they put us was really nice.

Looking for somewhere to while away the time and have a bite of lunch before going to a show. Popped into this pub which was quiet. Decided to have the cumberland sausage, mash, onion rings and rainbow chard (and a small jug of gravy). Received 3 sausages which are very tasty; the rest of the meal was nice too. Service was quick and friendly. Returned after the show for another drink. Much busier but still a quick and friendly service. Highly recommended.

A little hidden gem. Didnt know this was here as it is slightly off the main walkway. This place is amazing, relaxed, friendly and welcoming. The Camden Ale was one of the best I have ever had. The lady serving us, I think her name was Sophie, was super friendly and attentive. She remembered our incredibly large round and provided table service to prevent us having to queue and carry! This customer service is the best I've had in any pub

Sorry folks, there is little to recommend here. Beer was ok, ordered food (Cumberland sausage) that was the blandest (bought) meal I've ever had. I thought I'd caught COVID. The gravy was weak, the mash was watery and the sausage was dullness in a skin. Cheapest ingredients used for a less than cheap meal. Luckily I had a pint of reasonable beer to wash it down. Staff were friendly enough, can't fault them, but for God sake, eat somewhere else.

Rodrigo and Mike were amazing. We contacted them last minute the week before Christmas for a lunch booking for a friends birthday. There were 18 of us! Not only did they squeeze us in, but the service was lovely and the food even better. We pre-ordered the food to save time, and to support the team at the pub, but it was definitely still freshly cooked and amazing! Best fish and chips I have had in a long time. The team even used the names of my friends from the food order spreadsheet, what a lovely touch that not only makes it easier for them, but more personal for them. A delight and will definitely be returning.

I’ve had some bad steak sandwiches in my time - but these dry old slithers of “steak” were a new low. Extra sad when you’ve tipped in advance for service!
