The bar staff in this pu use the palce as their playground. They are rude to customers, give the wrong order then act like its the customers fault. They don't clean the tables please see pictures a d leave weapons around on the floor(my friend picked it up). Stratford Weatherspoons should have mystery shoppers to see what I am talking about! You need to do better!

A very nice place, which offers indoor and outdoor seating. Staff are friendly and accommodating. There is no music but the place is cosy and comfortable. Outdoor seating closes at 10pm. Far better than tgif and las iguanas because this place mentions how much ml of alcohol goes into your cocktail. The prices are very cheap and worthy.

The wetherspoons is amazing!! The wetherspoons is located near morrisons and heading towards westfield. Its a small wetherspoons compared to other wetherspoons. The food was amazing and delivered with speed. The staff were very efficient and welcoming. Very pleased with the service

The food was just as good as you'd expect from a Wetherspoons, really tasty and cooked to perfection. The staff were really friendly. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because the pub itself is very dark and dreary looking and it was a sunny day outside. There is a decent sized pub garden though should you decide to use that instead, which we did.

Ok food at good prices. The staff are welcoming and friendly. It isn't the cleanest, but that has more to do with it's patrons than the establishment. The food is ok, with some frozen food then and there, but overall ok. The prices are good as for a large meal with drink you pay about £10.

walked 4 hours to find a jacket potato in london. every place that sold them was (permanently) closed. when we got there they got me their last cheesy jacket potato and i enjoyed every bite. toilets could use some more cleaning but overall i enjoyed my meal and my boyfriend did as well.

Came here tonight for a quick bite to eat and a drink. Very disappointing service. Never had issues with the Wetherspoon app before. 35 mins after ordering my food, I was told that they had run out of chicken wraps. I asked for an alternative wrap which I was told wouldn’t be possible as they had run out of tortilla wraps. I said that it was a bit annoying to be told that after 35 mins, and to be fair, the guy was sympathetic and apologetic. He said he’d bring me a burger instead. I didn’t really want a burger, but given that I’d already paid on the app, I reluctantly agreed. Another 30 mins passed and we were fed up. We wanted to go home, but I had already paid so I told the guy behind the bar and showed him my email receipt showing that I’d been waiting 1 hour and 10 mins. He was very sorry and spoke to the kitchen and said it would be 10 mins. 10 mins later, the burger I didn’t want or order arrived at the table, when we just wanted to go home. I wolfed it down so I could go home and couldn’t really enjoy the meal as a result. Very disappointing to have to wait 1 hour and 20 mins for something I didn’t want. A shame, as I’m local and would come here often if the service wasn’t such a mess.

The Golden Grove at Stratford is a reliable choice for a good time, whether you're with friends or flying solo. Its spacious interior and ample room behind the bar ensure that even on busy nights, there's plenty of space for everyone. The staff are consistently friendly, adding to the welcoming atmosphere. While the food may not be gourmet, it meets the expected Wetherspoon standard, satisfying hunger without breaking the bank. While it may not boast the most breathtaking aesthetics among Wetherspoons, its charm lies in its familiarity and the memories it holds for regular visitors. Having frequented various Wetherspoons across the UK, the Golden Grove stands out as a sentimental favorite, thanks to its role as the backdrop for cherished experiences. Overall, the Golden Grove at Stratford may not be the most glamorous option, but its reliable service, spacious layout, and personal significance make it a beloved establishment for many.

there was a young blonde and plump lady at the service, but with an indescribable disgust. She never said thank you or please. and always had the "what do you want" look. I do not recommend at all!!! bar staff very cold and indifferent. as if you were bothering them when you wanted to order.

Visited 15/12/2022 - A.M. Nice Wetherspoon. It was worth a visit for the guest ales and only round the corner from Stratford Station. Ale was really good quality (I've been in previously for breakfast, and I remember that also being well cooked and presented. (American breakfast). One member of bar staff seemed to be doing most herself, and she was really trying her best and actually was managing the whole place on her own it seemed, which I think deserves commendation for. I think I saw the manager too, when I say I think I did it's because she seemed to talk to everyone like they were children and this came across quite rude. Whilst in the public area, she appeared to accuse the girl who was on her own of not starting the dishwasher when asked, when in fact she actually did. Now I wouldn't like this said to me in private by my manager, but this was loudly said, in the public bar...hmm. Anyway, besides that little glitch, this does seem like a lovely pub. It needs more staffing, though the manager could just maybe lay off a bit. Especially in public.

Just Terrible! By far the worst Weatherspoon i have ever visited. Rude personel, burnt burgers, pepperonipizza without pepperoni, long wait for wrong drinks to be delivered but somehow it was our fault. Shame as i used to love Weatherspoon.

Friendly staff and very nice pub. Prices are affordable but that does not reflect the quality of the food and drinks. Food was piping hot freshly made which i did not expect. Lovely beer garden with plenty of seating. Practically enjoying the 8 inch pizza.

The food is very tasty and good. The atmosphere is a bit noisy . Good size beer garden . I had a pleasant afternoon . It's worth it spending your money on here

A good Spoons I have been going to for 20 years. The food is cheap, atmosphere friend and staff are very helpful and friendly. We had a recent lunch which was Scampi Chips Mushy Peas and Chickens Wings which were very small . The food was hot and you can tell its frozen etc but you pay for what you get. Drinks are super cheap as you expect. Toilets could do with a refresh.

The food and ambience is really good. They have bottomless hot drinks which is great. But mostly they are very busy and service is quite slow. You have to be lucky to find an empty table.

The best pub in the heart of the town square. Though it’s busy still they provide the best service.

I enjoyed my meal here. It was a decent breakfast, not amazing, but good for the price. Would recommend if you would like to eat a nice breakfast out for cheap.

Really nice Wetherspoons before match day at the London stadium. One of the only pubs that will let away fans in too. Super cheap 3-4 quid pints too. Lovely pub garden.

I visited this a few weeks back after spending the day at the Olympic Park. I’m a fan of Spoons and very rarely have I had a bad experience. However, sadly this was one of the worst experiences I’ve had at a Spoons. I was in a group of 6 and we all ordered via the app. It took over 35 minutes for drinks to o arrive despite the bar being quiet. When I questioned this, I was met with a rude response of “It’ll be there when it’ll be there.” The food that we ordered was okay, pretty much what you’d expect from a Spoons. However, despite being placed in the same order, food came out in drips and drabs and again, when we chased it up, we were met with “I’m not sure”. I had to chase up the manager to get the final dish, which by this time was sold out. I received no apology for any of the delay, which was disappointing. Sadly I don’t think I’ll be going back to eat.

The outside area is very nice, but the smoking area is quite tiny. i wish it was possible to smoke in a bigger area (it's outside anyway). Other than that, service is quite fast and the food is very good. Drink selection is also not bad and prices are unbeatable. I noticed that if you order from the app, your order will come out faster.

Good portions are small, some was not bright too is she wet had to ask more than twice about it. Drinks and starters order was mixed up with another table's order and the staff weren't on it. Granted it's a demanding job but being polite is not that hard. Manager was quick to resolve

An honest review. A good little pub that very obviously served microwaved food (we came on curry night, Thursday). Great outdoor seating as that weather was good and using the app was relatively quick. Serving staff were great although it was a little understaffed and we waited ages (hence the 4 star). Would come again but not for the terrible food. Would come back for the drinks, atmosphere and helpful staff. Using the app to order is a must.

The bar service is disgusting. Never got the bar staff. You have to clean your own table. And all the bar staff say is not enough hours to employ more people. And the most important thing is the area manager he always let the manager know when he is coming in stead of turning up out of the blue.

Very Weatherspoons. Decent beer and food at a very reasonable price. Been here on several occasions for breakfast. First evening visit today, had a good value for money burger. Orders can be made online at the table.

Loved the outdoor area. Visited when they had this Ale festival. Drinks is very affordable and the food menu has some spicy options.

Very busy, but it makes sense for the location. There was absolutely no space inside, so we sat outside. The staff however, did get two of our orders wrong, I had to go to the bar to ask for my pint, because they didn't bring it. Then went to the bar to get another drink, one of the staff members was just chatting away to their colleague, while I was standing there waiting for 2 minutes or so; that's something to improve on. The interior is okay, but it lacks atmosphere.

First time in this wetherspoons & was a quick lunch before heading to Wembley stadium. Drinks were served to table pretty quickly and politely. However waited over an hour for food to arrive. Asked at the bar twice and 1st staff member was very rude and got told they were short staffed and everybody needed to wait. Waited 20 minutes until asking again, 2nd lady explained they were 2 kitchen chefs down today and it was very busy inside. Staff member was very apologetic when brought food out. Wouldn't recommend going there again for food

There is a serious drop of quality these days. I ordered eggd benedict and as you can see in the photo, the sauce had absolutely split. Egg white was boiled hard as rock. The rockets were not fresh (they looked sadder than I was). The price was fine (4.50) so I am giving 2 stars. Order something else if you can.

Great pub and prices staff work extremely hard especially on match days.one pretty annoying thing they do when you order bottled beers through the app they pour them into a glass so when the waiting staff turn up if it's a large party they're not really aware which beer is which because its been taken out the bottle. The whole point of ordering bottled beers is so you can pour it yourself. Apart from that can't fault this place

Experience was fairly good. Main meals were only available after 11:30. And on the particular day I visited, the veggie breakfast was not available due to shortage of one item. Other changes since my prior visit was that the, bottles of sauce has been replaced with small packs possibly during COVID times. And coffee ☕ was self service from a machine.

Standard wetherspoons apart from not having to climb to middle earth for a jimmy riddle. Plenty of random characters and a decent outside area. Got lucky with the weather when I went and sat in the sun all day. Food however leaves a lot to be desired !!! Had a burger that tasted like perfume and was accompanied by 8 chips. Not bad for £7 !!!

I like the huge outdoor sitting and the beer prices. Unfortunately no football showed in this pub. Some of staff at the bar need to be more polite as they get angry if you ask about anything.

One of the better Wetherspoons. Served quickly, nice mixed grill and some great cask beers offered.

  • 1/5 Luis M. 3 months ago on Google • 2 reviews New
The portions are off and things are always unavailable. A Mediterranean salad comes is a tiny side bowl even though it’s almost £10??? Half the selection wasn’t available and even though it took them over 15/20 minutes to deliver our drinks they still didn’t have any of the requested draft beers. It’s just disappointing and disorganized that these things aren’t pointed out when ordering.
