I booked to visit as I had a 25% discount card from Taste of London festival, having purchased some food from the Gaucho stall at that event. I cannot say I was overly impressed with the arrival experience, as I was made to feel a bit like the card was not real - the lady at reception then took it away to confirm with her manager, although I eventually had to question what had happened because we didn't get any confirmation as to whether or not it was ok - the waiter confirmed it had been applied when I followed up before we placed an order for food. The same member of staff that sat us at our table also took an initial order for some tap water as she sat us down, which did not arrive. Our waiter then took an order for tap water which didn't arrive either, until he came back and asked again, and this time it arrived. As for the food - the bread was nice, the steak was tasty but not amazing. The chips were not fresh at all - stale and lukewarm. My chocolate brownie was also stale and barely warm. The other diners in my party reported tasty food - the sticky toffee pudding was good, as far as I could tell. The pumpkin gnocchi was good too. The fillet steak was expensive! Another forgotten request for more tap water that we had to ask for again (that's three failed attempts), and we then paid and left. All in all, I was not that enamoured with the experience - certainly not worth the money in my opinion, even with 25% discount. A final point - improve the signage for the toilets! It is really, really unclear where to go, and led to a mishap in my party as one our guests accidentally entered the male toilets - there is no obvious signage whatsoever.

Overall the standard is below average and absolutely waste of money. I’ve been to their other brunches but particularly the food quality here was very disappointing. Their hand cut chips and Humitas were disastrous!

The restaurant is beautiful, staff was very attentive throughout. The food was absolutely delicious. Ordered stake, bread, mushrooms! Pricey, but as a treat, totally worth it! Great for a special evening out

Being a weekend, the other top steak restaurants were fully booked, so I chose this place as a safe bet. This is my first visit in 6 years. Steaks and desserts are as good as before but the chairs are dirty and the atmosphere is like a family restaurant. The quality of service from the waiters is also out of question.

Restaurant Gaucho was quite an experience. The decor and lighting were really nice, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. I enjoyed the overall ambiance of the place. Now, let's talk about the food. The steak, chips, and mash were absolutely delicious. The steak was cooked perfectly to my liking, juicy and tender. The combination of the flavorful chips and creamy mash complemented the steak really well. These dishes were definitely the highlights of the meal. However, I wasn't particularly impressed with the scallops. They were just average and didn't leave a lasting impression. Unfortunately, the service at Gaucho was a major letdown. It was truly terrible. I had to get up three times and go find a waitress just to order more food, drinks, or even get the bill. It was frustrating and inconvenient. What made it worse was that at one point, the inside of the restaurant was completely empty, yet the waitresses didn't acknowledge us once while we were sitting there. The lack of attention and poor service really marred the overall experience. To sum it up, Gaucho has a nice decor and lighting, and the steak, chips, and mash were outstanding. However, the subpar service seriously detracted from the dining experience. It's a shame because with improved service, this restaurant could be a top-notch destination.

Visited Gaucho for the first time today using a Buyagift voucher, in my past experience when using vouchers like this the menu is usually sub standard and the entire experience is spent having items upsold to you; At Gaucho this was not the case! The selection of foods available from the menu was fantastic and the drink selection was great and didn't need any hard sell at all. The warm welcome at the entrance, the ambience of the restaurant and service style were all very warm without being overbearing. Furthermore the food was great and I will definitely be returning!

Third or fourth visit to this particular Gaucho. Service was very slow and bordering on poor. 15min wait while trying to attract waiters attention for water. It’s saving grace was the steak, which was very good when it arrived. But for a premium brand and a competitive high end price point, the service really should be better. It isn’t cheap and with competitors literally around the corner I won’t be in a hurry to return. It was also quiet and after the lunchtime rush on our visit.

Amazing evening at Gaucho. We were warmly greeted by the hostess who took our coats with a smile and immediately found our reservation. We were promptly seated. Great ambiance - perfect combination of design, energy and vide in the restaurant. Our server Edison checked in with us immediately and helped us with cocktail and wine selections. His food recommendations were all on the mark, but we suspect virtually everything there is exceptional. Our group of five did everything family style. Our sampling of empanadas were absolutely delicious. We ordered a broad selection of the meats plus the fish. All was cooked to perfection, high quality ingredients, and the sauces are delightful. We had most of the deserts. Each was as good as the last. The desert cocktails were equally tasty. Edison was there with us during our entire experience, and even allowed us to take a pic with him. Highly recommend.

Service was very slow on a Wednesday night. The steak's don't come with anything, no side of chips or salad, so make sure you order your sides! Portions were decent sizes. I had my steak medium rare. It wasn't very flavorful but it cut well and had a nice texture

Such a chic place to eat dinner, very quintessential London with a stunning venue and design, curated menu and inner city pricing. Cocktails and wine list was equally impressive. Whilst my steak was phenomenal, cooked blue to perfection, was very dissatisfied with the lack of flavour and seasoning on the mushroom pasta.

Really nice place and great service even though it's a busy place. The staff is attentive and takes the time to make you feel welcome. Great food, great choice for the steak amateur cooked right.

I had a fabulous evening at Gaucho, a chic and classy Argentinian restaurant in the heart of London. The ambience was cozy and sophisticated, with a dazzling wine cellar. The service was flawless, the staff was attentive and professional. The food was superb, cooked to perfection. The cocktails were delicious and varied, and the flavours were well balanced. I would highly recommend Gaucho .

Nice, but wouldn't go back because of the price. The wagyu empanada was fantastic, but tiny. We ordered 2 empanadas. The Ribeye was tasty, but not mind blowing. The chips that came with my steak were very meh with fancy salt. The chips were definitely not worth £6. The El Niño cocktail was very good but not worth £12. Inside the restaurant was very dark and we sat by the window.

Absolutely amazing food and service. We were really well looked after by the staff always had our glass full. Had Chateaubriand medium rare with chips, beans, mushrooms, and peppercorn sauce. Chocolate brownie for dessert and bread for starter. Had a lovely bottle of wine between the two of us Looking forward to coming here again soon

Food was exquisite. Sirloin steak was juicy. I phoned in for the halal option, just be weary if you do want halal steak sauce the peppercorn sauce has wine. The atmosphere was riotous and buzzing that could be because of the day I went, I went on a day when England were playing Ukraine. The place was dark and peaky if you prefer low light. Overall, I enjoyed the food more than the atmosphere. Between two people we spend around £100, steak was not that overly priced. Dessert was a 9/10. Very very nice!

Nice and cosy restaurant but the Food!!! For the price, they can do better with seasoning. Ordered from the grill, the portions were good but the food was totally bland. My suggestion...take your seasoning along cos i requested for salt and never got it...

Yes the steak is good. But paying 5£ for half a mushroom is ridiculous to me… the sauces are really small portions, and my lamb was quite dry… if you’re going for steaks yeah sure it’ll be amazing but pricey, the desserts however were really good! Especially the tarte Tatin and cheesecake.

Not bad but I was expecting much more from this fancy Argentinean restaurant in central London. Tables with no tablecloth, napkins were not made of fabric. We ordered one carafe of red wine and when the waiter brought it to the table it was already out of the original bottle, how do I know is the wine I have asked for!? (I had never tasted that wine in particular) which by the way costed me c £50. We tried the ceviche and it didn’t taste as ceviche, at least not like the Peruvian one (which I consider the original taste). I am Argentinean and I know how good meat tastes, you don’t have to pay expensive bills for ta good piece of beef which I think is the case for this restaurant. Although food and meat was ok, I would not recommend this place - could get much more for your money!

Love this place!❤️The food was absolutely delicious! All effort put from chefs and front staff is visible and all I can say is , guys you make all of your customers happy. Super attentive and friendly staff; I had a bit issue with the steak , I chose wrong steak temperature and as soon as I tried it and asked to be a bit more cooked, the waiter on our table did it immediately. Great ,great team work , great food, great atmosphere! Happy to see everyone there smiles, this makes us feel the good vibes! Thank you!

In my opinion, it just feels like another chain and there are for sure better steaks available at this price point. Waited gif our order wrong and rather than just sort it before bringing the food to the table (he arrived with the food apologising) he asked if we would accept it. At £50 a steak, this isn’t the experience I hoped for. On an upside, the bill was cheaper. Decor is nice. Managers in their suits faff about. Wouldn’t go back and will stick to the dozens of great and independent Argentinian restaurants in London that are similarly priced. Wine selection is extensive which is good. Won’t head back.

had a good time at gaucho using an eat out to help out offer. glad there was off the menu for wines trying something new which I haven't tried before. However, wish ALL staff members are wearing a mask. (this is reason why i put 3 stars instead of 4/5 for hygiene, health and safety reason at this time)

Lovely outdoor dining terrace. It's a bit dark inside but outside is fab. Shame it is quiet at the moment so do come and enjoy dining out while the weather is good. They do have outdoor heaters but that's against my policy for sitting out!

One of best dinner night on Wednesday 🥰 they had set menu that I didn’t have to think for longggg time to decide what do eat from starter to the dessert. First one was with salmon-not really fan of fish so I had a taste but couldn’t finish. It had some spice. Next one was scallop which I loved with some spicy. It was so good 😍 and the main steak, was so great, tender soft great taste 👅. Finishing off with a dessert which was made of coconut, which was a bit too sweet- coconut biscuit with caramel syrup, and coconut ice cream in the centre was a bit too much and it also came with melted chocolate.

If I could give 6 stars I would!! We knew the food would be fantastic (it always is) but what made the occasion was the flawless service from Manuel, our waiter. He was attentive, engaging, really helpful and knowledgeable. He also had a great sense of humour. When we go back, I’ll be certainly looking out for him! Thanks to all at Gauchos Piccadilly!

A group of us, of which a few were vegetarians and pescatarians. Vegetarian options are fantastic. Service - excellent! Staff are super friendly and gave us recommendations on dishes. The decor was dim lighting, intimate setting. We were seated on 1st floor in the round seating area which I thought was nice. They have a cloakroom available. The food was really tasty! Highly recommend the scallop! The Seabass was good (it’s on the bone) . The burrata was also really nice! Moving onto the the dessert, we tried cookie dough, banana pancake, chocolate brownie and the salted caramel cake. Banana Pancake was the favourite as the other ones were a little to sweet for me. Overall this place is targeted for the meat eaters. However as a pescatarian I absolutely loved it! Defo recommend !

I had the absolute pleasure of dining at Gaucho in Piccadilly, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience! From start to finish, everything was simply exceptional. The warm and inviting ambiance set the perfect tone for the evening, and the attentive and friendly staff made us feel truly welcomed. Now, let's talk about the food. Oh my, the food! Each dish was a masterpiece of flavors and textures. The quality of the ingredients was evident in every bite, and the presentation was stunning. Whether it was the succulent steaks cooked to perfection or the delightful assortment of sides, every aspect of the meal was a culinary delight. But what truly stood out was the impeccable service. The staff was not only knowledgeable about the menu but also went above and beyond to ensure that every need was met. They anticipated our preferences and were there at just the right moment, never intrusive but always attentive. It's rare to find a restaurant that excels in both food and service, but Gaucho at Piccadilly has certainly managed to achieve this remarkable balance. I left with a satisfied palate and a heart full of gratitude for the wonderful experience. I can wholeheartedly recommend Gaucho to anyone looking for a truly exceptional dining experience in Piccadilly. Kudos to the entire team for creating such a memorable evening!

You really can’t go wrong with Gaucho! Their Piccadilly restaurant is centrally located but also away from the hustle and bustle. Friendly staff give a warm welcome and the food is always superb. Being shown the selection of steaks and walked through the cuts really helps when choosing. A great place for a celebratory or fancy meal out.

I had a good experience at Gaucho. It’s a great nearby steakhouse if you’re staying in the Piccadilly area. The steak and bread appetizer tasted great. However I wasn’t the biggest fan of their mashed potatoes. The waiter explained each steak they offer and was very welcoming. The steaks are a bit pricey as it came to around £70 for one person. Overall it was a great experience and the restaurant was nicely decorated.

Went in for a quick lunch. Service was great and my waiter kept checking in to make sure everything was okay. The food was lovely and I honestly can’t think of anything that would make me not want to visit again. A few diners were also a bit too loud shouting to get the waiter’s attention. Will definitely see me again soon!

Myself and my housemates planned to go to Gaucho,Piccadilly. After going through many restaurants their food menu and service we decided to book at Gaucho for 6 people. It was a rather very important event for all of us since the lunch was to say Goodbye to our lovely friend. So we came to dine at one of the prestigious restaurant in London(claimed by Gaucho). We wanted to make sure it was nothing but the best for an amazing feast. All of us(minus 1) arrived together at our booking time and we entered the restaurant and walked towards the dinning area towards the left. At entering the dinning room we came across the first staff member who without hesitation or being polite to welcome us abruptly asked us to leave the room and wait for her outside, that's where the reception is she said. The reception area is a desk where when entering we founded empty with no staff present at the counter. Soon the lady and a gentleman arrived and asked us for some details and took us to a table. We informed the lady we are 1 person short and she will be arriving shortly to join us. The lady got us to a table and left all of us without taking into account if the table fits the 6 person capacity. After we sat down it took a while before a member of staff approached to check on us. The person at this time was a gentleman who left a menu for drinks and walked away. Just then i requested if we could get the set menu which was requested at the time of booking, this didn't took long before we had the menu. One of us asked at this point if we could get some water on the table please, the staff acknowledged and went off. He arrived not too long and started to rushed by pouring water into our glasses, we were 5 of us at the table and he only poured in 4 glasses and spilled some on the table which knowingly he didn't acknowledge and went away again. The spilled water remained on the table which was never cleaned off. The restaurant didn't seem busy at all but the person looking after us would take long before we could find him. We waited for him and asked if we could be moved to another bigger table since the space wasn't enough for even 5 of us, we were still waiting for another person. He didn't seem to care much and said the table next to you is the same size you can move there or take a chair for this table if you wish. We all seemed a bit puzzled at his response not to resolve the complication with the seating. We decided to remain where we were and added another chair to the table. Soon the last person arrived and we ordered the 1st and the 2nd course. Our starters were delicious and thoroughly enjoyed it. Then we got around to our main where we all ordered steak. Steak pieces were on average good size approximately 200grams each. As soon as our steak was served it took them around extra 5-7 mins to bring the side which we all ordered as chips. The combination was good and we all liked it. During the time on the table we had requested for some drinks, water, ketchup and mayonnaise. Again, the drinks were served but the water and mayonnaise was not to be seen at the table. We all came to terms that at this point that the service wasn't their best pursuit after all. As part of an excellent service you keep intouch with the customers to acknowledge them. After the mains heading towards the end we all ordered the desert, which were good! As this was an important time with our lovely friend,we wanted to make sure she walks away happy. This is where 5 of us had to make sure that we didn't make her feel that it was anything but the best for her. I am disappointed to say this that we had to fill in those areas where Gaucho couldn't come through to us. Food and service should be embedded at the core of these restaurants where every transaction and event is strictly set to serve at the highest standards! We walked away with bitterness that could have achieved thoroughly by regular trainings perhaps. Hopefully, your experience is better than ours!!

Went for dinner last night and it exceeded expectations. We ordered the burrata and bread for starts, they were sublime! Then ordered fillet steak with chips and Mac and cheese sides, again, perfectly cooked, sides were piping hot and delicious. Lemon meringue pie for dessert, also perfect. The atmosphere and decor in the restaurant was cool and buzzing. Very good steak with loads of flavour!

The venue is very cosy and they had some nice Halloween decorations. We first went to the bar for pre-dinner drinks and the bar had a wonderful fireplace. Once we arrived the bar was very busy and the staff was very friendly but didn't have much time for us at the table. When they told us the table was ready, we had to carry our glasses and the Champagne bottle with the ice bucket by ourselves until we asked a waiter to please help us. Then we went to the main dining room (once again the tables and the main dining room were very nice). The food was overpriced for the quality we got. The burrata was more like a mozzarella, the empanadas were only ok, the carpaccio had no flavor at all and the chimichurri did not taste like it should have (they added coriander). When we got to the steak, we asked for a medium rare and it was medium-well. They changed it afterwards but still, the quality of the meat for the prices they had was unreasonable. Also, we ordered carrots on the side and they were completely uncooked and the portion of the sides were very small. Finally, we ordered desserts and the pudding was so dry we did not even finish it. We were not checked back on the food either by the waiters. On a final note, we spilled some champagne in the table when we moved from the bar and the spill accompanied us throughout the whole dinner. We gave 2 stars because the wine was very nice. However, overall we were very disappointed as we had higher expectations for this type of restaurant and the prices they charge.

We were celebrating our anniversary and even though there was Covid-19 restrictions in place we still felt there was enough room. The food was delicious and we even got an "eat out to help out" discount so decent value. Service was excellent, waiters were very attentive and we even got a "happy anniversary" message on one of the desserts.

Amazing steak restaurant. Both photos are of their 400g steaks. Even though the steaks were rare, they were perfectly warm all the way through. The sauces were great and worked perfectly with chips. We also had their king oyster mushrooms, which were tasty in their own right, but don't personally think they when well with steaks.

I was not impressed by the customer service we received. A few waitresses had attitude problems and treated us with disrespect. Wannabe waitresses and lots of wannabe customers too - especially for the bottomless brunch-type offer during the weekend. Pretentious yet very average - to summarise.

The worst meal i have ever had at a Gaucho branch from start to finish. Was made to feel uncomfortable and unwelcome, steak was not cooked as asked for and service was extremely poor. Despite having raised this with management (Peter and Davide) there still has been no response even though i was promised a call. Will not be returning.

Overall very delicious dinner. Wasn't overly crowded on a Monday night at 7:30, tables had good space between them and I did see the servers spraying down the tables and chairs with what looked like a sanitizing spray. We sat for a bit after they sat us, but wasn't unreasonable. Ordered. A bottle of wine and mains/sides and the server recommended a starter because there is a wait to cook everything. I was hungry so opted for the beetroot tartare. It was really good! The server seemed a little distracted, maybe too many tables? For an upscale steakhouse there were little things that stood out, like not using a towel when pouring the red wine, and some dripping down the bottle and drops on the table when pouring. My partners complaint would be that while we ordered the steak medium rare, it didn't seem overly warm when it came out, like it had already started cooling, even though it was still warm and cooked the way we wanted -not sure of a better way to describe. Overall though it was a lovely evening and the food was excellent.

We frequently visit the Gaucho brand for special occasions, not been to this one before but it was up to the usual high standards. Felt very covid safe (although that meant that they were unable to serve the great cheesy bread and chimichurri dip "pre-starter") but the food and service were excellent. Very useful to have wine by the 500ml carafe when one of you drinks white and the other red. Never the cheapest meal but you certainly get the quality that you pay for. Recommended.

This place clearly knows how to take care of their customers. Consistently with a very nice attitude. The food is reasonably priced, always yummy and clean.

The food is amazing, the service for this level of restaurant and location, could be better.

Steak, sauces and sides were to die for. Although desserts such as the cheese platter were over priced for quality and quantity. The same goes for the brownie, it was dry and the ice cream to brownie ratio just wasn’t right.
