Burlington Arcade it was built by the owner of Burlington house, the impressive mansion next to the arcade and that these days hosts the several organisations, including the Royal Academy of Art. It is said that the owner of the mansion, the earl of Burlington, built the gallery as a passage to prevent people from passing through that garden and throw rubbish into his house. London at the time wasn’t the safest city to walk around so the gallery also would allow his wife to shop in a safe environment.

An enduring reputation here for luxury and a byword for extravagance A significant presence of lesser-known foreign brands: expensive, exclusive and premium the métier here. This understated and muted Regency (1818) Arcade as an early exemplar for the strictures, protocols and affectations of the retail trade. The original haunt for the Victorian dandy flâneur and now-days a diversion for the sybaritic shopaholic and sycophantic shop assistant. Consigned to the peripheral margins of both the heritage and retail bygones. But not forgetting those attentive Beadles, resplendent in their Dickensian get-up.

Beautiful small shopping arcade. Takes no more than 5 minutes to walk from end to end. We window shopped. If you are very wealthy and like leather goods, art, glass and jewellery this is the place for you. You can even have your white trainers cleaned by a traditional ' shoe shine boy.'

This is a small and exclusive shopping arcade in one of the most exclusive areas of London. Though not that big, there's maybe 30 shops selling mostly clothing, accessories such as jewellery and watch etc. None of the shops are cheap and well outside my budget. Some items highly unusual with item you'll not find on the high street, so if you've got the money, then go right ahead. The whole arcade contains only one cafe I think, so it's not really a great place to hang out either.

Very elegant place. Have luxury brands sell different items such as jewellery, clothes, watches, and more. Would be perfect to choose for your wedding day such as rings and men suits. Otherwise, go to take beautiful photos of the display like me as I can not afford most of the items 😅 near landmarks such as piccadilly circus and green park.

Just made a purchase and got told off wearing a hat after leaving the store at Burlington Arcade. Really strange policy, made me feel uncomfortable and I didn’t see any dresscode signs at the entrance. I’d highly recommend you rethink your policy. We’re not in the 50s anymore. Billionaires wear t shirts and hats. Look at the latest designer collections.

The staff are friendly but the oat latte was disappointing probably because of the Oatly Barista milk, which I find makes the already milky coffee even creamier. My partner had her oat latte with hazelnut syrup, which made the latte taste better.

Wow. Such a stunning place - the James Bond tribute is so so cool. There are so many different references to James Bond films, with a real effort being made to look classy. It will be very interesting to see what they do for the anniversary launch - there's a countdown clock to help remember.

  • 5/5 Mat D. 2 years ago on Google
Was impressed by the thought that had gone into the decorations here. The 007 theme is very well presented and makes for some great photos. It's almost as if the decorations outshine the shops!
