This place is absolutely atrocious! The staff are barely present and really don't do anything to try to mingle or help the guests who are staying there unite in any way, they are way too busy mingling amongst themselves and doing the bare minimum in their own jobs as basic, uneducated, no customer service oriented homeless losers do. Also, they have no activities at all which was quite disappointing for a hostel of their size. The actual property is disgustingly filthy and dilapidated. This hostel resembles a homeless shelter rather than an actual hostel. They talk about how they deep clean each day, yet I don't know exactly who's standard of deep cleaning is leaving the property with tumbleweeds of dust and grime, bed bugs, roaches, mice, dirty and stained bed linens, filthy bathrooms that smell of sewer and feces, disgusting floors and tables that are sticky with the residue of substances unknown, and unkept, untidy and supremely gross common areas that you feel almost uncomfortable to sit down in, let alone enjoy. If you say you do deep clean and yet there are 2 inches of dust under each bed and the bathrooms are atrocious with hair, throw-up, dirty towels, leftover shampoo bottles, garbage, the smell of mold and feces, then that is not cleaning. The bathrooms are atrocious. The kitchen is abysmal. And what makes this location even more disgusting is the horrible treatment by the property manager, trash that needs to be taken out, to the paying guests. If you complain, they will try to make you out to be the bad guy, disrespect you, and ban you from the property. Mind you it's not a big deal to be banned from what seems to be a crackhead hostel or homeless shelter, but it is quite disgusting the audacity of the property manager. The fact that they choose to treat pained customers with an opinion about the disgusting garbage humans that work there and the atrocious standards of the cleaning staff like garbage because they are garbage themselves.

The high rating for this place doesn't fit this hostel. It is an ok hostel. I stayed in it for just over a week. There is no lift as stated, so climbing lots of stairs with luggage is a little difficult. I did not find the staff to be as friendly as all the other reviews. They weren't rude, but not friendly either. I had to always initiate the hello when I passed them. One disgusting thing a staff member did, was not flush the public toilet (on ground level) after he urinated in it as well as all over the toilet seat, it also sounded like he didn't wash his hands and he then went to play the piano in the common area. There is no advertised social events that I saw in the hostel to meet others. All over the building is signage saying they want full star ratings and so they will fix anything and to contact them. I notified them that the bathroom clothes hanger was broken and hanging off the door, reception noted it down and it was never fixed. Our bathroom door was very hard to open and close as it hasn't been fitted properly. The shower is very small. One of the rooms on the same level as our room had hooligans causing all sorts of ruckus at 11pm on a week night. They had done this a couple of times during the week. I shouldn't be surprised as the price of the rooms would invite this type of customers. A couple of good things is, they do clean it daily and the beds are nice and clean. The location is good, it is very close to the bus stops and roughly 10 minute's walk to the Underground. Overall, I would not stay in this hostel again.

I had such a good experience in this hostel, I have been in many places in my life but never had such a good welcome feeling. All the staff was so nice and friendly specially Jeff in the reception always try to help out. The hostel is very clean but a bit more painting in the rooms can improve the place even better. Thank you and I will definitely will come back

hostel is not bad, very normal. But several users don't seem to understand what a hostel is. It is important to both try not to be too loud and not to complain if the surroundings are too noisy. If we all followed a few rules, it would be a better hostel. p.s. I woke up and a woman was changing in front of me. She complained about me seeing her change her clothes. The hostel should warn their users not to complain about such things. I am totally unwilling to do so.

Pros: - Excellent location - Great service from the staff - Beautiful building Cons- - No lift, so if you're on the 4th floor it's not easy. - Rooms are too narrow. - Not enforcing hostel rules. (There are people leaving food and weed in rooms causing it to smell)

I've given 3 stars because it IS a hostel, (it's never going to be a 5 star hotel, but then it doesn't claim to be, then again I don't have 5 star money), but for a hostel it was great. It was clean (not perfect, but good enough), the bed was comfy (although we had a single size duvet in a double cover on a double bed for 2 people), the staff were friendly and helpful, the location is great, there are plenty of travel essentials available to purchase from the desk if you run out/forget anything (reasonably priced too). So, if you're after something that is cheap for the area and will do you as a place mainly to crash, then it is ideal and I'd highly recommend it for young travellers. If you have any sort of mobility issues, I'd avoid (lots of stairs). Otherwise, a decent place to stay.

The location is good. That is about all this hostel has going for it. Me and my friend (two 20 yr old women) booked a 10 bed mixed dorm and were surprised to notice that all of our roommates were men above the age of 50. The website says there is an age limit but there isnt. Keep in mind before booking!

A well-managed hostel with friendly and professional staff. I traveled solo but met a lot of interesting people. I also used the lounge space where I worked from time to time. I stayed in a shared room with 5 other people and it went all great. Bedding just fine, also cleaning and some small but beautiful window view.

Oh god the CEILINGS. I loved how high the ceilings were in this hostel. It makes you feel like you're not stuffed into a room with 12 other people. Instead it feels spacious. Also nothing better than hearing that ac kick in. The kitchen is well equipped, 3 fridges, 2 sinks, 3 stovetops and plenty of spices/food/oil left over from others. It connects directly into a common area with "park bench" style seating and also the more traditional "seats around a table". I recommend staying here. The location is perfect as well, all the sights you want to see in a reasonable distance with public transport or by feet. The staff is friendly and helpful. There is also a nice lounge to hang out in with a piano, books, couches, and i'm pretty sure that there's a projector in there.

I booked into the 12 bed mixed room and there was no airflow so that place reeked of body odour. There aren't enough bathrooms as compared to other hostels. No soap or toilet paper in my dorms en suite and nowhere to dry your hands not even an air dryer. Staff swapped my bed without telling me while I was out for dinner, came back and had to sleep in the used bed that I had been swapped to as it was 10 pm so I couldn't disturb anyone else in the room by asking for them to change the linens. I ended up just forfeiting my next two nights and losing that money.

Went for a quick trip to London and I could not find a better place to stay. Perfect location, so you can visit all the places just by walking. Very kind crew that helped me with all my questions (even the weird ones), keeping the hostel clean and in very friendly atmosphere. Specially thanks to Leo - helpful and kind, professional in every way. I’ll visit this place again for sure!

Such a nice stay!! The staff are very helpful and nice. Have great recommendations and got to know the guests, and always saw them cleaning. (Loved Oscar he was amazing!) For the price you pay, the location is perfect and very walkable close to everything, rooms and toilets clean, people very nice, kitchen and laundry. They even have game nights to get to know staff and other travelers. Would stay here again!

Just to warn, there.are a lot of steps, going up to the rooms and down to the kitchen or laundry. (Second floor means third floor so 3 flights if stairs) The rooms are nice, well organized, but the bathroom could use some small corner platform for toiletries. The person in the front desk was very nice and warm. The location is excellent. Lovely neighborhood, close to Victoria and Albert Museum, which I love and to Kensington palace and gardens. This is a beautiful park with ample avenues where people go for a stroll.

Good hostel with very nice common rooms and kitchen. Very helpful and nice staff who sorted everything out as fast as possible. But they have to work on cleanliness in the bathrooms. Everything was super clean besides that! Will definitely come back!

Great hostel on a great location. For the price you can't beat it. Staff exceptionally friendly and helpful (big thanks to Marc & Co.). I was in a 4-bed dormitory for women on the 2nd floor, which was bright, clean and practical. Bathroom clean, only the shower curtain could be exchanged for a newer one in a timely manner. Hyde Park, Museums around the corner. Bus stops between 20 and 200 meters away. Will definitely came back.

I don't remember when was the last time I wanted to write a good reference. However, I was so impressed with Astor Hyde Park hostel, that I would definitely give it more than 5 stars! I can say for sure that it was the best hostel in London I've ever visited. For such money you won't find a better place to stay. Astor has everything you need: a comfortable room, useful facilities, great design, wonderful location, awesome atmosphere...I liked everything! Personnel is also very helpful and understanding. When I had to check out, I needed to leave my luggage till the next day. On the information desk I found out that unfortunately they cannot keep it overnight. Astor offers visitors a storage for free and it can be full on weekends - the time when I wanted to leave my bag. However, when I explained my situation to the girl on a reception desk, she agreed to keep my bag till the next day, which was extremely helpful. And they didn't even charge me! While in other hostels you should pay at least £3 even if you want to leave your luggage for a few hours until check in. Therefore, I want to express my sincere gratitude to the owners and to all people who work there. Thank you for making inexpensive and comfortable traveling possible! I'm really glad that nowadays not every hostel cares just about money, charging for every single thing. In Astor I felt that first of all, they care about people. That's why I definitely recommend them! Continue in the same spirit:)

(Translated by Google) The shower water pressure is low and the temperature is lukewarm. Not clean. Also, I think it's luck The number of customers in the same room was the lowest. (Because the price is reasonable, I write it after knowing that there is no help for it) Lie on the floor, speak loudly until 1am, even with caution, loudly watching the video from the morning laugh. Such. Also, since there is no elevator, be careful of people with large luggage. (The front staff didn't help, so I asked another guest in a gentle passage) It's expensive in London, I can forgive that the building is old and can't be helped, but in other cities and countries, this is really It's a terrible level. I'm regrettable, but I can't but say that it's London.

Astor Hyde has an amazing location, however, the 9-bed dorm that I stayed in had triple stacking of bed and that was a little uncomfortable for me, personally. I had the lowest bed and any movements from above didn't let me sleep properly. Sharing two bathrooms between three dorm rooms also added quite a bit of extra wait time. I had a long journey and arrived at 8am. When, I requested an early check-in rather than a comforting reply of I will try/ maybe we can see, what I got was not possible - against the policy. I like hostels for their warmth but what I got in Astor was too much hotel-like professionalism and cold behavior. Additionally, they ask you to label the food, but they don't tell you proper places to keep them and the next day your whole batch of grocery is missing. Then, they were like you put it in a wrong place, but, nobody told me what is the right place. It was quite an underwhelming experience for a hostel, I would say. Again, this is my personal experience, a lot of you may not face this or may even love the place, that will be your opinion. :)

Unfortunately not a good experience with this hostel. They don't have elevators. If you book a basic room, you'll be put in a room on one of the higher floors (4 or higher). There's a big difference in luxury of the rooms. My friend and I booked the same price 6-bed mixed basic dorm, but were in different rooms. His bed had a personal reading light, sockets/USB power, while my bed had none of that. The bathrooms are very basic, flooded when showered and really need an upgrade. Also there was no duvet cover on my duvet when I arrived. The location is very good but that's pretty much the only positive thing I have to say about this hostel.

Great place to stay, not too expensive when comparing "London price". There are the obvious problems of sharing a room. But I had no problem. Checkout at 9am /10am is early if you aren't the early bird. Facilities were good, showers, toilets etc. Breakfast can be bought for £2, and a lot of options in the kitchen downstairs. OVERALL PRETTY GOOD 💯

Is not the best place but location and rates are very good ones. Things that could be better for a next stay: Cleaning service in toilettes, showers & rooms. One day, a person dropped coffee on the room and the housekeeper doesn’t cleaned properly. The laundry service is too bad. I couldn’t used it cause x a couple of days machines were out of service and then, when both were working, a housekeeper told me that he will be using washing and drying machine for the whole day. That I could go to a laundry not far from the hostel to wash my cloth. I went to that place but it was more expensive! People playing drums every day on the dinning room it’s annoying! There’s two rooms, the other one is next to the reception. People try to work and to meet one to each other talking but with the noise it’s impossible to be in peace. Space is from all of us, not only for the ones that are always bothering to the rest with the drums. Also they’re always playing the same things. It’s bored! The kitchen sink is too dirty. Too many dirty dishes on it every day and sponges are too dirty with too many food on its as well. Other bad things: The hostel has around 6 floors. My room was located on the 3rd one and I arrived with 2 heavy suitcases. There’s no lift. I was going up and down 70 steps every day. Don’t pay for breakfast! It’s too bad. Much better to pay a little bit more and drink something outside

Amazing location, well stocked kitchen with everything you needed. I enjoyed the shared lounge areas and the 15 bed bunk room I stayed in was fine, cleaned daily with good bunks. The staff were all friendly. however the bathrooms, especially showers were always dirty. The fans were broken in all the bathrooms on my floor making them unbearably humid but my biggest issue was the mould in all the showers. I ended up sick from the mould which is unfortunate because everything else about this hostel was great but I would not be able to stay again due to the health issue.

Hi Guys. I really enjoyed my stay at Astor Hyde Park Hostel. The staff were super friendly and helpful!!! My only gripe is the lack of cloths/Towel hooks in the bathroom in room 36. No stool even to put your clothes while you shower. Super annoying. And some of the lockers in the rooms were unusable because the latch to place the lock onto was either missing or non existent. But otherwise it was great. Ps. Jackson and Theo put on an amazing show on Sunday night. They brought some very talented musicians into your venue. You should pay them for their efforts. More stuff like that please. Warm regards, Pietro

Really great hostel with happy and energetic staff. Rooms were clean and comfortable with plenty of space. The kitchen was reasonably equipped. Bathrooms were out of soap from time to time but generally clean. Overall a great stay.

The private room prices are such a hoax, definitely seem like a huge game of hit or miss russian roulette, not worth the money. Nice staff, the beds were clean but the floors especially the bathroom floors are SUPER DIRTY, even in private rooms. Very little storage space, no bathroom counter, the bathroom had extra paper rolls just lying around. We were lucky to not get any mold in the shower but were afraid to put luggage on the floor and wore plastic bags as shoes in the shower. BRING SHOWER SLIPPERS or it's foot fungus time!!! The vibe is a teenage commune, kind of weird but if you're a young adult or a hippie weirdo it might really be your thing.

The best is the location. The second best is the kitchen but the burners take forever to heat up. Reception is always helpful with a smile. Downside is the stairs, stairs and stairs, if you are unfortunate to be assigned the upper floors. It will be great if they tell you which floor is the room when you book.

  • 2/5 Marta A. 5 months ago on Google
Didn't have the best stay here. We booked 5 beds in 6 bed-room. The man staying with us was nice, no problem there. However, the room itself was really bad. You could see dirty prints on the floor, my bed was around 10 cm from the wall and I could see all the trash under it. There were empty bottles, socks and a lot of dust and dead flies. The duvet of one of us was very brown and the pillow had a huge stain on it, which we managed to swap. There were hairs on the bed. And the bunkbeds looked very sketchy especially one of the bedframes was slightly broken on one side and I'm guessing they tried to fix it with zip ties but they broke as soon as our friend sat down. Other than that the staff was nice, but they couldn't really do anything to help except swap out the pillow... Can't rate anything else about it because we left as fast as we could the next morning.

Run down and dirty, not very organized. When I checked in, I didn't get a key, because they were out. The girl working walked me up the steps (all those stairs!) then asked me what room I was in - she'd not yet told me what room I was in. She was like well, I'm pretty sure you're in this room - you'll know your bed because it'll have your name on a card. So look for your name. My name was on none of them. Then she got more confident that we were in the right room, so pointed to a bed with no card and said just take that one. In the morning, I didn't get a key because the girl working got logged out of the system, so couldn't set it up for me. The bathrooms in particular were dirty, and I think every time I went in any of the bathrooms outside my room, there was no soap. The multiple hand sanitizer dispensers I passed were also empty.

  • 2/5 Georgia M. 2 years ago on Google
Great location and beautiful exterior…pity about the dorms (notably bathrooms) which have clearly never experienced the touch of disinfectant, the overflowing sanitary towel bin and the shower that didn’t drain properly. I’m not sure if this is the norm amongst such budget accommodation but if you’re up for roughing it the bed was clean at least.

One of the best hostels I've ever stayed in. The front desk people are really friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean, spacious and the beds have charging ports. I would definitely consider staying here again

As a student, I was looking for an affordable place to stay, while exploring the city and visit some concerts. This hostel really offers everything you need incl. Adapter, Towels and Locks. If you go there: I reckon you bring ear-plugs and maybe visit the supermarket, so you can bring your own toppings to the breakfast. The employees smiled all around the clock - they made me feel at home. Nice and humble people. Amazing location 1 min walking distance to the gates of Hyde Park and the nearest Tescos is like 5-7 minutes walking distance. Wish there guys all the best and will surely come back at some point.

I would recommend this hostel to anyone looking for somewhere affordable to stay in a good location in London. It is clean and comfortable and located just off Hyde Park. Josh did a really good job at keeping the place clean and Siissi on reception was great - she lent me her skateboard and I accidentally left it on a bus, but she was totally cool about it.. If I were employing these guys I would give them a pay-rise because it's hard to find staff that deliver such great customer service! :)

I would absolutely stay here again. I felt very safe, traveling abroad as a solo female, and met a bunch of lovely creative people. There's a piano, drum set, and guitar amps in the common room, so as a musician, this was absolute heaven. I look forward to returning so I can jam with other musicians more. The only downside was that the bathrooms were a bit dingy, and I had an unfortunate incident involving a lack of toilet paper hahah. Overall, this hostel is well worth what it costs.

Affectionately known as the "Palace", Astor Hyde Park is arguably the poshest hostel in London. Professional, well managed. The Grade listed property recently underwent some refurbishment. Jeff, the new Aussie Manager, has recruited one of the finest hostel teams in London. Well-organized, polite, friendly, and helpful. Ana, Head of Housekeeping, gets my top commendation - excellent five-star customer service. Based on my last stay back in January 2022, I am giving the new management and housekeeping team five stars (four extra stars). Also, five stars, new bathrooms in many rooms with new fixtures and fittings. For many a discerning traveler, Astor Hyde Park, within walking distance of Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park, is their first port of call.

Nice little place to stay in city, very close to the lovely hyde park if you're feeling an early morning walk. I'd recommend bringing your own pillow as the one i had was so flat it was essentially not there. Service was pretty good though the lady at the front desk when I checked in was bubbly and helpful

This is the one; you can stop searching now. Hands-down the best hostel in London—I'd know, I've stayed in 7 this month. Astor Hyde Park strikes the near-impossible balance between social and laid-back that makes for an ideal environment. The staff is super friendly and helpful; thanks to Siissi for literally always being around to answer my relentless questions. Clean, comfortable, amenities—all that. Coming back to this hostel felt like returning home.

Was such a good stay at the Astor Hostel! Great location and fantastic staff!! Cece, Desaray and Noah were so kind and helpful, very happy and willing to help with whatever you need! The rooms are clean and well looked after, right next to Hyde park too! What more could you want! Also if you are lucky Cece might be playing the piano and singing a sweet melody for you to skin into your chair after a lint day of walking! Definitely will visit again!

The staff were the best! They were really helpful and nice and made my lady friends and I feel welcome. It was our first time visiting London and any concerns we had they were there to help. Special shout out to Rapha! 💪🏽 The location wasn't too far away from all the touristy stuff. If you get the Big Bus package there's a stop that's a short walk from the hostel. I never felt like I was in danger and there was always someone at the front.

Nice place for the price and a good staff. Lots of fun evening events and a good set up in general. I appreciated the level of security used with key cards for the rooms. Got to witness them take care of a guest who'd broken the rules too and was reassured to see how quick and on it they were. Everything was generally clean and I had little issue with that. Really appreciated the large storage lockers for holding bags. The bed was too hard for me personally and the pillow provided was very flat. But overall good experience and would stay here again if needed.

Nice hostel and well located. The staff is nice and available when needed. The room I was in (10 dorm) was spacious and clean. The toilet was maybe a bit old, but not horrendous. The breakfast idea is good (1£ that goes to charity) but when we arrived there were no toasts nor coffee! They brought some quickly though. I would come again and I definitely recommend for some touristy days in LDN!

Very nice hostel at a very convenient, calm and secure location. Easy access to Hyde Park, South Kensington and transportation. Great common areas, clean rooms with friendly & helpful staff, daily events and nice (vegan!) food every evening. I have stayed there over a month (when I had only originally came in for a few days) and will definitely go back. Thanks to Astor team.

(Translated by Google) The state of the rooms is lamentable: little space, beds full of hair, clogged windows ... not to mention the one in the bathrooms that borders on the unthinkable, being so filthy that even one of my colleagues threw up as soon as he saw it. Also in the bathroom you get toilet paper that you will not be able to remove, since it is surrounded by metal with a single hole to remove it where it is loose and breaks easily; We found a way to remove paper through a hole that was there, but it was sharp and one of our colleagues received a cross cut on his right hand and we had to amputate it. The customer service was good, until they began to despise us for being Spanish and having a better intellect, taking us out of the living room at 10 in the afternoon, getting up at 2 in the morning by an alarm that had set off a guiri making a toast and many other practices. In short, I will never go to that hotel again in my life, nothing more to comment on.

Easy check-in, great location, average accomodation, very friendly and welcoming staff. Less than 5 minutes walk to Hyde Park, Imperial College, National History Museum and much more. Each floor is a double, so if you get 2nd floor you would probably be climbing 4 stories via stairs, they do not have elevators. The rooms have ensuite bathrooms, which are clean but not well maintained, the shower curtain was half torn, toilet paper was finished and had to request. They have one pound cold breakfast. Padlocks and travel adaptors can be rented with a deposit of five pounds.

Lovely old London building converted to a hostel. Easily accessible to city wide transportation. Walking distance to Hyde park, Science Museum, Natural History Museum, V& A, numerous shops, cafes, and restaurants. £1 breakfast every morning and all proceeds go to a charity. Highly recommend for someone backpacking or spending a few days in London on a budget

The hostel was very well located (2-3 blocks from Imperial College, British Science Museum, Hyde Park, and British Museum of Natural History, and about a 5-7 min walk to the nearest tube stations), has relatively comfortable beds, and a relatively extensive supply of kitchenware. The breakfast was decent (cereal, toast, juice) and the staff was friendly.

I've made a reservation with check-in in May,2020. Due to pandemic, I couldn't travel, and it was postponed to September, 2020. The frontiers were still closed that time, and they let my reservation "open" till March, 2021 - so they wouldn't need to return my money . However, the frontiers are still close and this time they just disappeared! I've tried all kind of communications made by the human, but they don't return my e-mails, calls, or messages ! If could go personally to the hostel I would go to there, but I can't. So, I definelly don't recommend the Hostel, because, If have some kind of problem, they will let you to your own luck and a credit card bill to pay.

Black mold in the bathrooms to the point where it was oozing out from under the tiles and shower walls. I asked the staff to fix and they tried but it was to such an extent that they told us they would have to renovate the whole room. The mold smelled, horrific. I can’t even describe the smell. I was supposed to stay 5 days but was so afraid to return to my room that I cut my trip to two nights and got a hotel room. The beds were cleanish and the WiFi worked and the location was excellent that was the only good thing. They gave me a partial refund otherwise I would rate one star.

An amazing hostel in a truly enchanting building. The staff are excellent, and this property and their entire chain of hostels is exceptionally well managed. There’s a wonderful social environment, fantastic community involvement through initiatives like their charity breakfast, and an unbeatable location in South Kensington right by unmissable attractions like Kensington Gardens / Hyde Park, the natural history museum, V&A and the Royal Albert Hall. I made some of the best memories of my life and some amazing friends in this hostel and really recommend that anyone and everyone chose Astor when they visit London.

(Translated by Google) Great location, 10 minutes from the metro, 50 meters from Hyde Park, very quiet area, you can also see it from the type of houses / cars here. I stayed here 5 nights, staff always friendly and helpful. I found my room clean and welcoming. The bathrooms were small but clean. I found the kitchens small but still functional. among other things, 3 days a week, the staff usually cook for everyone. Breakfast costs £ 1 as a symbolic price. They have an open space kitchen / canteen. There is another common room that would be a living room I think, with sofas and armchairs, usually in the evening they put films on the projector. The wifi has always worked for me, they also have a shared PC. I have stayed in several hostels here in London, and I think this was the best. At the weekend they organize parties, but at some time they turn off the music.

(Translated by Google) The location is quite good and the price for London too. The staff was by and large friendly. The bed was comfortable. There was no plug or lamp on the bed. My bed was on a wall with hot heating pipes where you can burn in your sleep, there really should not be a bed there. The room was good by the size (dorm 10 beds) and the space for the stuff was enough. The bathroom was bad. It stunk, the water in the shower did not drain, it was always wet the floor, the sink did not seem to be tight down. At the door, the paint peeled off the bottom of the floor had brown spots. I was there for three nights and only had toilet paper last night. It was there but in a locked container where I had hurt myself when I tried to get to the paper anyway. The breakfast was adequate for my needs, but on the first morning there was no coffee the whole time because the staff was doing something else.

The hostel's fantastic location isn't just great for getting around the city, it adds a special touch to the whole experience. You'll find it effortlessly blending with the friendly vibes and diverse mix of people artists, business travelers, and more. It's not just a place to stay, it's where connections happen! Reflecting on my experience, I found myself facing limitations in accessing facilities like the kitchen and shared living area, courtesy of the hostel renting spaces to a school. The lack of prior information left me unexpectedly ousted by the staff when I needed these amenities. Brace yourself for restricted access to common areas, especially as large groups of kids take precedence.

Great place. Everything seems new. The atmosphere you breathe in this place is one of peace and tranquility. Excellent value for money. I stayed in a room with 10 beds on the fourth floor: despite the number of beds it was comfortable. Warm, clean, bright and tidy room. Clean bed (sheets, pillowcase and duvet) and comfortable. Bathroom in the room, clean, spacious and hot water. Kitchen okay. Friendly, professional and helpful staff. Overall an excellent hostel to recommend. I would more than happily go back. The only flaw, if anything, is that there is no lift: it is a building with 4 or more floors and when you arrive you have to carry your suitcase on foot. And in the morning if everyone, unfortunately, gets up at the same time to use the bathroom you have to queue. For everything else it is a great place to enjoy your stay.
