We pop in for lunch with our dog. Even if didn’t booked they found table for us. All experience was great from arrival to departure. Personal where extremely careful, politely accurate and seemed really loved what they do. Food was good, not great but really good. Our dog loved Dogs afternoon tea menu. Overall great experience and I’m absolutely sure we will be back

Everything was amazing during our stay! From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. The entire experience was like living a dream. The staff’s attention to every detail did not go unnoticed—they truly cared and it made all the difference. I was especially delighted to find Turkish eggs on the breakfast menu; it's a treat I rarely get to enjoy, and it truly added a special touch to the mornings. Moreover, the location of the hotel was outstanding—conveniently close to everything we wanted to see and do. This made our exploration of the area effortless and enjoyable. Overall, the hotel exceeded our expectations on every level, and I can't wait to return.

Doggy afternoon tea at the Egerton House Hotel was definitely worth it! Attention to detail and the puppies treated like royalty. A perfect afternoon made so by the super friendly and efficient service. Both dog and kid friendly.

My wife, doggy and I went for afternoon tea and it was fabulous. Super friendly staff, the tea, sandwiches and cakes were divine and we just had an exceptional time. If you're looking for a dog friendly place to go and have afternoon for you and your partner or friends, you will absolutely love the Egerton House Hotel.

My family and I enjoyed staying here but we'll only come back for drinks. Let me explain. The Egerton House has a beautiful, flower-clad front and small, nicely decorated rooms. The atmosphere is indeed like that of a grand home. All of the staff we interacted with were nothing but lovely, clearly taking pride to work in this place. However, the pricing and 5-star rating struck me as somewhat of a stretch. What you pay here almost gets you a room in The Savoy or other famous hotels. For that price, I would expect some of the furniture and the plumbing to be in better shape; perhaps bigger rooms; more and certainly more modern amenities. The food was good but overpriced, even for Knightsbridge standards. We spent a memorable evening here sipping Egerton martinis in the drawing room, and we'll be back for that experience. But next time we'll stay at The Savoy instead.

We were visiting from the US and came here for afternoon tea and it was the highlight of our trip! They even had vegetarian and vegan options, and both were delicious!! Servers were all super friendly and attentive and the scones, sandwiches, and desserts were all amazing. We had the best time!!

I neglected to write a review when we stayed here back in October. We came based on the reviews and we were not disappointed. The small touches are what make a boutique experience memorable and this had a long list - great location, great recommendations for dining and anything else you might want, delicious shortbread in the lobby and the room, fresh fruit, turndown service with sweets, warm towels, candles in the bath. We had a very late day once and they set up a table in the drawing room just for us! Having a martini made by the fabulous bartender is totally worth the price - table side service and the drinks were amazing! Kudos to everyone! We loved it here and have recommended it multiple times since our stay. We definitely hope to return!

What an amazing experience! From the bartenders and staff, to the housekeepers and concierge, they took great care of us. A special thank you to Mustafa, Rosie, Angel, and Benjamin for your helpful and cheerful service! We are truly sad to leave this place! Great location, great hospitality, and great service! 10/10 and would highly recommend for anyone wanting to enjoy their London stay. They made us feel welcome and home. We will definitely be back!

Home from home is a statement often made by the London hotels but this really was, a sister to the OGH on Guernsey and sharing the same ethos, this really is a wonderful place to use as a base, ideal for the V&A my favourite museum and with a acces pass to the exhibitions a very nice perk. South Kensington on the door step and access to all the London attractions easily . Room and staff were of course to the usual excellent standard front desk incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. Home from home indeed.

Absolute pure luxury! We stayed at Christmas, the hotel was beautifully decorated with a mulled wine station in reception. Staff were very welcoming, the room was amazing, little touches like freshly made gingerbread in the room. Housekeeping laid out all my toiletries on little napkins which was amazing. Wonderful breakfast and cute gin bar. Will definitely be going again.

Everything about this hotel is perfect. The food, rooms, martinis, staff etc. Our whole family stayed for 4 days and we had such a nice time. The staff is extremely helpful and goes above and beyond. Because it isn't a large hotel you get personal attention that I've only seen at a handful of places I've stayed. We made great memories here and can't wait to return. Location is also great. Near Harrods in an awesome neighborhood. Shopping, restaurants, pubs, and landmarks like Kensington and Buckingham palace and museums are walking distance. The martinis in the bar are incredible. I'll be trying to replicate back home.

We visited for the afternoon tea experience and it was quite chaotic from beginning to end. Upon arrival the hotel was being decorated outside for Christmas and there was no clear pathway and had to wait a few minutes for us to be let through. One of the decorators whilst seated came behind me to check the window view which was behind my seat. Staff were polite and welcoming however there’s a lack of self awareness and professionalism. As whilst we was dining, cleaning was being executed, with a Henry hoover in sight too! Very uncomfortable and disturbed our experience as the last thing you want to hear is a hoover whilst eating. Cleaning was also being done downstairs whilst I was visited the toilet. Afternoon tea was lovely but the experience was not unfortunately. Such a shame for a place is such a prominent area.

I’m biased: I love quirky, small, boutique Hotels with character and charm - the Egerton House Hotel ticks all those boxes! Fantastic service - the staff are polite, efficient and super-friendly. Small but lovely bar that serves absolutely delicious food - comfort food cooked with creativity. We tried the chicken noodle soup, a tomato and aubergine soup, a vegetable pasta dish and a chicken pot pie….all absolutely excellent. The 2 rooms we had were perfect - medium-sized by London standards, great facilities for teas, coffees, etc and room service that was amazingly fast and very courteous. Final stamp of approval - us Brits enjoy a bath and our room had a great bath and a water system that could fill it in under a minute! This oasis of loveliness, tucked away in a quiet street in Knightsbridge gets my top marks. We will be back!

The Edgerton House is a gorgeous hotel! The staff is absolutely incredible. They so nice and super helpful, especially Lili. They gave great recommendations on places to visit and eat. The attention to detail is amazing and the turn down service was a nice added treat. Not only were the staff and rooms incredible, the food was absolutely delicious! The hotel is in a beautiful and great location. It has lots of museums and shopping nearby. It was also a convenient location for getting on at different underground stations.

I had the pleasure of experiencing the afternoon tea at The Egerton House Hotel, and it was truly a divine treat! Although I didn't stay at the hotel, the afternoon tea alone was enough to leave a lasting impression on me. Firstly, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the Egerton House Hotel is dog-friendly. This thoughtful touch made the experience even more enjoyable, knowing that I could share this special moment with my furry friend by my side. It's not often that you find such a pet-friendly establishment, and it speaks volumes about their commitment to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all guests. The decor at The Egerton House Hotel is nothing short of amazing. Stepping into the elegant surroundings instantly transported me to a quintessentially British ambience. The attention to detail in the interior design, the charming furnishings, and the tasteful touches all contributed to a sophisticated and inviting atmosphere. Of course, no review would be complete without mentioning the excellent service I received. The staff at The Egerton House Hotel were attentive and courteous, making me feel like a valued guest from the moment I arrived. Their friendly demeanour added a warm touch to the overall experience, ensuring that every aspect of my afternoon tea was delightful. Speaking of the afternoon tea itself, it was a true delight. The selection of teas, coupled with the delectable array of treats, was a gastronomic pleasure. From delicate finger sandwiches to scrumptious scones and exquisite pastries, each item on the menu was expertly prepared and presented, making it an unforgettable culinary experience. In conclusion, my visit to The Egerton House Hotel for afternoon tea left me thoroughly impressed and satisfied. Even without staying at the hotel, I can confidently say that their commitment to providing a delightful experience shines through in every aspect of their service. With its dog-friendly policy, amazing decor, and excellent service, The Egerton House Hotel is a must-visit destination for anyone seeking a quintessentially British and memorable experience.

The afternoon tea experience was absolutely incredible! They went out of their way to accommodate us despite us showing up on a wrong date. Vegan scones were out of this world! And they even generously shared the recipe! Highly recommend this place!

This is a review for afternoon tea, but after visiting I would definitely look into staying here! They have fabulous gluten free and vegan options. The gluten free scones were the best gluten free baked good we've ever tasted. Anywhere. The tea room is adorable, quaint and everything you want. The service is impeccable, you can book online, and I couldn't ask for anything else. The gluten and dairy filled offerings are great as well according to my son. :)

Booked a 2 night stay with my wife after finally getting a sitter for the kids for a weekend. This was after getting married during covid, and not having a honeymoon. There is an option for a "romantic turndown" of the room, where the room is prepared with a bottle of champagne in an ice-bucket, chockolate dipped strawberries and rose petals arranged on the bed, and around the bathroom. A few days before arrival, the concierge of the hotel contacted me about the planning of this, and enquired about the circumstances of our trip. They concluded that this was our honeymoon, and pulled out ALL the stops to make the stay an unforgettable experience. From the moment we entered the buidling, we were made to feel welcome and taken care of to an outstanding degree. Every member of staff we encountered was a true gem. Recieving a complimentary upgrade to the room (very unexpected) and small extra services at several occasions also contributed to making us love every second of the stay. If you stay at this hotel I would also strongly reccommend that you book a taable for the afternoon tea! This is not a sleek, minimalist scandinavian-style 5 star hotel with a pool and a gym. But hotels with those qualities are easy to find. This is a small hotel that oozes charm, and makes you feel welcome and pampered in a way I have never experienced in any other hotel. So if you want to take your significant other to a romantic trip to London, I can strongly reccommend the Egerton House Hotel.

We stayed here this past summer and all the staff there went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Our room was beautiful and had plenty of space. The attention to detail and service was on another level, better than most 5 stars hotels! We loved the daily turndown service, as it made relaxing after a long day of walking and exploring London so much more deserved. The inclusive breakfast was great, plenty of delicious choices. The lounge and bar room is nicely decorated and we enjoyed our afternoon tea there, lots of food provided so well worth the cost for tea time - we barely made it through the second tier! Location was also great, quietly located on a side street so you're away from all the hustle and bustle. Short walk to the underground station and a lot of site seeing places! The service and hospitality we experienced at the Egerton House exceeded our expectations, I highly recommend staying here!

Oh my goodness—I had the stay of my life at The Egerton House Hotel! Hands down my favorite hotel experience thus far. The staff couldn’t have made me feel more welcomed and cared for, from start to finish. I arrived in the morning hours before my check in, but the staff welcomed me and allowed me to leave my luggage and freshen up in the lovely washroom downstairs—a little sneak peak for my stay! My room was impeccable and cozy and oh so elegant. All of the little touches—from the glass jars of candies in the lobby to the music played in the dining room, make the Egerton just so, so special. I so look forward to my next stay here. Thank you Egerton House for making me feel so at home!

We were really looking foreward to stay at this pretty hotel, but shortly after the booking we received an email from the property announcing additional "discretionary charges" that were not posted upfront. This appeared quite shady because who knows what else they would come up with. We found this to be very respectless towards the guests financial decisions. Why not simply ask for a higher rate from the very beginning? Poor Brittania? This has never ever happened to us on our many trips to London. Well, it was not hard to find another splendid option in the city that was able to produce a transparent listing of all upcoming charges, which we will be more than happy to pay.

Definitely not worth what we paid for. The room was small and dark, the bed uncomfortable, the breakfast quite basic. The hotel smelled old. When we checked out, they charged us an additional £30 as a service charge, and you have to ask if you want that removed.

Wonderful. A charming, beautifully kept and comforting oasis from the hustle and bustle of Kensington and Knightsbridge, but just a stone’s throw away. The staff are attentive without being intrusive, the rooms are lovingly furnished and nothing is too much trouble. Would we stay again? You bet!

  • 2/5 Simone P. 1 year ago on Google
Really bad value for money! Extremely expensive for what you get. They pre charge £50 per night for accidentals and an additional £15 per day as an optional service charge which you have to ask if you want removed. The pillow and the bed were uncomfortable and the room was quite small. Breakfast could have been better.

Last week by chance we stopped into the bar at the Egerton for a tea and a cocktail, and a break from our sightseeing. We were served by the loveliest and most professional bartender Sabhi, and had absolutely wonderful refreshments and conversation. Thank you for treating us so graciously, despite not being guests of the hotel. I hope on our next visit we will have the pleasure of staying here!
