If
you
want
to
be
walking
distance
from
amazing
museums,
theater
and
tons
of
fun
pubs,
this
is
a
good
choice.
If
you
are
looking
for
serenity
and
calm,
this
is
not
the
right
neighborhood!
Once
in
the
hotel,
it’s
calmer
and
the
pace
feels
more
relaxed.
Our
room
was…odd.
Very
comfortable
bed,
useful
desk
area,
adequate
bath,
but
our
“view”
was
of
the
back
of
another
building,
which
was
disconcerting.
The
service
is
attentive,
if
not
memorably
friendly.
However,
the
doorman
was
absolutely
charming!
Breakfast
in
the
executive
lounge
was
nice
(good
selection,
helpful
service),
but
the
room,
again,
had
some
oddities.
One
of
our
tables
was
positioned
such
that
if
I
pushed
back
my
chair,
it
pulled
on
the
electrical
cord
of
a
lamp
that
nearly
fell
on
the
next
table.
Oops.
Overall,
a
good
place
to
stay
if
you
like
being
in
the
center
of
things.
The
Tower
and
The
Globe
are
a
little
far,
but
the
British
Museum,
the
Courtauld
Gallery
and
too
many
other
great
museums
to
list
are
all
right
there,
as
is
the
whole
West
End
theater
district.
