Very nice pub with a lot of history. It's been around for 120 yrs +. There are even records of books from 1954!

A wonderful flat iron building serving delicious cold beer on keg and a bit warmer from the cask. A little shabby chic with a dining room on one side and the bar on the other. The lady behind the bar is delightful with a smile and the patience to put up with me! She was also quick and efficient. A great find of a pub, thoroughly recommended.

Spending three days in London and staying at a hotel near The Albert Arms. Stopped in for lunch one day and came back for dinner the next. Great service. Friendly staff. Traditional beer battered fish, and chips were great. Sticky pudding was excellent!

Wry good balance of a meal, the schnitzel of pork with its accompaniments Was fab, the only thing I could critique was the meat was a bit grisly. The fish meal was faultless with warm plates too. The beer was well Kept and the sticky toffee pudding was perfect between two.

A nice little pub and was very quiet when I visited. I like the art on the walls. However, there was a funny smell inside. I can't quite tell what it was but it was a bit unpleasant.

Came here especially for Sunday Roast by chance since another place had run out of their roasts and was pleasantly surprised! Absolutely delicious food (especially the roast potatoes!). The service is also great, friendly and efficient, Chiara and Mia were both really nice! I wanted to especially thank Chiara for squeezing us in even though you seemed pretty fully booked! We appreciate it! I'd definitely recommend this place for a Sunday roast to anyone. If you're thinking about it, it's definitely worth trying you, won't regret it!

Sunday roast proved!!! Very friendly and cozy place. Food is good with some home style flavours. The chocolate dessert wouldn't pass the "master chief" critics but is delicious anyway (should have more liquid inside - may be try a minute less baking?) Book a table for a meal, walk in for a drink. Will definitely return!

🚇 Elephant & Castle 🍺 £5.60 Estrella ❤️ I visited The Albert Arms with a few of the lads as part a crawl around Lambeth North Tube but Elephant & Castle tube is closer if your traveling directly here. This is an independent pub whose mission statement is to be a welcoming place for the local community and offering excellent food, beers and service. So how did The Albert Arms stack up. . We sat in the bar at the front which was snug and comfortable, one of the staff who was polite came over took our order. There was a good choice of beers, I had an Estrella which was good and not overly priced. The decor is traditional with an eclectic touch here and there, the walls have several different album covers dotted around and some amazing Gorillaz artwork. There is another bar at the back with a fireplace which is always a nice to have in the colder months. We didn’t eat here but I did check out the menu and the food looks good and also on price point, the great reviews of the Sunday roasts says a lot. . The Albert Arms delivers what it sets out to deliver, which is difficult to do as getting the pub conundrum right can be a tough one to crack but if your hearts in the right place and your passionate about what you do, the right things happen. A nice visit was had here, I must get myself booked in for a Sunday roast.

What a nice surprise was dinner at The Albert Arms! We shared a charcutery dish and it was ok. We only got 1 piece of toast each and some cold meats. Maybe they could add some more toast and cheese to make it better? Anyway I had the double cheeseburger for main and that was excellent. It was juicy, with lots of cheese and sauce. Great burger!!!

Based on reviews we were really looking forward to our Lunch at the Albert arms. There was a group of 6 of us and they were busy so when we booked there was only room in the bar area so we appreciated that. The service was good, staff friendly and a good atmosphere. The food however let the place down a little, 2 of our party had the pate to start, it was chicken liver spread than a pate (almost liquid) however the prawn cocktail and the mushroom toast with crispy poached egg were lovely, for mains the pork cheek and fish and chips were good, the steak (for 2 people) however came out stone cold so we returned them and they cooked us 2 more, when they came out they were still not that hot and quite frankly they were over cooked on the outside, almost burned giving them a bitter taste and then covered in enough garlic to scare off a million vampires. In conclusion, a nice pub with good beer and good attentive and friendly staff but the food is a Minced bag.

Lovely little pub with great house wine. Unfortunately the Christmas lunch was not so good. Undercooked vegetables, over processed turkey and a very small mass produced Christmas pudding. Very disappointing for £35. Not worth that.

A small, friendly, cozy local pub with the kindest staff I have seen in ages, they really made me feel at home. Table wine was a surprise, the staek was tasty. The decor is unusually pleasant - even the empty plate looked stylish. Price is reasonable. Will go back for sure!

Small-ish two-room pub set back from a busy road. Super-friendly, cool prints on the walls, great vibe with a mix of young/older clientele. Will definitely come back if in the area as made to feel very welcome. Food and drink are a bit pricey but still feels like decent value when you weigh up your visit. No screens, thankfully.

I was trying to find somewhere in the Waterloo area for my birthday as I had friends coming from different parts of town. I booked a table for 8 a week before and Sam was really responsive during the week before as the original number was 11. We spent about 3 hours in the pub and everybody ate. I had the duck and I was very impressed - beautifully done and all of my friends were also really pleased with their meals. Selection of beer was good as was the general vibe of the place, nice laid-back gastropub with good service which was exactly the vibe I wanted. The only surprise was that they weren't busier - it was about half full when I would have expected it to be packed on a Saturday night. Really pleased with the choice I made and thanks to the staff, particularly the guy with the glasses behind the bar who was very attentive. Would highly recommend a visit if in the area.

A real gem near E&C station. Fantastic pub food, friendly service, excellent wine list, and pleasant clientele. The pub is beautiful and on a surprisingly quiet street so near the hustle and bustle. Highly recommended!

I had a lovely time at the Albert Arms for my 30th. We were able to reserve the back bar area which was a lovely private space perfect for couples with young children and it was just really chilled and relaxed. Would definitely recommend for anyone needing to book a private area for a large group, didn't require any minimum spend just £50 deposit which was transferred back quickly. Service was really good and the food was great also.

Nice pub with cosy atmosphere, great services, food is nice but quite standard but comes at a high price.

Fantastic food with totally great service. Lovely pub and a really relaxed Sunday vibe. Just the right mix of buzzy but still able to hold a conversation thanks to it being several smaller spaces rather than one huge room.

Great little pub, we had a nice time here - food was tasty and staff were accommodating. Nice toilet, large bar with some on street seating

It was a really good experience. Went there with some old colleagues for leaving drinks. Meals, chips, crisp, and lots of drinks. Nice guys. Toilet available. Can take lots of people in one crew. They've got space. Good location for after drinks transportation as it close to the station (underground, overground and bus stops).

We booked the ground floor semi private space for a Christmas dinner for 26 of us. And we had such a wonderful time. The food was delicious! Really yum. Staff were just lovely. Brilliant atmosphere. This really is a lovely little pub. Thank you!

Great little inconspicuous pub with good service and lovely Sunday roasts. Great communication with bookings for a larger group. Thanks Sonata for being so helpful! There is a nice spot outdoors, shaded from the sun. It’s only a short walk from the Imperial War museum which is well worth a visit.

Got to be the best Sunday lunch in this part of town. Plus the beer is in decent shape - and the staff really friendly.

I’ve been coming to this pub since 2017 - the manager Zak was particularly fantastic tonight which has spurred me to finally write a review! The food is consistently excellent despite a variable menu, the beer range is wide and unique, and the service is exemplary. Would suggest if you’re anywhere near elephant and castle!
