The lack of decent air circulation in the hotel rooms is really bad and the cleanliness left a lot to be desired. The room had an AC system that never really seemed to bring the room to the set temperature and the unit was disgustingly dirty and dusty like it hadn't been cleaned in months. The breakfast however was good and the service team there were awesome which bumped the overall experience up a star. Just a tip for anyone reading this from North America reading complaints here about not getting an early check in. Don't expect sympathy from ANY hotels this is a traveller issue not a hotel one. Don't rely on an early check in there are sites out there devoted to day use of hotels and make your own seperate arrangements.

We have stopped here quite a few times now as it makes a great location for visiting London. We caught an early train to London on the Saturday, getting there for about 11:30 a 5 minute walk from kings cross station to the hotel (it's next door) to drop the bags off and we're off exploring London. Checking in about 10pm and off to bed. The rooms are clean and have all the essentials that you would need in a stay, the bed is comfy and the room was quiet (we had a family room) . The following morning a buffet style breakfast was just what was needed to start the day (there is a good range of food and drinks available) we then checked out and off exploring London again. The best part though was when it was time to catch the train home, stopping off to pick up the bags first from the hotel , using the hotel for a bag drop stopped us from having to wheel bags around London with us. We will stop there again

Excellent location. Very nice lobby and restaurant/breakfast area. Clean, well designed and attractive. Unfortunately I was given a ground floor room which wasn't pleasant - no window and no way if getting any fresh air in, and a that only went to 19 degrees so I couldn't get the room cool and subsequently had a pretty poor night's sleep. If you get allocated a room that is on the ground floor, ask for one higher up so you get a window and it would make for a much nicer stay.

The room wasn't especially clean (food under the bed, old notes on the desk, rubbish in the bathroom). None of the staff knew how the TV casting worked. Thin walls and found it a bit noisy. It sounded like the hotel was vacuuming the corridor after I'd gone to bed! Heard neighbouring room people coming and going and walking around the room. Breakfast was okay but very busy and some of the glasses smelt disgusting. Food was okay, passable for the price. The lobby looked smart and it had a Costa. Very close to the station. The bed was okay for comfort.

I’ve stayed at many Premier Inns over the years but this was my first time here. Positives are the location and very nice, bright & airy communal areas. The bar / dining area also looked really nice Unfortunately there are negatives… Firstly, checking-in is a nonsense! The self-service check-in consuls do not work until 3pm precisely. I arrived at 2:40pm and had to queue for 15 minutes to be checked-in by a staff member. Why not activate the consuls earlier and let them tell you if your room is ready? CitizenM do this and it works fine. Secondly, the air conditioning in my room was completely ineffective. A large stand-up fan had been put in it and was running, so maybe this room had a maintenance issue? If so, then they shouldn’t be letting it out, particularly on a very hot day. All things considered I’ll stay at CitizenM next time.

Great location if travelling by train. Family rooms are basic but comfortable. We were there 4 nights and requested a room clean twice but were missed both times. If you are travelling as a group and want to be near each other make sure you email in advance. I phoned prior asking if our two family rooms could be in close proximity and was told it would be sorted when we arrived, only to find out it hadn't so ended up on different floors.

Stopped here for just the one night in October 2022. Service was good and efficient, the room was great for the price . The best part was the special offer to dine in the bar and block it included your evening meal and a full breakfast for I think about £26.00 this was fantastic value especially in London and the meal included a fee pint. Would definitely recommend and will certainly visit again.

Terrible! Simply Terrible! Rooms are stinky. The first room we were given was dirty with piles of laundry left on the floor. The second room had no window to open, noisy air ventilation, mould on the bathroom floor corners, and shower door rails. We could hear the neighbouring room clearly loud so we couldn't sleep. Lifts are also not working properly. You have to push the button as hard as you can to activate it. Do not book this place!

Don't forget to use Hᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking your room. This web site will compare hundreds of hotel sites and usually will have rooms much cheaper compared to others! Thank me later! This hotel is one of the highest rated in this area. I've been staying here for a long time. If you decide to stay here you for sure won't regret it. Excellent one night stay. Really comfy beds, great shower and dark, quiet room. 5 minutes walk to St. Pancreas for Eurostar. There's a nice-looking pub restaurant downstairs but we didn't get time to use it. Recommended, for sure.

I want to start off by saying that I had previously stayed at a Premier Inn in Glasgow and was very happy with my experience. However, the Premier Inn at King’s Cross was one of the worst hotels that I have ever stayed in. Here’s a list of reasons why: 1. We asked for a baby cot for the room as we were travelling with a baby. There was no cot in the room when we arrived. We asked reception and one was sent up. The cot was just a dirty pack and play with no mattress. They put a loose sheet in the bottom of the cot for “comfort”. Anyone with a baby knows that a loose sheet is a major suffocation hazard for young children. We obviously did not use it for our 10 month old. 2. The air conditioning in the room did not work. We had it set to 19C but our room was closer 24C our entire 4 night stay. When we told reception about it, they just shrugged. 3. There is no air circulation in the room, which means that all of the humidity from using the shower stayed in the room. There was condensation on the inside of the window and the carpet felt WET to the touch. It was absolutely disgusting and a health and safety issue if you have any sort of lung issue. 4. There was also no mini fridge or safe in the room, which should be pretty standard. 5. There is no daily room cleaning, you have to ask for it. We asked for our room to be cleaned after our second night. The bedsheets were not changed, only re-folded. The only good thing about this hotel is it’s location. However, there are many many other hotels in the same area so no one needs to stay at this Premier Inn. AVOID.

This hotel is so fun! They have a cool machine for self-serve checkin. Your room keys pop out of the machine and you’re ready to head upstairs! If you prefer to check in with a human, they are standing two steps away from the self serve machines. There is a great bar downstairs and a coffee shop. Plus the main lobby is gorgeous. The rooms were extremely nice, too. The bathrooms were large compared to most places I’ve stayed in London. Plus my room came with an enormous tub! I was in heaven. My room was near the back of the hotel, but my travel companions were near the street side. They mentioned that the sounds of weekend merriment woke them up a couple times. They didn’t mind but worth noting if you’re a light sleeper.

We had a good 7 night stay at Premier Inn Kings cross. This hotel is conveniently located to the London train system and well connected to airports. The breakfast spread is great. We were served by a team of well mannered staff. Kudos to Mr.Tanvir for taking care of our dietary requirements. The front desk staff are courteous and ensured that all of us were comfortable . Great place to stay

Absolutely amazing stay. Really pretty hotel foyer. Made so Christmasy. Great restaurant, lovely breakfast. The staff were all very attentive and helpful. Rooms were clean and the bed so comfy. We had 3 rooms for a Boxing Day city break. Excellent choice. Very happy to come back.

Honestly not sure how this has people giving 5 star reviews. Have they stayed in a hotel before? To be clear, this is not a hotel - it’s a box that you can sleep in. You should use it ONLY if you need to travel from Kings Cross station at an early or late hour. Otherwise you should avoid and use any other hotel. Some notes: - The rooms smell of insecticide. Like, stinks of it. - The rooms are not cleaned unless you specifically request it. You only find this out when the room has not been cleaned. - You cannot open the windows. - It is above a pub. Despite the windows not opening you can still hear every conversation in the pub. - There are no safes in the rooms. - The entire hotel is quite run down and grotty, despite being apparently relatively new. - The staff are obviously overworked and underpaid. I felt so sorry for them. - You cannot pay with Apple or Google pay. - Quite pettily, the receipt is printed on thermal paper like you’re in a gas station. For some reason this is more irritating than everything else.

Nice hotel in a convenient location for Kings Cross train station, nice surroundings in the hotel with the bar and restaurant, good breakfast, only complaints are our kettle kept tripping out the electric, we informed the hotel immediately and nobody did anything for the following 2 days we were there, also the heating in the room was either not working or not adjustable which seemed odd as it had an instruction leaflet on how to adjust the heating, however there was just a word on the screen evertime you touched a button saying "Central" so not sure whether they have it controlled centrally to save on heating bills. Rooms were to usual premier Inn standard with comfy beds, a little bit cramped for a family room with a double and two single beds, it would appear they just add an extra camp style bed to an existing standard room with a double and a single which cuts down a lot of space.

Very glamorous and budget friendly hotel. The orchids and the high ceilings were very aesthetically pleasing. Exceptional staff. If they could have cloned them for the other locations I would be happy. I have stayed in several locations. Great pub.

Stayed here previously and happy to go book again. Hotel is clean and quiet. Location is brilliant, close to euston when arriving and close to King's Cross for getting around London. Restaurant on site looks nice but never used, the breakfast buffet was very good value, especially with the kids eat free offer. Room was clean and the extra large bed was comfy. The attached Costa is handy as well. Lots of food options close by.

Standard premier Inn. Great location. Room had a background buzzing noise and noticed as leaving room abit damp, no fan in bathroom. Hotel staff lovely restaurant staff just seemed to be there, even food was nice but toke way to long to come. Nothing was bad enough to complain.

The premier inn was just about what id expect, a cheap room: what we'd paid for. However, there was two things I was not expecting; terrible WiFi, which you could pay £5 for just about the speed everyone had back in 2012, and mould, mould everywhere. Seriously, it's terrible for reputation and how likely I am to recommend this hotel to anyone I know.

The only good thing about this hotel is it's closeness to King's Cross as somewhere to sleep. Don't get me wrong the staff are excellent the service is very good (apart from dinner at the bar and block) the beds are clean and comfortable mostly for a fairly well priced stopover it's not bad. Points to improve - Get aircon that permits temperatures beneath sauna level 19C to sleep in that's not healthy. - get ventilation that works - the place smells and not nicely - it is like walking into a thick fug cross between old fried food and stale sweat and there were pools of condensation running of our room window. - get windows that open - see above. - if you must associate with bar and block take it in house and staff it properly, we waited with 5 other families at reception for 10 minutes and never saw or were spoken to by a member of staff, we called Altonapoli, got a table for 10 minutes ahead and had a delightful meal in somewhere that didn't sound like a cross between a cattle market and a disco.

Small room, barely any water pressure in shower, noisy ventilation system (?) in the hall at night that makes it feel like you're sleeping inside a vacuum cleaner, no room maintenance unless you specifically demand it, buttons for the elevator not very responsive, etc. All in all would expect better at these rates. Updating rating to 1 star because after this recent business trip my company had to get in touch with Premier Inn to request an invoice and after a week and multiple staff members trying to contact every available phone number, no one at Premier Inn can be reached.

I visited in September 2023 The Good -Location. A very short walk from King's Cross, well connected for train and tube. There is plenty to see and do in the immediate area too. -Ease of checkin. Automation doesn't always mean a better experience for the customer, but in this case it couldn't be easier. No queues, automatic checkin and key dispensed immediately. Staff help is available. -Rooms. Underrated. Always clean, sizable and comfortable. I have stayed in many places worldwide at prices 5 times this, only to be disappointed by the room. This is good. The Bad -Large hotels always mean lots of doors, stairs and lifts to navigate. Not always easy for those with limited mobility. Greg's Tip Make us of the baggage store. Tagged and secure

Probably the best premier inn I've stayed in, whitley Bay was my fave b4. This hotel is clean, great location 👌, lovely size room. Wonderfully comfortable room. Coal drops yard behind is amazing for shopping etc and obviously close to train station and tube for convenient travel round London. A great area to stay in.

Stayed 1 night at this location for a short trip. Location is great. Very close to King's Cross Station. Upon arrival we did have to queue for about 20 minutes only to be told room was not available yet. So we had to store luggage and go out to eat locally for an hour then head back again to get our room. Room was decently clean as was the bathroom. Aircon for some reason had a min temp of 19c and with 3 people in a room it was quite hot. There was a standing fan which we tried to use, kind of blew out warm air and was very loud. We paid for 1 adults breakfast and was allowed to take the 2 kids free for unlimited breakfast at the Bar and Block restaurant connected to the Hotel. Breakfast was maybe the best experience of the hotel stay. Total cost was £190 for 1 night Inc breakfast for 1.

This place is disgusting, supposed to be a double room but I’ve got two singles pushed together with a king size duvet that has two single duvets in that overlap in the middle leaving a an odd lump in the middle. Loads of random hairs on the duvet cover and a clump of what I suspect to be pubes on top. A sheet that isn’t tucked in as it’s too small for the mattress. Massive suspicious stain on the chair. Put one of the glass tumblers in the bathroom to place my toothbrush in so it doesn’t touch any nasty surfaces only to find a long black curly hair in it. I feel verrucas in my future!

  • 2/5 Kirsty J. 7 months ago on Google
Overall okay with a big “but”… Staffs are friendly. Free luggage storage. During check-in time they are obviously very overwhelmed but they still tried their best to help everyone as fast as they could. (Using the auto check in kiosk can save you time. ) Location is convenient, right next to Kings Cross. The room was standard. But in the bathroom, there’s a little black mold between the shower glass and floor… which made me uneasy. The biggest problem is the WIFI! It is so crazy slow that I can’t even open Google Map. Not uploading or downloading anything, just regular web browsing and still… need to wait minutes for even click on a place on Google Map. It is so frustrating. I checked the review of other Premium Inn hotels around London, and noted a lot of people mentioned this issue. And for this reason, I will not be coming back.

This is located just 50 metres from Kings Cross railway station and the underground station. We stayed for just new years night. The double room was clean and comfortable and had the usual facilities of air-conditioning, iron/ironing board, hair drier, TV and complementary tea and coffee. There was no internal phone so we had to go to reception. The USB port did not function and could not be used to charge the phone; we reported this. The ensuite was equipped with only a shower cubicle and as hot water is not circulated around the building it took a long time to run from the tap. The hotel had its own dining room and bar which we did not use. There are many other independant and national food and drinks outlets near by so you don't need to rely on the hotel's menu. Inspite of being in the centre of London the room was quiet and peaceful.

23/11-12 Excellent location. Had to go to Paris and Halifax for our work, but it's a dream location, just minutes from St. Pancras and King's Cross. The staff is very sympathetic and smooth. The room is spacious and there is no problem. And the diner on the ground floor, Bar + Block has really delicious food! Being able to drink Aspall was also a wonderful event. Would use again.

Stayed here for 1 night as I had some official work. The highlight of the hotel is its location, just a few mins walk from Kings cross station which is very convenient if you are visiting London and need to travel. The reception area is vibrant and lively, with a Costa Coffee shop. The room was clean and spacious. The only feedback would be it had a bit of mould by the windows and the room could do with a good paint job. The only disappointment were the Reception staff who felt it was too much trouble to make eye contact when talking and had 0 customer service. A big let down.

Perfect location if you have a train from Kings cross. The rooms are spacious and the AC was perfect, helps cooling you out from London’s heat. The receptionist ( she was wearing Hijab unfortunately I don’t know her name was very helpful and friendly). The hotel was clean and very accessible. There are 2 train stations nearby. I would definitely stay again there.

What a great little hotel this is. Right next to Kings Cross. Decent sized rooms for London, attached to a Costa & a steakhouse with a bar that does a good breakfast. About 10 mins walk from Coal Drops Yard with boutique shops, coffee shops & restaurants right by the canal. The customer service was 5 star from all of the staff at the hotel & in the restaurant. Special thanks to Dominic, & the hotel manager, for trying to help us find our debit card which we thought we had lost but we hadn’t! Will definitely stay here again.

This is the perfect place to stay if just before or after travelling to/from London by train and that's exactly what we did. Room was a little warm when we arrived and frustrating that we couldn't open the windows but given a small amount of time the room was cooled by the air conditioning. Lifts were not great with only one out the 3 not working. This meant either a long wait or an exhausting walk up 8 flights of stairs. Overall ok for the price And a one night stay. Staff were friendly and helpful when we asked for a 2nd set of towels.

3* is maybe a bit harsh. The room is fine, check in is straightforward, breakfast is standard Premier Inn. The location is perfect, less than 5 minutes walk from King's Cross. It's dropping a star because of the shower and wifi (the standard version, the upgrade kept telling me Internet wasn't available). Both feeble

Stayed here 2 nights, Friday through to Sunday. Always had very good experiences previously with Premier Inn but this time it wasn’t so good. Firstly at check in the computer was down & staff had to use a manual system. It took about ten minutes to check in each guest resulting in us having to wait almost 2 hours to get our room. On the first night we had a member of staff trying our bedroom door at 2.30am waking us up. No idea what they wanted but was told at reception the next morning they were checking to see if the room was occupied?? The second night the fire alarm went off at 5.45am. Asked at reception why this happened & was given no explanation. The managed offered us a free breakfast but we refused. The breakfast was the best thing about our stay. Couldn’t fault it.

I stayed in room 335 which was a premier plus room and might as well have had my bed in a lift as that is all I heard all night. Constant dripping from the Air Con also. Pleased I didn’t pay much!!

Loved it. Easily best Prem Inn we've stayed at and we've done a few across the country . Staff were friendly, check in was easy, we needed 2 rooms as have kids and we're put next to each other ( for the first time ). Rooms were clean and equipped to usual standards as they always are. The large lounge at front of house was lovely and created an airy area to relax that's not in the pub or the room which was nice. Costa attached and the steak and grill pub was excellent. Car parking at St Pancras International not cheap, but not the most expensive either and close by being just a couple mins walk. Will use thei Prem Inn again next time we go to London.

Fantastic place to stay when travelling by train to London. Easy access to all tube lines. Local food and drinks are plentiful and rooms are lovely and quiet. Some rooms may be a bit dated and in need of a lick of paint and those lifts definitely need some maintenance, especially as they are being used more now with people not wanting to share. Overall though we had a great stay.

Have stayed at this hotel many times over the years given its proximity to the train station. The staff was friendly and helpful each time. Rooms are clean and are standard fare for a budget hotel with rooms big enough for a bed and a small bathroom. Would definitely stay again.

Arrived at check in at 6pm and was told one of the allocated rooms was unavailable. A supervisor had to be called to change one of our two rooms. This took the best part of 10 minutes. That should have served as a warning. The bed in the master bedroom had no support was very uncomfortable. The only good thing about our stay was the location.

The hotel is in a great location next to King's Cross railway station. I was only staying for one night as I was travelling onwards to Paris and Barcelona. Room was clean, location is great. This is a basic hotel, few amenities in the room - no coffee machine, no mini fridge. We had trouble getting service to empty our trash. The room temperature was very warm and there was no effective way to control the temperature. Beds were fine.

Very central, comfortable and with decent restaurant downstairs. Rooms the usual standard but I got caught out by not knowing that you have to ask for the room to be cleaned. Also, the room air conditioning did not cool the room at all, and the windows don’t open. I’d go back but I’d be more prepared to move rooms next time!

Love the place. I'm a long time customer, first time in London, but a perfect place to stay overnight. Not cheap, but really comfortable and worth every penny. Good restaurant associated with the hotel. Will use again on 9th November and looking forward to it.

Lovely hotel, good travel facilities, nice staff especially the young lady on night duty who was so cheerful and helpful in the early hours of christmas morning. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. When I initially booked in August was advised there was no restaurant Christmas day, however I did make an additional booking for breakfast on Boxing day. What a shame they don't do a Christmas break as I would definitely book .

Just back from 3 nights in Premier Inn London Kings Cross Hotel. Could not have been happier with the hotel, the room was clean and comfortable if a little compact for a family of 4 but that didn't bother us. Hotel bar is fantastic as is the restaurant and the breakfast is unbelievable value. Right across the road from Kings Cross St Pancras underground where you can basically get to anywhere in London from. The staff are wonderful and there's plenty of them which is rare these days!! I have no complaints whatsoever about this hotel and will definitely be staying there again! :)

We booked one night in May 2023. We arrived around 9am after a red eye from Atlanta. Staff told us that check- in is at 3pm but there might be a possibility to check in early after 11:30am (their website says 11am), subject to availability. So we sleep on the sofas in the lobby until 11:30am. We then go and ask at 11:30am if we can check in early (we would love to pay for this service). Without checking their system they ask us to come back at 12pm. At 12pm we come and ask again and without checking their system they say we have to wait until 3pm. At 2pm people start checking in. We go and ask again, and they state that our type of room is not available yet. However, we never identified ourselves so they could not know which type of room we booked. At 2:45pm a line forms and they are checking people in. We say ‘Hi, checking in’, the reply was ‘Not until 3pm, mate’. At 3pm we get back in line, to hear that our room is not ready and that we should come back 10min later. We refused and they manually changed the room to ‘done’ in the system. We finally wee able to check in. We won’t stay here ever again. These people don’t understand hospitality.
