As an American it's quite a shock to see such small hotel rooms. That said, a lot of the fixtures and other furniture was very old. It could definitely use some renovations. This hotel is really close to Hyde Park, so if that's something you really want to explore and you're also trying to visit London on the cheaper side I would recommend it. Unfortunately most of the places I wanted to visit were pretty far away from this hotel. I really had to rely on public transportation to get anywhere, walking distance would have cost me hours. There's not much to eat close to here also. I really disliked the breakfast even though it was included. The desk service was helpful though. As said before, unless you're really trying to save money I would choose another place.

Budget Hotel would be heaven compared to this place. Short stay after some travels elsewhere. The bed was the least comfortable thing we have ever slept on. Shower / bath combo lead to 1/2 the bathroom floor being soaked. Housekeeping didn't do the normal "spruce" of the room. Buffet breakfast - BE WARY!! This was just a plethora of bread with some cheese slices! If you want additional breakfast items, you need to pay for them. Why offer buffet breakfast if that's going to be the case!? Highly recommend any of the countless hotels nearby.

Quite dated, room clean but a bit shabby and dreary. Awful breakfast, poor quality meat, sausage was under cooked. The only good thing was the coffee. We paid for breakfast the day before but later changed our minds, we asked at the desk to cancel and said he couldn't as he'd cashed up his till but gave us a receipt so we could do it later. Went back and was told it wouldn't be possible and we would need to speak to the manager in the morning. To much faff so we took our chances with the breakfast - wish we hadn't bothered.

Visiting from America, the hotel wasn’t what I would expect from home but was an enjoyable stay. The rooms were a bit shabby but clean, and the location was great. The breakfast was not great, I wouldn’t recommend paying for that. Didn’t seem worth it, and we ate breakfast elsewhere everyday after the first experience at the continental breakfast. The staff (especially the cleaning staff) were friendly and helpful. The elevator is very small, so we preferred the stairs if we weren’t moving luggage. I would absolutely stay here again.

I have stayed here on several occasions now and it serves my needs perfectly. Staff are friendly, helpful and professional. The premises itself is clean and tidy, a little dated perhaps, but I feel that this only adds to its charm. Rooms are on the small side but they’re very well appointed and have all the amenities one could ask for, in a hotel at this price point. Situated in Bayswater, it’s a short bus ride away from Mayfair/Piccadilly or a pleasant half hour walk through Hyde Park. If you’re looking for a nice, centrally located place to stay, that doesn’t break the bank, Holiday Villa is a great choice. Highly recommended

The hotel room was ugly and very dirty. We found an eaten biscuit pack under the bed, dirty glasses in the bathroom, moisture on the walls, hairs all over the ground (which by the way smelled like old feet) Plus it was pretty far from the main subway station. For a 100 euros per night, it's really not acceptable.

Good value for the price (we got good deals from Agoda). Although the hotel is old, the location is great and the staff is really helpful. A lot of food options nearby, as well a grocery stores. We arrived super early and since our room was ready, they immediately checked us in - thanks Maria! Really appreciate that after a long flight and arrived early in the morning. The room is small but since you’re not gonna spend time in there, should be fine. I appreciate the size of the bathroom - huge for a hotel in central London with loads of room to move around. If you need easy access room, best to make it clear to the hotel as I’m sure they will help. The layout of our room was a bit weird, as you enter, you have to go down 3 steps.

An excellent hotel just off Hyde Park. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were pleasantly sized and were very clean. The on site bar and restaurant was very nice to relax in after a long day of site seeing. Would recommend.

I really enjoyed staying here in the summer of 2017. I found that the rooms were clean and kept well. I liked the antiqueness of the hotel and I think that the price matched what I got. Although the staff was nice, I personally think they could improve the breakfast. Overall, I definitely would come here again, especially since it was so close to everything in London.

Easily the worst stay in London so far. Right at arrival we were told to wait in the lobby while the staff proceeded to shout at each other behind the desk. We were then told the pre-book rooms we're yet to be payed and then exeeded the booking price given at pre-booking! The elevator was nowhere near sufficiently sized, so it was near to impossible to use it without waiting 20 minutes for it to be empty. The Room was filthy, carpet was full of hair and the bathroom was mouldy. The hallways were squeeky and all the furniture was tilted, because the floor was not level at all. Generally not a nice atmosphere. The Place has seen better times but then again probably decades ago. Worst stay in London. Basic Hostel near Paddington Station is a 5 Star Hotel compared to this worn out place .

One of the worst hotels i have ever been. First of all, the hotel staff was really unfriendly and incompetent. At the arrival we were asked to wait because the reception guy had to do some paperwork?! I mean shouldn't hotel guests have priority? Furthermore they gave as a room on the 4th floor and the elevator was broken, yeah we had to carry all the lugages on our own up there great. The guy told us that we could change our room on the next day, which never happened, because they were always booked out appearently. The worst thing was the window, which couldn't be closed and since there was a storm the window kept opening on its own and the wind blew right into our room. The only positive aspect is the location because it is near to the bayswater station and has one of the best chinese restaurant around(Gold Mine).

The staff were not overly welcoming or rude. The room was outdated with dull interior. The bathroom had a mixer shower which had low water pressure and an inconsistent temperature of water, I got burnt a few times. Did expect a shower with a thermostat atleast. Toilet flush handle was wobbly making it difficult to use. Good bits: cheap enough per night, close to Paddington station, a nice large fan was available to use. Overall for the price slightly disappointing. Would definitely recommend for a one night short stay.

The hotel is in a great spot close to tube stations and just west of London city centre. The staff was very friendly, the price was great, and the rooms were clean, if a little outdated. The room also included a smartphone that had calling and internet, and you could take it on your day trips. Very useful! The only issue I had with the place was the lack of any kind of centralized air. Our room was blazing hot each day, and we had to use the fans to try and cool it off.
