Would
like
to
share
our
experience
as
constructive
criticism.
Firstly,
settings
and
our
waitress
were
well
above
average.
Beautiful
log
fire,
perfect
lighting
and
lovely
Christmas
music,
attentive
and
welcoming
waitress.
However,
the
food
really
let
the
evening
down.
The
“crab
on
toast”
starter
was
crab
pate...
fine,
but
misleading.
My
starter
of
buffalo
mozzarella,
baked
fig
and
chicory
was
just
that,
so
although
I
can’t
complain
that
I
was
mislead,
I
thought
that
they
would
be
cooked
together
to
form
a
concoction
of
flavours,
but
they
were
just
the
above
together
on
a
plate.
Our
mains;
my
burger
and
fries
was
nice,
partners
rump
steak
which
was
also
nice
and
my
child’s
mushroom
tagliatelle,
the
pasta
was
plain
and
flavourless,
my
child
didn’t
like
it
and
neither
did
we,
so
I
ended
up
giving
him
most
of
my
burger.
We
explained
to
the
waitress
that
it
was
really
not
nice
and
she
immediately
amended
this
by
removing
it
from
our
bill.
We
then
ordered
2
crumbles
and
the
chocolate
mousse
and
shortbread
for
dessert.
Both
the
crumbles
were
left,
as
they
just
weren’t
nice
and
the
shortbread
on
my
mousse
was
stale,
which
was
explained
to
the
waitress
and
we
received
confirmation
from
the
chef
that
it
was
stale.
I
really
hope
that
this
feedback
is
taken
as
it
is
intended,
and
that
it
can
be
taken
positively,
we
still
had
a
lovely
evening
and
we’re
more
than
happy
with
the
waitresses’
service
and
her
taking
of
the
feedback
in
a
graceful
and
positive
manner
and
rectifying
it
within
her
means.
I
do
hope
that
we
hear
that
the
food
improves
in
the
not
to
distant
future
so
that
we
can
return
:)
