If I can rate it negative star, definitely minus 10. There were 3 points that I am unsatisfied with. Firstly, although the morning staff were nice, the night staff were extremely rude which let me very uncomfortable. Never speaking in a polite language and sounds like I own him 1 millions when I asked for a hair dryer and a towel. Secondly, the photos on the website are totally different from the real world. The shared-room is super dark, old, and not clean. I then changed to a private room with a shared bathroom. However the bathroom are totally different from the photos as well, which is very tiny in a square unventilated room, I don’t even have a space to wear clothes. Thirdly, there’s no lift at the whole property, my room was located at level 5, and decided to keep my suitcase down to the luggage room at the basement which cost £3. Btw, the hair dryer needs £10 deposit, they don’t provide a receipt, and told me this is how they do things whether I’m happy or not they don’t care. The towel cost £3.

You get what you pay for at this hostel, a cheap place to sleep. The place seems to have not been up-kept well. One of the showers heads attachment to the wall, was broken. Employees weren’t rude but weren’t nice either. The location is great, just a short walk from the train, multiple groceries stores, and restaurants. I would only stay here, if it were only for one night due to location being easy.

Pretty awful place. Not always cleaned sheets, not comfortable mattresses. Bathrooms often unclean, showers have some broken parts. Generally smelly all around, no plates and cutlery in the kitchen, only a microwave and sink. Photos on the website don't really describe it as it is. Breakfast is good, although there's not much of a choice for the 5£ price you pay for one person. My room didn't have a secured window, so I always thought anyone could get in. Not recommended at all...

Got the wrong room 5 times in a row, not even cleaned. Bathroom lacked soap and toilet paper for all 3 days I was there. There was a hole big enough for a smaller person to climb through the door to the toilet. Staff is nice, but they're victim to the poor system that they're given to work with. Be reasonable and respectful of them and they'll be the same with you. Don't leave any valuables behind in your room. Do yourself a favor and spend some more money elsewhere.

The place looks fine but the there are so many problems. The beds are so hard it's like sleeping on a rock, the doors slam hard and even if ppl try to close quietly they catch and echo very loud. If not closed properly they consistently beep. The showers smell, sensor lights only stay on 5 min so your having to open the door naked and in pitch black darkness and try to trip the sensor. The toilets consistently have no toilet paper or soap or both. Just walking from the shower to your room your feet turn black, I don't think they have cleaned them properly in a while. The staff seem to not care. There is a kitchen that is not accessible to guests????? We get just 1 tiny microwave and an urn. Room numbers do not coincide with floors, level 3 has 1000' and 3000's numbers so you get lost easy. They have no washing powder available so I had to buy a whole bottle for 1 wash only to be told their only machine for what 100+ guests wasn't working. The showers on level 3 are smaller than a street phone box and there are not enough toilets.

My friend led me here for an one night stay because I made an mistake of my bookings. ( I don’t blame him as he is a Londoner.) I didn’t do my research well and I was impressed with the spacious 8-bed room so I decided to stay without further thinking. Then when I came back after having a coffee with my friend, I found something unusual. The guests here are complex. Many homeless people waiting for a placement stay here. I am not downgrading them but keep an eye of your valuable things. The bathroom is okay but no door or curtain. You might be interrupted by someone entering when you are taking shower. The bunk beds are somehow makes me feel insecure as it makes a loud noise when I climb to the upper level. There are very little and basic facilities. The lockers are outside the rooms and many of them are broken. There seems have no kitchen but I can’t be sure as I don’t explore too much and the public space is not very welcomed. I’d say it’s an acceptable place but the atmosphere is very strange. I will definitely change to the other place after one night stay.

You get what you pay for. Don't expect too much. Rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. Bathrooms are clean enough but could be cleaned more often. As for the showers, the water pressure is very poor and avoid touching walls

Very dirty rooms and sanitary installations. Missing door on shower. Toilet paper doesn't get refilled every day (we went a full day without it). Crowded rooms without space to put your space and no lockers in dorm room. Had terrible back pain from the uncomfortable beds. At least, it is well located, still wouldn't recommend it.

There was no contact with the reception. I haven't fly to London due to coronawirus restriction. My stay was for 5 days, but I would have to stay for two weeks quarantine first. They phone was contieniusly ocupied, they do not respond to emails. Very bad, I am totally disapointed. Don't choose it! I warn you! What is more, booking.com refused to publish this opinion on their portal. Don't know why.

This hostel is terrible. It's confusing and dingy.

It's not a bad place but there's a good amount of issues that can be fixed. There's almost no water pressure in some bathrooms. Some Toilet seats are loose and move around when sat on and the staff have done nothing when we informed them about it. There have been mice in our room and heard other guests complain about bugs. Food is regularly stolen out of the fridge. No one told us about hostel services (kitchen, laundry, breakfast ect) when checking in.

Based on the reviews I read beforehand, I was prepared for something bad, but I was actually pleasantly surprised. The room cleaning should have been carried out more professionally, but both the room and bathroom were clean. The bathroom fittings were apparently fairly new. The beds were good. Wipeable mattresses, on which the sheet always slips, but that was ok. BUT: You couldn't shower in our 4-bed room because the shower water was far too hot and couldn't be regulated. However, other rooms did not have this problem. There are almost no shelves or hooks. There are no cupboards at all. The breakfast was very simple but OK. The staff was nice and tried hard (with one exception). Conclusion: don't expect luxury and it's best to bring earplugs because there's a lot going on outside and in the hallways. The location is really very good. 2 minutes walk to the subway and nice pubs in the immediate vicinity.

Awful experience. Because of Covid, my stay has been postponed. They took advantage of the situation, refused to answer... and kept 400 £ ! Easy money, bunch of crooks !

I wouldn't want to stay here again. Good price and location. However first room were given was dirty and we requested a new room. I wouldnt say this is a hostel for travelers but more of a half way house. If you have luggage there are no lifts and most of the rooms are on the 3rd level or higher. The shower was tiny. Litterly the smallest one I've ever seen. Not even a foot between the door and the shower. The new room and bathrooms are clean. Can't put my finger in it. Just didn't get a good vibe from the place

Great location, but the single room I stayed in felt like the kind of place a down and out, drunken writer would go to contemplate the end. I got out alive so hopefully you will too.

I stayed here about a year ago for 1 night and boy was it scary. The shower head was broken so you had to crouch down super low and it was held together by a pony tail. The beds were comfy but the rooms itself were very dated. Nothing like the photos. Location is good but that’s about it. I guess you “get what you pay for”
