Great location but this isn’t a 5 star hotel, stay elsewhere. Checked us into a room which hadn’t been made up from previous guests. Took a long time to sort another room but were offered complementary drinks. Woken up several times in the night by noisy guests in the corridor, doors made of cardboard. Some idiot at 3:30 in the morning was constantly hitting their car horn right outside the hotel for 30 minutes! Rooms are very dated, not cleaned well. Bed was comfortable. Mini Bar empty, TV didn’t work. Hotel Bar is open to none guests, was more of a club on a Saturday night with very loud music rather than a pleasant bar in a 5 star hotel. Had to shout a drinks order. Doorman are more like bouncers and just said take your drink to your room when I tried to enjoy it in the quieter lobby. Not good when you’ve just paid £18.75 for one shot with coke. Will stop elsewhere next time.

5 star hospitality, however, not a 5 star hotel in my opinion. The windows in our room were filthy. The mini bar was empty. The wardrobe is in the bathroom?!?! There is so much space to fit a wardrobe into the room, why is it within a splashing range of the toilet?! There also wasn't a dressing table in sight, no where to get ready but where? You guessed it. The bathroom within splashing range of the toilet. Positives - extremely comfortable beds, great breakfast range and again, fantastic hospitality. However, I've stayed in better 4 star hotels at a third of the price. It's fair to say we shan't be returning.

Fantastic! A fabulous 5 star experience all round. From start to finish, Akil and his whole team were magnificent. Excellent location and outstanding rooms. There’s simply no better place to stay in London than The May Fair Hotel. Will be back soon!

With the exception of the lovely Pauline at breakfast, the rest of the staff were rude and dismissive. This is not a 5 star hotel, rooms were shabby, dirty and very little amenities. The location is convenient but noisy with traffic and construction across the street and the hotel hallways were loud, with hotel guests having no respect for their fellow travelers. I asked house keeping for extra tea bags and were informed we would have to pay extra, similar housekeeper took robes, we asked for robes to replace what they took and were told would have to pay extra. My recommendations, stay at the Trafalgar St. James a Hilton property, Brown's and a few others. Mayfair caters to specific clientele, the hotel staff does not accommodate North Americans, this should be stated on all travel sites.

This is NOT what I expect from a 5 star hotel. While I understand the stars are largely about the amenities, I expect a certain level of accommodation also. There were many issues with this hotel. Let me start with the room. It was sorely in need of an update, and not just style-wise. Both myself and my colleague had issues-- hers had a leak and mine had a light that would not turn off (I swear I tried all the switches, including the mirroring bedside switch), and ended up having to take the key out of the slot that supplies power to the whole room. It was also LOUD. And not city-loud. I live in NY and used to live next to a bar that hosted metal bands. This was like being inside a night club at night and next to a commercial kitchen in the morning. Awful. Also, the whole thing was just... weird. As in, the TV was on the side of the bed so you couldn't even have sat up in bed and watched it? Just odd. The hall was not carpeted so you heard every person walk by. I could also hear every door open and close because the walls were so thin. They also barely provided anything in the bathroom-- cotton swabs, cotton rounds, and shower caps. And the swabs and rounds were not individually packaged but in a big stack in a container which does not feel sanitary. Then the staff. They gave me wrong directions TWICE. To places less than a 5 minute walk away. On the first luckily my colleague came down and navigated us. I thought it was odd that the concierge told us to take two lefts (we took a left and then a right and ended up in the correct place). The second time, the doorman actually said the name of a place, I corrected him, pointed to the place I wanted to go to on my phone, and he still said, "place A go here." I found out where I was going because the actual place was in the opposite direction. The man did not listen at all. Anyway. I would have rather stayed at a Premier Inn. Which I have before and, while it was very much a budget hotel experience from a staffing perspective, was much better. I stayed at the Leonardo a few nights prior and it was lovely. Quite dense pillows and a bit of a tight space, but honestly lovely. 4 stars.

I recently stayed at the Mayfair Radisson Hotel in London and had a mixed experience. Firstly, if you’re sensitive to the smell of shisha, this might not be the place for you. The hotel, likely due to its shisha bar, is permeated with the scent, which some might find overpowering. Additionally, the hotel’s decor is a perplexing blend of the ultra-modern and unmistakably 1980s styles, particularly noticeable in the rooms. This strange mix might appeal to some, but I found it disconcerting. On the positive side, the reception staff were extremely pleasant. The NOISE is the biggest problem, the corridor leading to the bedroom is made of marble. Every step outside wakes you up! However, for me, the overall experience was less than ideal, although I can see how it might suit others’ tastes.

Mayfair was amazing! The service was Incredible!! We stayed at another 5 star hotel in London and it was nothing compared to the service we had here. The staff was so nice and accommodating. Great locating and walking distance to everything we never had to take a car. Will stay here again while visiting London.

Located in a nice area. Hotel is spotless. Food and cocktails are great. Regardless of your request the staff are always more than willing accommodate your needs. Housekeeping is flexible which is a bonus. We use this hotel several times a year and never feel the need to try anywhere else. I must personally commend receptionist Antonio who is the first receptionist here who made us feel very welcome. Making a point to let us know he Remembered us from our previous visit which made the welcome feel more personal. Your receptionist is an asset to your front staff.

I am writing as I woke up on construction noise near the building. I waited 10 minutes upon check-in under the excuse that the manager was allocating a room for me. Obviously, the manager was making sure my room faces the construction noise. When I complained, I called reception and the receptionist hung up the phone on me twice. The lights also do not shut off. I contacted reception about that too and they promised to send someone to fix that but no one showed up. Noway you pay GBP 600 for an experience like this. The receptions and managers are dishonest. Their room facing construction are not usable.

I went for one night with a friend for a special occasion and everything was amazing. We received an upgrade from the house to a family room. It had two queen beds and two bathrooms, just for two of us! At the arrival, there was an amazing bottle of Prosecco, a card and some chocolate strawberries waiting for us to celebrate our special occasion. The bed was very comfortable and was a shame when I had to leave early.. I would have loved to have a lie- in! The lobby manager Anna was very professional and kind. I really enjoyed my stay and I hope to get back as soon as possible.

My husband booked us a spa day at the Mayfair Spa as it is our anniversary. It was standard and really not worth the money but I will review that separately. Let me start off by saying: all staff members in the lobby and behind the hotel reception desk were cold, rude and unfriendly. On our way out, we asked a gentlemen at the Reception desk if there was a small prayer room. He proceeded to give us a dirty look and said no. My husband then asked if there was any space or room that he could quickly pray in. He said no again aggressively. He gave us a rather rude look. There was no apology, smile or any form of conversation. You literally work in hospitality. I understand if there really wasn’t a room to pray in, but ‘human to human’, it’s not difficult at all to speak politely to people. He could have just said ‘sorry, we don’t’ with a smile. Your job is to talk to people. It’s not hard to be polite or respectful. It really put a damper on our special day and we both felt extremely upset after being spoken to in that manner. I didn’t catch a name but it was someone working on 4/1/23 at 3pm. A so called ‘5 star hotel’ which boasts of class and service. I wholeheartedly disagree with that statement and I am so thankful we chose not to dine or stay there.

So this hotel is not cheap, yet the rooms are tiny. very clean. the service is good until you go to breakfast, first there's no Veggies at all!!! five days in a row service is terrible we got the omelet before the coffee or the toast. the waitress took out order and disappeared. On the third day, we have waited so long we got informed the kitchen was closed they're getting ready for lunch, so we didn't even get to order. Bottom line: for what we paid here we can get better service elsewhere.

The location, ambience, food, clean, staff, rooms and amenities at The Ma Fair are wonderful. i enjoyed my stay and the location worked well as it is a short walk from some great shopping, sight seeing, night life and so on! I ordered fish and chips for room service. The restaurant downstairs is great as is the room service food. The bathroom is very spacious and had all towels, soaps, iron and board, umbrella, robe, slippers and hair dryer. The room had a television, coffee maker, two bottles of water, two bed side tables and a large table with two chairs. The key card is used for lighting in the room. Room service is available daily with the option to decline.

We stayed here a while ago whilst celebrating our engagement. The staff were very helpful and polite. The gift of a bottle of champagne and a room upgrade was very kind! The location is perfect, with just a short stroll to the nearest tube station. We are looking forward to returning in February to celebrate my fiancés birthday.

My friends and I came to the hotel for Afternoon Tea while on vacation and it was spectacular. We booked the tea online and it came with a free cocktail, so I would definitely suggest that to save a bit of money. The teas were all very good. The food was delicious as well and the service was phenomenal and attentive. I would definitely suggest this afternoon tea experience as it is priced well and is the full experience.

fantastic location, great size room, amazing staff, very comfy bed with high quality linen. the only things that let it down was, no separate shower, just a shower over the bath, which was slippery and not great for tall people. no black-out blinds, the blinds only just cover the windows and let a lot of light in. mini bar was empty.

I stayed here for 3 nights and this will always be one of my favorite hotels to stay in London. Rooms are very clean, big bathrooms, nice lobby and great facilities. My only complaint would be that the doors are a bit thin so u could hear everything in the hallway. Other than that it was a great experience and the breakfast was top notch as well!

Top notch hotel, with excellent staff. Located in a very ritzy area, so not a lot of pubs or reasonable dining options about. Bar catered to the "beautiful people", and discouraged many of the NFL fans staying there from entering.

Excellent location and service, very good quality-price ratio. The rooms and halls are not new or modern or special design, but the restaurant (used also for breakfast) has a really new and gorgeous design (the food not so wow in variety though). Most probably would return here if the price stays the same.

Thank you for the wonderful hospitality, comfy room & delicious breakfast! I’m a VIP member of the Radisson group. At the beginning of the check I had an issue with my credit card payment, and the receptionist wasn’t a professional also no one had the final decision to end the issue. Anyway, at the check-out time, they solved the issue, but that should be taken into account for next time. it is usually cheaper to attract a new customer than to keep an existing customer!

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. Great location with spacious and comfortable room. Staff weren’t so friendly and didn’t really feel like a 5-star hotel experience.

Attended a function here which was hosted in The Crystal Room. This review relates purely to the services provided by the hotel, since I assume that the entertainments were organised by our hosts. The hotel lobby had a bright airy feel, and certainly was not stuffy or old fashioned, as so many hotels are. We had two young children with us and the staff were helpful, kind and friendly. At the event itself, which was over six hours long, the bar staff were exemplary, cheerful, and charming. There were many young teenagers at the event and I was especially impressed by the way the manager of the area dealt with the typical teenage high spirits, firmly, and professionally. The food which we were served was good, and the canapés/snacks served before the main meal were great. I don't know whether it was the hotel who dressed the room, or whether it was an events company, but that was also impressive and certainly reflected the tastes of the host. Regardless the room was of a good size with a decent lobby area and a small but well appointed bar. The cloakroom was run efficiently and again the staff were flawlessly cheerful and friendly, even at a time of night when I was certainly a little jaded. Lavatories were spotless. To the staff then, thank you, your service on the night of the 17 September was exemplary. Thank you.

The place is lovely and the bathrooms are magnificent. The front dest staff were so friendly and helpful - shout out to Antonio. Only 2 concerns:1) the slates under one side of the bed were moved and missing, took me two nights to figure out why I was on the floor when I sat on the edge of the bed.2) I understand the attraction for hotels of those bottles of soap, but anything that is continually topped up eventually becomes contaminated. One bottle in the room was contaminated with an aerobic bacteria (requires air) and you could clearly see the cloudy top of the bottle with the bacteria multiplying away and the clear bottom of the bottle where they lacked tho oxygen to grow.

Service: super friendly and efficient staff. Food: brilliant breakfast with great selection. Room: the room was an absolute let down. No robes, slippers or mini bar as advertised. Room is dated and shows its age. Bed was comfortable though. Bathroom was renovated not too long ago, but was done on the cheap and this already showing a lot of wear. Will only stay here again once rooms have been renovated. For the price, you can go elsewhere in May Fair.

Bottom line: you’re paying for a mostly clean hotel room in one of the best locations in London. We booked 2 nights through Chase Card’s system, which offers an upgrade and breakfast for free (worth it if you have Chase). They upgraded us to a “superior room”, which appears to be just a larger room of about 30 square meters (or 320 square feet for you Americans). The bathroom was quite large for London (two sinks!) with a separate shower and tub. If you had kids and could get a roll away bed, this is plenty of space for 3 or maybe 4. The room is sparsely decorated, but it looks good. We requested a quiet room, so they put us at the back of the hotel, which looks out to a brick wall and has little light during the day. There’s a bar in the alley at the back of the hotel, so it’s quieter, but not zero noise. The shower is good. Not good by London standards where water pressure is awful… good by Chicago standards where there is unlimited water and water pressure. Plan an extra 15 minutes of your day there. The restaurant for breakfast is cute, and the full English is delicious. Props to them for a great hash brown. But really, it’s all the location. Berkeley Square is still one of the most sought after locations in London, and the Mayfair Hotel is still one of the best located hotels in or around Berkeley Square. You’re a 5 minute walk from Oxford Street and a 10 minute walk to SOHO. The nits: - We checked in and the woman at the front desk was hardly friendly. She started off by saying “we are fully booked so can’t give you an upgrade, but we will honor the room you paid for.” Ummm… okay? They ended up upgrading us, but we thought this might not bode well for the service, but everyone else was very nice and helpful. - Our bed smelled a little bit of body odor. We could never quite track down exactly where it was coming from. - The noise from the hallway is hard to drown out. The room doors are heavy and it appears impossible to close them without slamming, which will wake you through the night. - We had a late check out approved until 1pm, but housekeeping and the front desk began calling and knocking over and over at 12pm. Overall it’s not perfect and not 5 star service, but the value proposition is there. Recommended.

Absolutely a great hotel. Super bar with wide range of drinks, breakfast was lovely (had a la carte which was served quickly), room was comfy, clean, large and loved the TV over the bath. Receptionists and porters very kind, helpful and smiling/chatty. Loved the place and will be back.

How has this hotel got a 5 star rating? Rooms at 3 star at best and I’m not one to write a review but felt I had to. Stayed in better holiday inns. Staff are great as is everything on the outside but the rooms, wow. Awful and I have another night to stay yet, contemplating on changing hotel to have some luxury as described on the internet and for the money I’ve paid.

The rooms are surprisingly bigger than in other hotels in London. Although they might need some small cosmetic refurbishment, they are all neat (which of course is to expect from a 5 star, but still). I won’t be that rude to take a star from my review because of this small detail. We experienced a fabulous week at the May Fair hotel. Thanks to the Reception manager Denis and his team, we found a suiting room for our baby boss who decided not to sleep in the room we were first. Antonio from the reception, Ivy from the breakfast service and Edison from the SPA need a shout out. You made our stay better with your devotion to suit your guests needs. Looking forward to stay here again and I hope they will have a swimming pool by then! ;)

Brilliant location , attentive staff. We requested quiet rooms away from the bar and were accommodated. We couldn’t fault the breakfast and the service was second to none, even bringing my partner a birthday treat. We will be back soon ⭐️

Edit to my previous review- the hospitality at the hotel was truly wonderful. They looked after every concern that my family had which I had expressed in the first night of staying and kindly upgraded us to a better room with improved facilities. I would especially like to thank Sarah and the entire reception staff who were always smiling and accommodating to our needs. It is the hospitality and the kindness of the staff which made our stay all the more better. Thank you and we hope stay here again soon !

Lovely hotel in a great location , our room was very spacious & comfortable. Breakfast was a bit of a free for all, waiting for some items to be cooked while the rest on our plate was going cold. We were seated on a bench with stools, not the most comfortable, also with people in close proximity. Overall a great hotel but Breakfast definitely not worth almost £40 pp.

Stayed on the 9th December. This is a real shame, I have for a long time recommended the May Fair to any and all (often laughing at comparison to substandard hotels nearby), it has been my preference on every visit to London and when I visit for work I check my team in here. Unfortunately the last time was a real let down. We started in a signature suite (not to be confused with the penthouse suits eg Ebony Suite, when staying there, that was exceptional) 1. Once getting to the room it stank of smoke, not even just a little, it smelled as though there had been a party that had only just finished. More worryingly as a sheer safety concern - all of the smoke alarms were covered with hairnets! I called reception who were apologetic and the duty manager called me back, very nice gentleman, offered a downgrade to a duplex suite (the signature suites were fully booked) or that they could try and remove the smell, we opted for the latter as we had already started getting ready for the evening. The housekeeping manager arrived, again, exceptionally professional with a machine to remove the smell (however we had to be out of the room while it was on - off downstairs for dinner). Result after an hour was pretty good and did surprise us, we made do however the living area smell was heavily reduced, the bedroom and bathroom were still fairly bad. 2. Do not get a signature suite if you plan on trying to sleep… the corridor runs alongside the whole suite so there is a continuous noise of room service trollies / people going past. Again, not trying to exaggerate but there is no soundproofing, it sounds as though people are in the room when they walk past. 3. When getting up to use the bathroom in the night (due to another group walking past outside the room) I noticed when washing my hands that there was no hot water. I ran the shower for about 10 minutes and only cold (we used the shower the night before so wasn’t just me being stupid). We had to be at an event at 7am, showered. I called reception and was told that the maintenance staff weren’t in so couldn’t be resolved until later. We made the decision at 5am that enough was enough and we would drive the 45mins home to get ready and back into town again. 4. I was told several times that the hotel manager would be in touch when they were in but nothing received my end. All in all this put a real dampener on what should have been a good evening and morning of Christmas events, and; frankly, it was terrible value for a £2000 per night room.

Absolutely tremendous bar. Myself and my wife popped in for a quick break from our walk around Mayfair and ended up staying there for about 3 hours. The service was brilliant, polite and friendly. Our host was very helpful with telling us about every cocktail we purchased and he was spot on. Thankyou and definitely will be returning even to probably to stop a few nights.

Stayed in the Amber suite (no balcony). Unfortunately the room smelled like stale cigarettes, the previous guests had been smoking in the room and we found shower caps over the smoke detectors. The room and overall experience was a little underwhelming however the staff were great, kind, friendly and good service.

Stayed for 3 days, bar was unfortunately closed? Breakfast is the best. We had an upgrade but only seemed to apply for a big bathroom nothing special in the room, good bed but not even bathrobes for that price. Great location though and friendly staff

The rooms are horribly old and need to be refurbished. We have stayed here for 15 years, every time we are in London but never again. The bar and lobby is vibrant if this is what you are after but frankly this is no 5 star hotel. They charge 5 star prices but they won’t even clean your room properly. There is stains on the mattress and on the carpets. Absolutely disgusting.

It's a nice, well located hotel. The family liked it. Food at hotel restaurant is good. Staff try to be helpful, especially given the issues with COVID. One grumble might be rooms be a little inconsistent in size.
