Anyone going on a date, watch out for the absolute snake of a waiter Darren. Spent the whole time being super nice, shook my hand at the end and told us to come back another time. Then hugs my date and whispers in her ear that she’s beautiful and he’d love to take her home. Sneaky little Judas.

We came here for our annual Christmas get together and where instantly impressed with Darren! He was such an engaging person and set the tone for a really fun time.. he was friendly and interesting to talk! Thank you Darren.. we will be back xx

We did the Notorious B.I.N.G.O bottomless brunch and it was amazing - the most fun I've had in a while! The MC was brilliant and made us feel very welcome. Super friendly and attentive staff, they were so efficient with the endless drink refills and nothing was too much trouble for them. Can't wait to come back and do it again:)

Best brunch we've been to....and we have been to MANY London brunches! DJ, MC, manager, bar staff all absolutely amazing. Cannot recommend enough and can't wait to come back!

We visited the Brixton branch for tacos priced at £2 each. Despite expecting them to be small, the disappointment came from their lack of flavor, blandness, and being very cold. The vibrant decor didn't reflect in the food. The proteins were tasteless and cold, the tortilla dry, even with added hot sauce. The saving grace was a complimentary small margarita for signing up to their mailing list. My friend enjoyed the fact that the fries were crispy. On a Friday evening, we were initially surprised by the low turnout. However, after trying the food, the lack of crowds didn't come as a surprise anymore.

The atmosphere here is so amazing! The staff are so attentive and really made my birthday special. Especially Darren, he was amazing!! I am definitely coming back and recommending to all of my friends. Service from Melina was fantastic and she made sure that we had everything we needed and that we were having a great time!

Unfriendly service, once it eventually arrived. We finally got seated to be told "just so you know it's an over 21 bar, but it's okay that one of your party is only 18". What does that even mean?? We didn't hang around to find out, and promptly left, never to return.

Barrio, what can I say. We were in there early after the rugby, out very late to the rugby so very sober. One mate touched the glitter ball so head bouncer said final warning (first warning) and anything we'd be out. Didn't agree but fair enough, their rules, this was 20:00 today (24th Feb). We were in there for another 3 hours, no issues, bought drinks, danced the night away with multiple groups. As soon as I was by myself (1 of our 3 left and the other went to the toilet), the bouncer asked me to walk with him outside. I have been in hospitality for 8 years, owning my own management company so I knew exactly what this meant. I spoke very calmly with the 'head' bouncer and he said he saw nothing but got a radio call. The bouncer taking us out could not tell us for 15 minutes what we had done wrong, as we'd done nothing wrong for 3 hours apart from have a good time and spend money but our face clearly didn't fit. We had numerous people ask on the way out what we'd done wrong but the bouncer couldn't tell them. The whole thing is utterly ridiculous and unfortunately for them they've chosen the wrong person to just kick out and assert their authority on. I know exactly what people are looking for to kick someone out and I 100% can be that arse/person that requires kicking out. However after 5 drinks in 8 hours I couldn't be more sober and kicking me out without being able to explain why is simply unacceptable. I spent my hard earned money in this bar/club for 3 hours however this draconian method of evicting people in this day and age isn't acceptable! I work until 4am on most events and have seen all sorts during the night. As I said earlier, the bouncers picked on the wrong person and I think everyone should avoid this place like the plague!!! Anyone that works there, if you disagree, look at the CCTV from the club and then tell me I'm wrong. Happy to have a conversation with anyone over behaviour/drunkness or anything else. Completely unacceptable and totally despicable. Do not bother trying to enter or enjoy your night!!!!

We booked a few tables for my sisters birthday. Loved the vibe here!! Great music, food and cocktails. The best part of this place is Darren 🤩 He was so friendly, fun and attentive. We liked him so much we gave him a HUGE slice of birthday cake!! Recommend 100%

Coming to Barrio Brixton second Friday in a row (now to celebrate my big birthday). Fun crowd and music, vibrant place. Mel, our server both times, is very fast and attentive. And Darren really made our night by keeping it fun. Def coming back for more!

The food is really good and well made. It has the right amount of spice to add a kick to the meal. The drinks are really good too, it's worth the price and it's well presented. The staff are really kind as well, especially one staff member called Mel, she was great at serving my time and giving good customer service!!!

The best bar I’ve been to!!! I went there because of the amazing reviews and it turned out even better than I expected. The staff are lovely, I was served by a lovely woman called Valentina who had such positive and fun energy! She definitely made the experience a whole lot better. Will definitely be coming back.

We arrived on a Saturday afternoon to enjoy some cocktail, however the bar was hirer out so we had find another bar in the area until 6pm When we arrived back, we brought food and drinks, you do this by scanning the QR code on the table with your mobile phone and ordering your drinks and meal and pay for them which is handy. The food was arrived to our table quickly, however the taste was bland and we order a varitey and needed at least some salt and pepper. The drinks are OK, strong with a kick. The atmosphere was busy and Latin remix of club classic in the back. The male host was very helpful and entertaining. We left after 9pm, it was a long day trying to find a good bar in Brixton. Maybe need to go back one more time?

I was excited to try Barrio as I love Mexican food and all of the reviews looked great. However our experience wasn’t so good. I’ve given 3 stars because it was a nice ambience, the staff were lovely and the drinks were good. The food was really disappointing though. The tacos were cold when they were served and the padron peppers were covered in vinegar as opposed to salt(?), we couldn’t eat them. Super let down by the food, but we let the manager know and he welcomed us to free drinks next time we visit which was nice.

Would HIGHLY recommend this brunch. This is by far the best one I have ever done. Lots of Drinks on the table and kept being replaced. We did the hip hop bingo was hilarious! Thank you for the best birthday!!

We had a fabulous night at Barrio Brixton- great drinks, service and atmosphere! Ladies working there are so lovely and really helpful especially Izzy the bar manager - she is fab! We had great craic!

Excellent service, both from security and bar staff. The only negative was that I wasn't able to order using the QR code from my phone because something went wrong between the web page and my bank, but maybe that was a problem with my phone. Tacos are £2 each, tasty, but small, so order lots. Cool music and drinks, lots of dancing.

I visited barrio for my birthday with my cousins and we had the best time ever, Martin served us and honestly he was the best host very friendly and welcoming and made my birthday one to remember. I recommended anyone to visit, the prices are extremely affordable and the drinks are superb. When you visit, ask for Martin, he will make sure you have the best experience.
