Will stay again. Room 786. Spotless, spacious and quiet. Great menu and steak cooked to perfection with high calibre steak knives. Breakfast was very busy but staff still very professional even with very rude people. Fabulous choice. Applaud every member of staff. Great walking location to Theatre land.

Stayed in this hotel more than 5 times but last time was May be 5 years back. The hotel has been totally renovated and much better now. Good value for money although that the prices went up extremely high. Breakfast is always nice and full of different items. The only challenge that I have personally is that the rooms are spreading all over with lots of walking inside the corridors. all tge beat and keep it up

We spent five nights at thistle hotel. The hotel is in a perfect location -- in the middle of Oxford street which looks and feels like the London out of a movie. Lots of restaurants and shops. And near by hyde park and marble arch underground station just by walking. The staff really gets to know you, and the rooms are wide. Being London hotel rooms, they are on the smaller size, but the design takes this into account. Our kids loved the british breakfast. The staff were great -- helpful, attentive, communicative. Hajar -- who works at the front desk morning was especially great and impressive. She saw to our every need, really went out of her way. I wasn't able to sign up for a delivery service or an online take away order without a UK cell and she volunteered to let me use her application and helped us set up the order. When we had issues in our room she was ready to help (safety box issue that no one helped us to solve). Everyone was great but she stood out. We will def return to this fab spot.

This hotel was one of the most wonderful hotels on London. But at this time my experience was very bad as the staff was unprofessional and the supervisor was rude. They was treating the gusts very bad and they was shouting on them. They will give you a smaller room even if you booked a big room category. The facilities was not working properly ( escalators and left). I’m advising everyone who’s deciding to book a room in London to avoid this hotel as there’s many hotels cheaper and you never treated bad

I have been staying in this hotel yearly several times over the past 18 years. Every time I arrive here it feels like a home away from home. The location is perfect the breakfast is exquisite and the cleanliness is very good. The jewel in the crown is truly the staff headed by Onur the supervisor. They are very attentive, polite, and professional. Every time I arrive they treat me so well and provide me with the feeling as if I have never left home. I truly recommend this hotel.

Lovely hotel with very friendly, helpful staff and great breakfast! Room was very comfortable. Great location for the Christmas lights, shopping and west end. Only criticism would be the smokers congregating outside. When the doors open you get hit with a lungful of nicotine and carcinogenics.

Honest hotel review Stayed for a midweek mini break with my o.h with a discounted room. Comfortable, clean, good size rooms. Bed comfortable. AC quiet and works well. Excellent location. Pricey for the level of service and upkeep of rooms. Shower was good. Wobbly drawers on the furnishings, broken kettle, which took 90 minutes to be replaced after asking twice. Very busy, undesirable clientele. busy at breakfast with a lot of families and young children taking over the place but the buffet was varied and filling. Room is not worth the original price especially out of the holidays and midweek.

Having just spent 2 nights at this jaded and shabby hotel I wanted to share the sad and disappointing experience we had in order to spare others from futures shock. We booked an "Executive Room" and apart from a very expensive price tag and a larger than normal room (Tiny bathroom) I cannot imagine why it is called "Executive" ? The room was uncomfortable, dull and dated, with a broken side table, hard uncomfortable bed and the smallest pillows I have ever experienced in a hotel anywhere in the world. The bathroom products unlike the hotel room description were cheap (made in China) nasty items you would not want to use on your skin. The "free" mini bar consisted of 2 cans of Coke, 2 waters and some popcorn ! the TV did not work and constantly turned off every 15 minutes most channels did not connect either. The experience from check in to check out was a joke, staff barely had the skills to communicate or acknowledged guests, in the "Executive Lounge" we were completely ignored by the attendant on 2 occasions (we did not bother going back) the limited breakfast in the lounge on day 1 was targeted at a particular group so there was no bacon, or sausage and despite being in the capital of Britain was focussed on people from the Middle East and this was plain across the whole hotel. We asked for 2 extra pillows and received 1, we asked where the main breakfast was served to be told "There" pointing to a room on the 1st floor, where does this hotel hire its staff from and what training in customer service do they provide ? The housekeeping staff could be heard shouting and talking at all times of the day with each other and slamming doors, disturbing guests in their rooms. The main breakfast was mediocre, the room hot and stuffy and a complete let down. This hotel changes names every so many years for some reason....probably so people forget how bad it is but don't be fooled it is a dump and only interested in catering for people from certain countries. I cannot stop thinking about such a waste of almost £700 for 2 awful nights stay. Looking at the reviews they are pretty poor and the response from the general manager robotic and in line with our experience. There are loads of better hotels right next door.

okay, so i never write reviews, but i guess I’m doing it now. First off, asked for a connecting room MONTHS before our stay, guess what - no rooms were available when we came, great. Asked to change — fully booked no space. Glasses were filthy, housekeeping wouldn’t change them. Used towels would just be folded back up — they weren’t changed. (I know because there was makeup on one). Breakfast is a nightmare, god forbid you need the toilet, they will make you wait in the line AGAIN to go back in, even though your family is sitting inside. Asked reception for extra blanket and new, CLEAN glasses, never received any. The sink in our room was broken, it took them FIVE DAYS to send someone to the room to fix it. The receptionist(woman) also said they needed ‘outside help’ even though when i asked reception the next day the guy was confused as to why i was told that. Room is …..okay… compared to the price. You are paying for the location, that’s it. Also- please don’t tell me that you “hope that your recent experience has not permanently tarnished your perception of our hotel and services, and hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back again the next time your travels take you to London” Because it looks like that's the automatic answer given to everyone with no intention of change or fixing the problems.

I stayed in the hotel in one week and the hotel was very cozy and the room was comfortable also the staff was helpful and friendly. But there was one problem. There was two elevators and one of them was not working, so all the people was using it even the stuff was using it for taking out the garbage ( bad smell ) and carrying customers luggage, it was for everything. And I’m using wheelchair so I have to wait 15 minutes just for the elevator !! And I wonder why the stuff didn’t fix the elevator it was one week,

(Note: i made the reservation myself on this hotel's website directly, so I'm not sure why their reply mentions contacting a different supplier) I rarely leave reviews for hotels but I wanted to share my thoughts on this hotel. The two Pros: good location and the room was quite large (we had a triple room). But the Cons would make me not want to stay here again. The room, particularly the bathroom, was somewhat dirty. I wasn't expecting spotless but this was dirtier than expected. The pillows were flat as pancakes, on all 3 beds. I have never had such flat pillows in any hotel nor am I particularly picky about pillows. But when they are this flat, it was noticeable and quite uncomfortable. While it is advertised as having AC, it functioned more like a basic fan, meaning the air was really not cool at all. It was about 85 degrees outside during our stay and our room never got comfortable. We had a room with the windows facing an interior mechanical space which meant there was no opportunity for a breeze, so opening the windows didn't help either. And while Europe doesn't generally have AC the way we are used to in the US, the hotel advertised itself as having AC but it didn't even rise to the level of a decent fan. We spent 17 days in Europe and this was the only hotel with AC issues.

Room was a nice size although far away as you could possibly get from the lifts. There were meant to be 4 working lifts bit only 2 were working which meant almost a 10 min wait to get one which is rather frustrating. Check in staff were friendly and helpful. Didn't stay for breakfast so can't comment on that. It is a very tourist hotel but ok for one night which I needed. Great location for Oxford St and Hyde Park

I had a very pleasant one-night stay at the hotel. Late check in was easy, as friendly staff are available round the clock to assist it would seem. Late check out was easy to arrange and flexible. The rooms were quiet with a comfy bed and air conditioning that was not overpowering and kept the room at a reasonable temperature. Would definitely stay again.

Good hotel in a great location, but I've stayed twice and had to swap rooms on both occasions due to minor issues (Aircon not working, noise from adjoining room). Breakfast is good, with an omelette station and lots of bread choices along with the usual breakfast buffet. Marble Arch station is 2 minutes away, Elizabeth Line is a 5 minute walk, so quick access to anywhere in London.

Cozy rooms and they are decent and reasonably spacious. I liked the friendliness attitude and atmosphere. Special thanks to Christina for accommodating my special request to change the room for a bigger mattress.

Very modern hotel, staff and kind and helpful. I stayed in a very large Deluxe room (at least so I remember) as stated by the official hotel website The breakfast was well stocked with both salty and sweet foods which I was very satisfied with. The room was very clean. The services and the food offered by the hotel I have not tried it even though I have looked at the prices and they are very high. The bed in my opinion was comfortable but a bit hard, the room is also equipped with a Smart TV. The thing that struck me the most is the location, as it is within walking distance of the Mable Arch metro stop. To Go Back

I stayed at Thistle Marble Arch in June for a trip with friends. The service was outstanding right from the check in. We have arrived earlier than check in and we didn’t expect to check-in early but Natalia managed to get us an early check in. She made sure that we were well taken care of until the check out. We had a delicious full English breakfast. We planned to stroll the city after the check out - we were able to store the luggage for several hours and later we able to book at the concierge a taxi to go to the airport. Definitely will return.

Check in was fast with no complications. Bags were brought to our rooms. Room size is excellent compared to other hotels in the area. Clean rooms. Complimentary water and drinks in the fridge. Room service is fast. No complaints.

I have stayed here a few times with work and continue to be impressed by this hotel. The location is fantastic, right on the corner of Hyde Park and Marble Arch, close to several tube stations also. The hotel is large and generously proportioned, with big corridors and a nice open feel. Reception staff are very friendly and welcoming and make sure to ask you for any specifics for your room, for example I wanted a shower instead of a bath and they were more than happy to make the change. The rooms themselves are very large for central London, and well appointed and modern. I really appreciate having a fridge in the room, and one that can actually cook things, and the Nespresso machine helps in the mornings. The beds are large and very comfortable with high quality bedding and I always slept well. Air con works well which was important as London was very hot for one of my stays. I really like this hotel and would recommend a stay!

Perfect comfortable hotel. We liked our stay, from the very entrance concierge took our bags and kindly delivered to the room, which is great, we did not expect that! We were lucky that morning and got the room after 30 min waiting on lobby, as it was just after our morning flight, thanks to Nataly at Guest services, she did her best, thanks! Room was amazing, we loved it: quite big, with clean and comfortable bathroom, coffee machine was just in room, we enjoy to have early morning coffee as at home. Our meeting was in centre, so took us literally 20 min to be at Piccadilly Circus. Hotel is good, we would advise!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Thistle London Marble Arch hotel. The prime location, stylish rooms, exceptional service, and delicious dining options made it a memorable experience. Highly recommended!

As we checked in there were huge crowds, we were lucky to check in earlier with at guest services station, Natali was very attentive to us, managed to provide us the nice room with a view we wanted. We liked everything, so our special thank you is for her!

Large, clean rooms. Very friendly staff. Great bar on the same level as the reception area. Would not recommend staying on the first floor as you’re above the casino and the music can be quite loud below on Friday and Saturday evening. Definitely planning on staying here again however. Great location in Marble Arch.

This hotel is really has a 4 stars of bad service customer ever!! The receptionists here always late answering calls and they did not willing to help you anyway till you asked the same order 2 times minimum. However they have a lots of polices which is not logically acceptable. Ex: They said, they can not provide us with a knife or scissor for out safety 😂 but they did provided my next door friend with that! She has already a knife in her room for cutting some fruits. Even when I asked them just to bring it to cut something and bring it back mediately (they said ok we are busy come to take it by your self if you wish) Regarding the cleaning here, they did clean good but they did not refill the shower stuff till you asked them many times as well as tissues, coffee and waters. Moreover there manger came to ask you to rate his people 5 stars and they will do it perfectly next time and give me a bunch of them by one time? it's really matter of bad leading\ procedures over here. (Note: I have to saying that the cleaners are polite enough and very friendly). Indeed I can not forget when we arrived and heard someone asked about smoking in rooms and the receptionist’s answer we will kick you off the hotel if this happened and this will be the expensive smoking experience you ever have. Because they will ask you to pay 500 pounds before “kick you off” as he literally said. What an wonderful behavior \ answer to the customer question. 👎 Anyway, this is my experience here and I will not recommend this hotel for anyone.

Update: I changed to a five star review because I only had incidents at the check in and on my first few hours but after I finishes my stay over there everything was great… the rooms are wide and clean, room service was great, the services was great too and the hotel atmosphere is safe and friendly. I would definitely come back This hotel has a very poor service if you want to pay for a place to stay without being served you are going to like this…. Rooms wont be served to you only after hours of waiting and talking to them and for the luggage the same thing. You will be surprised how a simple thing can be very complicated. Plus they don’t pick up calls!

Updated +++++++ Apart from the wait (my earlier comment below), I have upgraded this post from a 1 star to a 5 star.. Everything is almost perfect despite being short staffed and with many guests.. will come here again.. but I think the manage need to do something with enforcing the non smoking rooms.. I think due to the internal circulation, I could smell smoke which might come from the other rooms.. Stayed in 728.. Earlier +++++ Not rating the stay yet but here is my check-in experience. But arrived at 4.45pm and my room is not ready yet. Plus I have to go down to ground floor to place my bags with the concierge. Not a good check in experience and first impression. Let's hope the room is good.

Amazing hotel in almost everything. Super location, spacious rooms even standard ones, lively lobby and above all of that, staff are tremendously super frindly and supportive. Lifts are quick. Vibrant hotel. Thank Terrance for being so nice and super star staff with me. I'm definitely staying again in Thistle.

This is a very good Hotel. Definitely earnt it's 4-star status, and has an appreciable capacity. Excellent staff all round, especially at the Bar. If you're visiting the city and want a central location - this is the one. (Admittedly I booked with another hotel in the group but was moved here but couldn't be happier with it). Rooms are spacious with good facilities and showers, and a large bed (admittedly a compound of 2 singles). All very clean - a coffee machine is in the room for you, and some complimentary items in the fridge. Bar is very good, and very reasonable and the breakfast is superb and served until 10:30 but requires a small additional fee. However do try to check out promptly, or they start ringing the room fire alarm to hurry you, this was the one thing I didn't appreciate... prevented a full usage of the very vast hot drinks array in the room.

Spent two nights and was a really comfortable experience, the room was lovely and clean. The breakfast was an incredible and delicious range. It was clearly very popular but it never took long for us to be seated. The only shame was the fact that neither our TV and phone worked in the room, though staff were apologetic and we were given some extra amenities to make up for this. Would return- even if it was just for the divine olives at breakfast!

  • 5/5 Carol R. 1 year ago on Google
Very accessible and easy to spot in the buzz of London. A range of restaurants and shopping spaces around. The breakfast buffet at the hotel was amazing. Well maintained room, facilities and housekeeping service. The lobby is great if you want to carry out your office or study work. Best for a pleasant stay!!

Attended a relationship intensive course hosted by Anna Garcia. Great venue, clean toilets. Did not have the opportunity to stay but def would put it on my list. It seemed quite busy, that's a good sign

Staff at reception couldn’t have said less to us, there were no niceties, just asked us to sign paperwork and checked the room we had booked, there seemed to be a problem with our card but we’re not sure what it was as no one said anything to us two members of staff were whispering about it behind the stand instead. We had to ask which way we needed to go to our rooms as this information wasn’t given to us, we weren’t told that we needed key cards to work the lift until we asked. Room was acceptable but there was a stain on one of the towels and “complimentary mini bar” consisted of two small bottles of water and two cans of coke, there were also no robes or slippers as advertised with the room. Breakfast had no vegan options apart from some baked beans and hash browns, for a hotel in central London in 2021 I find this bizzare. ( we had asked about vegan options at check in and we’re told that there ‘probably would be’ vegan options. For £220 for the night I would stay here again, would receive better service for less than half the price at a premier inn.

Very disappointed with this hotel unfortunately. Stayed as a party of 6 for 2 nights in Dec 2021. This isn't the hotel I booked I was moved to this one. Such a massive hotel with 800 rooms, no customer service, no record of booking, told not booked for breakfast both days 😡 just problem after problem. Would not stay here again. Treated as a lower class guests as a booked through booking.com and no mini bar in our rooms like the other guests. Hotel was clean and very convenient location but no customer service skills. Ruined our trip and I was reduced to tears in the end when I checked out and was told there was another issue and outstanding money. I was given this hotel at my previous bookings charge and that caused alot of confusion for them and alot of stress for me🤷‍♀️
