Exceptionally well-appointed hotel. We had a spacious room with a very comfortable bed and stunning views over St Katherine's Dock and Canary Wharf. The staff was efficient and friendly and as it was my birthday a bottle of wine was sent up to the room with a card, which was much appreciated. It has an elegant and sumptuous feel whilst being relaxed and welcoming. We thoroughly enjoyed our cocktails in the mezzanine bar overlooking the Thames and Tower Bridge. Thank you for making my birthday extra special and we look forward to staying again.

We had an absolutely fabulous time staying at this hotel.! The location was incredible as the hotel is immediately next to the Thames with lovely paths to walk along and an amazing view of Tower Bridge as soon as you leave the front of the hotel. The location features a number of great restaurants and cafes along the nearby Katherine's Dock which is a lovely area to walk around. There is a tube station very conveniently located nearby. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was a very good size and the bed was extremely comfortable. A great place for business as well as pleasure. We will definitely stay there on our next visit to London!

Amazing location, St Katherine's Dock next to Tower Bridge. My room was furnished to a good standard and I found the bed particularly comfortable. The en suite had one or two issues which needed attention, such as a loose toilet roll holder. The shower (over a bath) had a good water pressure although there were slight fluctuations in temperature. The inclusion of under floor heating and night lights were particularly appreciated. Our evening meal in "The Vicinity" was very enjoyable. Staff were attentive and courteous and the food was excellent. For breakfast there was a wide range of options available, although I didn't sample it all. For my taste the bacon and hash browns were a little over crispy. On balance I believe the hotel offers good value and I look forward to a return visit.

Amazing views of the Thames, Tower Bridge, city views, and beautiful marina at the back. Great location close to many landmarks. Very friendly and accommodating staff who made us feel at home. They were so nice to our 2 years old boy. Staff at the reception, restaurant, room service were all friendly. I didn’t get the named of many nice employees but I remember Grace at the restaurant and the lady manager were super nice! Such great people here. Really great experience. Only thing i would add is the rooms would need some refreshing, renovation. But the bed were comfortable. Would stay again! Will miss this place! Cheers!

Despite only staying just one night at this hotel. We were greeted in our room with a disgustingly blocked toilet that was nearly over-flowing. However, this was sorted after us having to leave the hotel for 3 hours just after checking in. On the other hand, the room was lovely and was very decent for the price. We had an amazing view and the hotel was in a great location. The view of the Tower Bridge was outstanding and much better at night. The staff were very friendly and welcoming!

Ideal for families or couples, considering its convenient location with easy access to various attractions. There are diverse restaurants nearby, though it's advisable not to expect premium facilities from the hotel. The value for money is slightly weaker, and during peak seasons, early reservations are recommended.

Stayed in this hotel for 1 business week, and I can say it's on of the best hotels I've been to... The receptionists were super friendly and professional. They offered me an early check in and also luggage storage free of charge. The view was amazing on the harbor, and the service was excellent. Room is spacious and bathroom comes with a bathtub. Location is super strategic and just next to the Tower Bridge. Overall, I would definitely stay in this hotel again...

This is a brilliantly located hotel, the beds are very Very comfortable. The bathroom is spacious and the showers good. The actual corridors are very challenging to work out where your room is as everything looks similar and the internal signage could be improved. The breakfast is amazing and the staff are meticulously organised at the breakfast period so don't worry if there is a queue, and it's worth a short wait. What could be improved... The lifts! They have a mind of their own. But the upside is that it created camaraderie among the guests. Its a superb place to stay!

Excellent location right in front of Tower Bridge and walking distance to tube. Restaurant on site and very helpful staff. Good deals at check in for an upgrade. We had a nice suite facing the bridge and enjoyed the robe and slippers.

If you want the be close to the city but still want to enjoy the silence then this is a perfect hotel. I recommend to take a room with view at the Tower Bridge, this is a magnificent view. The room was just as we expected, it was clean and had everything we needed. A bottle of water every day, fresh towels, a hairdryer, a kettle to make yourself a cup of tea or coffee. The staff is friendly and willing to help if necessary. The underground station and bus stop Tower Hill is just 800m from the hotel. Restaurant Vicinity is the same building if you like to have diner at the hotel. At the marine just around the corner are more restaurants.

Had a great stay here. Nice and clean room overlooking Thames. Had view of half of the tower bridge which looked amazing at night (there are dedicated rooms with full view of tower bridge, but obviously you'd have to pay more for that). Decent space equipped with blow-dryer, iron and ironing board, safe lock. Bathroom was clean but found it a bit small comparatively. And old as well. Can do better with renovation. Amazing staff. Check-in and check-out was smooth. Breakfast was okay. There was a huge line for the breakfast. Apparently we picked the wrong time for breakfast. There are posters in the lift as well as common washrooms that it's busy after 9am and we could avoid rush if we go early. But we didn't imagine it would be this busy! There is parking available on premises, although payable. £25 for 24 hrs which is okay as compared to other 24 hrs parking lot nearby.

I had made a reservation just to take the photo, being a photography lover and all I had to get the view, the staff were super nice with providing me with a beautiful room with a view. Be sure to take a lens skirt to help avoid reflection from the window :) Superb service - the staff want your stay to be as perfect as possible, They are very obliging, helpful and incredibly polite. The room was extremely comfortable. Bed was superb The view is what we come for, and could spend hours just gazing out of the massive picture windows and the iconic Tower Bridge. Highly highly recommend this hotel

Amazing hotel! I stayed here for my birthday a couple years ago as we were going to dinner at the shard and this hotel is in a great location! Such a close walking distance to tower bridge. When we arrived we had only booked a standard room and they had upgraded us for free to a room with a tower bridge view. The views from there in the day and night were incredible! The bar downstairs has nice cocktails and they have a nice outdoor area with fire pits. We also added to have breakfast in the morning which was so tasty. We were served a fry up with toast, juice, tea, and coffee and all with a lovely view of tower bridge. The room was lovely too, bed was comfortable, had channels on the tv to watch, and had our own mini fridge with little snacks too. This hotel is so nice I have booked to go back next weekend for my anniversary. Would highly recommend!!

Really disappointed with my time at the Tower Hotel. I used to stay here annually for a week or so and haven't been back since COVID. Booked a suite which had seen better days, was freezing cold and felt like it was in a disused part of the building. After complaining I was moved to the main building, which was definitely warmer and felt more comfortable but still far from luxury. Breakfast was average and staff were generally friendly although each day they were arguing amongst themselves in a foreign language and on two occasions entered into disagreements with management in the middle of the dining room. Food was cold at 6.30am when the breakfast service had just started! The reception team were great and a particular thank you to a Spanish lady working check in whose service was outstanding and reminded me why I used to stay there. Just a shame the hotel has been left to go downhill and doesn't have the same feelings as before. I booked three rooms for work and six colleagues also booked rooms but unfortunately everyone agreed we would not return due to the general poor condition of guest rooms and facilities. The location remains excellent and accessible to some amazing parts of London.

BLACK MOLD EVERYWHERE! Had we checked out a night earlier, this would be a completely different review. When we arrived, there was no visible problems with the room and we booked three nights. My husband and I each took a hot shower the first two days, and were glad we did, as the heat/steam exposed a real problem-the hotel has black mold covering the entire bathroom ceiling, and outside the bathroom on the ceiling that extends into the closet. The hotel is clearly aware of the problem, and tried to paint over it to hide the issue, but mold grows with heat, hence why it was suddenly visible. My husband works in health and safety and was very upset but I thought, “it’s an oversight, no big deal, we’ll just have them move us.” Reception was very apologetic and moved us to a different room of the same quality(double bed with a view of Tower Bridge) on a different floor, which seemed fair to me. So we pack up and move to the new room, only to find the same issue(my husband scratched a tiny spot of the paint to reveal very thick black mold). This time when I went down to speak to reception we were told “all of the rooms will have the same issue, no matter where we put you. It’s an old building.” Absolutely not!! This was our third hotel on the Thames for this trip, and as stated above, my husband works in health and safety. This is most definitely NOT normal or acceptable. It was only after my husband told the hotel manager who he works for and that he would report it and have those floors shut down that they quickly changed from “this is normal” to “we’re so, so sorry and we’re working to fix the issue as we speak” and they moved us to an executive room on still another floor, and this time offered to help us with our bags, which we declined. The thing is, we didn’t want a higher price room, and don’t appreciate the hotel manager treating us like we were trying to get something for free. We just wanted what we paid for- a room with a view without MOLD. I’m a cancer survivor, I can NOT be breathing that in. Even if I wasn’t, why would you expect your guests to be ok with that? Unbelievably disappointing for what otherwise would have been a wonderful experience.

This hotel only had 2 cons for me. The first one was the bathroom in the room - dirty, not everything worked as it should. It is obvious that it has not been renovated for many years. The 4-star standard should not allow for such a bathroom. Apart from that, the room was good, the bed was very comfortable. A large offer of channels on TV. View of the small marina. Second breakfast at the hotel - a large selection of products, but not seasoned with salt and pepper. Moreover, the service was very helpful and polite. A great option is luggage storage.

I really wanted to like this hotel because it is a good price and in a great location. There are lots of good restaurants within walking distance, the rooms have great views and the hotel is close to a tube station. However, the rest of what I have to say outweighs all of these positives. We took my wife's parents for her mother's 70th birthday and booked a bridge view room for them and a suite for us. The suite only had a queen size bed, and there was no top sheet, just a down comforter which is too hot to use in the summer. The toilet seat was in desparate need of replacing (literally the quickest and cheapest fix there is), and the shower oscillated between scalding hot and freezing water, so showers were not fun. The bridge view room had a king size bed, but the air conditioner barely worked. The first time we asked for a portable air conditioner, maintenance brought up a machine that spewed gas and smoke and ended up making our parents sick. A second machine was brought up, which was supposedly purchased at the beginning of the summer but did nothing to help, so they were given a different room. Wouldn't you know it, the air conditioning in that room was worse than the first one. We asked again for maintenance to come check on the problem, but there is only 1 maintenance worker, and they are only there from 9-5, so there was no hope of getting any help. The staff is the absolute worst group of people you want to deal with, and they didn't care at all about our issues. I would absolutely recommend you stay ANYWHERE else. Zero stars for service!

great location, & there’s restaurants in the hotel which is pretty good. The Jack Daniel’s restaurant in the hotel was good their food was amazing. The only thing we are disappointed about is that during our entire stay our room was never cleaned which is pretty disappointing because it would be nice to come back to our hotel room cleaned. Their breakfast was ok it wasn’t the best for a £22 per person I suggest to eat somewhere. I’d still recommend this place!

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. And what a wonderful location. We were lucky to have a view of tower bridge from our room. The hotel bars were very good too. I heartily recommend this hotel and will look forward to staying again. I'm just knocking one star off as I thought the scrambled eggs were terrible! Can't babe everything though!

Incredible stay at the tower! Staff went above and beyond. When we checked in at 3 our room wasn’t quite ready so we were escorted to the bar for complimentary drinks and the cocktails were lovely! Our family room was really clean and spacious with stunning views over the marina. We had drinks each evening in XI bar for happy hour and the waiter was superb and really friendly with our children. The breakfast was fantastic every morning. We were really well placed to explore London and it was the perfect base. We felt safe here and there was lots of choice for food each evening at the hotel and the restaurants around St Katherines Docks. We would give it 6 star if we could and will definitely be back :)

Great hotel for a good holidays in London. Excellent location from which to walk along the riverside to the city centre or enjoy a night out in The City. Tower Hill tube is an 8 minute walk from the hotel. The hotel service was excellent and friendly at all times, the cleanliness of the rooms was very good and the receptionists charming. We would have liked the dining room staff to control the rude people more and avoid disturbing other guests. The breakfast was always well prepared, although regarding the variety of sweet, fruits and savoury dishes, it was almost the same everyday. But overall everything was good and very tasty. If we return to London, we will definitely consider this hotel, as we found it lovely, good located, good service and the atmosphere in the surrounding area is ideal. Thank you very much.

Beautiful hotel, beds were so comfortable especially the pillows. We had a great view of the river especial at night. fantastic buffet breakfast. Great location.staff especially the concierge were so helpful. They gave us advice and a map on how to get to our destinations. If planning a late check out , then ask at time of booking as they are so busy the rooms are fully booked and you will not be able to get it. Over all I would definitely recommend this hotel.

For the price me and my friend paid for 2nights i was not expecting such a high class hotel. The location is incredible right next door to the tower of London and the hotel overlooks tower bridge, the view of the tower from my room was an incredible sight to wake up to, the service was amazing we felt like royalty, the rooms were huge, clean and once again shocked i paid so little for what we got!! I highly recommend booking a table for breakfast as it is such a good buffet, the food was incredible and hot!! And the added view of the tower bridge from our table was even better added to the morning experience. The hotel is near lots of bars and restaurants, the tube station is a 10minute walk from the hotel with sights along the way such as a memorial, unlike main London this is a quiet area in the morning and evening, peak time it gets a little busier with tourists wanting to see the tower of London but still pretty quiet.

The hotel has a great location, to transport, to everything. The room was clean and the concierge staff were very polite and helpful. The view from our room was excellent. Mattresses need replacement, my back was not handling sinking in the middle, I am not going to blame the staff for this as I didn’t complain I was too busy trying to enjoy every hour in London. I would stay there again, making sure I get a comfortable bed.

Really enjoyed our stay at the tower hotel! All the staff were lovely and even though we only booked a standard double room, it was a great size with a king bed. The location is right by the tower bridge so the view was beautiful. My only complaint is that our suite didn’t seem to come with a hairdryer so make sure to pack your own!

The location is fantastic for exploring this part of London. My room had an amazing view of the bridge, but not everyone gets this. Great bar with good staff that is open to 1am. The rooms themselves though are quite dated, in particular the old bathrooms. But considering what I paid for the room I thought it was great value, I would definitely stay here again.

Loved the hotel. Amazing view 😍 friendly staff. We had also breakfast at the hotel and everything was just perfect. From the start of our stay in the hotel to very last minute we were treated as special guests and that's how we felt. Amazing experience, we will be back definitely and I can recommend this place with all my heart ❤️

Location is amazing. Beautiful views, close to many dining places and the tower bridge itself is historic and mind boggling to hear the history. Rooms are a bit dated. Bathrooms are just OK. Breakfast buffet was fine but limited chooses. Our room conditioning didn’t work. Took me a day or so to realize. They fixed it the next day or so. I would stay again for the convenience and location for sure.

Pleasant stay with room for improvement I recently stayed at this hotel in London for three nights with my partner, having booked through my company's agreement. Despite requesting a room with a view of Tower Bridge, it was not available upon arrival. The reception explained that the reservation was for a standard room, which left me uncertain about the details. No upgrade was offered, nor did I request one, unaware of what to expect. We were assigned a room on the eighth floor, tidy but notably small. The absence of two nightstands and the lack of outlets near the bed were inconvenient. The view, however, was delightful. Unfortunately, the bathroom had a dirty toilet seat with a noticeable yellow stain, which was easily removed with a damp tissue. The housekeeping service refreshed towels and made the bed daily, but vacuuming was overlooked. While blow-drying my hair, I would have appreciated either housekeeping assistance or the availability of a vacuum for personal use. Attempting to use the TV proved disappointing as it was not a smart TV; YouTube and phone mirroring were unavailable. Overall, my impression of the hotel is positive, but I expected a bit more courtesy at the reception and a room with enhanced amenities.

Hotel location is fantastic. Staff are really friendly. Main gripe is the rooms are baking hot and uncomfortably stuffy so had a poor nights sleep both nights we stayed. Window only opens half an inch so no airflow or AC. Spoke to another guest in the lifts and they said the same thing. We also paid to upgrade the room to a coffee machine and a refillable mini bar. Not worth the £70 a night as the room was a bit tatty, incredibly noisy and they forgot to replenish the mini bar so had to ring reception and remind them. To be fair they sent somebody up straight away.

This was such a great place to stay as we started our Europe trip. We paid for the Tower Bridge view and that’s exactly what we got. When we arrived, the service at reception was fantastic, very attentive and after 22hrs of travelling, it was all we could have asked for. The room itself felt a bit dated but had everything we needed and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The location is great, close to the tube and walking distance to sightseeing locations.

The hotel room was clean and specious with superb views of Tower Bridge. The staff were so lovely and helpful. On site there is a coffee shop and a little shop for snacks. The restaurant Vicinity serves great meals and a selection of cocktails. Can't wait to stay again!

Great location ,literally at the side of Tower Bridge and London Tower. Tube station very close by and easy to get to lots of attractions. Very busy hotel .We got a river view, which was nice. Two negatives; The room fridge didn't work. Also, we were unable to get a constant water temperature in the shower. Overall a good hotel.

Update 12/11/23 Sadly on my second visit a couple of stars dropped as whilst the room was ok it was below the previous standard by some distance. Unfortunately it seems location is everything in the hotel as the room we had was affected badly by noise from doors closing on cleaning cupboards, stairwell and kitchen so a terrible night's sleep was had. A real shame. Original review: Really nice hotel! Rooms were nice and clean and beds were comfy. Staff on reception were really friendly and welcoming on check in/check out. Whole place was at really a good standard of cleanliness and maintenance. Breakfast was excellent. Location is fantastic with great views of Tower Bridge and the Docks depending on which side of the building you are staying in. Lots of amenities close by as you would expect in central London. Would highly recommend!

We booked this particular hotel due to its proximity to the River. The hotel is so close to Tower Bridge that you could almost touch it. We had 1 room with a view and 1 without. Both rooms were far too small to be deemed 'executive rooms', we were there for 2 nights and were starting to feel claustrophobic, especially given our long haul 4 large suitcases. The rooms were so hot (even in October) but the air con was inefficient and noisy, the windows didn't open more than 1 inch and the fan that was provided aimed the air at the base of a divan bed, pointless! The pillows were ultra thin and offered no support and the furniture was too plentiful as well as too large for such a small space. The doors also slam so when the rooms are being cleaned you cannot get a wink of sleep. If you want a base, then this is OK but it's not super close to train/tubes. It has a small shop inside the hotel and there is a Tesco around the corner as well as a Costa Coffee. Given its location it could be amazing but to be honest it's just lacklustre and needs significant investment. Side note: the fire alarm test is 9am on a Monday. We found that out the hard way!

Excellent place to stay, we stayed for 2 nights. The staff were very helpful, we showed up a few hours before check in however the room was ready for us to set our bags down and get ready. During checkout our trains home weren’t until the evening and they allowed us to leave our bags behind until we needed them. Location is amazing you’re very close to tube lines, restaurants, pubs and sites to see. During November and December times you’re also very close to the pop up Christmas markets which are cute. The rooms were also clean and tidy, bed was super comfortable. View was good from our side, I believe you can pay extra for a Tower Bridge view but it’s right on the doorstep anyway.

Lovely hotel. Looking a bit tired in places but clean. Breakfast is a must but pay before you go it's cheaper. Staff are really nice and helpful. Brilliant air-conditioning in the bedroom. Get a room overlooking Tower Bridge it's worth the extra money you can see for miles and there's always something to see day or night

  • 2/5 Mike W. 6 months ago on Google
Firstly, positives: the staff are hard working, polite and friendly. The location is outstanding. The bed and mattress are good. The hotel though is in need of serious maintenance. The heating didn’t work so I was given a plug-in radiator, ok but the shower didn’t work in the morning which is my biggest peeve with a hotel stay. Overall the room was tired. Also I was awaken at 2:45 by a fire alarm, perhaps not their fault but it kinda summed up the stay. Only stay here if you get a room for cheap and you’ve no other option. I’ve paid slightly more for much much better stays.

It's a huge hotel. We stayed in room 626 for 2 nights. It was clean, 4 bottles of water, tea & coffee. Beds were comfy. Bathroom , shower dripped all night, toilet is very very low and as I have a bad back I found it difficult to use. The towel warmer was disconnected and the ventilation was not working leaving the room very steamed up after we all showered, not a major deal breaker but hey its supposed to be a 4 star !!! Last gripe, our checkout time was 11 am. The hotel staff told us at check in. We went to breakfast at 9am and when we went back up to room the cards were cancelled and we couldn't get into our room at 10.20am. I had to battle the lifts for a further 20 minutes to get down to reception to have card reactivated. The concierge reactivated the card for 11am and it took a further 15 minutes to get a lift up to the 6th floor. Staff were very pleasant and chatty. Will stay again happily.

Location is great and it has great views of Tower Bridge. The room I stayed in was tired looking and needed a bit of TLC. I hardly slept because I could not turn off the air con unit and when I tried to call down to both Reception and The Concierge no one answered. The staff were friendly enough. Breakfast was distinctly average. Not overly impressed.

Location was INCREDIBLE! Reception and bar area was beautiful. The reception and staff where fab. The only let down was the rooms. Guys for a 4star they are extremely outdated. 2 young girls in my lift spoke with someone on there phone saying it looked like someone had died in a corner of there room. I love walking and sightseeing but I also love relaxing in my room and I really felt like this was lacking as I didn't want to be in the room at all. The view from the room was spectacular though. I would book a room again no problem but only if I knew the rooms where giving some love and care.

Amazing views from our room. Probably the best view you can have in London from your room. The location is excellent with walking distance to tower pier. The restaurant on site was amazing. Only thing is breakfast was very busy and have to join the Congo line so not got 5 stars!

Loved the hotel, the view from our room, was the Thames and London Bridge, lovely at night with all the lights on all the buildings. Found the toilet was very small, you have to go low down so you kind of have your knees on your chest. The room was clean, people were nice and friendly, had a wet patch on the floor in the bedroom, it did take around 2 hours to get it sorted out. We got another room, which was next door.

Great location, room gad a great view although bathroom needs updating. Overall good value for money. The bar served probably the best whisky sour I have ever had. Dickens Inn pub at the Dock is a great old fashioned pub. Well worth a visit

Location is second to none. Staff are amazing so friendly and helpful? Hotel is bright and spotlessly clean, room had everything you could need and the view of Tower Bridge was spectacular. Breakfast outstanding. Highly recommend and I will very be back.

More a business atmosphere hotel than a holiday hotel and like others have said, it is dated. Staff are polite and helpful and our room with nice views across St Katherine's Dock was nice and clean. The bed was comfortable and the noise from neighbours was minimal. Hot breakfast is buffet style served to you by the waiting staff and tea and coffee is served at your table. We arrived for breakfast at the busy time, well advertised in the reception area, and our wait was less than 10 minutes. The hotel is perfectly positioned for all the tourists attractions and public transport in the area and we wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

  • 4/5 Alan T. 2 years ago on Google
Love the view from the room which is directly at the Tower Bridge. I can admire it at all times of the day. Overall condition of the hotel is a bit dated, requires some updating. But it is overall still well kept and clean. Beds are soft and comfortable and the room size is adequate for couples. What I don't like about the room was the heater/aircon doesn't seems to work. We had to open the window to sleep otherwise it is a bit stuffy in the room, this is despite it being late Dec period. There is also a constant buzzing sound from the outside (it is irritating, but still endurable). Value for money and still a good stay.

We hadn’t been away for a while until we had the opportunity to stay here at Christmas time and it was absolutely perfect! The staff went above and beyond and were very polite, the lady looking after our housekeeping was extremely polite and really helpful and smiley, the room itself was lovely with an incredible view and the restaurant downstairs was fantastic. Over-all amazing stay and will definitely return.

A really nice hotel. The bed was super comfortable and room very clean. A+ for having a view of the iconic tower bridge which was a beautiful bonus. Dining was good also. will recommend.

Superb service - the staff want your stay to be as perfect as possible, so are very obliging, helpful and incredibly polite. The room is extremely comfortable. Bed is superb - it's superking as opposed to double, and blissfully comfortable. The view is what we come for, and could spend hours just gazing out of the huge picture windows and the iconic Tower Bridge. But equally the view from the other side of the hotel, over the pretty marina is also lovely, and we enjoy that whilst eating in the restaurant. Highly highly recommend this hotel. On top of everything else, it's in a perfect location 👍🏻👍🏻

I had the time of my life whilst staying here. I celebrated my 18th birthday here and I can easily say it was the best place to celebrate. The whole week was incredible. Staff were friendly, beds are comfortable and the views were 1000% breathtaking. The breakfast was absolutely delicious. There was only one issue but how can one minor issue ruin a great week and stay. I would 10000% stay again and would highly recommend it to anyone!!

The hotel is good, the stuff is very friendly and helpful. The view is great. The elevators situations is very hard (only 2 out 4 working)we had to wait 5-10 min every time to use them. I wish the breakfast has more options and more vegetables available.

Having won a voucher in work, I decided to travel to London to meet with a friend. After some Google searches and reviews, I opted for the Tower Hotel - mainly for its location and views. As I arrived at the hotel, I was fairly impressed by the vast lobby and reception, which was fairly modern and classy. However, when I got to the room, my opinions were not so positive. The room was small, outdated, basic and quite shabby. The furniture and decor were not of a 4 Star standard, with old wooden cabinets, bath/shower set up with a curtain and no plug sockets beside the bed. The shower controls were of a poor plastic quality and the sink taps were like something out of a kitchen. The temperature of the shower also fluctuated between hot and cold throughout. The views were amazing, I was lucky enough to be given one of the Thames. Breakfast and dinner at were far from exceptional. A very average selection coupled with average quality. Unfortunately on the second morning, I found a hair in my fried egg. When brought up with the waitress, she simply chuckled and walked away which I found very bizarre. The Xi Bar was the highlight of the hotel, directly overlooking the Tower and a great drinks/dining experience. I found this hotel to be extremely over priced based on the room, dining experience and overall quality of the facilities. Had I spent my own money on this stay, I would be extremely disappointed and annoyed

Lovely clean hotel, located right on the river Thames. There is a great night life and atmosphere around the hotel with bars, restaurants and street food all in very close walking distance. We were in London to specifically visit the Tower of London which is less than 2 minute walk from the hotel. Room was a little small but had everything we needed and very comfortable, we also very much appreciated they had provided a fan as we visited during a heatwave.

Lovely hotel, staff friendly and helpful. Rooms luxurious, clean and comfortable. Location amazing, easy to get by a variety of different transport options. Food and drink good, slightly pricey but your in London.. Didn't get chance to see and use all it's facilities but will try to when I hopefully return, can't wait.

Our room was very small but clean. It didn't have a fridge or mini bar but that didn't worry us. Breakfast was good & the bar looking over the river & bridge is great. Service was kind, courteous & very helpful. The location is 5 stars if you're looking to explore the city, St Katherine Docks are behind the hotel with plenty of food outlets as well. Overall, for a couple of nights while touring the city it's a great location, a little pricey but I don't think you will find better.

The view was incredible from our room! Perfect, undisturbed view of Tower Bridge and the Thames, seeing it all lit up at night was a real treat! The room itself was comfortable, fit for purpose and the staff were lovely. The only negative I can see really were the staff in the vicinity restaurant stood right over us whilst we were eating, which was a little bit uncomfortable. They were polite enough but it made us feel a bit judged as they seemed to be watching us eat.

Overall, a very good experience. Check in was straight away, got to use the new touchscreen tablet for checking in. Gave us our room card but not told what level or where abouts to go, so that could of been a bit better. Our room was spacious with good size bathroom, bed and TV. It was all a bit a dated and worn. Few marks in bathroom, cracked floor tile, and dirty shower curtain. Not really what you'd expect in this price bracket for a hotel. The view from the large window was brilliant though. You can kind of understand the price when picking Tower Bridge view. Breakfast included in our deal, and with a selection from fruits, cerals, cold meats and a full English cooked breakfast along with fresh juices you can not go wrong. The coffee was really bad though, very bland but bitter to drink. Overall great experience and would go back again.

Best four star hotel so far :) Easy arrival, check in, and out. Nice room if you are not going to hang out there. Excellence views. Quiet for sleeping. Convenient for train and subways. Very nice location. I did not try dining or other services attached to the property, but it all looked inviting. As did much of the area on both sides of the Thames. Plan to go back and explore that area and London more. It is quite pricey, but probably reasonable for London:)

Great view of the tower bridge. Great location for tower and tower bridge but not so much for West End Attractions. West End attractions were easy enough to get to on the circle and district line but the walk to the tower hill station was a little longer than I would like. What is an awesome if the hotel ran some kind of shuttle to Tower Hill we had a junior suite with a pull out couch. It was great for my family of three.

Lovely hotel with gracious interior designs, clean, and also had helpful workers. We had a great view from one of the top floors overlooking the docks and boats. There are many restaurants located right beside the Hotel and uncountable sites to see near the hotel or within a good walking / driving distance as it is located in one of, if not the busiest parts of London. But what I enjoyed the most is the girl who waited our breakfast table both mornings and remembered what I wanted to drink each time. She was so welcoming! I wish I remembered her name because I wanted to send her a thank you card. She was maybe shorter with dark hair I think? I was surprised that our breakfast was served to us by servers when we stood in line to get our food but also appreciated it!

Definitely not worth 4 stars. We stayed 5 nights. The rooms are in need for a do over. They looked very old and run down. The drain in our room would overflow whenever we tried to shower and there was this damp smell that would come from it. The other room where our other family stayed had a leak in the air conditioner and the room started smelling like mold. They complained to front desk but to our knowledge, nothing was done. Air conditioner in the room I was in did nothing but make noise. There was no working fridge in any of the rooms which was frustrating. Breakfast was stale one morning, and a bit old another. Otherwise, it was very average. Not worth the price you pay for the rooms.

Booked for a business trip, was not perfect in terms of location for my work, but, that more an issue with company travel booking app and other hotel availability. All that said, I found the hotel a fantastic place to stay. Checkin was simple, staff were very welcoming, the room was spacious and with a river and tower bridge view, it was a fabulous view. Breakfast was busy, but the team quickly opened a second breakfast room after a queue formed. The breakfast was great and the choices outstanding. All I All a great hotel. I've actually booked again, even though a 25 minute brisk walk to work and the same if using public transport. So of weather good then will enjoy the walk as I did on this stay. If weather a bit wet, then a good brolly and tube will be needed.

Do not stay here. The lobby is impressive and the staff seem helpful upon check in. We notified them our first morning that our room did not deadbolt properly, and that the AC was not cooling. They said they would check on it. Some 15 hours later when we returned, nothing had changed. We called again to the desk, two security guards came to the room and told us after inspection that the door could not be fixed. They had placed a small fan in the room, but at 83 degrees F it was too hot to sleep. So at near midnight, they find us another room with working air conditioning. The second room did cool properly. In general the rooms we saw were a bit dingy and looked haggard. The bathrooms were also not very clean. The location is near a few things, but if you are touring London you will be spending time on the tube moving to the city center a lot. Upon leaving, I was in the elevator with a new guest who was complaining that her AC did not work either. She was told by the desk they didn't have AC in the rooms. We were there during high summer, but there is an obvious problem with their systems that perhaps as it only affects them a few weeks of the year they don't care to fix their issues. I will be recommend someone stay here, and quite the opposite, I will tell them to avoid at all costs. The one area where the staff met my expectations was the concierge. All of that staff, particularly David, were extremely helpful and were a joy to deal with.

Although the location is phenomenal the hotel itself has its downsides. Paid over $400 for one night in a small room with two twin beds (you can barely roll over without falling off the bed) and a small bathroom. The sink didn’t drain properly, no mini fridge, and cleanliness is alright. The shower water goes from hot to cold so its a very uncomfortable shower. Another thing that was really annoying was that the hotel’s phone number would not work. We tried calling on our cells and even asked a taxi driver to call on their phone. And get this, when I came back to my hotel room at the end of the day my door wasn’t shut all the way. I know I closed the door all the way before I left and I do know that the cleaners came into my room while I was gone. Very glad I stayed far from the elevator or else all my valuables could have been stolen. What I do like is that they have a booth where you can ask for directions and for things to do. I heard from a local that before it became a hotel it was either a car park or offices. Im not saying its a waste of money but try looking elsewhere before you come to this hotel.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay of three nights in July in a room on the fourth floor. Our room had a view of the Thames but not the Tower Bridge. It was a decent size room, but the shower's water temperature fluctuated and we never figured out how to change the room thermostat. The concierge was excellent and helpful as we navigated London for the first time. By the second day, we were comfortable with using the Underground to get around the parts of the city we needed.

The hotel is in a good location with a great view of the Tower Bridge. Beds were comfortable but the room was very hot during our stay and the staff couldn't seem to fix the non-functional air conditioning. Our sons were next door and their room was fine. Although staff members kept saying they would work on fixing it they never did. I think this is a common problem with an old hotel with an old chiller system that doesn't work well. Rather than spend the money to fix the system the owners likely put it off on the staff to stall guests until they finally check out. Due to the location and the price they get plenty of first time business. They have done a cost benefit analysis on it and it's clearly more costly to fix. If you are okay with a hot room this is a good hotel. Otherwise, you will want to book in a more modern hotel.
