Bar Bar and grill Cocktail bar

🫤 Cosy underground speakeasy type cocktail bar with table service. This place is a nice contrast to some of the places in Soho which can get pretty packed. However, we found the service really slow, a 15 minute wait for our first drinks order to be taken, by a guy who was quite snooty and looked annoy... People often mention drinks, cocktail, drink, great, service,

Cosy underground speakeasy type cocktail bar with table service. This place is a nice contrast to some of the places in Soho which can get pretty packed. However, we found the service really slow, a 15 minute wait for our first drinks order to be taken, by a guy who was quite snooty and looked annoyed to have to deal with us. The cocktails on the menu are quite interesting and different, but they do the usual standards too. We had a passable negroni. Sadly they messed up our second order (forgot my partner's drink). All in all an ok place, but if you're after a good speakeasy cocktail bar in London, there are plenty that are better than this one. And grumpy service is a no no!

Decent bar with a lounge feel. Bartenders are friendly and great to chat with. The drinks themselves are mostly classics done well. Note that you have to buy some food while you’re there to stay at the bar if not they’ll add a fee - which we didn’t mind till there was a 30 min delay on their fries.

The drinks are pretty good. However, the front of house is unbelievably bad. On a Saturday night, told of a 5 minute wait I then had to wait 45 minutes only to find a half empty bar when finally we were admitted. Combined with lax attention to the atmosphere in the bar itself, I wouldn’t go again.

Fantastic service from the bar crew! We were bad hopping and after a disappointing whiskey sour at the other bar, I was looking forward to a decent one. And this place surpassed my expectations. Bartender was patient to listen to what I want - a whiskey sour-like drink with egg white foam but not a whiskey sour, and served in a pretty glass. He delivered what I asked for with a great smile. Will recommend and return.

We went here for a late post-shopping drink. It's a bit hidden beneath a fine dining restaurant, so you have to ask at the counter for it and they will check if there's space for you. The staff was very friendly and respectful throughout, despite us two being dressed up pretty casualy. The prices of the drinks were the usual for higher class cocktail bars, so expect to pay at least 8£ for your drink. The quality of the drinks were very nice and worth it, though.

This subterranean chamber of a bar is a perfect place to bring a date, partner or friend if you want to shut out busy Soho and Regent's St above. Decked out in dark browns and worn leather, this place has a great cocktail list and drinks selection as well as a handful of well-chosen bar snacks to help sink the drinks. In addition to the list, the bar staff were more than happy to offer that they can make up any preferred cocktail if it wasn't on their menu which I thought was a nice touch. Good food, great drinks. Great place.

Whilst getting in can be a challenge as it’s quite small so fills up quickly, it’s such a nice bar. Understated and quite intimate, there is a long bar you can sit against or they have comfy chairs around tables which is a great spot if you’re 4 or 5 people. I wouldn’t recommend for large groups thought. They clam you have to eat something in order to drink due to their liscejce but I’ve never been forced to do that unless I’ve wanted to.

Good atmosphere and friendly staff. Unusual selection of cocktails that tasted great. Marked down because the service on our third drink was very slow: we waited ten minutes at least.

A cosy underground cocktail bar serving a broad but well thought out selection of drinks. The team are friendly and attentive, and the cleverly sunken bar is great for sitting at.

We popped in for drinks yesterday evening. My partner's drink was nicely mixed and tasted good. However, my cocktail (Donkey something) was watery. The staff are very nice but service is slow.
