Pros: Extremely nice and kind staff, cute place, lots of options to choose from, delicious food/ drinks and great ambience music. Cons: make sure you are not on a diet 😂

A gem in the Lanes. Lovely, cozy place that I love to visit every time I am in Brighton, more than once whenever possible 😋

Cosy atmosphere, amazing scones & cakes and great tea served in cute, funy china. And so many vegan and G.F. options! Can't miss it every time I visit Brighton.

Very disappointing! I had friends and family from USA and we waited on Sunday morning until this place opens without a booking. Unfortunately they could not make us a place to eat even though they had empty seats outside and only one table that came in as soon as the door opened. Place was late to open, empty and no effort was made to have us there. We were 7, they said they could only seat 6 people outside. We found another place and spend a lot of money but I guess this place did not want our money. Very sad as someone recommended this place to us.

Bounced people at the door by saying they were fully booked. We’ve overheard the staff saying they didn’t want to accept more than two tables at a time. Plenty of tables available. No cooked food available that day. So we think they were understaffed. But there was no sign they tried to make the best of it. Dirty tables, slappy cleaning, service very slow. Could be lovely, was mediocre.

We stopped by to have tea and dessert. I had a Darjeeling tea with a spiced Earl Grey cake which was absolutely delicious. The staff are so nice and welcoming - strongly recommend! I love these British tea rooms that keep culture and tradition alive.

Fantastic tea house! Very cozy and with a vintage vibe. The coffee and walnuts cake was delicious, and so the cheesecake! Great coffee and hot chocolate too. They were very friendly fast and knowledgeable

What a friendly welcome and genuine customer service today as we nipped in for coffee. What a treat we were in for, divine cakes and delicious coffee in a relaxed little gem. Thank you for the best experience in Brighton today. 🥰.

It was a bit of a shame because they run out of some things when we visited, and also had a bit of a weird start, we asked for a table and they told us they were fully booked for next 40 minutes We stepped out and my partner approached again asking what happened as he didn't hear the conversation well, and then they said it was ok the manager changed their mind, they had been busy and wanted to go through some washing before taking customers. In the end we had a happy service, staff was lovely, place is cute, but just a couple of tiny things so I'm giving it 4 stars for now. Recommend.

Quite a cute little tea shop. The staff were very friendly and pleasant. The scones were very nice as was the tea and sandwiches. The cake was OK not the best I have ever had. But we really enjoyed visiting and having afternoon tea! We would probably visit again.

Came here with my friend to have a well deserved catch up over afternoon tea on 30/9 and LOVED it! The service was super friendly and we never felt rushed, even though we took an age to order and leave due to chatting! I am a coeliac, and was reassured from the moment I emailed to book the table. They are very aware of cross contamination with gluten and do a great job despite the small size! Wish other establishments would take note! I had a GF scone and it was warm and delicious with a beautiful pot of Assam tea. Loved the experience and will be back! Thank you!

Had afternoon tea for the first time ever for my birthday. This place was somewhat hard to find as it was located in a narrow road in the Lanes. Staff were extremely friendly and the service was fast. Food was also delicious and the prices were great too. It's incredibly hard to come by a café/restaurant that sells affordable afternoon tea, so I'm glad I found out about this place. I'm also glad that I booked a table in advance as there are very few tables and pretty much all of them were booked when I arrived. Overall, had a fantastic time and would surely return if I'm ever in Brighton again.

Happened to stumble across this beautiful tea shop on the most windy and rainy day I have ever seen in my life, the best hot chocolate, the best cheese scone and some of the best service ever! It was very much calming and reduced high anxiety I had had about something else!

Was last here about 4 years ago and pleased to say it's just as great as I remembered. Going forwards, it will always be on my list of stop-offs every time I'm passing through. Staff are very sweet. The tea is good quality. And the scones are perfect. Couldn't think of a better spot in Brighton to pass some time in the afternoon

We have been traveling throughout England for the past two weeks and most days have enjoyed stopping for cream tea. This was our second to last cream tea of the trip and it was the best by far. The person I was traveling with has had hundreds of cream teas and said this was one of the best he has ever experienced! The atmosphere of the tea room is perfect. Soft big band music plays and knickknacks are about. The server was personable, helpful, and her humour was welcoming. The scone was exquisite!! Warm, fluffy, soft, a good ratio of sultanas, and very tasty. They were very generous with the cream and jam too! We highly HIGHLY recommend this place. It was an unbelievably good experience!!

My mom visited me from france and wanted to see a « typical » cute British tea salon, she loved it ! (And me too) Not many tables which makes it super cosy and not loud at all, super menu and absolutely adorable staff. We had tea and cafetière coffee, The sandwiches were also tasty, special mention to the lemon cheesecake that was AMAZING ! Don’t hesitate to pop there, you won’t be disappointed :D

Lovely cream tea not enough Prawn filling in the sandwich and beef had no horseradish. Scones really nice.

I went into this little tea shop today and ordered scrambled egg on toast. Waited about 20 mins , when it did eventually arrived I said to the lady what’s the black stuff she replied it’s pepper. That’s the garnish. I dislike pepper and I also found a piece of egg shell in the scrambled eggs. I could not eat it. When I told the staff I was still charged for a snack which I had not eaten. I will not be going back to to That little tea shop in the Lanes. I did point out that they should let the customer put on their own pepper if they want it.

We had afternoon tea. Overall it was good but a little underwhelming...as although sandwiches were very nice they just could have done with a little lettuce or something to conpliment them the home-baked scones were very good. Unfortunately the toilet/rest room was dirty and toilet roll had run out which is always a shame.

Very friendly staff made us feel welcome and valued. Quant atmosphere. Nice fresh sandwiches. Several options on menu not available. Not many vegetarian options on the day. Scones lovely. Cake lovely but small portion
