Choosing
SafeStay
in
Kensington
for
a
work
trip
was
my
biggest
mistake.
Having
traveled
extensively
across
Europe
and
Asia,
I
can
confidently
say
this
is
the
worst
hostel
I've
ever
encountered.
From
the
moment
I
arrived,
it
was
clear
that
everything—from
service
to
facilities—was
a
complete
nightmare.
The
supposed
facilities
were
a
letdown.
Showers
on
the
second
floor
were
all
damaged,
leaking,
and
had
poor
water
pressure.
The
cramped
space
was
unsettling;
I
could
easily
peer
over
the
partitions
yes
I
can
see
people
shower
next
to
me
I’m
6ft+.
This
is
a
family
friendly
hostel
I’m
not
sure
if
they
also
share
but
if
I
was
a
parent
I
would
never
allow
my
child
in
there!!!!!
,
with
only
two
hairdryers,
one
of
which
was
non-functional
and
dirty
to
of
course
The
so-called
'Cafe
Bar'
was
simply
an
oversized
reception
area
with
a
pool
table—nowhere
close
to
a
cafe
or
bar.
There
was
no
kitchen
or
microwave
which
means
good
luck
because
Uber
Eats
was
the
only
option
for
food,
yet
a
rat
casually
roaming
the
area
seemed
normal
to
the
staff
yes
I
ordered
Uber
eats
and
saw
one
running
literally
around
and
mentioned
this
immediately
to
staff.
The
dorms
were
a
nightmare—cramped,
dirty,
and
occupied
mostly
by
older
men
with
little
regard
for
hygiene.
The
12-person
dorm
felt
smaller
than
a
4-person
one
in
Asia
when
I
travelled!
The
outdated
damaged
windows
gave
two
choices:
freeze
or
endure
the
unbearable
smell
if
closed.
The
staff's
approach
to
complaints
was
to
move
guests
to
equally
appalling
conditions.
My
last
attempt
for
a
decent
room
turned
out
to
be
worse,
with
a
weird
smell,
lack
of
ventilation,
and
snoring
roommates.
Desperate
for
sleep
before
work,
I
sought
refuge
in
the
'Cafe
bar,'
only
to
be
abruptly
told
it's
closed???
Like
what?
I
quote
“you
have
to
go
back
in
your
room
or
outside”
End
of
conversation.
This
is
like
(4am
during
November
time
?
Wow!
2
hours
of
sleep
4day
of
work)
NICE
ONE!
The
lack
of
empathy
was
shocking.exhausted
I
couldn’t
even
argue.
The
hostel
might
look
inviting
from
the
outside,
but
it's
facade.
People
were
forced
to
sleep
in
corridors
and
stairways
due
to
the
dire
conditions
inside.
It's
bewildering
that
a
place
in
London's
Kensington
could
stoop
so
low,
offering
no
semblance
of
a
decent
hostel.
Moreover,
witnessing
a
woman's
experience—entering
the
room,
realizing
its
vile
state,
then
seeing
her
later
on
she
also
complained
and
again
she
was
told
to
either
sleep
outside
or
return
to
the
atrocious
room,
and
then
finding
her
with
her
bags
on
the
stairs—was
a
stark
example
of
the
inhumane
treatment.
Clearly
shows
they
have
no
structure
no
plan
for
situations
like
this
have
no
interest
in
the
hostel
culture
that’s
absolutely
amazing
around
the
world.
The
entire
vibe
is
off
I’ve
not
once
had
or
seen
anyone
being
encouraged
greeted
asked
how
they
been
how’s
the
stay
I
haven’t
been
told
what’s
around
what’s
interesting
backpackers
MY
OPINION
AVOID.
Work
professionals
DEFINITELY
Avoid,
Party
animals
-
NOT
A
CHANCE
-
Families
-
Be
very
careful!!!
I
implore
you,
steer
clear
of
this
place.
It's
a
shame
that
a
location
in
such
a
prestigious
area
hosts
the
worst
hostel
experience
I've
ever
encountered.
This
is
far
from
a
suitable
choice
for
any
traveler
