I love the interior of this pub, so many seats little pods to sit a bit private. Cool colour scheme and concept. Lovely bar stuff really helpful. There is a outside terrace which fill up quickly. This is my go to in the area. Great before theatre

Really fun place. Popped in for a couple of beers after dinner with a friend. There was a great band and it was quite lively. Overall great place

I loved this place. Very good energy, while outdoors is cool I would recommend visiting inside as the decoration is quite nice! I went there on a Saturday and they had a rock band playing on the basement. I would 100% go back!

One of my favourite pubs in London! If you like darker beers this is your place! They usually live music on Fridays and Saturdays and a great atmosphere. Only thing I don’t like is that it closes really soon, even on weekends!

Trendy venue with decent amount of outdoor tables undercover, real ales on draught and many well known and not so well known strong Belgian and German bottled beers which are all listed on the drinks menu. Attentive staff and made to feel welcome, had a good meal there too.

Huge venue with lots of seating distributed over various rooms and floors all connected by an original series of stairs and bridges. I love the decor and the atmosphere even though they were showing sports with I am not usually a fan of. They also have a separate room that looks like a speakeasy bar.. Sunday Roast was ok but nothing outstanding in my opinion (it makes sense since this is an irish bar).. Service was however great and very efficient! Table service and quick food delivery! I loved it!

Looking at the reviews, it looks like I should have enjoyed this more than I did. Bit of a novelty with the mix of levels and areas, but I just found it too busy, too loud and not overly clean. The beer I tried wasn't great but I can't fault them on that as I did choose it.. !

Huge pub near to Covent Garden, well worth seeking out fir a relatively quiet drink away from the hordes. However, I remember back in the day when it was a more Irish experience, with lots of stouts to try. These days it's more keg IPAs and lagers, with only a couple of Purity cask ales on. Good to see Tayto's crisps on offer, though!

Fun tradition pub in a nice old building. Live music the odd night. Good pub food. Reasonable prices. Nice patio with heaters.

Awesome place, with a huge variety of beers, both home-brewed and from other breweries as well. Great food and great ambience, even though you may want to find a good illuminated spot to eat to avoid squinting your eyes at all times! 😂 Suited for small and large groups!

A beer garden on a quiet street in the heart of London! Very good customer service. The lady who seems to be security is actually helping people find seats and makes them feel really welcome. £1 extra for cheese on your fries.

Huge pub, I’ve never had an issue getting in or with space as there are so many floors. Live music is awesome too. Great for live sport. Fairly reasonable prices too, especially when you’re in the mindset of paying London prices for everything. My favourite pub in the Covent Garden area, and the tourists often miss it which makes it EVEN BETTER

Visited on a Sunday afternoon for a roast dinner. The atmosphere and staff were amazing. Felt really at home and comfortable. Food was good yet would recommend swapping or having the option to select normal mash rather than sweet potato with a roast. Hey just personal preference. Good broadcast sports, great drinks selection.

Attended a works gathering on a Thursday night. This not something I do regularly and have to say the energy was good within the bar. Staff were friendly and the service was quick. I don't drink alcohol and they had really cold Peroni 0.0 which was lovely. The food wasn't the greatest but satisfied my hunger. I was pleased they had plenty of vegan options on the menu. The security staff were friendly and made you feel welcome. Generally we call had a good time.

It's absolutely amazing little find, the pubs quite big. And has a great range of beer. 3 bars, loads of seating, but it's does get busy. But trust me this place is worth the wait. Great range of beers and craft beers. And food was lovely! Can't wait to return

Passed by this pub many times but never stopped. Last night I had the chance to and I was very impressed: the place is very nice, it's enormous on various levels so there's space to sit and to hang. We wanted some drinks and food and the menu is pretty interesting, not cheap but I realised that the quality of the food was excellent. When it was almost time for us to leave, we heard a live band playing music downstairs so we went and it was pretty entertaining! I'd really recommend it :)

Beautiful Irish pub. And I mean beautiful. It's like drinking in Gringots bank from Harry Potter (strange reference, but if you know, you know). The beer is exceptional and is the main reason I go, as I always know I'm going to get an amazing pint. The plain porter and oyster stout come highly recommended. Food is decent pub grub, burgers chicken wings etc. You are paying standard prices for beer in London. But when it's this good, you don't mind.

Great pub, loads of space. Live music in the lower floor which is nice and one can choose to go or not! Had some hot snacks, perfect! Staff very professional and accommodating.

Nice place to come for drinks Lighting makes it a little hard to navigate. Loos are downstairs Good amount of beer and wine sections to choose from.

Friendly service. Good selection of beers , ales and ciders. Great pub for casual drinks with friends or after work with colleagues. Often very busy on weekends and Friday nights. Food is not as good as the drinks. Seems to lack freshness and quality and not particularly tasty. But seeing as it’s probably a pub geared more towards drinking still give it 4 stars

Seating on three different levels, an open central atrium, many booths, warren-like layout, copper handrails, fittings and wrought iron staircases, beer bottles lining the walls in lighted glass cabinets, subdued lighting. Great atmosphere. Crisp and light Temple larger is very good.

I like all the different area's to have your drink. Good range of beers. If you have mobility problems, it would be best to sit outside as the place is full of stairs. The food is very good with large portions. Good for sharing.

Great pub with live music and a little dance floor. Drinks are varied. Unfortunetely we were there on thursday...where the pub closes at 11pm.

The Porterhouse is a Covent Garden institution. Full of leather, brass and copper furnishings it has an atmosphere all of its own. With a huge range of beers there's something for everyone. Once upon a time it used to be considered expensive, but with beer in The City running at £7+ a pint, I'd consider £5.50 a bargain! Added bonus on hottest day ever - air con!

The Porterhouse 📍21-22 Maiden Ln, London WC2E 7NA 🚇 Charing Cross 🍺 £5.70 Temple Lager ❤️ A cavernous multilevel pub with an extensive range of beers. . The Porterhouse in Covent Garden is just a short walk from either Charing Cross or Covent Garden Tube. This pub is part of the Dublin based @porterhousebrewco who along with their brewery and pubs in Ireland have pubs in London & New York, a truly global affair. I visited here with my son on a crawl around Charing Cross and this pub caught my eye due to rave reviews I’ve read. On entering you immediately get a sense of the scale of this place, its huge. We approached the bar and it became apparent that the draught beer choice wasn’t very familiar to us, so we asked the barman for a bit of guidance on which lager and stout to go for. We chose our pints based on the barman’s recommendation and both were very enjoyable. The drinks choice here like the pub is massive, there is so much to choose from, the more familiar brews you might recognise come in bottles and cans. This pub is set over three levels and we decided to take a seat upstairs in a section overlooking the main bar. Even though this is a very large pub, the place we sat at was cosy enough even though the atmosphere was lively. The decor here is very unique, it’s almost like the owners wanted to create a cathedral to celebrate all things beer. There are glass cabinets everywhere displaying the multitude of beers on offer. There is also copper hand rails, copper tubing and copper ducting everywhere you look, the scrap man would have a field day. For the sports fans out there, there are a few big screens showing live sports, other entertainment comes in the form of regular live music events. . The @porterhouselondon has much to be admired. This is a great spot whether your in a group or in a couple. Covent Garden has so much to offer you on a day or night out, why not swing by to The Porterhouse to try it out for yourself. . 📊 Information correct on visiting 17/03/22

It's a nice pub. The interior is well thought out and the service is fast and friendly. It's only a 3 star review as the gents toilets were disgusting. Genuinely awful. Awash with pee. I was glad I was wearing boots. Please sort that out. Add a drain or something.

What an amazing place! Multiple levels & bars with cozy areas that make it feel a bit like being aboard a ship. Friendly staff & a good range of house drink (that are actually pretty good) definitely worth checking out despite its street appearance which is rather underwhelming. Recommended

We came here for drinks on a Saturday afternoon right when they opened and sat on the patio. My boyfriend had two of their IPAs and said both were really good and I had a gin and tonic- fruity tasting and it was delicious! Atmosphere was nice- we didn’t have any food so can’t speak to it but they did look pretty good. We had returned later that night for live music and the patio was full and looked like everyone was having a great time.
