2 stars, really — but the location makes me bump it up to 3. If you want a hotel with proper (or even basic) air conditioning, this property is not for you. Our Executive Room never truly comfortably cooled down enough for our entire 4-night stay, and the windows didn’t open enough for useful outdoor ventilation. To the hotel’s credit, our first room was so outrageously hot that they moved us to a different room that was only barely more tolerable. I would stay here again if the air conditioning was properly functional, as our Executive Room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, and the hotel location is hard to beat. But knowing now how hot the rooms were would make me look elsewhere the next time my travels take me to London. Fix the AC and I’d gladly stay here again.

The location is great. The lobby and the lifts decoration is nice. The hotel has too many rooms and not enough lifts. The wait to go up or down is ridiculously long. The room we had was overpriced and too small. I am happy that we had carry-on luggage otherwise we could not move around the room. The different floors and the rooms need to be remodeled: old and not functional. The carpet in the hallway is stained. The amenities in the bathroom is reduced to a minimum: a small soap and a shower gel in a dispenser. The bath towels are more like regular size towels. Our safe was broken. I am surprised that no-one repaired it before renting the room. We could not use the WiFi at the same time and that was very unpleasant and frustrating.

The hotel was very decent at first, we were greeted nicely and given the room keys to the hotel room on the first floor. When we first entered the room, I immediately noticed an awful smell coming from the room and the window being left open. The room itself was a twin bed room, that was relatively small but considering the price we paid, very nice. After settling down for about an hour in the room I noticed a mouse run from underneath the bed into the hallway. I have quite literally never had this experience in my entire life. I have stayed in multiple hotels ranging from 2 stars to 5 stars, but I have never seen a mouse leave my room. I called the front desk, to which they replied that a person will escort us to a new room and have the current room locked down. The new room did not have the same smell but the window was still open. When I asked the night manager about this, she replied that the cleaners leave the windows open after cleaning. Which seems great but considering the mouse problem you would really think they would change that. The staff were accommodating and gave us free breakfast for the next day to act as an apology. In all honesty, I will NOT be staying here again. If there is one thing that is necessary for a hotel it is cleanliness. This experience was jarring and has left me with chills every time I remember it. The staff were overall very nice and everything else about the hotel was decent but the mouse incident will leave this place at the lowest of the low for me.

I’ve stayed at this hotel before in the regular small rooms. They’re decent value for money this centrally. This time we upgraded to the executive king bed room and I can’t recommend anyone doing that. We spent a lot more money on basically the same space. I suppose there was a couple of square meters more to the room but due to the layout and furniture it’s practically unusable. Also the seating section is so cramped it is best used for storage space. All in all this was disappointing due to the extra cost for a room of this type. The view from floor 7 did not make up for it. Bathroom is old and worn as is the interior of the rest of the room. Bed not great for comfort. Also be aware that you’ll usually spend 5-10 minutes waiting for elevators to arrive. Might be better to have a room lower down and use the stairs.

This hotel is great value and so well placed. Shops aplenty on the doorstep, ditto coffee shops. Subway is two minutes away. Dominion Theatre close by. Hotel is friendly and accommodating with great breakfasts. We will definitely be back.

On our first night my wife decided to take a shower, we discovered we had no hot water.I rang reception but no one picked up so I made my way down to reception. I explained the situation to the young lady on desk duties who informed me that there was in fact trouble with the hot water and maintenance were working to fix it. I explained that we'd had a long first day, just wanted a shower and bed, could we change the room? I was informed there was no point as all the rooms were the same but I would be informed by telephone in my room when the situation had been resolved. What could have been done differently? It would have been nice to be told there was a problem instead of having to go down to reception to find out for myself. A different room offered would have resolved everything that followed.. Reception rang my room at approximately 9:30pm to say the problem had been resolved and hot water should be available by 10:15pm at latest. By 11:00 - and being extremely tired by this point - I made my way back down to reception to tell them again that we had no hot water. The gentleman I spoke to (I didn't get his name unfortunately, it was late, I was tired) immediately said he would try our adjacent rooms and we could move to a different one. Within five minutes of being back in my room, the gentleman knocked with new key cards for room 804 (we had been in 801) we got to our room, my wife had her shower (as did i) and we got to bed around 00:30am. I was told that my problem had been logged and that I'd be able to speak to the manager in the morning. Next morning I went to reception to make a complaint to the duty manager but was told to come back after 11:00am. We only had two nights in London and wanted to make the most of it so it was late afternoon before I got to reception again. Again I was told the duty manager was busy but my complaint had been logged and that I would be offered compensation, what did I think was fair? All I wanted was an apology from senior management and if they thought it fair they could decide on compensation. I was thinking about coming back to London with my wife in early December but it seemed unlikely that I'd be stopping at St. Giles to be perfectly honest. We left it there, they'd be in touch. On returning to hotel Friday night after the theatre I checked with reception but had no messages. Saturday morning I checked again with reception on checking out but again no messages. At no time did anyone try to contact me after that first phone call on Thursday night when I was told (incorrectly) that the problem with my room had been resolved. It really is such a shame as everyone I spoke with was extremely courteous and professional, I guess the messages just got lost. As I have already written, we were in London for two days, I felt like I spent half my time stood in reception which frankly was the last place I wanted to be. This could all have been avoided if I'd simply been offered a different room when I first reported it on our first night. They have lovely, friendly people working for them, it's a shame my wife and I won't be back. I got the opportunity to tell St Giles - again - a few days after getting back on a feedback form they sent me. I never heard back of course..

Stayed here for the past 5 days! It was clean and has very considerate staff. I enjoyed being greeted and chatting in the morning by the man working the buffet! The lobby staff are very kind. As when I had lost my key and inquired about a later check out hour, they were quick to help and informative. The concierge is also a plus, as the check out times don't always align with flights. It is a convenient service and he was friendly. The central location is great, with many close restaurants and shopping. The hotel is also just a short walk to the Tottenham Court underground entrance. My only complaint is the rooms do not get dark enough at night as there was no curtain in the single twin rooms. There is only blinds. Otherwise, the rooms are comfortable and the bathrooms are sleek. I enjoyed my stay here at the St. Giles Hotel.

Basically the only thing the hotel has going for it is the exceptional concierge (he is a wonderful person) and the location. Decor dated, reminiscent more of a cheap motel. VERY LACKING hygiene. I had PINK HAIR (ew! My hair is black) and MOLD on the walls of my shower. I asked the receptionist kindly to have housekeeping remove it at 8AM. I came back to my room at 10 PM and saw the pink hair still on my shower walls and mold on the ceiling. I feel like even in a 3* it should be a basic necessity not to gag while showering. Pics attached.

We stayed for 2 nights (Wed-Fri). Fabulous hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Lovely room, small but equipped with everything we needed. Clean with a really comfy bed - Good nights sleep had. Breakfast was fabulous (Buffet Style) lots of choice and nice and fresh. It was my birthday (Lovely touch from hotel staff with banner and card) Perfect location with easy access to the tube station. We had a great time and will definitely be back.

The best part about this hotel is the location. The rooms need some renovation. My room had some mold on the ceiling in the bathroom and near the windows. The beds were comfier than the pillows. They didn't stock our room up enough toilet paper and I had to flag down the cleaning staff to get more. In addition, the shower water took about 5+ minutes to become warm. Cucina Restaurant downstairs was nice as well and it was nice that they gave us a 25% discount. Great choice for location if you're trying to save some money. Not ideal for upscale hotel amenities and rooms.

When we arrived the system was down so no one could check in... One would think guests would be offered a complementary drink or similar but no. Just advised to wait in lounge area. We know it wasn't their fault but staff standing around smiling and having a giggle didn't sit well. We waited over an hour when we accidentally found out that they were able to check in again. No communication, no apology. When my partner raised concerns about all these later with Benjy (Duty Manager?) He could not have been less interested. Room was fine, location is good. We stayed the one night only and at 9.30 am on the Sunday were disturbed by housekeeping knocking on the door. Check out was at 11 am. Expected better. Poor customer service overall but I have the feeling they really don't care as they can fill the hotel due to its location. We won't be back though. 18 December. I have emailed you as requested .

Good friendly staff and clean and tidy reception area. Check in was easy and quick. The room was clean and tidy, with a view over London. Breakfast is a good price - an all you can eat self service buffet style. The breakfast room was clean and tidy and well stocked. Good location, a 5 minute walk from Tottenham Court Road tube station. Good selection of pubs and restaurants close by. Some Theatres within walking distance.

Good location! Room had a living space separate from the bed/sleeping area. Comfortable bed, small shower space but water had a good pressure and temperature for a nice shower. However, the drainage was not good: the sink in the bathroom was blocked, toilet was very difficult to flush. This made brushing teeth or using the toilet very inconvenient/uncomfortable. Somehow, another guest was able to get access into our room with their key/card. What a «pleasant» surprise! I hope the staff can work on these points. Otherwise, it is a nice place to stay in London.

Decent room except there was no AC which was not well described in the website. Only about half the rooms have air conditioning so be careful what you book during the summer. Also in dire need of some upkeep with the carpet worn almost completely through in places but the room was clean and the staff were pleasant and it's a good location.

We used the hotel overnight whilst we went to a show. Very nice place. Clean, tidy, and the staff made us feel as if we were at the Savoy. The restaurant was terrific both for our evening meal and breakfast. A 24 hour bar with prices that seemed to be lower than one would expect for a Capital City bar, we had an really nice stay.

Worked fine as an affordable hotel for a one-night stay. Perfect location and room was clean enough. Bed and pillows not very comfortable, though extra pillows were provided. Had loud construction noise above our room from 9am. Cleaner walked into our room at 10am (before check-out time) as we were getting ready to leave, even though we hadn't put a 'ready to clean' notice on the door.

Single Rooms are very small and are only suitable for 1 or 2 nights. Elevators are a disaster, 2 lifts were operational which was not enough for the size of the hotel, elderly guests were forced to navigate down narrow back stairs, when I said this to the duty supervisor I was informed that it is not his fault that guests decide to check out at the same time. Ran out of Shower Gel and Shampoo after the first night, wasn't replenished, had to ask reception for replacement. Rooms are cold, there is some sort of fan thing in the room that is not adequate to heat the room and is extremely noisy during the night. The room is dark because the curtains doesn't open fully, there is no full length mirror in the bedroom. Breakfast is a disaster, qued for 15 minutes to get access to the restaurant, had to wait on mugs and glasses. Toaster was not working correctly had to put in bread 4 times and it was still bread, after waiting for this and everything else my breakfast was cold, didn't have break here again. Location is the best

The manager was exceptionally helpful! We had left the hotel and forgotten about an item in the safe. He arranged for someone to retrieve the item for us and personally called me to share the good news. Also the location is great. If you are from the US, note that a double room is quite snug, but we didn't want to spend much time in the hotel anyway. The hotel is undergoing a renovation, which looks like it will be a nice, fresh facelift. While I did not hear any remodeling noise, some of the elevators did not seem to be working, which caused a wait at times. I saw notes about the AC, and ours worked just fine.

Very good breakfast. Very good location. However the hotel is definitely not a 3 star hotel because of the conditions of the room ( no air conditioning, the size of the rooms, very few towels and the only “add-on” you find is a soap. Clean sheets but the mirrors were very dirty as well as the kettle…

Stayed for 8 nights with my wife. Very nice room but had to move after 5 days as we had broken pipe in toilet so got upgraded room which was very nice. Although it was very quiet the staff were very friendly and the breakfast was very nice.Have been to this hotel several times and would highly recommend it.

Good hotel in a great location. We loved the proximity of it to the main touristy spots such as Trafalgar Square, Big Ben, Chinatown etc. A lot of options around for restaurants and bars. The staff were welcoming from the receptionist to the concierge team, especially Nicola. We booked a twin room without breakfast for around £140. We found it to be expensive for a 3 star hotel but it’s London.

We picked this hotel due to the great location for the half marathon. Perfect choice. Staff were amazing, all friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was great, everything we needed. Room was very clean, yes maybe slightly on the small side but was ideal for us. Only downside room in need of a of a little updating.

Perfect location for central London, theatres and night life only a short walk away. The staff were all very polite and welcoming on check in The double room was ample size with a really clean bathroom. Only slight criticism was the lack of view, we literally had a room looking at a concrete wall, but this made no impact on our stay

Booked a standard room- prepared for a small room to be pleasantly surprised to find there was 2 bedrooms .. a double and a single in a separate room with the wardrobes and facilities, with a separate walk-in shower bathroom!! Was spotless.. housekeeping services during the stay was brilliant, leaving EVERYTHING totally cleaned for a stay over 👍 concierge was great arranging taxis and giving directions.. they seem to have endless knowledge. Very reasonable prices to be a few steps away from Oxford Street, and 10 mins walk to Trafalgar Sq!! Breakfast had everything you would need!! We came down at different times each morning, and the food was always fresh and hot. BE PREPARED FOR A BUSY ENVIRONMENT at breakfast 👍would definitely return again.

Great hotel for staying in London. Handy for all the theatres. Rooms were comfortable and breakfast buffet was great. Stored our cases when we checked out so that we could do some last minute sightseeing. Recommend this hotel for staying in London

In a handy location (we went to the Phoenix Theatre just down the road), rooms were okay but found that the shower could have been bigger or better arranged (almost impossible to shower without getting hair wet as cubicle was tiny and the shower head unmovable). It was great that they kept our suitcase for free the next day after checking out so we could go out exploring easier. Friendly staff. Delighted we spotted the "London Eye" from our window.😊

The hotel room and facilities are really nice. I really like the bed and the room is really clean with a nice view. In fact, the reservation team had arranged a simple decor (2 balloons and a card) together with a piece of cake for my birthday. However, what’s lacking is the service quality. Frontline staff are emotionless, cold. It’s a pity that the hotel is so nice but the people are just so unfriendly.

Second time staying at St. Giles and we had a fabulous time. First of all, the location is amazing! A one minute walk from Tottenham Court road tube station. All the shops you could want in walking distance. There's a gorgeous crepe cafe right beside the hotel. The room was recently renovated, bed was very comfortable and the shower had hot water, all we needed! The rooms are small but it was perfect for us. Price was fair and the staff are excellent. Fantastic concierge service. The one issue as other reviews suggest, are that the elevators are out of sync with one another and you could be left waiting a couple minutes on your floor to go down. The elevator would also open on floors to no one getting on which was a bit frustrating but nothing major. This was not a deal breaker for us at all and it is clear that they are renovating the elevators to improve the experience. Would absolutely stay here again :)

Right so….you got to book the new rooms, you just have to, this is not an option it is a must, it will make your stay a thousand times better. Location is fantastic everywhere is walkable, next to a bus stop and tube station this alone is worth 2 stars in London. But you just have to book the new rooms. Breakfast is included and is a great you also get a discount on the hotel restaurant for dinner. Again the rooms, don’t cheap out get the new rooms you will enjoy your stay.

We arrived over an hour before the allocated check-in time and we were allowed to check in, this was really appreciated as we wanted to get exploring as early as possible. The price was great for the location. The rooms were comfortable and clean. We were on the 5th floor and we didn't hear any noise. The staff were great, especially the guys behind the concierge desk. I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel.

We have stayed at St Giles a number of times now due to the great location. The hotel staff are genuinely very easy to deal with and on our recent stay this month they where accommodating to our needs and allowed us to check in just before 2pm which was appreciated as we had my disabled parents with us. The rooms are okay, small but have everything you need in them, was clean and comfortable including the bed. There was a lot of choice at breakfast and it was self serve which made it easier and quicker. It is in a great location for theatres and a short walk away from Trafalgar Square as well which was great. It most certainly isn’t the poshest of hotels in the area but you are paying for the location. Sarah the hotel manager was really helpful and understanding and would recommend speaking to her if you have any problems at all. We would be happy to return to the hotel again when we next visit London as there are clear improvements always being made.

For the price you pay i'ts a great place. Rooms may be a little small but it was fine for me. Very comfortable beds. There is always hot water in the shower and the employees and staff are always kind and nice and happy to help you. The biggest advantage of the hotel is its location, the center of London, a few minutes' walk from the tourist centers and restaurants of the city. Excellent location!!!!!!

A very good budget hotel in a fantastic London location. Our room was nice spacious and clean. The bathroom was good and the water pressure was excellent. There was a kettle and tea and coffee in the room as well. Daily room attendance was very good. There are three restaurants associated with the hotel which makes life easy. Sage and Chili. a good buffet breakfast is available is recommended and you can get a discount on meals depending on your booking details. All in all, very pleasant, great service, good value. Good staff. I will recommend to all my friends.

I have given all 4 stars to the location of the hotel. The most disappointed thing was having the same breakfast every day. No change at all. How can someone eat the same thing every morning, especially for vegetarian and vegan. The room was tiny but had a window, which was great. They have a problem with lift and it's too slow in morning and evening. You may need to wait for 30 minutes or use stairs, which is another hassle, especially for old people. Please do something with your lifts and breakfast. Everything else was okay. Location plus a room with a window was the best thing about the hotel.

Stayed in this hotel over the weekend before Christmas (15th-17th Dec). I had booked to see an evening performance of a show and wanted somewhere that wasn't too far for me to travel back and forth to especially being a single young woman! This hotel was perfect walking distance from the local attractions and Tottenham Court Road Station. The staff were lovely and the hotel exceeded expectations! The lifts however are extremely slow so be prepared to wait like 5 minutes for the lift to reach your floor! I would however stay here again!

Really really bad customer experience… My friend stayed at this hotel and we had an extremely poor experience from the front desk last night. The staff were rude and unprofessional and had forgotten that they work in the hospitality and lodging sector especially considering the price and what the hotel is supposed to be offering. After saying good night to my friend my phone ran out of battery, so I returned to the reception foyer of the hotel to firstly ask if they would be so kind to call my friend so that I can use their charger, allowing me to get home safely. This was ‘against policy’ to do this and despite being asked to spell the name they refused to get in touch with the room despite the fact I was with that individual just a few minutes prior. If they couldn’t assist with this ask, it turned out that out of the 5 staff that I was interacting with, none of them had a iPhone charger or could assist me charge my phone so I could get home. Obviously I was a little frustrated at this point, and regrettably did show this, however the team did nothing to accommodate me or provide any kind of solution, only escalating this to their manager who although showed a relative level of professionalism, still didn’t help at all, just repeating the ‘policy’. This experience was so very different to a recent hotel stay in Florence, Italy, where the hotel staff were so friendly and would do their upmost to provide a great experience for their guests, and the comparison to this was so opposite. Although not a guest, I can confirm I will not be staying in this hotel or reccomending to anyone visiting London, due to very stubborn, and unaccommodating staff at the hotel. The phone battery is of course not the fault of the hotel however a lack of customer service resulted in me having to walk 90 minutes in the middle of the night to try and flag down a taxi to get home. It’s shame that my friends hotel couldn’t help here. The rooms are apparently very small too. Thanks

Stayed for my 40th Birthday . Hanoosh on Reception offered us a free upgrade to the roof top room with a panoramic view! Fantastic! Room was clean and a decent size. Nice and quiet too. Had a good nights sleep, comfy beds. Buffet breakfast was as standard. Very central. Overall happy with our stay. Thank you

The hotel is in an good, central location and my room was clean, but this room was way too expensive for the size. This hotel is basically a converted youth hostel, and the rooms are absolutely tiny. The lifts take an age to get to your floor, so I needed up taking the stairs every day, which are less than luxurious. This would be a fine budget hotel, but the cost of these rooms is way too overpriced for what you get.

I wouldn't say this is a 4star hotel as have stayed in cheaper hotels (premier inn and travel lodge) which have nicer and cleaner rooms. Oana on reception is lovely and when we told her our first room had other peoples hair on the bed and dirty toilet floor so she moved us straight away. Second room has lots of stains on the carpet so for a refurbished room is disappointing. Luckily its only one night we are here.

The room was small with very little ventilation. Duvet cover was not ironed. Asked for sugar never received it. The hotel needs a deep clean, groves in lift dirty, spit marks on the wall near the window in the room , toilet holder dirty and cheap toilet paper. Towels too small and rough. Used the ironing room bag of rubbish left in there for two days.

Recently come back from a weekend at this hotel where we stayed on the 9th floor. Lovely, modern room and bathroom. Everything worked well and all very clean. Bed was very comfy and could turn heating on when we wanted, which was ideal. Staff at reception were very helpful and pleasant. Breakfast selection was very good, hot and cold options. Excellent location, right near tube station. Overall, a very good experience, would 100% recommend and hope to visit again!

Stayed a week. Upgraded to a suite one night. Good value in central London. A little tired but rooms are large for centre you get draws and wardrobe. Room if you are 6' plus. Breakfast is good. Restaurant was superb. Simple menu but cooked to perfection. Could not understand why it was not packed every night. Italian chef was very talented. T bone, and lamb chops were my favourites. You can't get anything this good near by for the money. Staff were helpful. Book direct is my tip.

My brother discovered St Giles bringing school trips from Athens to London. Two friends & I had booked a night on our way to the Eurostar & Bruges. Bruges was cancelled due to Covid, so we decided to just visit London instead & extended to 2 nights. We booked 3 single rooms & on arrival, the friendly receptionist made sure our rooms were together on the 6th floor. The rooms were big enough to stay in and clean. As well as the bed and ensuite, there was shower gel, a kettle, hairdryer & a fan. We were amazed that within walking distance were- Oxford Street, British Museum, Covent Garden, Leicester Square etc. Tottenham Court Road tube is 1 minute walk. In the road are many cafés & a Sainsbury’s shop. I don’t think you would find better value for money in central London in such a good location. We will return on the way to our next trip to Europe next spring.

Excellently positioned hotel - perfect for shopping as Oxford Street is just around the corner as is a huge Primark. West End theatres are easily walkable. We always stay in this hotel when visiting London and have done for years. Four stars because some of the rooms are a little tired but we just paid £65 for a room in central London through a special offer which is a brilliant price so I'll forgive the decor!

Went back to our usual hotel for my Birthday at the end of November. There was a lovely young lady helping us to pre check in so we could leave our luggage and she appeared to be new & and a grumpy older lady who really does not appear happy in her role. She approached the young lady who we were standing in front of and spoke to her ignoring "The Customer" We were enquiring about an early check in & room upgrade. Birthday you know.....just be nice!!!! Both declined which is fine. Anyway, later on at check in we are told welcome for 4 nights... here is your keycard... no cleaning, no room replenishment & if you need anything ask the concierge!!!!! Why are hotels using covid as an excuse not to clean? Disgusting!!!We have been coming here for years but needless to say this is our last visit!!! I am not begging for a service .....going away for a break is now stressful so always check the hotels that are taking full advantage of government guidelines........and avoid them!!! We stayed in the old tatty rooms on floor 8. Our stay in Bristol a few weeks ago was amazing & all services were provided as normal so cannot wait to go back. To think we were so excited to be coming back here too as missed our 2020 visit....

The best thing about this hotel is it’s location. Very central and tube station within 2 minutes walk. They also did a good breakfast. The room sizes however are very small and felt a bit cramped and they are extremely warm. The rooms had an electric fan which we needed to have on all night and we kept the window open too but it was still too hot for us.

In short: Amazing location, but not a good room for the price. Pros: The staff is really nice and helpful. The location is great! It is really close to Tottenham Court Road underground station, and we were approximately 15 minutes from every attraction, shop or wanted restaurant. Cons: The price is really high for the given rooms - Our room was small, the ventilation and heating did not work and the shower and toilets area is really small. Two days in a row that our room wasn't cleaned, even though we put the "please clean" sign on the door.

It's a very small single room but it's got everything you'll need. I'm not used to sleeping pillow this high so it wasn't very comfort but it's not the hotel fault. The hotel is a very big building but it seems they tried to squeezed as many room as they can. The shower works but it doesn't let you turn left or right and hold in position, the gravity will just bring it back to original direction. The duvet is very heavy and can be uncomfortable sometimes when trying to change sleeping position. The blind in the window doesn't pull up, so you can't really have a decent unobstructed view. Hotel staffs were very lovely though and the location is very convenient.

Lobby was decorated fine! First impression was great and looked just like the photos. It went downhill after that. Lifts - literally waited a good 5 minutes anytime I wanted to go up or down. Not only is there too many rooms / floors for the amount of lifts, the lifts itself were old, rocker and loud. The corridors were really narrow especially the room I was staying in, I don’t understand how anyone with a pushchair or wheel chair would easily get around. The room was like stepping into an old 80’s board room, complete with wooden walls. The carpets were worn and dirty, and the room was hot, very hot. I opened the window (which had a broken blind) only to find I looked over some kind of machine / fan that was so loud. The bathroom was was tiny, the sink had what I can only describe as dried food from the previous persons brushing their teeth :( The bed wasn't comfy, and I felt itchy the whole night. The breakfast buffet was ok, especially for only being £10.50. Overall - the location is fab but that’s it. The rooms needs a huge overhaul and revamp.

It is a perfectly adequate hotel in a great location. Rooms are small and several in my group had faulty outlets or switches in their rooms. My TV turned itself on in the middle of the night twice, which the staff resolved by unplugging it. The breakfast is good, though, and runs pretty late in the morning, and you can walk to lots of central locations.

Whatever you do, never stay here. I don’t care how good the deal is, it’s not worth it. This was literally the grossest hotel room I’ve ever seen in my whole life. The lobby looks fine upon first glance, but as soon as you get into the hallways you realize you’re in a gross and dangerous motel. The room we were giving had stains everywhere, not a single bathroom light, and open vents all over the wall with dust falling out. It was truly appalling. Upon seeing the state of the room, I left immediately. I booked my room through Get A room, so was told by the front desk clerk that If get a room called him he would approve a refund no problem. However once get a room called, the hotel denied ever saying that. They are unprofessional and rude, and I am still fighting with them over my refund weeks later. I booked 8 nights and didn’t even stay 10 minutes. Save yourself. You will literally get diseases in that hotel room.

Great location with easy access to The British Museum, Covent Garden, Oxford Street and Soho. However, it is dated and while there was some work going on, my room was very small and drab and the heating was on with no way to turn off so it got stuffy. Bed was too soft, while the pillow was too hard and bedding was clean but the duvet was so heavy I felt trapped. En-suite shower room was nice with excellent water pressure. Finally, the lifts. These were so slow there was almost always a queue of people not willing to navigate the narrow stairs. Not a bad place but could do so much better.

My daughter and I booked the theatre deal . That included the twin city room, evening meal and breakfast. The hotel is central. Very good value for money. The room was very clean. The staff were polite. The food was satisfactory. Only negative is that we should have booked to stay longer .

Room was larger than many in this price range. Bed was comfortable, if a little worn. Shower was excellent with good pressure and temperature range. Staff member who checked me in was polite and efficient. Based on my stay I will be looking to use this hotel again in the future.

Nice hotel in good location with a few small issues. Television in room is extremely small. Luckily I was just there to sleep for a night so not a huge deal that evening. It also takes quite a long time to get a lift. Especially going down to the lobby. Lifts are small and often at capacity when it stopped at my floor leaving me to wait 5-15 minutes to get on one. Soap dispenser in shower was empty. Prepaid for the room on a 3rd party app. A week later still have an unexplained charge of $159 on my card with no response back from hotel. So now cost me approx $300 to have a room for 12 hours on a Wednesday night.

The room was tiny, you could not open the window as the noise from some generator or similar was absolutely deafening. It was a hot night which made sleep very difficult. Bed and pillows were comfy The shower was very high entrance and exit, I'm six foot but still tripped getting out of the shower . Sometimes in Life you get what you pay for, that is the case here. The room was cheap as was the experience.

We stayed for 4 days and 3 nights in 3 rooms. The hotel's location is great! The breakfast was good, I love mushroom and ham. However, the cleaner didn't replace the tissue paper for us. On the first day, the tissue box only had 3 pieces of tissue. I put it on the desk, but they didn't replace it. On Day 3, I put it on the bed, believing they must have seen it, but they still didn't replace it. It was a joke! Additionally, they didn't clean the tea cups, and the bed was dirty.

Very disappointed. We booked this hotel because it has a good location and was cheap, but the pictures and description were nice and we were happy to have found such a good deal. After check in, we went to the room, which was tiny, old, run down and things like the sink was broken (chipped) the shower had no water pressure and no hot water, we went back down and told them. Then we got another room in the same category, we were okay with the room but when waking up the next morning, the room right above us was having construction from 8.30am in the morning onwards. We were very frustrated, it was super loud and we were wondering why they ,,rent“ out the rooms that are in the part where the construction is. The hotel was definitely not fully booked out, it had 4 towers and I think 11 or 12 floors. So why would they put people in the rooms near the construction. We went down again and told them about the issue and they gave us another room, which was okayish - still dirty, still run down, towels dirty, broken things. When checking out, we wanted to store the suitcases at the concierge desk, which we have many people seen doing for the last 6 nights that we stayed there. Then there was a sign put up on Sunday saying today they have a charge of 1£ per item (only on Sundays). Nobody let us know in advance, it’s a normal service they offer but surprisingly on Sunday they don’t do that and charge for it. Staying for 7 nights and not even being able to store the luggage for an hour is really bad and I would also say unfair. We are very unhappy with the experience and can’t recommend anyone going there.

Only good thing is the location! We were given a 'complementary ugrade' thinking it was a good thing. It wasn't. Room was very basic and small. Bed was unbelievably noisy, no hot water for a morning shower and a noise that can only be described as a jet engine parked on the roof all night keeping us awake. Tried to speak to the duty manager on call (Paul) but he dismissed us and said someone else will be in contact to deal with it. Being given an upgrade to the roof top room also ment needing 2 lifts to get there, one of which rarely worked. When it did it did, it had a mind of it's own. Walking up and down that many stairs wasn't in our plans! As I said, location was the only good thing, close to the station and lots to do and see. Such a shame for the price paid!

I stayed at this hotel Weds 20th December in room 935. To be fair the rooms are basic but clean and comfortable and the bar and breakfast are nice. However DO NOT STAY IN ROOM 935 . All night long I was kept awake by a trolley or similar being wheeled across the floor above at regular intervals so had no sleep whatsoever.. I tried to find the source of the noise but could not gain access to the floor above and I couldn't go down to reception as the lifts weren't working. I reported the noise in the morning expecting at least a part refund but the guy on reception refused just saying he would look into it.
