For 2 nights at Β£300 in the Ambassadors Hotel, I was given a small room with no chair, but a small stool, and a tiny table cluttered with coffee maker and tray of cups etc. I could not work in the room and I could not relax, apart from lying on the bed. The shower and toilet became bunged up during use. The sink was tiny and I could hardly fit into the alcove it was fitted into. The continental breakfast facilities were excellent. The staff were mostly stiff and formal- only one demonstrated any sense of warmth or welcome. I recommend avoiding this place, since value for money, I give it 1 out of 10.

I visited this hotel today for an afternoon tea experience with a close friend as a treat for her birthday. As soon as I entered the hotel I approached the reception desk at 2.30pm where two members of staff were busy giggling to themselves and when I politely asked where to go for afternoon tea was glared at by the young woman and met with stoney silence, as if that was an absurd question. She was extremely rude, and if I were considering staying the night after my tea, I wouldn't have done based on her behaviour. The tea itself was very nice and all those working in the Number 12 restaurant were amicable, this lady let the side down and was very unwelcoming.

This is budget hotel in a very central location. I see a lot of negative reviews about this hotel- small rooms, taps dripping, showers not great, no air con. But to be fair we got this room quite cheap. It's a stone's throw from two district line underground stations and so much more right on your doorstep. The room was clean and met our basic needs. Staff were fine, we didn't have much interaction and they were helpful the couple of times we did. We literally came here to sleep, wash and change our clothes so if you're expecting the Ritz don't book here. If you want a cost effective central hotel that meets your basic needs and more then go for the Ambassadors hotel.

Even though they messed up our reservations from a basement triple room into to separate double bedrooms we were still please with staff and the cleanliness of the rooms in general. Although I did find a spot of blood on my bed sheets with grossed me out a little but that it wasn’t much to complain about. The bathroom was good and clean, and was expected to be seen, the shower was working perfectly without any problems balancing the water temperature. The breakfast was as good as expected including an English Breakfast and etc. Overall, the hotel is a great place to stay at if you are on a budget with close proximity to Kensington and Central London.

I have been meaning to leave this review for years. My husband and I stayed here in 2018 and had a terrible "haunting" experience. Our room was on the top floor in the attic overlooking the graveyard / church cemetery. We stayed there for 3 nights and each morning we found our hotel door wide open to the hallway. After the first night we locked it each time going to bed, but still found it wide open the next day. Bad energy. Would not recommend.

Our room was in the basement, where the hallway was like a labyrinth. No windows, a bit dusty, smelled like chlorine. Tiny bathroom, not very clean. The breakfast was just typical English, no veggies or fruit, though they did have Lidl yogurt cups. For the price it was OK, so if you have the room only to sleep in then it's okay. The beds were fine, but they were on wheels for some reason.

This is a lovely basic hotel. Good staff, nice reception area. Clean but small lift. Room is so peaceful and clean. Good bed and TV is easy to view. I think this is a wonderful hotel in a nice area, close to loads of places. It has fantastic transport links and lies in a safe area. This will be my new go to hotel after staying in some right dumps in years gone by.

Reasonable budget hotel for non picky guests. If you want a simple single/double room just to sleep, wash up, refreshed, then its good. Don expect 5star service. Things given in the room is basic eg TV, kettle, coffee/tea, 2 in 1 shampoo/conditioner, soap, plastic disposable cups, hangers, hairdryer, all these are basic good. Except the coffee machine(don see what purpose it is there) Those who expect 5stars amenities, then don book. But the location of the hotel is good. N underground subway near too. Hotel must do refurbishment. Stayed here twice. So far so good.

Whilst being situated in a very convenient location, the stay overall was appalling. The room was covered in dust and the floor was dirty upon arrival, there was hair in the bathtub, toilet seat and towel rack were broken, cobwebs above the bed etc. Whilst the cleaners were nice, the owner of the hotel was rude and disrespectful - he told us we could leave our luggage in the reception alongside the other guests’, yet a minute later after we carefully placed the luggage and left, he had changed his mind, chased us down the street and shouted at us for leaving our bags despite his instructions and permission to leave them. Confused, we quietly left despite feeling attacked and were upset that our trip ended on a sour note. Would not recommend this hotel as the photos of the rooms are also deceiving and embellished, compared to reality.

Good value for money I e. Super cheap and good cleanliness but the reception really lets the side down. It takes so long to check in and queue for check in is so long. Superr frustrating that e-cards for rooms don't work and the ones that did work then ceased to work so another long time spent in the queue. So frustrating!!!!

Sadly this hotel has taken the Home Office cash and will be closed for the next two years to accommodate economic migrants. If it ever reopens to the public remember to boycott!
