Great atmosphere, staff were amazingly welcoming! We had 3 kids with us and the staff made us feel extremely welcome. Would definitely recommend....plus the Guiness is bang on❤️

Great little boozer tucked away near to King's Cross. Lots of nooks and crannies, so good for a quiet beer and a chat. Usually 3 or 4 unusual cask ales on. The Portobello Red Ale was on great form today - £4.70 a pint with a 10% CAMRA discount. Great service and very handy for the station.

Great place, it's a pub with traditional, original fittings at one end and then on the other side feels more of a wine bar. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, perfect before and after Nenno next door! One improvement they could make; their pizzas are listed as 12" stone-baked which gives the impression of fresh, Italian style ones. Actually they're not 12" and are pre-made and then tarted-up by adding oils and grated cheese - they actually looked very appetising but would be good if they made proper ones fresh.

Deceptively large pub with many rooms and lots of nooks-and-crannies to explore, and even a roof terrace. Huge selection of real ales and craft beers. Staff were friendly enough early on a Saturday evening but not quite as welcoming as some have said. I was also a bit put off by the bouncers frequently touring the place, despite it being pretty quiet inside at the time of my visit. There are quite a few unsavoury people hanging around the south end of Caledonian Road so I do understand why you may need bouncers on the door, but surely not inside unless there is an issue? Overall more positives than negatives, so 4 stars feels about right.

The wooden interior of this placed hasn't changed in years. I enjoyed a couple of glasses of wine whilst watching the world go by. I guess post covid-19 this establishment will be well attended.

Nice weather so love to enjoy a pint sitting out in sun. Such nice selection of beers on tap from the well known UK breweries. so friendly & welcoming staff. Nice location just 2 mins walk from King Cross station. Love the old look of the pub.

Nice pub, friendly staff and benefits from having a larger seating area since my last visit. Offers discounts to CAMRA members if that's your thing!

Great little place which is kinda 2 pubs in one. Nice to get a pint of Tennants outside of Scotland. Good range of beers and friendly staff. You can order food from the place across the road and they bring it to your table

A CAMRA heritage pub that has a beautiful historic interior and a very lively vibe. Came with my spouse, who had an excellent g&t. Beer range is excellent including 4 interesting cask pours. Service and hospitality amazing. Greeted by a very welcoming bartender who engaged us in conversation and really made us feel at home. Didn’t get food, at least not yet! Will definitely be back!

A few sips were had, but.... these are honestly the best espresso martinis I have had served to me in a bar. Thank you to Rudis who made them for us.

Great selection of beers and a terrific location near King's X. You can book tables which is handy for such a prime location. Good vibe inside (not too rowdy) and the staff are really friendly

Two London brewed real ales both good and the surprise of the roof terrace where you cannot hear the traffic. Nice old pub good service the last couple of times I have used the bar.

Classic interior and excellent choice of well kept real ale. The high chairs are a bit uncomfortable for us old codgers though if you stay for some time. An excellent pub though.

Good beer selection. Neat pub. I probably wouldn't eat here -- they do serve pizza, but I've seen it and it just doesn't look appealing. Granted, haven't tried it. Still one of my favourite watering holes in King's Cross.

Excellent selection of beer and an awesome roof terrace. Service was also really good. Steer clear of the pizza, it's basically a tesco £1 pizza with a bit of extra cheese thrown on it. But the pub doesn't pretend to be a gastropub, so it's a minor point and shouldn't stop you heading there!

The Scottish Stores was an unplanned surprise, a cozy refuge I found due to another local pub being closed. Upon entering, I was greeted by a series of intimate side rooms, each offering its own cozy setting, making it a pleasantly inviting space. The beer here is of good quality and the prices are reasonable, which is always a welcome find in central London. It embodies all the qualities of a winning after-work pub, providing a comfortable space to unwind in the midst of the city bustle. In essence, The Scottish Stores is a warm, welcoming spot that offers good drinks at good prices—making it a delightful discovery for anyone looking to relax in a cozy atmosphere. --- "Enjoyed this review? Located just a stone's throw from King's Cross, this hidden gem of a pub is a real find. Its cozy nooks and crannies create the perfect atmosphere for a laid-back drink and a chat. The service is great, and being so close to the station is incredibly convenient. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area!

Came here in October and the atmosphere was friendly and spooky! There were bat's, cobwebs, candy, the works! Came in November, and there's hidden elves! See how many you can find! Friendly staff, fairly cheap pints, before 5 it's not blaring it's music, so you can actually hear. After 5 it plays fairly good music (Crazy Little Thing Called Love). There's often tables and it's well on it's way to becoming my new favourite! Go experience the fun!

Visited here whilst waiting for a table at a nearby restaurant. Fantastic pint of 'London's Burning' red ale. Cosy atmosphere and well worth a visit to this traditional pub.

The bar staff are so friendly and very professional. Atmosphere is great. The place is just great. Can meet up so many new people. I can say it's my favourite place in London. When Im in London try to visit it every time. Prices for drinks are acceptable. Had amazing time in there and I hope to visit again soon. Thanks.

Nice atmosphere in this central London pub and a very unique range of beers (some of them I've only seen in Scotland). I visited on NYE but was able to find a seat and the service was quick. The security at the door was extremely helpful.

Nice pub in a good area. Only stayed for one but will definitely return. Not cheap but most pubs in that area aren't.

Fun bar serving decent ale, not too pricey considering location either. There is a piano and a guitar that you are encouraged to play if you wish...

A great little pub close to Kings Cross station. Great selection of beers, both keg and cask. A labyrinthine place with (sic) many crooks and nannies. The staff are wonderful, happy, polite and knowledgable. A great pint in a great place, saving the roof terrace for my next visit when all remediation will be complete! Thanks for the hospitality.

Only place I know in London that serves Tennent’s lager on draft. As a Scotsman I approve highly. Friendly bar staff and good location just across the road from Kings Cross. Recommend.

Great little boozer in Kings Cross. Staff are lovely, lots of little alcoves to have a quiet pint or meet pals. Scottish beers on tap too. Roof terrace is a great outdoor space to escape from the bustle.

Stumbled across the cutest little pub on our way back to our hotel from Kings Cross station. A really lovely ambiance that feels historic, the staff are so friendly and attentive and even told the history of the place. If you visit do ask , it’s fascinating 🥰🍻and we got the best seat in the house!
