We have been really impressed by our experience at Ormer Mayfair. This is probably my favourite restaurant in london and i can’t wait to go back. The decoration is beautiful, unique and very cosy. I suggest you start by a drink at the bar. We had a 5 course menu; it was simply delicious and so beautifully presented. Last, the service is better than in 3 Michelin stars. I suggest you ask for the table of 4 behind the curtains.

I visited Ormer Mayfair last week during a trip to London. I visited with my girlfriend and we both had the tasting menu and we opted to add the lobster as an additional course. And we both had the wine pairing to go with the tasting menu as well. We were welcomed by their staff and throughout the staff were perfect. And I would like to say our waiter, which was Dimitar, was amazing and friendly. Well worth trying if you are into tasting menus.

Not the best nor the worst experience, but expectations were not met. Had booked a brunch for 2 last Saturday. Staff was so busy on arrival that I stood at the entrance for a good 5 minutes, then was seated so swiftly I had to (call a few times) wait for a waiter to arrive and inform them I had a booking thus wasn't a hotel guest, upon which the waiter showed me to the table where my friend had been seating for the past 10 minutes waiting for me. Off to a great start, and it only got worse. We had to ask for a copy of the menu after being sat a good 15 min or so, our drinks order was not taken correctly so my friend had to wait an extra 10 minutes on top of the half hour it took to bring out a hot chocolate and a latte (which for some reason, first came out as mint tea). My small cup of hot chocolate could have been more aptly renamed as 'lukewarm' chocolate - it was just shy of plain cold. However, it seems that my friend's latte was not much hotter/warmer so I do wonder how they prepare their "hot" drinks. Now onto the plat de resistance, the egg benedict for my friend and smoked salmon for me. One sad slice of white bread, which tried to pass off as sourdough, nice scrambled eggs and a fair amount of smoked salmon. It was okay, not sensational, not even the best traditional breakfast/scrambled eggs I ever had. For the price and place, an utter disappointment. Service was painfully slow and the waiter couldn't wait to get away from our table (great vibe!), food was average, nothing outstanding to speak of and atmosphere was okay. I wouldn't go back nor recommend the place.

We dined at Ormer on the first night of a 5 day trip to London in January 2024 and it was a great start. The staff were friendly, very helpful and happy to chat between courses about our thoughts on the food. Each course was delicious and packed with flavour. From the generous canapes, deconstructed Waldorf salad opener, stunningly light barley brioche, richly flavoured warm Iberico ham jelly, via the cured mackerel, impressive 2 dish pigeon followed by the brown butter and chocolate dessert, right down to the petit fours we enjoyed the lot! The flavours were all distinct yet blended well. At the end of the meal we were given another petit four to take away plus a small signed and dated copy of the menu to keep- a lovely extra touch and something which just added to the experience. We'll definitely return the next time we're in London!

I had an exquisite dining experience Ormer. From the moment I stepped in, the ambiance was enchanting, with dim lighting and elegant décor. The service was impeccable, with attentive staff guiding us through the menu and ensuring our every need was met. The menu itself was a culinary masterpiece, offering a fusion of flavors that delighted the palate with each bite. The presentation of each dish was a work of art, and the attention to detail was truly impressive. The wine pairings recommended by the sommelier perfectly complemented the dishes. It was clear that the chef's passion for their craft shone through in every dish. This fine dining experience was a memorable journey of taste and indulgence that exceeded my expectations in every way.

We had the 8 course menu and every course was delicious and all worked together very harmoniously! It feels like a real treat eating there and well worth the price, we would definitely go back for other special occasions.

I came here for dinner alone. From the moment I walked in I was treated like royalty. I was a little early for my dinner reservation and they kindly escorted me to the bar for a pre dinner drink. When I finished they led to me to my table, located in the exact spot I requested. Every course was described in detail. They never failed to suggest the order in which to eat things. The flavors were sublime. The cocktails were delicious and expertly crafted. When I went to the bathroom, they rushed to open the doors for me. I truly felt taken care of. This place definitely deserves a Michelin star. I dined at a different restaurant that had a Michelin star the next night , but I can honestly say that Ormer was way better in all aspects. I’ll definitely be coming back and I recommend it to everyone.

Well worth a visit! Excellent value for money, the food was exceptional. The 8 course tasting menu was well worth it. Will be returning for the next menu change.

Michelin-worthy food and fantastic service in a well-hidden Mayfair dining room. It's tasting menu only (6 or 8 courses, with an optional cheese course). Every single dish was excellent so it's hard to choose a favourite, but I'm going to say the langoustine and the poached cod were at the top. Absolutely divine. And while it's not cheap, it's actually reasonably priced by Mayfair standards, especially when you consider it's within a 5* hotel too. The wines were good but the food was the standout - although the red dessert wine from Uruguay was very unusual and delicious, and well worth a try. Top marks all round!

This place is simply divine. The scallop for starter, the plaice, the pork belly for mains, the guava sorbet, the chocolate brownie for dessert are all impeccable. If the bread and butter were warm, then it would be absolutely perfect experience. Also, the service was really nice and friendly, and atmosphere was really casual and enjoyable. We had a 3 course meal with a glass of champagne for £37.5 . Definitely will come back for more surprise and recommend to friends who enjoy great food.

One of our best experiences in London. We would say top 5. The food was divine, we went for the pescatarian menu. They change their menu often. The ambience is really cozy, quiet and nice decor. Nice selection of paintings. It’s definitely a place if you like art. The staff were very friendly, polite, and really treated me and my guests very well. It was my birthday and they provided the best atmosphere we could have. Definitely we will return and highly recommend Ormer. When you choose a place more refined like this one you really expect everything sparkling and perfect. I am quite picky with places and I couldn’t find one single fault. I would suggest just a piano as background, apart of that, this experience was perfect.

I had an exceptional experience at Ormer. The tasting menu was a delight, showcasing a variety of dishes with intense flavours. The staff's friendliness created a comfortable atmosphere, and the sommelier added a touch of humour and charm to the evening. Each dish stood out with its unique taste, making it a memorable culinary adventure. Highly recommended for a delightful dining experience.

We had a wonderful culinary experience at the Ormer Mayfair Restaurant. I say experience, because one gets to know the staff by the name, elegant yet cozy interiors, lights that are dimmed and food coming at a pace that makes it really enjoyable. Before even starting the exquisite dinner experience, we had the chance of getting to know some of the wines and champagnes from the first class sommelier Piotr. The restaurant manager Lorenzo and his team are all very professional and funny. And then there is the chef and his team. Absolutely exceptional food that delivers both on presentation and taste. So many intriguing dishes made with only few ingredients is what makes a chef stand out from the crowd. One has three different tasting menu options able to please any requirements one might have. It should not come as a surprise to anyone that this hidden gem in Mayfair was awarded recently a Michelin star! Definitely we will eat there again soon!

Good quality for price, service was excellent. Food was too creative for our taste, especially in the mains and dessert which were not balanced and too experimental. The Asparagus (main) with strong vinegar aromas and a chocolate Millefeuille were the biggest disappointment in the menu which is why I would give 3 out of 5 star. The wine was decent. The music was not a good fit with the restaurant (think retro videogame music) which was very neutrally decorated. The plates and cutlery were very simple and plain in color but had a nice quality to them. At £79 per person it is good quality for money however for a better experience in a one star Michelin go to Hide around the corner which has a real atmosphere and where dish are more balanced.

I’ve decided to visit Ormer knowing that they have a great head chef and they also recently won award as the best luxury restaurant in London. They did not disappoint. The service was on top, I felt very well looked after from the moment I’ve arrived. The food was simply delicious, the flavours and presentation was immaculate. I can not wait to come back. They do think about every detail.

We chose the eight course tasting menu at Ormer to celebrate a special occasion; and it did not disappoint! Both the food and the service was absolutely fantastic. Such a memorable experience. We did not pair the courses with wine as we are light drinkers, but still, the sommelier asked us what what type of wine we generally enjoy, and made a recommendation of wine by the glass to enjoy throughout the meal. We will definitely return for celebration meals in the future. Absolutely incredible food.

This was a memorable dinner. Outstanding in every way. Beautiful cocktail bar beforehand with attentive and wonderful service. The five course tasting menu is just sublime and an absolute must. Although there is a seven course which included two amazing sounded dishes on top. The canapés weren’t only elegant and beautiful in appearance but lived up to to it in taste. Followed by the main event, all were heavenly and cooked with such skill and technical know -how. The chefs came front of house to describe dishes, a lovely touch and shared the enthusiasm of the food they have prepared. The wine pairing is just amazing with multiple regions covered. Again, all explained in a passionate way showing a real “love” for what they are doing. Informal atmosphere with formal dining, the perfect combination. The cheese board is a must (for cheese lovers) amazing and varied. Finished the meal with a wonderful desert which complimented the meal before it. Wholeheartedly recommend Ormer, ,how it is not Michelin Star is somewhat puzzling. Hopefully won’t be long .. it thoroughly deserves it. Thank you to all at Ormer for making this a truly wonderful experience.

Such a good restaurant the food is amazing and we really loved every dish. Definitely go to this amazing restaurant. Beside the amazing food don’t expect a lovely ambiance because to us it felt very stiff, no background music and the decoration/furniture should be a bit more modern if you ask me. But the food compensate this completely because it is so so good.

We celebrated my partner's birthday at Ormer and we loved the experience. The place is beautifully decorated, the atmosphere a retro vibe from the 40s, with lighting and decoration carefully thought of and designed. We had a five course menu paired with wine, the food was excellent with a special mention for the mackerel and the lamb, exquisite flavours and textures made in heaven. As for the wine pairing menu, the choices were clearly made to put all the lights on the food with a good balance of classics and less known wines. I really enjoyed it and on a next visit, I'd love to see some more bolder options. The portuguese vinho verde, from the Loureiro grape and the Pouilly-Fumé wouldbe great additions :-) At last but certainly not the least, the service is exceptional. Friendly, very knowledgeable and attentive the team has my five 🌟

My husband and I went twice for our birthdays to Ormer. It was an unforgettable experience. The food is outstanding and better than some food served in Michelin stars. The service was excellent: Matteo was our waiter, he was very professional, kind and very knowledgeable. Speaking to him was a real pleasure. The manager Lorenzo and the sommelier Josè were awesome to. We will come back soon! Thanks!

had a wonderful date night at Ormer Mayfair. Went for the full tasting menu which had a few courses that were recently replaced. All the courses were excellent, no exception. Well executed, harmonious, wonderfully presented dishes, some quite original. The service was great - attentive, well paced and friendly. The design of the place felt a bit old, and the music volume was very low to the point you can hardly here it with chatter from the other tables becoming more prominent. The music itself that was playing wasn't really around a different theme or genre. The speakers also sounded a bit flat. This should be improved. Other than that, a really exceptional dinner. Highly recommended.

It was the most lovely experience. If you want a fine dining experience with a really comfortable relaxed, yet still very grand surroundings - you must come here. It was a truly remarkable evening. The dishes were something we’d never tasted. It was the first time we’d left a tasting menu feeling comfortable but fully content and well fed. The dishes just keep coming. There are plenty of fish dishes which keeps it light and you feeling good. It was unlike any tasting menu we’ve ever had. The service was superb. We were wonderfully looked after. Our sommelier had great suggestions. A five star experience.

Great experience, with great service and great food. We had the 8-course tasting menu accompanied by 8 selected wines. My only comment would be that my partner's wine 8-course-menu only included 1 red wine and mine none at all.

Came here for breakfast with my hubby and cousin. Staff were very welcoming, attentive and caring. Well made breakfast with fresh ingredients and the atmosphere was lovely. I would recommend coming here if you are looking for something a bit more special than your average breakfast place in London. Thank you Ormer.

Absolutely something else. We came for our 30th wedding anniversary and we were not disappointed for a second. There is no a la carte, just a 6 course tasing menu (£85) - the only alternative is an 8 course tasting menu!!- which is more than enough although we were greedy and had a further excellent cheese course (as expected from Paxton and Whitfield in Jermyn Street not far away), Service immaculate : wines by the glass of the highest quality and an truly expert French sommelier : listen to him!! Madeira (chilled Malvasia) is, exactly as he says, fantastic with soft cheeses. Glorious for a special occasion.
