We visited the Dorchester for afternoon tea to celebrate a birthday. Whilst the venue is currently under renovation, you wouldn't be able to tell this whilst onsite. The Orchid room is absolutely gorgeous - it felt very sumptuous. The food was amazing, with plenty to go around. We felt welcome from the moment we stepped through the doors - the service here was impeccable, attentive and friendly - thank you so much for making this such a special occasion :)

Make sure to use Hᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking any resort. This site will compare hundreds of booking websites and usually will have prices a lot cheaper compared to others! Thank me later! This place is one of the most well known in this area. I've been staying here for a very long time. If you decide to stay here you definitely won't be let down. The staff are amazingly very helpful.. I had a lot to do that day, spent in for some tea and wow did they make me feel so welcomed. My luggage was taken care of! I would love to send my special thanks to Raul for being so awesome and having great wonderful customer care skill that are impeccable. Thank you' :)

Afternoon tea at the Promenade was just perfect. 5 star service and everyone was friendly and welcoming from the doorman to the hosts. A special mention to Michele who took care of us. He was attentive and made sure everything was excellent. Definitely will recommend to others!

Very nice quick drink here with some friends before moving on to dinner somewhere else. We were on the rooftop. While we couldn’t get a table outside straight away, we managed to get out for the last 15/20min of our stay. Staff are very polite and professional.

We made reservations for high tea and had an incredible experience. Such attention to detail and service. We felt like such royalty Would definitely recommend going for high tea. We didn't stay here, but I'm sure the hotel is top notch as well.

Spectacular. So pretty with welcoming service. The afternoon tea was beautiful as well as really good. One of my favorite experiences during our visit. And, they had a gluten-free selection, which made it even better.

Had lunch at The Grill and it was nothing short of fabulous! We had such an incredible time and the food was delicious. There are so many attentive staff, from the minute we arrived until we left, all the staff make a huge effort to meet and greet and the food service is excellent. We got Matteo's name, thank you Matteo! The decor is so opulent in the restaurant and it's a pure joy to spend two hours in that beautiful room and escape for a while. I had the squid to start, the fish main and chocolate cheesecake for desert. Wonderful. 10 out of 10.

The room was absolutely beautiful and the service was amazing, a big thank you to everyone who looked after us and made our visit so special. We went to the Artists Bar for a drink in the evening which is stunning as is the Promenade where we had a delicious breakfast the next morning. Can’t wait to return.

Fantastic hotel and was lucky enough to have a champagne afternoon tea there. Can't comment on or rate the rooms as we weren't staying sadly. Beautiful decor and wonderful ambience.

If you want luxury and the best of the best go here. This hotel offers exceptionel service, the rooms are of very high standards and they serve one of the best afternoon teas in the world. Prices are high but so is the quality and experience, very highly recommended

A very average luxury hotel - I'm not sure why it is "London's #1 Hotel". The service is nothing compared to that of the Four Seasons. One member of staff (working for housekeeping - russian accent) was so incredibly rude to me over the phone when inquiring about the alteration service, I couldn't believe it. If there are any phone call recordings, I invite the management to listen to how she spoke to me. Totally unacceptable, and she should not be working any sort of customer service related job. Some of the doormen are also busier gossiping than actually doing their job. Few times was the door ever opened for me. I only tried the room service food, and it was very bland and average. Beware, if you order UberEats or any "outside food", there is a £25 fee. The gym closes at 7pm - way too early. One positive is that there is a very good and fast laundry/alteration service. But that's the bare minimum for any luxury hotel. Overall, it's highly unlikely that I'll ever stay at The Dorchester again, unless I have no other options.

My clients were impressed by the renovation and enjoyed the dining experience. They were entertaining friends. Service with a smile. Valet parking available. For us chauffeurs the are very considerate with drop off and collections.

I just love this place. In summer to have cocktails on the roof or winter the stunning afternoon tea. The service is so friendly.

This was a Memorable Sunday Brunch! The service was top notch from the entrance to the dining. My daughter and I felt like royalty. The food was amazing. The best scrambled eggs and cheese I've eaten so far in London! The service was impeccable! There hospitality is A1! We will definitely visit here again on my next trip!

The Afternoon Tea at the Orchid Room was one of the nicest experiences. The hotel has a really nice "old" vibe - am sure these walls have seen and heard things..

Nice to be back after a long time away. They are under renovation - I'm many ways in prefer the orchid room to the old lobby. Service was great. Although not very natural, felt quite forced and stiff - but they cater to a different more old fashioned clientele than places I tend to be at and I suppose some people like that sort of thing. Looking forward to opening and see what they do with with the place. Hope it's not too modern/beige I loved the old faded grandeur of the old Dorchester, you could feel the history of the place.

A friend hired part of the rooftop for a party tonight. I did join later than scheduled only to witness an exchange between a couple of the bouncers and one of the guests. Would have expected better duty of care but the bouncers seemed to be having fun denying the guest entry.

My experience was amazing and I am for sure coming back. I had drinks yesterday at the rooftop with my family and Daniele helped us with such grace and politeness. She contributed to make our experience unforgettable. Overall an exquisite experience 😊

Had afternoon tea (high tea) at the Orchid room , it was lovely, was greeted nicely, the staff was very professional, I didnt like the fact that it was very noisy for late afternoon, too many kids which I didn't appreciate for this type of experience. It should be reserved for adults only to make the experience more classic. Next time i will ask if place is adult only or not, not my geek to be in a classy place enjoying the piano with kids running around and screaming. Service was fine but a bit hectic

We went for Afternoon tea. On that day (Sunday) we couldn’t find Traditional Afternoon tea on our menus, but only ones with champagne. The explanation from the personnel sounded like one with champagne is a default, so we went for it (additional £20+ each glass). Later we found out it seems that you can still ask for traditional afternoon tea even thought it was not on the menu. The room is spacious and all the personnel are attentive but not square, which was good. There was live piano, which added a nice accent, from 13:00. Just that the unclear menu part was a bit off.

I met 2 school.friends for a after noon tea . It was very good and the service excellent. The waiters poured the tea. Lovely after noon we had a glass of bubbley. I really enjoyed the tea . We were not rushed. There was a lady playing the piano while we had tea.

Nothing was too much trouble. Early check-in was helpful. Currently undergoing refurbishment so will forgive them the parking issues. A proper suite with fantastic views over Hyde Park. The chocolate model of the hotel, homemade lemon cake and champagne were nice touches. Would stay again.

Arrived at The Dorchester with my partner and thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon tea. The scones and sandwiches were amazing and our server was polite and friendly. Piano being played whilst eating was a nice touch. Only downside was not being greeted by staff on arrival, I had to interrupt their conversation to let them know we were there for afternoon tea. Maybe we didn’t look the part? Beautiful hotel
